    Perfect Venue

This was the perfect venue for the barn wedding we wanted. The owners were very responsive to our communications and helped us with securing a few of the vendors we needed. Perhaps the most enchanting aspect of this venue is that each bride leaves a little something from their wedding for the next bride to use if they want. These little treasures are stored in the barn and are accessible for each new bride to incorporate into their wedding. Another wonderful aspect is that we had the venue for the entire weekend, from Friday until Monday, which meant we didn’t have to rush to get the barn decorated and then rush to take it all down. This definitely made the whole experience less stressful and allowed us to really achieve the exact look and feel we wanted. The Manor house is also fabulous and was perfect for housing our whole wedding party. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and provide the perfect backdrop for gorgeous wedding photos. We enjoyed this property so much we are hoping to rent the place again for a weekend reunion with our friends.

The ONLY way to do a wedding weekend

My wedding experience with Eagle Manor was everything i could have ever hoped for and more. The property is absolutely stunning. I think the most asked question of our wedding was, "OMG this place is amazing! How did you find it?!" Chuck and his staff are very helpful and easygoing. I can't wait to see our photos as it is impossible to take a bad photo in such a gorgeous place. Also, it was really nice to be able to have the property all weekend, versus the single day that you typically get from a wedding. It made the morning of so much more relaxing and allowed for a really nice "decompression day" afterwards.

I do reccommend two things to brides booking here:
1- if the budget allows, hire someone to set up and clean up. The place is WAY too pretty to waste time with your head stuck in a box of decorations.
2- visit a few weeks ahead of your event. This one is two-fold. You can check out what other brides left behind and see what you might want to use. Also while you are there, bring the list of guests that will stay at the house with you and figure out who gets what room based on bed size, fans/ac, bathrooms, etc. Otherwise when your houseguests arrive, they run around like children in a candy shop (understandable given that the house is stunning), staking claim to their favorite rooms, and grandmom in a walker is left with a third floor bed.

Seriously though, go see this place. It might be a long trip, but you definitely won't regret it.

Chuck, owner of Eagle Manor, is a pleasure to work with. He is always very professional, eager to help in any way, and communicative. He works on the property, not just manages it--often doing lots of maintenance himself which shows how much he cares about Eagle Manor.

The grounds are beautiful, and to describe it pales in comparison--you just have to visit and experience it yourself. It is very peaceful out there, and the view from the back lawn of the manor is breathtaking. Stay for a sunset, too--the colors in the sky above the Cohansey River are worth it. The manor interior is also nice, very spacious and was enough room for all of our wedding party to stay with us! I much preferred it to staying at a hotel!

Our wedding at Eagle Manor was perfect, we wanted a blank canvas with which to work with, and we were able to come up with our own decor and reception ideas, as well as find our own caterer because currently Eagle Manor does not work exclusively with any vendor. To add to that: For those of you who are less of the DIY type, Eagle Manor can provide recommendations on who would be good to work with regarding vendors!

Overall, our stay at Eagle Manor on our wedding weekend was memorable and we hope to visit the area on our anniversaries!

    Weekend Long Wedding Celebration

When looking for wedding venues, we really struggled with spending so much money for only one night. Then we found Eagle Manor! From just viewing the pictures online, we loved this place! We took a tour of the place and knew this is where we wanted to have our reception. We really loved the fact that Eagle Manor offered a house to stay in for our family and wedding party. We were able to continue celebrating all weekend long and even had our rehearsal dinner at the house the night before. The house alone was gorgeous! It offered 10 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, and a BEAUTIFUL view of the river. For our wedding reception, we had our cocktail hour on the lawn near the river. It was an unusually cold night for November and our guests froze... oops! But after cocktail hour we continued the reception in the barn. When we visited the first time, I was really opposed to the barn. I couldn't picture my dream wedding in there. It was too rustic for me. But after pricing out tents and tent heater rentals, the barn was perfect! :) And the barn ended up being so beautiful the night of our wedding. With all the flowers and decorations, it really came out more beautiful than I expected. We really enjoyed our wedding at Eagle Manor and were very pleased with everything. Just some things to think about when you are thinking of this for your venue.... You need to rent EVERYTHING. Like spoons, tables, napkins, cups, everything!! The heaters ended up being so much money and were a big part of our wedding budget. UGH! The pro to this is that you get to design and plan how you want you wedding to look down to the fork! :) The cons were the added up prices and working with lots of other vendors besides just the venue. Is it worth it? YES!!! We had so much fun celebrating all weekend! But just consider all the prices that go into this venue.

    Eagle Manor's reply:

    Melissa,
Thanks for the kind words. For prospective guests, we now have all-inclusive packages where everything is managed for you, or you can continue to do-it-yourself if desired. Congratulations!
    Regards,
    -Chuck

    Great weekend here

Such a unique venue and so much fun for us and our guests the entire weekend!! Ron the caretaker was so helpful and accommodating to us. The view on the water can’t be beat, especially in the fall.

Horrible Experience if you have children

I just went to an event last night there Sept. 2022 and ended up having to file a police report because they had an employee physically assault my child and when I brought it to the managers attention that her employee is grabbing and yelling at children, she responded by saying she did not know what happened and did not even apologize or remove the employee we ended up leaving along with all the other guests. I just followed up with a police report because I am concerned for other guests and their children around this man.

    No Show from Vendor!

I scheduled a time to meet with this vendor and tour this venue. No one showed up so the groundskeeper showed us around. I came all the way from Maryland to see this place and left with no information besides what the place looked like (which is easily seen online). In addition, out of 10 bedrooms, 1 had a bunk bed, and 2 rooms are single beds, so a bridal party likely wouldn’t fit at the inn. There is also only 2 showers, every other room has a tub. I will say however, Dennis, the groundskeeper, was a sweet man and did what he could.
