There are no words to describe our experience at the Eagle Mountain House! Linda Boyer is heaven sent and amazing at what she does. The entire staff at the hotel was awesome!! The hotel has a fanatic back story and makes the perfect backdrop for a rustic NH wedding!!

    Wedding of our dreams

Dreams do come true, and they happen at Eagle Mountain. Eagle Mountain Hotel did not only deliver what we’d hoped for, they went above and beyond it. The charm that saturates the building is something only 140+ years of care and service can bestow. Recognized as a Historic Hotel of America, the hotel has stayed true to it’s original feel and aesthetic while modernizing the amenities. The overall ambience from the rooms, to the lobby and restaurant was palpable when we first dropped in. Little did we know just how much it grows as the leaves bud and rocking chairs hit the front porch!
Our goal was to find an outdoor venue that we felt our family and friends would enjoy visiting for a weekend away regardless of our actual wedding. Of all the places we visited (and even more viewed online, i.e. LOTS), Eagle was far and away the best. Nestled in Carter Notch of the White Mountains, one could happily relax the day away on the hotel grounds admiring the views and hotel amenities. However for more activity, the golf course is just across the street and the vast network of hiking trails are directly out the backdoor and down the road. Floating down the Saco River or shopping and dining in North Conway, the area offers something for everyone and Eagle is perfectly positioned for all of it. We have spent years travelling to and through North Conway, but you don’t need any practice to untap the endless possibilities all around.
The rockstar of the organization and captain of our main event was none other than Linda Boyer. If we saw Eagle as a possibility just based on ambience, it only took a few minutes speaking to Linda for that possibility to seem much more realistic. Calm, cool and collected, my husband and I both knew instantly that Linda was the person we wanted on our dream team. Her time and experience with the hotel were abundantly clear, she rattled off her favorite vendors to work with and why without batting an eye and we believed her when she assured us our vision could be delivered. Her confidence is inspiring and her capacity to multitask and keep open lines of communication from start to finish were legendary. She secured a vendor we could not get a response from at the first ask, and we had even travelled to the business to speak to someone in person! On a weekend with as many moving parts as a wedding, you need an ace to call the shots and Linda is that ace!
We had our ceremony on the landing above the gold course, cocktail hour on the veranda and reception in the big tent and it fit our needs perfectly. The drink selection was proper and every bit of food we tried and ultimately chose was delicious. I never thought people would be raving about dinner long afterwards, but 2 weeks later and I still hear stellar reviews. The short rib is one of the best I have ever had, period.
Everything went off without a hitch, and it could not have been so without Linda and her team. If the timing was thrown off for one thing, it was adjusted for moving onto the next so seamlessly one might have thought it was purposefully intended that way. Always available for support, advice or a glass of champagne, Linda and Stefania both were all-stars and we are forever in their debt for the memories they helped us create. Since the wedding I have tried to imagine what it would have been like at any other venue and I can’t do it. There is nothing we would change about our entire weekend and we can’t wait to go back to celebrate our anniversary at EMH!

Incredible doesn't even begin to cover it

Eagle Mountain House (EMH) will be the best first decision you make in planning your wedding. If you are planning a wedding in the White Mountains, EMH is in my opinion, the premier venue in Jackson. My family has been vacationing in the White Mountains for 20+ years, and having our wedding at EMH felt like having it at home, and that is in no small part thanks Linda and her team. Linda goes above and beyond to make sure your day is everything you could hope for. She is responsive, creative and is at the top of her profession. Linda genuinely cares and will be with you from the moment you do a site visit, to the entire day of your wedding and being there to send you off. I already miss working with her.

The venue itself is stunning, from the ceremony site that overlooks the river and mountains, to the veranda to the tent. Linda suggested an after party bonfire, which if you have the right group, is the perfect end to the evening. Even though it’s a busy hotel, you feel a sense of intimacy and privacy during the entire day. EMH is a quintessential New England mountain hotel that has been lovingly cared for exudes charm and warmth.

I don’t know how Chef Ryan and her team managed to produce so many perfectly cooked filets at the same time, but it’s a marvel. We had several vegans in our family and Chef Ryan created a stunning dish for them in addition to the other plated meals. My new father in law commented that the short ribs “could have been at any 4 start restaurant in the world.” I still want her to bottle and sell her sauces and dressings, I have not given up hope and will be first in line if she ever does it!

If you want a fun, romantic mountain wedding, EMH is for you. Thank you Linda and team for making our rather electrifying wedding so wonderful.

    The best day ever

We got married at Eagle Mountain House & Golf Club in Jackson, NH on July 11, 2020. It is a must. We randomly came across this venue and it was the best decision we made! Not only is it in the prettiest location in the white mountains, but the staff is incredible. The wedding coordinator Linda and her assistant Courtney made our experience and day incredible. I can't speak enough great things. Being a covid bride isn't easy, but they helped to make us feel safe and comfortable. They catered to everything and were so kind and thoughtful. Any time I emailed or called, they were there to help me and my now husband out. They made our day perfect. And we had rain and rain and more rain. But we wouldn't have changed a thing. If you have individual questions let me know, but I'm telling you... We give them a million stars!!! What a team and what a place!

Best NH Destination weekend Wedding venue!

I can't say enough good things about Linda and Stefania and the Eagle Mountain House. If you're looking for a venue with all services on site, with folks who really care about making your day as special as can be and will go above and beyond to see that that happens, with fantastic out door views - this is a perfect location! When looking in the summer of 2018, my husband and I really wanted a location where we could have an outdoor ceremony. We fell in love with the Eagle Mountain House, and were really impressed that they had multiple back-ups options for ceremony location in the event of unpredictable weather. They really are very experienced at this and had lots of great recommendations to help us in the planning process.

We had our rehearsal dinner on site, and it was fantastic! Linda did a great job with decorating and creating a fun Tex Mex theme, and then people were able to gather in the bar and use the playroom for some games of pool so we didn't feel like it was just dinner then leave. We were able to make a NH destination wedding out of it Friday through Sunday, ending with seeing everyone at breakfast on Sunday to say final good byes. We got married over a month ago, and folks are still raving about how much fun they had. A huge additional selling point for us was that we could use the fire pit after the reception. We love NH and love being outside, and it was a great way to wind down Saturday night after the festivities. It was a huge hit!

Eagle Mountain House was the perfect location for our wedding. We had loads of compliments from the guests on the wedding site (3rd tee of the golf course) and the food (it was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding)! As the couple, we couldn’t have asked for a more supportive and helpful team. We were planning our wedding from Ohio, and Linda and her team listened to our ideas, and helped us in every way to minimize what we needed to drive to NH with. Linda also did some extra decoration on top of what we had planned, and it created such a wonderful (and prettier) setting than we could have expected.

Our daughters wedding was this weekend in the Carriage House and everything was perfect. I recommend the Eagle Mountain House to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue in the White Mountains. The staff is extremely professional. Linda and Stefania made everything seamless including some last minute changes. Our bartender, Artie, kept the line at the bar quick. The food was great. The wait staff is very accommodating. I honestly have no complaints. Our guests told me this wedding was one of the best they have ever attended. I also reccomend Autumn Nomad in Jackson for the wedding cake. My daughter chose a few flavors, chocolate caramel and funfetti. Both were wonderful. I am very thankful my daughter chose Eagle Mountain.

From the moment that we started to look for wedding venues in northern New Hampshire, Linda Boyer at the Eagle Mountain House was by far the most responsive. We were able to set up an appointment to tour the venue that weekend. As soon as we drove up to the Eagle Mountain House, we knew that the charming setting would be perfect for our winter wedding. Right from the start, Linda was incredibly accommodating, flexible, and professional. Her down to earth nature helped us navigate the logistics of planning a wedding with ease. Throughout the planning months, Linda consistently communicated in a timely manner. When the wedding weekend came, Linda, Craig, Russell, and the staff at The Eagle Mountain House worked to make sure that our day was perfect. The staff was attentive to our needs and treated us like we were their number one priority. Our wedding was beyond what we imagined, and we have Linda Boyer and the amazing staff at the Eagle Mountain House to thank!

After some changes at Eagle Mountain and we found out that Linda (and Brittany) were our contacts and "go-to" people for our wedding, there was a huge huge sigh of relief for us. Linda was absolutely amazing, I could tell from the minute I met her that we were in good hands, she knew what she was doing and she was going to make sure all of our dreams were going to come true. Leading up to our September wedding (a little over a year of planning)- Linda and Brittany were great at checking in with us making sure we didn't have any questions and always there to give their opinions based on their experiences. When the wedding got closer and things a tad more crazy they were both there for whatever and anything we needed. I really can't say enough of how amazing they were to work with, and I will always say how fortunate we were to have Linda and Brittany join Eagle Mountain when they did. Linda made sure we went over every minute of the wedding numerous times to make sure that we were happy with everything.
The weekend of the wedding was nothing short of amazing, everything ran so smoothly. Linda and I were so in tune the day before and the day of, it was so comforting to have her there, the entire time, literally the entire. Our guests still talk about how amazing the venue was (their favorite being the porch!), how amazing the food was (so so good!) and the hotel as a whole! Planning a wedding can be stressful and overwhelming at times and with Linda and Brittany we had an absolute blast. I would do it all over again tomorrow if I could. Everything was so perfect, we can't thank them enough for all their hard work, including the entire staff at Eagle Mountain, too! If you love beautiful, antique-feel, historic hotel in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire consider Eagle Mountain, it will not disappoint!

My son was married at eagle mountain house in Jackson, NH September 16, 2017. Even though we are local in the area, I did not know what to expect for this beautiful Hotel, in a small country town hosting 200 (-+) people... well, we were in awe in the Professionalism of the entire staff, from the housekeeping to the General Manager... everyone was accomdating to all our needs... there was this powerhouse employee we need to have a shoutout for.. this person is Linda Boyer (The Wedding Coordinator, extraodinair) she did anything & everything to make our weekend perfect...

We highly recommend Linda Boyer & the Eagle Mountain House for an awesome venue for your wedding, anniversary, retirement party, birthday parties or any gathering to celebrate with the ones you love, because Linda will be sure your day, evening or weekend is perfect. THANK YOU LINDA for making our wedding weekend as special as it was.

Planning a wedding from across the country would not have been so enjoyable if it weren't for Kathleen's responsiveness and flexibility. We loved the scenery and charm of the venue as did our guests. The maintenance staff was helpful with decorating and the servers were all very pleasant, especially our bartender. Also, the food was excellent for our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. We even asked for some recipes! Each morning the breakfast buffet was delicious and our guests joined us to eat and chat in a private room, which really extended our time with people. The third tee was a beautiful spot to get married and we will never forget it! We hope to be back for anniversaries and family vacations in the future. Thank you EMH!

We invited our family and friends up for a two-day event that included a welcome reception/BBQ (rather than a formal rehearsal dinner) on Friday, then the wedding and reception on Saturday. Many guest commented on how lovely the ceremony site was (3rd tee) and that the cocktail hour on the veranda was awesome as well. The level of detail from Kathleen and her staff shined throughout... each little "extra" that I had planned for was handled by staff and I didn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day. The chef was completely accommodating to dietary restrictions for our menu (everything was gluten free so I could try a little bit of everything!) and it was all delicious. the day went off with out a hitch and we couldn't have asked for anything better.

We had our rehearsal dinner there, 30 people, on Friday 8/1/14. It was great! We did a low key BBQ buffet with burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, pasta salad, regular salad, watermelon, cookies and lemonade. It was fantastic! Almost all the guests went up for seconds! Everyone kept telling me how perfect our wedding weekend was, how beautiful the venue was and that it was so great to spend the weekend with family and friends like this. Our wedding was so wonderful, and it was due in large part to the Eagle Mountain House. To walk into the beautiful lobby and see family and friends, I couldn't have wished for more on my wedding. The staff at the EMH were so friendly and helpful - we got to know some of them over the course of the weekend. The third tee was gorgeous for our ceremony, and the veranda for cocktail hour was lovely. We were able to do a lot of our own decorating in the Carriage House, which really added to our custom event. The new Chef in the kitchen created some wonderful food for us. Their breakfast buffet is so delicious! If you are looking for unique, rustic, comfortable and beautiful venue for your wedding, talk with Kathleen and her team at the Eagle Mountain House. They helped to create the most memorable event!

We used Eagle Mountain House as a secondary hotel for our out of town guests. Everyone who stayed there said what a lovely experience they had. The building is beautiful and there are plenty of dining/bar options on site. The front desk staff were super accommodating and helped us distribute welcome bags to each guest! Everyone loved their stay at Eagle Mountain House!

If you love the White Mountains and want to make it a central part of your wedding, Eagle Mountain House is the place to have your ceremony and reception. My husband and I live in Mass, but met through skiing at Attitash and felt it important to have our ceremony in this area. We fell in love with Eagle Mountain House the second we walked through the hotel lobby. Once we saw the stunning ceremony site on the Wedding Tee, we knew this was the place for us. After meeting with Sandy Louis, the wedding manager at Eagle Mountain House, it was a done deal. We absolutely knew we wanted to get married at the most beautiful location in Jackson and be able to work with a great staff, headed up by Sandy, one of the most organized and thorough people I have met. We chose the Classic Wedding package. While the cost per person may initially seem high when pricing out venues, given all the price per person incorporates (JP, set up fees, all food, three different beautiful venues to move people around to, liquor for cocktail hour, wine with dinner, wedding cake, and the exceptional staff) we thought it was a great value for such a special place. Our guests absolutely loved the hotel with its huge wrap around porch full of rocking chairs, a 9 hole golf course right across the street and easy access to activities such as hiking and shopping. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather for our wedding day, but I have no doubt Sandy would still have made the wedding feel special if we had to change things up due to weather. We loved having our wedding here and we have received many comments from our guests since about what a great place we chose.

Sandy and the Eagle Mountain House Staff were WONDERFUL! Nothing short of AMAZING! My wedding went off without a hitch, our guest feel in love with the hotel and I am sure many will be back on their own. Sandy helped me plan every aspect of the wedding and talked me off a few ledges, for that I am forever in her debt. The staff made sure we had everything we needed even before we knew we needed it. The service, the price and the whole over all experience was absolutely amazing, thank you to you all!

    Amazing Wedding Venue

We are so thankful to have had our wedding at The Eagle Mountain House. The staff and Linda was so warm and welcoming, always willing to help in any way to ensure we had the perfect day! This venue is located in an extremely beautiful destination and the food was out of this world! We received so many compliments from our guests!

My husband and I are so happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Eagle Mountain House. All of the staff during our wedding weekend were so nice and helpful. The food was fantastic, as was the service on the day of the wedding! I was so pleased with how everything came out as far as set up. An all around A+ from us!!

The Eagle Mountain House is a great place to have a wedding! I would highly recommend it ... it was everything we hoped for.
Planning Process: Working with Kathleen leading up to the day was great and she was helpful in making sure all the details were checked off and ready for the day.
The Day: The staff was very professional and helped make everything run super smoothly. Some venues have a true go-to wedding "planner" or go-to for the day but this is the one thing EMH does not have. Everything worked out great for us (our officiant, jp and florist really help bridge this gap) but this is something to be aware of if you're planning on leaning heavily on them.
The Tent: Is awesome! They have recently redone the floors and the stairs down to the tent which all look great. The view off the back of the tent is so beautiful and we were fortunate to have nice enough weather to be able to keep the sides of the tent open the whole night. Please note, though, we did not buy or do any additional lighting/uplighting and the amount the main lights dimmed was still a little brighter than we had wanted during the dance party portion of the night. Not a huge deal but if this is important to you I'd plan to rent some uplighting so you can turn the main lights off or only leave one string on.
The Hotel: The guests loved the hotel and also having breakfast included (great to not have to pay for or plan a breakfast for Sunday!). Since there are a lot of events that go through the hotel please be sure you've included the number of rooms you need based on your guest count in your wedding contract. I was a little conservative in our contract thinking we could add more if they started running out – and when they did everything else in the hotel was booked. Luckily some came open and everyone was accommodated but please plan accordingly!
All in all it was an amazing day and am so happy we chose Eagle Mountain House as our wedding venue!!

I was married at the Eagle Mtn House on 5/20/17 and we booked our wedding back in March of 2016, so our planning process involved the many management changes. I have to admit that with each new coordinator I became more and more nervous as details weren't being conveyed. But once we met with Linda in January we felt 100% confident our wedding day would be perfect! I am an event planner myself and in one meeting I instantly knew that Linda was experienced, kind, organized and most importantly cared about the success of our wedding day. She - and her assistant Brittany - put up with my seemingly endless emails and pdfs with smiles and even pushed the completion date of the porch renovation up so our guests could rock on the porch. Brittany helped bring older guests down to the ceremony space via golf cart and to the carriage house. Honestly, all of the staff were so kind and courteous to all of our guests. I am still having guests remind me how much fun and easy the day was. The food was amazing (Ryan the chef is the best!) and when my cake baker arrived with a bit of a melted cake, the staff went into overdrive to help her fix it. Even the catering captain made sure everything looked perfect. I felt like I was working with a well-oiled and professional team who not just took my ideas, but also gave me excellent suggestions. Even the desk manager that weekend - Katie - went out of her way to make myself and our guests comfortable. The hotel is such a beautiful and historical place and may need some updating down the road, but it is clean and comfortable and all of our guests raved about the location. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding experience. I feel terrible that some people may have experienced the disorganized staff from late 2016, but the new crew is one of the most professional event teams I have had the pleasure of working with in my career. I wish I could take them to every wedding that I do!

The wedding reception was as good as it gets!

The day of activity and reception was truly amazing. Linda and Stefania did an amazing job with set-up and decorations! Getting to that day had several bumps in the road. Planning the ceremony, reception, decorations, etc was straight forward and decisions were made in a timely manner. The only downside was trying to book hotel rooms for ourselves and the guests. So much so, that several guests gave up and stayed at other nearby hotels. Those that did stay here had lovely rooms and the bridal suite is amazing!

We fell in love with the ambiance of The Eagle Mountain House three years ago. The hotel is inviting and picturesque. The hotel wedding packages include a wedding coordinator in the price of the event. Being from Massachusetts, correspondence was by email and phone calls for over a year. We had a small wedding (60 guests); we did not purchase a package but a la carte options to fit our specific needs. The venue was beautiful, married on the third tee with a cocktail reception on the hotel veranda. Our reception was in the Carriage House. Service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the venue was warm and inviting. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

    Plan your wedding elsewhere

Our son and his fiancée planned their wedding and reception at the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson, NH over the 2024 Columbus Day weekend. Several of us arrived on Thursday night in anticipation of a beautiful wedding on a peak foliage weekend in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Our room was dated, paint peeling off the walls in several areas, no refrigerator (though you could rent a small one for $20/night). No big deal…its an old structure with other somewhat charming features…and we were eagerly anticipating a family wedding. A new building across the parking lot from the hotel called the Carriage House hosted the Friday evening rehearsal dinner that was very nice.
On Saturday morning, wind gusts blew a tree across the power line that feeds the resort at about 6 am. Guests woke up to no power, no running water, and dark hallways and stairwells. Everyone was anticipating that the power would be restored sometime soon…it was not restored until 18 hours later! Come to find out, the well pump that supplies water to the resort facilities does not include a backup power generator. The main kitchen and the new Carriage House kitchen do not have backup power either…so no food preparation can occur during a power outage and food spoilage is in play because refrigerators and freezers are powerless. How unbelievably short-sighted!
Guests had to navigate their way through dark hallways and up/down dark stairwells because there was no emergency lighting… a clear safety code issue/violation. Guests had but one flush to dispose of personal waste. Within a few hours the entire resort began to smell like urine and feces due to the unsanitary condition of having no running water.
We started to become very concerned about the resort having the ability to host a wedding and reception later in the day. Our son and future daughter-in-law were in a panic thinking about all of the guest already at the resort and the many more traveling to attend the wedding later that day. The resort wedding planner, Linda, assured us that she was working on a backup plan (why wasn’t there one already in place for this scenario?) but stated that she was not hopeful of finding a backup location to host the reception because this was “the busiest weekend of the year”. Linda suggested we move the wedding and reception to Sunday…a ridiculous idea that we declined for a myriad of obvious logistical reasons. By late afternoon, everyone associated with the wedding were in full panic mode as the resort staff simply shrugged their shoulders and said they were unable to do anything to solve the problem.
Our oldest daughter, with 6+ years as a wedding and event planner, came to the rescue. After several frustrating conversations with Linda, she took matters into to her own hands and found a nearby location to host the reception…a place Linda had told her she had contacted earlier and said was unavailable! Our daughter saved the day. The wedding and reception happened. It would not have if Eagle Mountain House was left “in charge”. Unfortunately, due to the busy weekend, no other hotels had rooms for our guests following the reception…wedding guests had to drive several hours home after a very long and stressful day.
If you plan to stay at Eagle Mountain House, make sure you read all of the reviews before booking. It’s an old run-down facility in dire need of upgrades…not just for aesthetics, but for safety and reliability in case of power loss. Joel Bourassa, the resort general manager, refused to reimburse our son and daughter-in-law for resort reception services not rendered as a result of the power failure. The resort does not care about you, your safety, or your wedding guests…buyer beware!

    Do not get married here!

I have never in my life attended an event so bad it left people in tears! I am incredibly disappointed with the experience my brother and his wife had at Eagle Mountain House for their wedding. A power outage occurred on the day of the event, and shockingly, there was no backup generator, even with a new building supposedly designed for inclement weather.

The situation was made worse by the complete lack of emergency lighting and communication from the wedding coordinator. Guests were left in the dark—literally and figuratively—without any guidance or information about what was happening. Families had to scramble to find alternative venues for the reception, while the hotel staff showed a disturbing lack of compassion and support.

To top it off, there was no apology to the bride and groom and no offer of compensation for the chaos and disappointment. This experience overshadowed what should have been a joyous occasion, and I cannot recommend this venue for any important events.

    Couples beware

    COUPLES BEWARE!
I have never experienced anything so horrifying like the events that played out on 10/12/24. The hotel lost power at 6am. Reception tent was damaged due to wind so we needed to move it inside. Come to find out, EMH doesn’t have a generator or backup water supply for their Carriage House OR hotel. Wedding party scrambled to find a place to shower and do hair/makeup, thankfully the Salon was local and they had power so we went there. The wedding coordinator, Linda, was MIA the entire morning. No communication with the bride or groom about what was at stake or how it was being handled. I (sister of the groom) had to take matters into my own hands when Linda informed me that EMH was going to cancel the reception if power didn’t come on by 3pm. Linda claimed to have called all around for backup reception spots but didn’t have any luck. Fortunately, within 45 min, I found a backup spot down the street with the help of family and friends. If it wasn’t for this village, there wouldn’t have been a reception. Meanwhile, other guests arriving at the hotel throughout the day (after flying in or driving 1-5 hours) found out at check in that there was no power, no water and they couldn’t stay at the hotel. It is now 16 days later and the GM, Joel Bourassa, has done nothing but undermine the circumstances. He has no compassion for our situation and is refusing to reimburse us for the tent, firepit and honeymoon suite deposits. He said verbatim that he is “not going to discuss this matter any further” with me. He’s taken no accountability for the negligence of his hotel. The breach of contract alone in regard to their Force Majeure is infuriating. It does not specifically state power outages which implies that the facility is prepared with a backup solution to electricity and running water. The clause also states “under the agreement, such party may cancel the agreement without liability upon written notice to the other party.” Neither the bride or groom (signers of the contract) were personally informed of the reception cancellation, or any details for that matter. The deficiency in lighting alone was a violation of New Hampshire's Code Admin. R. Lab 1403.20 as well as The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101, Life Safety Code. The hallways, exits and wayfinding signage were not illuminated throughout the day. Elder guests had to be escorted to the main level in order to see. Guests were using phone flashlights to find stairwells and rooms. Guests were unable to safely get from one room to the next, flush toilets, shower or wash hands. Having a generator and backup water supply in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is critical. I imagine if Joel responds to this review it will be along the lines of “the power outage was out of our control, the wedding was a success, and the staff did everything they could.” Wrong. Our friends and family stepped up. Joel has not trained his staff to handle crises or handle anything in a hospitable manner. Staff rolled their eyes in response to our concerns and seemed to have very little respect for us and upper management based on their comments that day. EMH wants your money, they do not care about you or your event. They cut corners, hide in crisis and completely disregard guest concerns. PLEASE, for your sake, safety and sanity, book your wedding elsewhere. *If you have already booked with EMH, I strongly encourage you to amend your contract for the security of your event and financial investment.

Beware - stay away at all costs

    Unsanitary, unsafe, unwelcoming.

Those are the words that describe the experience you get when you stay at this "historic" hotel.

The management of the hotel should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for how they conduct business.

Their lack of emergency preparedness is evident. They have 0 electricity and 0 water backup solutions if the power goes out. How can a hotel in service operate for over 100 years in Jackson of all places without having proper backup utilities if the power goes out? It's unbelievable, and should be unacceptable by the State of New Hampshire. They are truly con artists of the hospitality industry.

They rely upon hope instead of being people of action. All they care about is not losing money or having their reputation being negatively impacted rather than caring about their guests. Not a single employee made an effort to inform or call guests to make them aware of the no-power situation either, myself included. Fortunately I found out when I arrived at 9AM, however, as they're kicking everyone out of the hotel at 4PM because they were forced to shut down, new guests arrived to find out the nightmare situation they walked into.

As you can tell from Maranda's, Mandy's, and other reviews like theirs, the owner/staff have no acceptable, real, or valid response to the underlying safety and sanitary issues. If your phones are off the hook - use your cell phone. It's the absolute least they could do, because they did absolutely nothing at all.

If you wish to be treated like a leper from 2000 years ago - whether through the service or amenities, this place is for you.

To the owner reading this - don't respond to me. I don't have enough time or crayons to deal with you, and you won't get a second chance from me, or a first chance from everyone else I tell about your hotel. Instead of taking the time to respond to my review, use it to start fixing the actual problems people are telling you about.

    Wedding ruined

DO NOT waste your time or money with this hotel. They ruined our wedding day and were completely unprofessional and incompetent throughout our experience. The hotel lost power the day of our wedding and they had absolutely no way to restore it that day. How does a hotel in the White Mountains not have any sort of backup power? The staff was rude to our guests throughout the whole ordeal and communication from the hotel to us (the bride and groom) and our guests was virtually non existent. Linda Boyer is a poor communicator and planner. Save yourself the frustration and find anywhere else for your big day.

DO NOT USE THIS VENUE!! Eagle Mountain House ruined our wedding day and our engagement experience. They were unprofessional and incompetent. BEWARE! Kathleen has left working here but she lied abut the tent holding 200 people or being weather proofed, making our day overcrowded and stressful. Kathleen didn't document simple information so when she abruptly left and we had our 2nd coordinator, we had to start all over. Due to changes in management again our 2nd coordinator left too! Our 3rd coordinator (current coordinator- Emilie L. ) wouldn't reach out to us until we contacted higher management. At a month away from our wedding there was only a date planned and venue did not seem to put in effort or help. I had made great attempts to get the information that was needed, making schedules and diagrams, but basic scheduling and details were still incorrect until an hour before the reception! I was scrambling to do the job that staff should have. . I did not have a chance to enjoy my day because I had to do the work that other's could not. Worst of all was the hard labor that our guests had to do because the staff were inept. Guests were shocked and worried about the staff who looked confused and overwhelmed and had to help do their job, working for hours while they should have been celebrating with us. At the end of the night our guests noticed that staff were throwing away our items or being reckless. Guests stepped in to salvage the items we had spent months paying for and creating. Staff were late to set up events, and guests walked into event spaces with storage containers and no chairs. No only did Emilie not do her job, guests saw her have a “breakdown” and “freak out” at cocktail hour making guests feel uncomfortable. They lost flowers for the cake, lost our favors for the children, and did not fill the adult favors (matches), wasting the time, effort and money put in and guests with no favors! Outsiders attempted to steal our wedding money without staff bein
