On the morning of my wedding, my original makeup artist (not from ECB) canceled due to having COVID. My coordinator posted on social media my need for a last minute artist and Norita from East Coast Bridal saved the day!! Not only did my makeup look gorgeous, it lasted the entire day and I got so many compliments! I literally ugly cried all day and my makeup didn’t get messed up at all. She was the sweetest! After the wedding I was waiting for my refund from my previous artist in order to pay ECB and they were so patient and understanding and didn’t hound me or ask when they’d be paid. I should have gone with Britney and her crew from the jump. Ambur, who works with ECB, also did my hair and knocked it out of the park!! Highly recommend East Coast Bridal!! -

Brittney, Ambur and Katy are magicians. They are highly skilled professionals who want to make sure you look and feel beautiful for your special day. I booked hair and makeup for myself, my mom and my girls for my wedding day. There were some adjustments that were requested after initial styles were completed and they handled it gracefully and professionally. Their energy was also EVERYTHING. Listen, hair and makeup is a huge part of your wedding day. You spend quite a few hours getting ready so you're spending all that time with your glam team. You want that good energy around! They definitely kept us laughing through the day. Brittney and her ladies were awesome. -

Brittney was amazing and really easy to work with! She made scheduling my bridal trial a breeze! My makeup the day-of was gorgeous and I got so many compliments!! She also did amazing with all of my bridesmaids and my mom as well!! Would definitely recommend!! -

Poor communication, lack of accountability, and unnecessary stress!
Unfortunately, my experience with Brittney and ECB was filled with poor communication, repeated scheduling issues, lack of accountability, and unnecessary stress leading up to our wedding.
Initially, I was told my hair and makeup trial would take place at the end of 2025, but it was pushed to March and ultimately rescheduled to April 2026 due to a family emergency on the owner’s side. We were notified a week or two before the new date, creating a major logistical challenge since we were traveling from out of town. We had coordinated hotel accommodations, venue walkthroughs, spray tans, and travel plans for both our planner and photographer. As a result of the last-minute change, our photographer could no longer attend, and our venue was unable to accommodate our final walkthrough.
The trial itself was another disappointment. I was told to expect a two-hour appointment, but it lasted nearly four and a half hours. Upon arrival, a significant amount of time was spent by Brittney preparing the workspace and cleaning brushes while we waited. Although I arrived with a spray tan, we discussed going a little darker for the actual wedding. However, I think Brittney took this as I wanted my makeup darker for the trial? My face/neck area did not match and honestly left me looking like I rolled in dirt. The final look was nothing like what I envisioned, and I felt worse about my appearance than when I arrived. I was reassured that adjustments could be made for the wedding day, so I followed up with a detailed email outlining my requested changes. That email went unanswered.
For hair, I had already paid for hair extensions through ECB, but they had allegedly been forgotten for my trial - she had blamed her virtual assistant Alexz saying she forgot to tell her. I was promised several options would be shipped the following week, but nothing arrived.
Over the next five weeks, I sent multiple follow-ups and received no response. My planner also attempted to contact the team by both phone and email regarding the makeup revisions, wedding-day schedule, artist assignments, and other important details. Those inquiries were also ignored.
An assistant responded and explained that she was unable to reach Brittney herself. Desperate for communication, I reached out through Instagram and finally received a response. 2 weeks before the wedding I was sent extensions purchased through Amazon that were pink despite my blonde hair color.
I ultimately had to pay my own hairstylist at home close to $200 to color-correct the extensions so they could match my hair.
Even as the wedding approached, we still had no finalized HMU timeline, no confirmation regarding makeup changes, and no confidence that everything would proceed smoothly. My planner asked whether another artist might be available if Brittney was not comfortable making the requested adjustments. Rather than addressing the concern professionally, Brittney contacted me privately and expressed discomfort about the suggestion and that she was unsettled by the message and has never felt so attacked in her 10 years in the industry.
When we finally spoke by phone, communication improved somewhat, and we felt cautiously optimistic about moving forward. However, much of the conversation consisted of explanations for the ongoing issues, including two different illnesses, moving, family emergencies, phone problems, emails being “lost”, text messages going to “spam”, and other personal circumstances. While emergencies happen, the repeated lack of communication and failure to provide timely updates became a pattern that was difficult to overlook.
Unfortunately, the problems continued on the wedding day. After weeks of anxiety, uncertainty, and nightmares that there would be an issue on wedding day - I woke up to a text message informing me that Brittney would be late due to yet another family emergency.
She arrived more than an hour behind schedule, throwing off our entire wedding timeline. The delay impacted photos, created unnecessary stress, and left everyone feeling rushed during what should have been a joyful experience. We missed out on video interviews, portraits, bridesmaid shots - all the fun things that make your wedding day with your closest friends and family fun.
Looking back, my biggest mistake was hiring Brittney. At the end of the day, we are grateful to be married and were able to enjoy our celebration despite the circumstances. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ECB. -
