We hired Ezra for my daughter's wedding. Let me just say, he is awesome. He will work with you to make sure your day runs smoothly. He kept the music pumping and the dance floor jumping. His son, Simon, played acoustic guitar for the ceremony and did an awesome job. We had an outdoor ceremony and a tent reception and he set up everything that was needed for both. He was always timely with his responses and went above and beyond. There is truly no need to look at anyone else. You will not regret hiring him.

Hire Ezra if you want a party!!
I found Ezra when I began looking for Saxophonists in Virginia Beach for my cocktail hour. Ezra came up and he did it all... DJ and Sax and offered a full band if thats the direction you wanted to go. He was great to work with and he matched our vibe perfectly. He sent us an app that we were able to use to specify how people should be introduced, order of events, types of music for each section. He did a great job during cocktail hour, everyone loved the music and he really elevated the vibe which is exactly what I was going for. During the reception he spoke clearly and did a great job MCing... after attending many weddings we knew the DJ could make or break the vibe of the reception. I had a lot of cool ideas that he helped me work through and incorporate into the night. There were a few songs that weren't our vibe but he quickly changed it up, he played off of the crowd well and kept our dance floor packed the entire night and thats what I wanted... a PARTY! He was awesome and I would absolutely hire him again!.

You need ezra!
Every event needs Ezra!!! We could not have imagined our wedding without him! He was so great to work with throughout the whole process, really tailoring each aspect of entertainment to exactly what we were looking for. He is an absolute master when it comes to all things music! We had the sax/guitar duet for cocktail hour and sax/dj combo for the reception. Our guests are still raving about how great he was. Our main request for Ezra was we wanted the dance floor packed all night and that's exactly what we got!! He makes the process so easy and was available for anything we may have needed. With submitting only a few songs/vibes that we wanted, he was able to create an amazing playlist that matched exactly what we were looking for. We cannot thank Ezra enough for his part in our special day! We cannot recommend him enough!!

Ezra on Sax
My husband and I met Ezra at a friends wedding and instantly knew we wanted him to be a part of our day too (we weren't even engaged yet at the time!!). Ezra was absolutely hand's down, the life of the party and created an atmosphere where everyone was participating! Not only did he play the Sax during Cocktail Hour and on the dance floor, he helped to create an interactive Matron of Honor Speech where he "auctioned" off a hilarious photo of my husband wearing a snorkle mask. The crowd went wild and thought it was absolutely hilarious! Not only was this funny but it was extremely last minute (I'm talking the day of the wedding) and he made it work to the extent you would have thought they practiced it for weeks! We appreciate Ezra for taking hours at a time to talk with us before the wedding and for using his professional judgement to help us make decisions for the day of. Ezra and his team are hands down your best bet for your big day, whatever the event. We HIGHLY recommend Ezra on Sax!

Hands down, the best wedding entertainment we could’ve hoped for! Ezra was our DJ and he didn’t just play music—he brought the party!!! Great sax appeal as well! He played his Saxophone beautifully during cocktail hour and was just absolutely blowing everyone away during the dancing too.
With an awesome mix of live music and DJ sets, the energy never dipped. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and guests are still raving about how fun it was. He read the crowd perfectly and created a vibe that felt personal and electric.
10/10 best day ever for us and Ezra made that happen. He made us feel important on our special day. Highly recommend E and E special events for any occasion! They are simply the best!

A dj beyond a dj
As a wedding planner, I will always recommend Ezra and his team. Not only is he an incredible DJ and musician but he turns a wedding into an experience. My couple had Ezra play saxophone for cocktail hour and even added the addition of drums for reception. It was an incredible experience to watch! Not only that, but as a vendor he is amazing to work with and goes above and beyond to ensure everything is running smoothly. He communicates with all the vendors and helps when needed. When a storm came through our reception tent, him and his team dropped their normal vendor roles and jumped in to help manage and clean up the damage. I will also be thankful for having his team that day! 1000/10 recommend!

Amazing DJ AND Saxophone Musician!!
Ezra is FANTASTIC!! He made the music for our reception so special! Not only is the a fantastic DJ and did a great job with music, MC'ing/keeping a good flow, setting the perfect uplighting, but he also played the saxophone!!! It was so magical and everyone loved it! No one was expecting it (we didn't tell our guests) and when he starting playing with a song during dinner everyone was wowed. It was so cool! He also has his masters in music and you could tell the way he was able to perfectly fill the room with music. He is very skilled. He also had a videographer, Demetrius Vest, with him. We were so excited and happy about that and he got some great footage! If you are looking for a DJ that can create a truly special musical space I highly recommend Ezra! He is fantastic!

Dj Ezra,
You are by far the best DJ. I knew you were the right person for our wedding when we first met. You are kind and have great communication skills. Then, when it came to the actual wedding, YOU BLEW US ALL AWAY! From playing the saxophone at cocktail hour to playing jams all night, you were amazing! The way you pick songs and transition from one song to another is mind-blowing. We felt extremely taken care of. The songs were all perfectly timed for the ceremony. The microphone you provided for the officiant was perfect and discrete. It was awesome.
I think it's a special thing that when I was dancing with everyone at the reception and I was so blown away by the song choices and transitions that I couldn't help, but come over to the DJ booth and cheer you on several times. I hope we got a photo of me doing that at least once! I could never thank you enough. You are a wonderful person and an even better DJ. I would highly recommend DJ Ezra for your wedding!

Most amazing DJ!
I got married in June & was so happy we booked Ezra to be our DJ. He was extremely thoughtful with every detail during planning, and used an app to make sure we were on the same page at every step. His music and remixes were amazing, all my guests kept bringing up how much fun the dance floor was. Beyond his music skills, he brought such an upbeat and warm vibe to the reception as a whole. From our grand entrance to our private last dance, we had a blast. We highly recommend Ezra and his team for any event!

We love e & e special events
Ezra was a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process. During our initial virtual meeting he immediately made us feel like comfortable and listened to. He provided us with a simple to use app that allowed us to pull songs from various platforms and decide when we wanted them played. Beyond that, he catered the reception playlist to our music preferences and we had guests dancing all night! He comes with a very professional set up, and the sound was great during our outdoor ceremony and reception. At the end of our wedding, Ezra took the time to pull us to the side for a final private dance, which meant a lot to us. We wanted everyone to have a great time and Ezra made that happen! We highly recommend his services and we could not have done it without him! Thank you Ezra!!!

Ezra with E and E Special Events was simply incredible. From our initial meeting to working closely on the app Vibo, it made planning that much easier! DJ Doah is incredible!
DJ Doah is truly incredible! E and E Special Events was recommended to us by our coordinator, and we were lucky enough to be connected with Doah. We chose the DJ Services (Enhanced Ceremony) with Wedding Reception DJ and Ceremony Coverage, which was the perfect selection to have full DJ coverage for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in addition to lapel microphone for the officiant and wireless microphone for reception toasts. Doah also brought two setups for our separate ceremony, cocktail, and reception areas which allowed there to be no lapse in music coverage. Doah was so personable and really understood/catered to our music vision! He was also very flexible as we continued to change music selection and wedding day timeline throughout the year of planning. Between our two zoom meetings with Doah, once when we first booked him a year out from our wedding and again a few weeks before the big day, we felt like Doah was already part of the family. Day of, Doah didn't miss a "beat" and executed all of our big song choices/transitions perfectly! He was kind enough to step out during our last private dance and join in on the grand exit; then gave us the best bar recommendation for the after party and later joined in for the late-night festivities after he cleaned up his equipment. Doah's energy, fun spirit, personal connection, and professionalism played a huge role in providing us with the perfect wedding day music. I am so grateful and honored to have had him as our DJ, and now friend.

We hired Ezra and Simon for my sister’s wedding and it was every bit as amazing as we had hoped! Simon played acoustic guitar for her ceremony and did a beautiful job and Ezra DJ’d the reception and kept the dance floor rocking! Ezra played a huge role in making sure the day ran smoothly. His attention to detail showed just how much experience he has. Our guests couldn’t say enough good things about him!! Working with Ezra was amazing from the get go! He had a long meeting early on to explain his services and discuss my vision. He was always communicating with me and uses an app called Vibo to help organize your music and timeline. He and his wife Emily executed my vision perfectly - starting from perfect timing for my entrance into the ceremony, to saxophone during cocktail, the lights and the infectious energy at the reception, to cold sparks at our send off - Emily even helped bustle my dress! My guests are still raving about them! I cannot recommend them enough!!

Brought the house down!
Would give extra stars if I could! Ezra & his team were so easy to work with and excellent at what they do. Doah was who we primarily worked with for our wedding, and he & Hector were who we had on the day of the wedding. I told them to bring the party- and BOY DID THEY BRING IT! Weddings can be so stressful, and I didn't have a thing to worry about when it came to the DJs. Wonderful, amazing, show-stopping. BOOK THEM!!!!

Wedding DJ
I had already known of E and E Special Events through other local weddings, and I knew whenever I got married, Ezra was going to be first choice. Luckily, he was available for our March 27, 2022 wedding! Ezra was always responsive and is such a friendly guy. He also is a preferred vendor at our venue Lesner Inn and we were able to get a discount because of that. Even without the discount, Ezra is very affordable for the services he provides. My husband Philip and I were able to choose our own music for all the events of the day to make it personal to us. No matter what song you want, he will make sure he can find it and use it for your big day! I was so afraid of the music “skipping” as I’ve seen happen at other weddings, but due to Ezra’s professionalism, no malfunctions occurred. You will not regret having him as your DJ!

Ezra was the best DJ we could have imagined for our wedding! Before our wedding day, he was super responsive and supportive in helping us select our songs and order the events of the day, even dealing with me changing the songs more than once. We used an app he sent where our guests could add songs to the playlist ahead of the wedding, and everyone loved this! At the wedding, he did a great job on the Saxophone during cocktail hour, and amazing job during the dancing. Our guests didn't want to stop dancing when the night ended! Ezra was the BEST!! We are so happy with how our wedding turned out and it would not have been as awesome as it was without Ezra as our DJ. He was super flexible and easy to plan with. The first DJ we booked had a conflict and had to cancel, and I’m so thankful we found Ezra. He was quick to help us with just a couple months before our original wedding date…and then again when we had to reschedule because of covid. When our day finally came, it was perfect. Ezra was a pleasure to work with from the very first inquiry. He was prompt and took the time to listen to all of our concerns and answer any questions. And trust me, in the thick of the Covid changes, I had a lot of them! On the day of the event, he was prepared and punctual. Everything went according to plan and he helped make the night enjoyable and memorable. My husband and I are so happy we went with his services. Definitely a great decision!

A true DJ, MC, and Musician!!
We met with Ezra via zoom due to COVID and we immediately knew we had found what we were looking for to handle our wedding!! He was so helpful and flexible throughout! He provided sound for our Ceremony string quartet, mic'd our officiant, provided live saxophone and piano music for cocktail hour where he played sax, and on top of all that was a TRUE MC and DJ for our reception! I have attended so many weddings in which I have missed special things simply because there was no notification. Ezra ensured that all of our guests where made aware anytime something special was taking place such as the toasts, dances, bouquet and garter toss, cake cutting, and so on. He also hosted an easy swing dance lesson which had all of our guests up and dancing. Not to forget he did all of his own lighting for the reception as well which was excellent! We are so grateful to him for creating the environment and experience we were hoping for!!

Awesome Wedding experience.

Ezra (DJ) and Emily (baker/chef for cake) were AWESOME! Both of them were especially understanding and supportive as me and my fiancé - now husband - were navigating the past few months regarding the pandemic, and we couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding night turned out. We highly recommend E&E's DJ and cake services as we had ZERO complaints - only compliments! The cake was soooo delicious (!!) and we had a blast dancing the night away.

He went above and beyond
Ezra was a rockstar. He is a talented musician, emcee, DJ, and sound/light man. Everything seems effortless to him and I didn't have a single worry that the sound, lights, and feel of our wedding would be perfect. He read the crowd (and us) so well, did a ton of prep work, and simply NAILED it at the wedding and reception. Everyone had a great time! He went above and beyond in so many ways, and I could not recommend him more.

Best Wedding DJ we’ve every seen!
Ezra was beyond wonderful to work with on the music for our reception! He has a very thorough check sheet to fill out for all the big points of the reception that he went over point by point before the wedding. Between that and he’s very wide and excellent taste in music it made planning that portion of the wedding a breeze. I was personally very thrilled with his ability to do a mini swing dance tutorial during the reception. We, and our guests, loved it and it made for some amazing pictures! You don’t regret going with him for your big day!

We had the best time at our wedding! E and E Special Events was a part of that magic. Ezra and Emily were friendly and professional from start to finish. Emily's work with cake was amazing. The best dj
Ezra was amazing! Very respectful when it came to songs I did and didn’t want. He was fun and kept the crowd entertained! His commutation was great! He would call me if there was a problem or if he needed to talk to me about details. Payments were easy and hassle free. Overall the night was great and everyone didn’t want to leave!

I hired Ezra as my wedding DJ because I attended another wedding he DJ’d, and it was such a good night! He did such a great job with our wedding, too! The dance floor was packed all night, and I received so many compliments about the music! He was extremely easy to work with and very professional. He played saxophone during our cocktail hour, which, in my opinion, went above and beyond the duties of a wedding DJ. We also had a special request for clean music for the kids and more conservative attendants of our wedding, and he had very quality clean versions of songs! I would recommend Ezra to anyone and everyone! He is willing to accommodate all styles of music and any special requests!

E & E Events is the best! Our cake exceeded my expectations, not only was it extraordinarily beautiful the texture and flavor was out of this world! Ezra really knows how to get a crowd on the dance floor and was so much more than just a DJ at our wedding, he truly was the Master of Ceremonies. Ezra was the DJ for both of our daughter's weddings. Our daughters could not be more different and Ezra was able to be the perfect DJ and set the appropriate time for both of my daughters. We cannot say enough nice things about Ezra and Emily with E & E Events. They were both professional, client focused, individualized, and worry-free. Ezra was very kind, willing to be as involved as we needed. He helped keep the timeline of our wedding evening with our wedding coordinator so could enjoy and mingle. We made a list of dinner music and dance music we wished to hear and we heard all of our songs and more. Ezra was able to understand our style and music preferences and filled in with great song selections that fit our event. Ezra was prepared and ready to deliver his service. He was fun and involved but also provided an environment that guests could have conversations and hear one another! We are very happy we hired E & E Events, it was the right choice.

We LOVE Ezra from E and E Special Events. He was the DJ for my sister's wedding a few years ago, and I would not have DREAMED of using anyone else. He is extremely professional, communicating the whole way along, and he is a fun person to work with. He has fantastic equipment that makes the entire experience a blast. He sent us a whole worksheet to gather information about what type of music we like and don't like, as well as any other expectations we may have had. He thought of a lot of things we didn't even consider! He spoke with me the week of the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page. Our photographer commented several times during the wedding that he was super easy to work with for her as well, commenting on his professionalism and overall competence. Ezra makes sure that everyone has so much fun. Best DJ ever.

E&E provided the stress relief I needed when obtaining vendors for my daughter's wedding. From the first meeting, both Ezra and Emily were highly prepared and understood my daughter's desires. They demonstrated their ability to provide what was requested and delivered just that! We definitely appreciated Emily being so flexible for last minute mini cupcakes add-on. She is such a great pastry chef and created the wedding cake designed just as requested. Ezra's disc jockey skills were top notch. He was so prepared with equipment set up for both the wedding ceremony and the reception area. I loved that he was dressed in a tux, so he blended right in with the festive occasion. Thank you Ezra and Emily for giving this mother of the bride a much needed piece of mind!

E and E Special Events was referred to us by a friend. We were looking for both a cake and DJ for our wedding so we thought why not look at this couple that offers both! Emily and Ezra both deliver the quality service you seek and more! As a side note, Emily was amazing with the cake! She was super professional when discussing what my wife wanted and made some good suggestions! Most people save the top tier of the cake and wait a year later to eat it, but we actually couldn't wait and finished it last week! The cake was one of the most memorable aspects of the wedding and our guests loved it as well. Ezra is also as professional as they come and is very knowledgable in music in general. The day of the wedding, the pianist's keyboard malfunctioned and all I said was, "someone take care of it," and Ezra came through! Since he provided all of the audio equipment for our wedding, he mic'd up a grand piano that our venue had and it all worked out. I am a huge music lover and am pretty particular about what we were going to be listening to at the wedding. I pretty much just gave Ezra some suggestions of songs for our cocktail hour and he curated an awesome playlist that both we and our guests loved. Some of the guests were asking for the playlist after the wedding! He also kept some good, positive energy going throughout the reception, which was crucial. I could really go on about these two, but really just want to say that if you're thinking about booking these two, stop thinking and JUST DO IT. They're awesome!

I was prepared to meet with 7 different dj's but after meeting Ezra, I cancelled the other 6! Within 5 minutes, Ezra felt more like a friend than a business contract.
Ezra dj'd our ceremony and reception; he made sure everything went off without a hitch. He provided us with a song request form in advance of our big day which was perfect, because it reminded me of details I hadn't previously thought of.
Ezra's fabulous sense of humor, wonderful taste in music removed any possibility of stuffiness from our big day and helped make it FUN - which is exactly what we wanted.
I would plan another even just to be able to hire Ezra again!

Ezra, and his wife Emily, who did our cake, were both fabulous. They were responsive to email and phone calls, as we were planning from afar. Ezra's DJ worksheet was easy to understand and comprehensive. He has an incredible selection of music and even found a track to accompany a hymn we sang at the ceremony. He was able to provide everything we need as far as sound and music for our entirely outdoor, middle-of-nowhere field wedding and reception, with minimal electricity requirements. When dinner ran long, and pushed the rest of the schedule back considerably, he easily adjusted accordingly.

He gave me a call before the wedding to make sure that he had the vibe right for the reception and did a great job of playing what we asked for! Ezra ran things smoothly at the reception, he did a great job of letting us know the time and when we should start getting ready for the next thing. As a bride the reception is such a blur, it was nice to have a DJ there who ran the show without me having to watch the clock. When Ezra and I talked I said I wanted to make sure people danced and had a good time. When he started the music I pulled a few people out to start dancing but no one was joining us, Ezra started a conga line where if we passed the table you had to join and get on the dance floor, people loved it!!! It got people out on the dance floor which is exactly what I wanted! He did an awesome job of reading the room and adjusting the music accordingly (or finding creative ways to get people to dance). If you pick Ezra it's definitely worth getting him to play the saxophone, it was so pretty to have during the meal, people were so impressed! He was great to work with!

Emily create a cake the exact cake that I envisioned for my wedding day. She took the time to match the color to my bridesmaid dresses and my cake was gorgeous! Ezra was our DJ for the reception. Ezra was a great DJ at my wedding! I had very specific requests and not a whole lot of time for my reception, but he made everything run smoothly and followed my every demand. My guests had a great time and he kept the party alive. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Our Wedding in June 2009 was awesome. Ezra played the music genre we requested and the wedding reception stayed upbeat with dance music. We loved how he introduced the wedding party as we walked into the reception. I felt like it was organized and professional. I loved the lighting he brought with him for the dance floor. The entire reception ran smoothly which is what every bride and groom would like for their wedding day. I couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our special day and thought the price was very reasonable. I also had Emily make our wedding cake, which is BY FAR the best cake I had ever had and have not had anything come close since. We ordered the almond buttercream cake. We had a beach wedding and requested a cake that looked like a sandcastle- she delivered more than I had envisioned in my head: It was fabulous. My friends and family STILL talk about that cake and how beautiful it looked and wonderful it tasted. If you need a professional vendor for your special day, I highly recommend this team. We have zero regrets...and I also recommend saving the top of the wedding cake for a year later in your freezer...Emily's cake tasted just as good one year later as it did our wedding day!
