We held our wedding ceremony and reception at East Bank Club on 10/19/19. From booking our date 13 months ago through the end of our wedding day, Amanda and her team were helpful and kind. The backdrop of the city was perfect for our ceremony. The food was phenomenal, we've received endless compliments from our guests that it's the best food they've had at a wedding.

The room was perfect for our 130 guests, plenty of room for dancing. My family enjoyed the patio for fresh air and a break from dancing. The day went off without a hitch and I have Amanda and East Bank Club to thank for that!

Yes, I know what you're thinking. This place is a fitness center, why would I have my fancy wedding here? Don't be deceived! There is a large banquet room and restaurant/bar area that make for an incredible wedding venue! East Bank Club was the first venue we visited, and we fell in love with it right away. We visited other venues afterwards but nothing measured up!! It is located in the center of the city along the river (think about all the amazing city scape pictures for your wedding party), the catering team was so accommodating and helpful, and the PRICE! The price is unbeatable for its location!

We worked directly with Sydney, who the is the absolute BEST! She answered my many, many emails very promptly and was so accommodating to all of our requests. We got open bar and spent less than $90 per guest with open bar, appetizer, and entree included. All of our guests RAVED about the food!! You will seriously not find this price anywhere else in the city! On the wedding day, I was blown away with how the venue looked! The venue literally had everything and offered a lot of supplies free of charge!! We got cupcakes for our guests, and East Bank Club provided a gorgeous silver cupcake stand for us. They also provided dozens of votive candles, cylindrical glass candles, and even threw in some uplighting all FREE OF CHARGE. They provided all the linens, chairs, tables. If you need anything for decorations, ask them first and they may actually have it so you can save some money! The staff is seriously the nicest, most down-to-earth people I have ever met through the whole venue hunting. They treat you like family and really want to make sure you have the best party of your life!

Sure, East Bank Club doesn't have super high ceilings with glamorous stair cases or extravagant chandeliers but honestly, if you're looking for a beautiful and affordable venue, THIS IS IT!

We held our wedding reception at East Bank Club in April 2016. We were delighted with how the afternoon/evening went and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reception venue in downtown Chicago. The space itself is very versatile and easily accommodated ~120 guests. We had cocktails in the Maxwells bar area, dinner in the Riverview room and then band/dancefloor also in the Riverview as well as bars in the Board room and Maxwells. We also had the river terrace open all evening with patio heaters. Sydney and the catering team were very easy to work with, were very professional and responsive to questions or queries during the planning of the reception. They also helped us organize onsite childcare for guests to use during the reception at their on-site childcare center. They were also very accommodating with setting up the Riverview room room set-up and worked very easily with external vendors (e.g. cake, band) with no problems at all. On the day the food was consistently excellent (beef tenderloin medallions were cooked to perfection) and the staff, in particular Monica who was in charge on the night, were brilliant, very helpful and courteous to our guests. Lastly EBC provided excellent value for money. We are very pleased to have picked EBC as our venue and would definitely do so again.

I highly recommend the East Bank Club for a wedding reception or other event venue. I could not find anything even close to it for the price and the location. The minimum for a Saturday night is much lower than hotels and restaurants nearby. The pricing for dinner, open bar, hors d'ouevres was the best value I could find. I worked with Sydney Schwartz, Director of Catering, who was extremely professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. The service and staff were excellent. They handled the set up of the room, place cards, etc. flawlessly. The banquet room (Riverview Room) has a nice ambiance. The room opens out onto a two-level terrace on the river. The food was so delicious. Coat check is complimentary. We hosted parking for $4 per car - unbeatable downtown. I don't know how EBC is not booked for a wedding every Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

My wedding shower was hosted at the East Bank Club, and we had an amazing experience! They were extremely flexible and accommodating when it came to the planning process. The room was absolutely beautiful, especially with the waterfront terrace. We were allowed us to come in early and decorate the room as needed. The food was wonderful and reasonable, and the staff even helped with loading the gifts up after the shower! I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and staff.

Joe Crawford, the catering manager was amazing. He made the wedding planning process so easy. The room was simple, but flawless and gorgeous. We had a private terrace on the river with a bar and appetizers and beautiful fire lamps. The food tasted great and the staff was so attentive. It was an intimate and perfect venue and they treated us like royalty. Truly a hidden gem in Chicago! Also very affordable!

We loved the character of this spot and the price was better than a lot of other venues in the area!
