Wedding Cake Tasting with Cindy Caradine at Edgar’s

We had a delightful experience at Edgar’s Wedding Cake tasting. Cindy Caradine was absolutely incredible. She was professional, patient, extremely knowledgeable, and thorough. I have never felt as comfortable with someone I had never met as we did with her. I would highly recommend her and this service. Thank you Edgar’s for offering this opportunity.

Edgar’s saved me

Edgar’s Bakery saved me. When my original baker had to cancel two weeks before my wedding, Edgar’s was happy to help in any way they could. They were great. The cake was amazing. I’m a very happy bride

Delicious Cake and Sweet Staff

I had such a fun time tasting cakes with my FH, FML, and mother! We bought both our bride's cake and groom's cake at Edgar's. They had so many people examples to look at and I know we will love our cakes!

I was in love with our wedding cake! It was beautiful and better than I hoped! My husband did not want to have a groom's cake, so they put together a table of assorted desserts, which all the guests loved! I would 100% recommend Edgar's to anyone!

First of all, the bakery is to die for!! Just walking in, I fell in love instantly. Becky Odom was our consultant. She couldn't have been sweeter to me, my husband, my Mom, and especially my Dad. We had several cakes at my wedding. My cake was strawberry (Edgars is KNOWN for their strawberry cake). Grooms cake was chocolate on chocolate. Then we had 4 other cakes: italian cream, caramel, vanilla, and red velvet. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding were I could say "OMG the cake was SO delicious!!!". Most, if not all, of our guest couldn't stop raving about the cakes. The one mistake I made was that I didn't get them in a bigger size! Their prices are so budget friendly, you'd be crazy not to book them for any occasion. If you'd like pictures of my cakes or more info about this vendor, please contact me!!

We used Edgar's for our wedding cake and Grooms cake. Delivered on time and perfect. The grooms cake was chocolate with Choclate ganache and the wedding cake strawberry with butter cream icing. Cakes were so moist and delicious. Should recommend to anyone.

Edgar's Bakery came highly recommended & what can you say?! Just..omsg..amazing! People are still raving over our cakes,everything about them! They were spectacular. They looked beautiful & tasted like everything good in the universe, lol! For mine we did the strawberry cream w/ cream cheese filling & white buttercream & for my husband he chocolate velvet w/ chocolate filling & icing & just chocolate upon chocolate upon..you guessed it....more chocolate!!!!! I was on my wedding dress diet for a month before the big say & said jokingly several times that everyone else would be lucky to get cake & they almost were b/c you just won't be able to get enough

The cake was delivered in a timely matter, despite the last minute change of venue. It was beautiful and delicious. I would definitely recommend Edgar's Bakery.

Before my husband and I met, he used to work at Books a Million and he raved about their strawberry cake. So for our wedding, I called Books a Million and they ordered three strawberry cakes from Edgar's in Birmingham. They are very fast and they deliver them to BAM and you pick them up at your conveinance.

Outstanding!

As my wife grew up in Birmingham, she knew we had to have Edgar's for our wedding cake. The upfront process with them was a little rocky - they missed writing down a couple of details for our wedding cake order that they/we didn't realize until the week before the wedding. However, I am happy to say that they went above and beyond to fix their mistakes. The cakes arrived on time (important for a barn with not the best A/C) and beautiful. Most importantly, they tasted AMAZING. Everyone commented on how incredible the cakes were. Joel and Cindy - thanks for all that you all did to ensure our day went smoothly!

Our wedding cake was delicious! The company treated us so well during tastings and prep to order. Our only issue was a miscommunication which resulted in our cake not being delivered on the day of the wedding. Luckily we chose a fantastic venue who sent someone to pick it up for us!

I used Edgar's for my wedding cake including the groom's cake. When placing my order, 3 months in advance, my husband and I paid everything in full and confirmed all details for both cakes, including cake stands. Well, 3 days before the wedding I got a call saying they would not be able to make the groom's cake. When asked why I was told that the person that took my order was not trained to take orders and should have never taken my order. I was told that I would have to change cakes if I wanted one. The groom's cake consisted of brownies stacked into the shape of a cake. I'm not sure why that could not have been done. The lady that called was so rude! However, I did receive a call from the same lady later that day saying that they would try their best to make the cake. The day of the wedding I noticed the cake stand size I was told to order by Edgar's staff was too small. I asked one of the workers about the presentation of the cake and her response was very rude, again a problem cause by the worker who wasn't trained to take orders which is not my fault at all. The staff did go to their office and brought a cake stand back that was identical to the one I purchased but bigger. Overall, I was satisfied with the outcome but the rudeness I experienced from the workers was very unprofessional especially since all of the problems were caused by a worker in which didn't work with the company anymore.
