Awesome Wedding DJ Team
Eclipse Effect went above and beyond for our wedding day. They were able to help coordinate passages that were read during the ceremony by playing recorded audio files. They also used wireless mics to pick up audio from the officiant, myself, and the bride during the ceremony so that we could be heard over the sound of the ocean waves. They were extremely professional and communicative. They met with us on Zoom and/or over the phone on multiple occasions so that everything was planned out just how we wanted it. The music and dance floor lighting was also fantastic. They cut songs and played them exactly where we wanted them to start and end especially for the dances and ceremony songs. Overall, they were the best and also so nice and we couldn’t have asked for a better team.

May Wedding with Eclipse Event Effects
My daughter had the most perfect wedding at the Fairmont Orchid May 7th. There were so many aspects to planning this wedding from the mainland. Working with Jase Takeya of Eclipse Event Effects to provide the Emcee and DJ at the Fairmont Orchid was so easy and we felt reasonably priced . The interactive website for the bride and groom to help plan their setlist and requests was a nice touch to create the vibe and feel they wanted. Keith and Koshi the Emcee and DJ absolutely killed it! The dance floor was always full and the conga line through the estate area was amazing! The whole event with the coordination, communication, setup and all the team members involved made this wedding the most fun and gorgeous! Great DJ and MC!
We hired Eclipse Effects for our wedding reception in Kona and they were great! Jase was very responsive and attentive to our requests. We were a little nervous planning a destination wedding but Jase met with us over Zoom a couple of times and put our minds at ease. By the time of the event, we had full confidence in him and his team and they absolutely delivered! The music was great and Jase was a wonderful MC! On top of his professionalism, Jase is just a great person. We are really happy to have met him and worked with him. Jase was so great to work with. He tailored our playlist to feature everything we specifically requested and took those cues to create the perfect vibe for our entire reception. The energy was great and was exactly what we had imagined. He was easy to work with, really friendly, and very professional. We also had live entertainment and they all worked so well together, everything was seamless. Koshi was there helping with all the audio too and we can't thank them both enough. We would definitely recommend Eclipse Effect Events again in the future.

Jason was part of our family by the time the wedding rolled around. He is very friendly, positive and easy to work with on all aspects. From the beginning of the wedding planning, Jase has been sooo wonderful and easy to work with. He’s very prompt, professional and values his work. Jase and Koshi even scheduled a zoom meeting a week prior to the wedding to discuss the timeline, music and expectations. They accommodated our needs when I wanted to cancel a part in the timeline or change a song. They worked with our musicians to get the best sound. Best Night Ever!
We knew that we wanted Eclipse Effects at our event after seeing Jase at one of our friends weddings. From the starting point of contact, Jase and his team responded right away and were extremely easy to work with. From helping us plan our wedding day timeline, down to all the little details of our wedding, Jase was very supportive and helpful through the whole process. He even added personal touches to our wedding such as telling our guests our story on how we met and a few funny date experiences. We feel that really helped make our night special. He also made sure to dedicate our wedding night and the memories to be made to my late father which was a great and special way to include him in our wedding day. Everyone was in the dance floor

If you want an amazing music and MC experience at your wedding, you need to hire Eclipse Effect Events. When you know nothing about wedding planning, things get overwhelming but from the beginning Jase was super easy to work with. Very responsive and detailed to every question I had from the beginning of inquiring services till our wedding was over. We were provided with an online portal that was super awesome. Easy to choose the songs we wanted and created a timeline for both ceremony + reception. I had ideas I wanted to incorporate into my wedding day and Jase worked with me and made it happen.
We had a few unexpected setbacks days before our wedding, as our venue was all outdoors for both ceremony + reception and Jase handled it all and assured me all will be taken cared of, which it was. A lot of my stress was lifted from my shoulders. Jase was very professional, efficient, and caring.
I honestly cannot say enough great things about Eclipse Effect Events. Not only did everything fall into place perfectly, but the MC was on point. Interacted with the audience and had them all on the dance floor. They read the guests and catered the music to their liking; EVERYONE was on the dance floor. Our wedding was a success and a night to remember, for sure.

If they're available, do yourself a favor and hire Eclipse Effect Events for your wedding. Jase was an absolute pleasure to work with during our entire process! He was responsive during the planning phases and offered great feedback and suggestions as well as served as an informed resource as we navigated planning a wedding in these COVID times. During the actual wedding he did an amazing job as MC, keeping the wedding on schedule and the audience engaged. All of our guests raved about how energetic and funny he was. Additionally he went above and beyond the call of duty by advocating on behalf of us in negotiations with our venue, and orchestrated a surprise performance (with our violinist) for us during our wedding dance. It was truly a pleasure to work with such an incredibly thorough vendor and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Jason was a pleasure and very easy to work with. He was the one who helped make our night beautiful and brought all of our dreams to reality. The lighting in our hall was amazing. The Emcee kept the crowd engaged and going and the Dj had an amazing selection of music. The string lights we added was also definitely worth it and helped set the mood for the whole reception. He meet with us in the week prior and put us both at ease with our wedding. He has so many good ideas and puts on an amazing show to make your night special. Jase is truly a wonder to work with. He’s very knowledgeable and professional. We planned our wedding from another island, and yet it was so easy to communicate with him about our vision. His online portal was easy to work with and was a great tool to plan our timeline and music. In fact, he has lots of wonderful experience and input to share that is unique and fun. He even emails wedding tips so you can read up and gain more knowledge of what is expected on your big day. Jase and the team at Eclipse are fantastic to work with. He kept our wedding exactly the vibe we wanted. He maintained the schedule we requested, but allowed for flexibility, including giving my wife and i a few moments to ourselves on the big. This is something we appreciated greatly. He incorporated requests from our guests into the set and everyone had a great time.
A fantastic bonus was that Jase met with us a few days before the wedding and coordinated with us 1-on-1. He shared with us some great travel tips on the island, including locations that were must-sees and weren't necessarily on guides.
For a destination wedding where we planned and coordinated everything remotely until we arrived a week prior to the big day, Jase and Eclipse was very easy to work with and we would recommend him to everyone planning a wedding in Kona.

A huge thank you to jase of eclipse effect and his crew for our sounds, MC and lights at our wedding. Rachel and I had such a great time and from what we gathered, so did our guests. Jase was very easy to work with and even assisted us when we wanted to change a few details the day of at the reception. It was just a matter of bouncing off ideas and discussing what can work and Jase made it happen. Communication prior to the wedding as far as responses was always quick and he is nothing but professional. Working with Jase and Eclipse Effect Entertainment has been a stress free experience for me (us). Upon initial contact, when I was making inquiries about lighting packages & pricing, I was contacted promptly & Jase was so professional & has such a kind spirit. From that initial phone call & our talk, we knew we wanted to work with him. He promised & delivered. Emails & phone calls (if needed) came accordingly & he (Jase) made everything so easy for us. I now know it was us that was holding him back & having him send extra emails & phone calls (sorry Jase!). He even scheduled a phone conference and a meet and greet to get to know us, our wedding party and to finalize our timeline before the wedding. The day of our wedding, everything went smoothly. Everything we wanted was there & we had the wedding of our dreams. Eclipse provided our lighting, sounds for the ceremony, DJ music, dancing on the clouds, slide show equipment & of course MC services. We wouldn’t have wanted to work with anyone else! Jase was fabulous that night and so organized! We have known Jase for many years, Mark and I were so grateful to have eclipse effect entertainment as our MC, DJ and lighting. It made it much more special that they worked on our wedding. Jase was great from the beginning. He asked what I wanted and offered suggestions and improvements for the event (High School Reunion). He brought along a DJ and Emceed the event. He was great with people, we had some really fun games, and like all events, things didn't stick exactly with the timeline we planned (people showed up very late), but we were easily able to improvise and so many people gave me compliments about how fun and exciting the event was. Will definitely use Eclipse Effect Entertainment for my next event. Thanks again Jase!

Jase & his team went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable on our wedding day. He not only provided us with DJ & MC services he also helped us with the wedding day timeline & day of coordination. He truly made us more confident that our big day will run as smoothly as possible. We knew that as long as Jase was there everything will be ok and work out. He is very entertaining and upbeat. He worked well with our wedding planners in keeping everything on time. We were very pleased with the overall experience with Jase and his team. Jase really takes the time to get to know his clients and find out what matters most to them. The entire Eclipse Effect team really does whatever it takes and then some to please. From setup to finish, there was absolutely no stress or doubt about how quality our Wedding would be! Eclipse Effect has the best lights around in the business, and the look we wanted to achieve was a fun, but classy high end look at the reception. Not only was that achieved, but the complements from our guests were great validation that we made the right choice!
As mentioned, Jase gets to know his clients very well. This really showed when his DJ began to play! The music really matched our personalities and wasn't anything cheesy or annoying that you would expect from an amateur! Very professional and quality sound! Along with the awesome DJ was the very talented Emcee! Jase made the entire room feel very comfortable and apart of the night. Our guests couldn't stop complementing how he got people to enjoy themselves and have fun. Not just a typical Wedding Emcee!
We really appreciated his ability to know what things are appropriate to say and when sometimes it's better to let us just enjoy the moment without any Emcee talking.
If you are looking for the most professional, quality DJ, Lighting, and Emcee, Eclipse Effect is the ONLY choice!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the guys from Eclipse Effect Entertainment. I was tasked with creating a Dicso Night for a Volunteer Appreciation Party for about 60 people and let me say it would not have been the same with Jase and June!
They came through without a whole lot of notice and went above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined! The music was perfect, the lighting and up lighting MADE the party and they were fun and easy to work with. They even created a 'Studio 57' Gobo for us as a surprise to the event!
Jase was responsive and dependable which can make all the difference when trying to plan an event!
I highly recommend Eclipse Effect Entertainment and we will definitely be using them again in the future!

I can not say enough great things about Jase. He did an amazing job at our wedding. For a destination wedding, it can be hard to choose vendors. I had multiple phone calls and FaceTime calls with Jase leading up to the wedding so that we could "meet" each other and the. Once I got to the island, we actually got to meet with Jase in person and finalize all the details. He did everything to make me feel at ease and have confidence in him that my day would go off without a hitch! He went above and beyond going out of his way to meet with me before hand. When the day came, it was absolutely amazing. The up lighting he did looked amazing and he made sure the night went according to plan. The music was perfect! We had the perfect Hawaiian feel through dinner and then got in all the important dances after that. Once it was time for dancing, Jase made sure everyone got on their feet and had an amazing time! Thank you so much Jase! You did a wonderful job and I'm so glad we chose you to be our wedding DJ! I would recommend you to anyone in a heartbeat! Thank you!

Jase was super responsive to my last minute request for PA equipment for an event for my non-profit. He was punctual and professional and anticipated needs I didn't realize we had! For example, he offered to play recorded background music while the guests arrived and ate and before our speakers took to the mic. He tested the equipment, brought back up and remained as inconspicuous as possible. He did a fantastic job and I recommend him highly to provide and manage audio equipment for your event.

Jace is so easy and awesome to work with. Jase did an amazing job with our wedding! We couldn't have been more fortunate to have found him. From his professional and friendly manner from the initial meet, to the multiple edits and changes in our timeline- it all came down to how awesome he truly was the day of our wedding! After revisions and revisions, we ended up switching the WHOLE timeline on him and he just went with the flow, never got frustrated once and even helped us to what we should move around due to the amount of time we had for our photographer. Not only that, but the lighting was beautiful. He understood our theme and made sure the lights matched the whole venue.
The DJ was fantastic as well! Every song was on point to what we wanted and then he had our guests dancing ALL night long!! From beginning to end- Jase and Eclipse Effect Entertainment was absolutely perfect!!! Couldn't have asked for more. MAHALO NUI LOA!!!

Jase and his crew was awesome! We really wanted a reception that wasn't boring and one that stood out amongst the rest. We invisioned a traditionally untraditional wedding and reception. Instead of having all the boring stuff that normally happens at a reception, we wanted to incorporate some untraditional ways to do the same old traditional stuff and Jase had no problem accommodating our desires and even brought new ideas to help us.
In addition, we wanted all of our guests to have a fun time and Jase made it happen. Our reception was so much fun our friends and family are still talking about it, which is exactly what we wanted. He kept the crowd entertained all night long and fulfilled our wishes with all the games we wanted.
He also spent many hours putting together a custom song which was a blend of many songs. He was even able to put everything together with just days notice which made us extremely happy especially because this dance really surprised all our guests.
Jase also used uplighting to add a special touch and made Nani Mau look unrecognizable! We
loved the way he used the lights to set the mood. All of our guests were very impressed. Many of them have said, "we had so much fun, we never did anything like that at a wedding before" and "that was the best wedding yet." We could not have pulled it off without Jase and his crew.
We would definitely recommend him and he will be our go to guy for our next big party!

Our experience with Eclipse Effect Entertainment was beyond our expectations. My husband and I did not have a wedding planner and only had a month and a half to plan our destination wedding... Jason, DJ/MC, was very professional, flexible, and detail oriented. He took time to get to know our preferences and knew other wedding vendors and professionals that could help us prepare for the wedding. Jase and his team were so attentive to my needs on my wedding day. He made an extra trip to meet with me several days before the wedding at the venue to ease any worries I may have had. He let me choose songs prior to the wedding, which I loved doing! Also, day of guests were able to request songs which made it that much more interactive and engaging during our reception. My husband and I hired Eclipse Effect Entertainment for our wedding. We hired a MC for our wedding reception and DJ to provide music for our ceremony and reception. They made communication easy through email, since we were planning our Hawaii wedding from Colorado. When we returned to the Big Island of Hawaii, we were able to meet in person and discuss plans for our wedding. They were very organized, provided us with great service, and were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them for their services!

Jase and the DJ went above and beyond anything we could've expected. They were perfect and I'm so glad I was referred to Eclipse Effect. They were very professional and friendly throughout our event; from coordinating and planning until the end of our wedding night. They were able to keep our guests dancing until they had to pack up their equipment. The music flowed perfectly as songs transitioned from one another. Jase was extremely professional and easy going. Being that I was planning my wedding from out-of-state, I felt comfortable with selecting Eclipse Effect Entertainment as our DJ. Jase was very attentive to our needs and played our music selection. He was a great MC who kept the wedding reception flowing with our timeline. He also provided the special lighting effects that added to the AMAZING ambiance of our outdoor evening reception at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Jase Takeya of Eclipse Effect enhanced the mood of a "Romantic Asian" theme with the Bamboo & Cherry Blossom Gobo's. His lighting ingenuity, sound systems, music choices & emcee qualities was more than we expected. It was so breath-taking, that everyone who entered stopped in their tracks, amazed @ the transformation within these walls. The Bride & Groom (Chanel & Jacob) said it was way beyond their wildest dreams. Chanel says it was a "Fairy Tale" wedding. Would I use Jase again? Of course!! Most definitely!! Absolutely!!

I planned our wedding 6 months out and from the very start up until the morning of the wedding, Jase was extremely helpful, friendly and very knowledgable about planning a wedding. He helped create a detailed timeline from the start of the ceremony until the very last dance. Great personality and the guests really enjoyed his entertainment, set up & music. Jase and June did an awesome job at our wedding. I knew I could trust Jase from day one from the meetings, answering my questions, recommending ideas and down to getting my timeline in order as our wedding day had approach. I absolutely loved working with Jase! He did an amazing job before the wedding in helping us get things organized, thinking of ideas on how to make the day special and being there for us for anything we needed. He was very professional at all times and wanting to help and do anything we might need, he even gave suggestions when I couldnt find someone to make our cake. He also worked our venue to coordinate the details without getting us involved. Jase was amazing! He was always available and friendly throughout the planning process, and was just a joy to work with. On the day of the wedding he showed up with the perfect DJ, who knew just what to play and when to play it.
I was absolutely blown away by the company's level of professionalism. These guys know what they are doing! Jase kept the reception on schedule, brought in enough extra lighting to make the dance floor feel like a REAL party, and even facilitated a last minute dance-off between my guests.
Compared with other DJ and event companies on the island, the rate I paid was beyond reasonable for the level of service they provide! What a steal! And to get such a nice guy to deal with was definitely a bonus. I will use Eclipse Effect for my next big party as well.

We came from Australia to Hawaii to get married. The thought of organising our music was a huge stress, but I didn't think I could afford a DJ. Jason and his team made our wedding absolutely beautiful and memorable. It was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Jason is really professional and was always there for us when we need his help. He checked out the wedding venue and communicated with our wedding coordinator very well since it was a destination wedding for us. Jase is super down to earth! Loves to get in touch with his clients before the event in order to get everything ironed out. We had a meet and greet a couple days before my wedding which was definitely above and beyond the call of duty! Very good communication and very flexible. Has great ideas and isn't afraid to share them. He is not just a "yes" man and will tell you if an idea is good or bad. Would definitely refer Jase to my friends and family!

I was able to work coordinate my wedding from Alaska. They were willing to work with my parents, which would have caused confusion with two different ideas for most, but they took both ideas and blended them together perfectly.
