Lori and Brooke were a joy to work with. They made the wedding preparation process very smooth. Day of the wedding was stress free, since they made sure everything ran according to schedule. Even though we were planning our wedding in Tahoe from across the country, it was very doable with Lori and Brooke on board. The venue was absolutely stunning and the food was delicious (not to mention the food tasting was such a treat and so unique to have one on one time with the head chef). Since the venue is so beautiful, flowers and decor can be minimal. Staying your wedding night at the Edgewood Lodge was a must. Overall, we couldn't be happier that we got married at such an incredible Tahoe venue with a rockstar Edgewood wedding coordinator team. -

My husband and I just recently had our wedding at Edgewood Tahoe! Edgewood Tahoe is an amazing place to get married, it is so beautiful all year round! We were so thrilled to be working with Brooke, she exceeded our expectations of wedding planning, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! She knew I was a little bit of a crazy one and was so sweet with every question and concern that I had. The day could not of gone any smoother than it did. The entire staff was awesome, they made sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying ourselves the entire night. Thank you so much again to the entire staff at edgewood tahoe for making our special day so perfect! -

My daughter recently had her wedding at Edgewood, Tahoe. Our experience was like no other! We did this long distance and everything was planned down to the last detail. Delicious food, beautiful venue and superb service! We would recommend this venue to anyone wanting the wedding of their dreams! -

Edgewood is unbeatable. We didn’t have to spend a lot for flowers & decorations for our wedding bec the facility itself was already beautifully donned up.the postcardesque surrounding is so breathtaking that adding artificial decorations could make it overwhelming.the staff, (cleaners,valet peeps, servers, chef (LONNY), receptionists, wedding coordinators (LORI & MEL),etc, were very accomodating,understanding,& helpful. We are all impressed by their quality service . And oh, food is 👍🏼the best!my hubby & I have decided to make it a habit to stay at Edgewood whenever we’re in town. See you soon!xx -

The venue was absolutely beautiful, and the people that we worked with to organize our event were wonderful. We spoke with Lori on several occasions by phone (since we were organizing our wedding in the Lake Tahoe area remotely, from Santa Fe) and she was always so nice and helpful. She made sure she was readily available for any questions we had (which ended up being quite a lot!) and I consistently came away with the feeling that she cared as much as we did about making sure our reception was fantastic. We got so many compliments on the location, the food and service, and especially the outdoor patio with the fireplace going. I would do everything again in a heartbeat, and I would definitely recommend Edgewood as a place for a beautiful reception/wedding venue. Thank you so much! -

Winter wonderland wedding
Two words,, WINTER WONDERLAND,,, our wedding was PERFECT!! Lori C and the WHOLE crew made our day, our week,, just wonderful. We would NOT have had our wedding anywhere else. Everyone at the EDGEWOOD was professional, courteous, funny, and as soon as we walked in with our party,, made us ALL feel like family. They just treated us like royalty, things went so smoothly and the day of the wedding, as hectic as it was, they made things so easy and beautiful for us. From the WINTER scenery outside, the fire pits everywhere, the Christmas decorations, both in the Lodge and in the Main building,, everything was like a FAIRYLAND and went so smoothly. I have gotten a TON of compliments from friends and family that have attended. Absolutely beautiful setting and we have made many LONG TIME friends as well. We will be celebrating our 1st year anniversary there this DECEMBER!! Thank you everyone at the EDGEWOOD,, we will be back soon!! Monica Sent on 11/08/2017Our guests are still talking about how this was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever been to! We had our ceremony on the North Lawn at the Edgewood Clubhouse on October 27th, 2017. The weather was perfect! Some of our guests stayed on site at the new Lodge-which is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in!! All of our guests raved about the food, the view, and the whole ambiance of our day!! We are so blessed to have been able to have our wedding at this beautiful, magical amazing place. Thank you! Andrea Sent on 03/01/2014I planned a destination wedding from Seattle, WA and was a little nervous about planning the biggest event of my life going solely by other people's reviews and information I read online, but I couldn't be happier with my choice. The venue is breathtaking...more amazing than the pictures they have on their website, which already look unbelievable. If you are planning a winter wedding, my one recommendation would be to book one of the earlier times so you take full advantage of the daylight hours to enjoy the phenomenal setting. The only thing I found a little difficult was the fact that you can only be at the venue an hour before the ceremony. I felt very rushed the day of my wedding, so I suggest making sure you are very organized and have a team of friends and family to help with the many details that need to be done that day.
Everyone at Edgewood Tahoe was fantastic to work with. Debbie and Shannon were both so responsive and happy to answer my endless questions. They were very straightforward with all communication...there was never any confusion or ambiguity. They were very flexible with me which was great! I also got married during a "slow" time, though...I was the only wedding the day of my event. That may be a little different if you are planning a summer wedding and they have booked all 4 times that they offer, but I don't anticipate the level of professionalism being any different. I would highly recommend this venue and my husband and I are already planning on going back to renew our vows in 10 years! -

Edgewood is a great venue. Once we booked everything went very smoothly and the wedding coordinators took care of everything. Our wedding was during covid and we honestly forgot because it was so beautiful. Completely safe and clean venue during these times. Food was great and views on the deck were beautiful during sunset. Thank you edgewood for putting up with us. -

They were extremely helpful throughout the entire process from the planning to the day-of. Their costs are also comparable to other venues in the area, especially if you get their winter special which includes complimentary beer and wine. Best. Venue. Ever! -

Nadia Sent on 06/30/2017My husband and I just got married at Edgewood over the weekend. It was fabulous; our guests raved about the food and the service. We opted to bring in all of our wine and they were able to chill it appropriately. We went with a buffet dinner and it was wonderful; they even allowed guests to go up for seconds. There was more than enough food. The venue itself is beautiful. We were in the South Room and the views at sunset were breathtaking. We couldn't stop people from going outside to take photos. After the toasts we were able to host cigars and whiskey on the side patio which was a hit with the guests. They did an amazing job; but I highly recommend hiring an outside Day of Coordinator- she was able to fix any problems without us knowing that always occur during a wedding (I think one table was missing a couple seats). But overall I highly recommend you see this venue. -

My husband and I were married in August 2018 at the Edgewood. I am giving the Edgewood 2-stars based on the lack of communication from their sales manager / coordinator - Lori Cramer. The venue & scenery itself is a solid 5 stars - beautiful Lodge, lake view, golf course and club house (where wedding receptions are held). If you book your venue here, I HIGHLY recommend hiring an event planner. The Edgewood welcome packet states that the vast majority of couples who book at this venue do NOT hire an outside event planner which I believe is a complete mistake!
I booked the Edgewood a year out from the wedding date. The venue just finished building their Lodge so there is a high demand for having weddings here since they now have an adjacent hotel that sits steps away from the club house. However, the Lodge is VERY pricey (in the summer months) so I'd recommend guests staying at the Hard Rock Hotel if possible.
Most of the problems arose at the beginning of 2018 when they had a staffing change of their event manager / coordinator (which they never gave notification to us about). I would send an email or leave a voicemail and was left waiting for a response for weeks. This didn't happen just once. It happened over and over again in a 8 month span. When I finally asked to speak to Lori's manager, I received a response met with excuses that she was trying to catch up with her emails but was behind. The questions I had regarding the menu, table arrangement, outdoor lighting, etc were basic and easy questions; yet, many times I was asked to wait to get my answer because she'd have to check on it. These are things that a coordinator should already know like the back of their hand.
The reception - Once we sat down for dinner, I noticed that none of the wedding party, myself and the groom had champagne. We were told that our drink limit had been reached during cocktail hour. It made no sense to us since we asked to ONLY have beer/wine/champagne served to guests during this time. We later found out that they were serving mixed drinks which is why our alcohol limit was reached so quickly! We decided to pay additional money so our guests could enjoy some drinks during the actual reception. It was incredibly difficult to get anyone to bring us a drink so the groom's uncle went to the bar to grab us all champagne and brought two at a time to our tables until everyone had a glass. This is minor but disappointing for our wedding party. The major issue was about an hour after the dancing had begun. The groom's grandmother was walking onto the dance floor to dance, slipped on something liquid and fell directly onto the side of her head. The liquid seemed to have been a cocktail that another person had spilled but nonetheless, no one from the staff came to clean it up. Instead the groom went to go grab a napkin from the table and dry it himself. His grandma suffered dizziness and great pain to her lower back and hips the following day and three days later she suffered a heart attack. I was very disappointed with the overall service of the staff that night and their negligence to ensure the dance floor remained safe and dry. Additionally there was no report made from the security on staff.
The next day - We went to pick up our decorations from the venue. Every item was thoughtlessly thrown into 2 of the plastic bins we brought. Candle holders were broken into glass shards. Our wooden wedding welcome sign was severely scratched at the bottom right corner and other items were bent and unusable. If I had been told that the staff was going to just throw every item loosely into a box, I would have stayed afterwards and taken down the decorations myself. Additionally, my veil (that apparently was left in the South waiting room) and an entire $50 box of string lights was missing. I know that the missing items are at my own my discretion, but I had relied on the staff to make sure everything was put inside our "cage" (where supplies are secured).
After everything being said and done, I am leaving this experience feeling like the money my husband and I spent did not match the service that we received. I feel that Lori did not communicate well with me nor the staff at Edgewood. The executed contract and timeline of the wedding was not followed and left me (the bride) running around the venue minutes before my wedding ceremony making sure certain items were corrected. I would like to leave feedback for other people to know what I went through so that it doesn't happen to other couples on what should be a special and magical day. My advise - Hire your own wedding planner/coordinator! Good luck to you!
