Perfect to a t!

Emily was fantastic! From the taste testing until the day of the wedding. she kept in constant contact and made sure she knew exactly what I was picturing. She had a lot of tips with certain colors of icing that could have been a disaster! I sent her photos of what I was looking for in design and she made my day perfect with exactly what I wanted AND a delicious cake with different tiers of flavors AND the top tier being my husbands and our own! She was kind and did a AMAZING JOB and I would recommend her every time to every bride!

Best Cake I Have Ever Tasted!

E and E Special Events outdid themselves with our wedding cake! Emily delivered exactly what I asked for and the flavors were absolutely AMAZING! We had so many comments about how delicious the cake was from our wedding guests. I knew from the moment we did the tasting that the cake was going to be one of the best parts of our wedding. Emily was extremely professional and so pleasant to work with. I can't wait for our one year anniversary so I can have some more of her cake! I highly recommend E and E Special Events!

Cake for quinceanera

We couldn’t be happier with this cake!!! Omg the flavors were amazing. And the design was flawless! Emily was willing to work one on one with us to design an AMAZING cake for a very special girl celebrating her quinceanera. The cake was truly a spectacular highlight of the evening! Emily even went above and beyond to include a special hidden tribute to the birthday girl and her court. They felt so special and honored. Thank you Emily, a million times over!!

I was so very pleased with E&E Special Events and they are so affordable. Emily was so sweet and outgoing. She was really easy to talk to and made exactly what my husband and I wanted. My now-husband was very pleased with how the tasting went, she really did spoil us. We were able to sit down with her, talk to her about what our dream cake was, what we wanted and we got to taste many different varieties of cakes with her different frosting options. She made our day even more special with the beautiful cake she made for us; it was perfect! Everyone at our wedding rant and raved about how beautiful and delicious it was! And to top it all off and make things even more perfect, she made us a video after she was done setting it up at the venue. Her message was very sweet and thoughtful and we were so lucky to have found E & E Special Events. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Our wedding cake was absolutely fantastic! We had a tiered cake with three different flavors. Many of our guests thought the cake was so delicious that they had to try all three flavors!

Emily did an amazing job on our wedding cake! It was made exactly as we discussed the colors were perfect and not to mention delicious! The cake was so moist and we were able to make each layer a different flavor which everyone loved. Emily’s home based business was more professional than some other vendors we visited. I would definitely recommend her for any cakes!

Emily did such an amazing job with our wedding cake! We wanted a cake with cream cheese icing since that is what my husband likes and E&E Special Events was the only baker I talked to that would use cream cheese instead of buttercream for the cake's frosting! We had a strawberry cake with a strawberry puree filling and a strawberry mousse filling...it was divine. I can't wait for next June when we get to eat our cake topper!

I honestly cannot think of anything that I didn't like about the service I received from E and E Special Events. The great service began when they were able to assist, even on a shorter than normal time frame. They were flexible in the arrangements to make all the final decisions. Even on the day of the wedding, when the reception room turned out slightly warmer than expected, they worked with reception staff to keep the cake in a cooler location until about an hour before cutting. She did this without me having to worry about any of it and I much appreciated that. Lastly, the cake was just as I would have hoped for. It looked wonderful and tasted great. Thank you E and E for the beautiful wedding cake!

Emily made my son's Birthday cake and she did a fantastic job. I would recommend her to anyone. She is very professional and she prepared his cake in a timely manner. I will definitely order more cakes from her in the near future. Thank you Emily! I really appreciate your time.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed we working with Emily. She was very professional, unbelievably responsive leading up to our tasting, and very welcoming during our initial meeting with her. We received so many compliments on our beautiful wedding cake. She mirrored the picture I gave her perfectly. Our cake was delicious too. My husband and I even took some of it with us on our honeymoon. We can't wait to taste our top layer in one year! Honestly you are in for a treat if you book Emily! Our tasting was so much fun!! She's great! You won't be disappointed.

Emily was a pleasure to work with for our wedding cake!! From the first day we met her, we could tell she is passionate about her work! She helped us create a design as well as test each cake we thought as good choices. She makes amazing butter cream frosting! She is very professional and responds in a very timely manner, which is important for these special days. She was also very patient with us while we waited for our cake toppers to arrive! The cake turned out amazing & I love all the pictures we got! Thank you E&E!

Emily did an awesome job on my wedding cake and cupcakes! She is very dedicated to her work. We chose various flavors which was great because most places only let you have few flavors without mixing and matching. Guest loved how moist and fresh it was!
Also, I forgot to give her my cake topper (good thing I didn't spend too much on it, hehe). Emily was able to find one that went well with my cake. I didn't even notice she gave me one until I was looking at pictures. She totally saved me from that.

I would recommend Emily to do your wedding cake/cupcakes!

AMAZING! very loving and fun. When my husband and I taste tested with her we knew right away she was gonna be our girl for our cake! When i saw the finished product at the wedding I was in awe. E&E Events is hands down the best in my opinion. Emily was with me every step of the way with my cake needs. She sat myself, my husband to be, and my mother down for an amazing cake tasting. She had so many delicious flavors to chose from I ended up picking 3 cake flavors with several fillings. Not one of her options was not top notch. The taste, texture, look, and over all quality of her cake were spectacular. She made the cupcakes for my bridal shower that had the most beautiful glitter and my wedding cake almost made me cry it was so perfect. I have now even used her for birthday cakes. Emily worked with me and made suggestions when I could not make my mind about taste or how I wanted my cake to look. She was extremely professional and polite.

The three most important parts of any wedding reception are food, cake, and music. Emily and Ezra provide two of those services, and they do so brilliantly. The cake was absolutely heavenly, light and fluffy with the best butter cream frosting I've ever tasted.

Ezra handled the demands of our musically diverse crowd with ease, working in requests seamlessly and keeping everyone on the dance floor.

I highly recommend E&E Special Events.

Emily created the most beautiful cake and cupcakes for my wedding this past weekend!! I sent her a photo of my dress and asked that she use it as inspiration for our top tier and she nailed it! She specially made a stand to display the mini cupcakes which she airbrushed with our wedding colors and edible glitter! The guests were amazed by the variety of flavors and fillings they got. Not only was everything beautiful and delicious but Emily was very easy to work with and took my ideas to create something really special and memorable for our wedding.

If I could leave a 10 star rating for Emily (E and E Special Events), I would do it in a heart beat! From the day we first spoke with Emily about possibly baking our wedding cake, through the AMAZING tasting (my now husbands absolute favorite part of wedding planning), to the follow through and final product on our wedding day... I could not imagine a more professional, compassionate individual to work with. Not only was our wedding cake GORGEOUS, but we had 5 tiers with 4 different varieties in cake and filling flavors and each one was raved about by our guests. I cannot wait to see the professional photos of our cake! In addition to our wedding cake, Emily found the time to perfect my idea for my husbands grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner the evening before. She was so easy to consult with, replied quickly to questions/concerns I had, and offered a lot of guidance and support in decision making. I would recommend E and E Special Events for any of your baking needs, and look forward to working with Emily again in the future!

I can't say enough about Emily of E & E Special Events. She's a true artist and just a genuine sweetheart! I have been doing business with her since 2009 (my daughter's wedding) and just recently had her provide an awesome birthday cake for my husband's 60th birthday. I chose a vanilla mocha and chocolate cake w/ chocolate cream filling and ALL of my guests loved it. It truly was amazing!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily at E&E!
She was super fun to work with, kind, and so patient - even after we chose 6 flavors for our (one) wedding cake!
Emily delivered our cake and even stayed for part of our ceremony and reception (at our request). By the time our big day arrived, I felt more like she was a friend than a business contract, even though she was all business when she needed to be!
Our cake was so moist and delicious we are still eating it 3 days later! Our guests are still raving about our cake - they passed up the cheesecake station to get to the wedding cake!
I will definitely bring Emily all my future cake orders!

Emily is one of the few people who would make our cake with buttercream instead of fondant AND it was totally worth it. She made each tier a different flavor. All of the guests loved it. I barely got to eat any the day of....but even some of the leftover cake the next day was better than some of the bakeries we tried before choosing her! She even contacted me the day before to make slight changes to the cake to make it look the best it possibly could. I would definitely use her again for a party!

Emily was AMAZING to work with. Her cakes were by far the best I have ever tasted. She was prompt with emails and phone calls. When we went to pick out the cake flavors she let us taste about 6 different types of cakes and about 12 different icing combos. By far one of our best vendors at my daughters wedding!

Emily took my ideas and wants and gave me exactly what I was looking for! Cakes tasted and looked amazing--they were the talk of the night! We then had her make us a mini version of it for our First Anniversary, and she nailed it again! She's great to work with and knows exactly what you want. I am always worried of being disappointed when ordering things, but she definitely impressed!!

Oh, we LOVED working with E&E. We went to several tastings, but this one was the BEST by far. All the cake flavors were moist and delicious and icings were to die for! It also helped that our chef, Emily, was professional and extremely accommodating. My now-husband and I looked at each other as soon as we left and said, "This is the one!" haha :) We ended up getting a small cake for us and cupcakes for all of our wedding guests. I'd say we got more compliments on the cupcakes than anything else at the wedding. And even though we were "supposed" to wait a year to eat our cake... there was no way we were letting Emily's cake go to waste, so we saved one piece for next year, and we ate the rest of it! So good! (We had strawberry-flavored cake with strawberry filling!)

We loved Emily from the time we met her! Another engaged couple told us about her and we are so glad they did! Our cake tasting was amazing and Emily was so sweet! I gave her some pictures of what I wanted for my cake and what she created was absolutely gorgeous and better than I could imagine!!! Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted amazing! Several guests went back for seconds and thirds! I would recommend Emily to anyone for any event!

We ordered a graduation cake for our daughter. It was a wonderful experience from the tasting to delivery. It was so beautiful and everyone oooh and ahhh over the cake. The only thing that made it better was it tasted amazing!

Emily is awesome! I used the great reviews here to choose her for my wedding cake, and I'm so glad I did. She was always quick to respond to my messages and she spent a lot of time with us on the front end selecting flavors and answering our questions. The cake itself was gorgeous and looked exactly like the picture I sent her--very elegant. AND...this was the best wedding cake I have ever tasted. Normally wedding cake is dry and boring, but this was moist and full of flavor! We had creative flavor combinations for each layer of the cake. I thought it might be too complicated, but Emily said it would work, and it did--our guests loved it and many of them had 2 pieces because it was so good and they wanted to try the other flavors. I loved our cake, and Emily is wonderful! I really enjoyed working with her and absolutely recommend her.

WOW!!! That seemed to be the overarching comment from our guests about the cake. We tried a lot of bakeries for cakes and just felt like the cakes didn't taste "right" but when we met with Emily we were blown away by the variety, presentation, and taste. Emily was so incredibly professional and was awesome at responding to emails, it was never more than an hour or two before she responded. We settled on the pineapple cake with coconut and pineapple filling and a layer of almond cake with raspberry filling. Emily had such a variety though that it was hard to choose, and each one tasted great! I'm not a chocolate person and I even loved hers. She was great to work with and the cake looked beautiful!

Emily with E & E Special Events is nothing short of AMAZINGLY TALENTED! We sat with her and told her the concept and theme of her wedding and she went through the processes by identifying what it was we really liked and wanted. She really listened to me and the what we were unable verbalize she was able to jump into our brains and extract, resulting in a MASTERPIECE! Our wedding was amazing but our cake almost stole the show! It was beyond BEAUTIFUL, the top tier was spinning!!! Not only was the cake ridiculously GORGEOUS, the flavors we selected were absolutely delicious!! She allowed us to pick the combinations we liked and advised us on our choices. Guests were more than pleased with the cake!! I even had a friend text me to ask if we had any left over cake because he wanted another piece!! Thank you so much Emily! The cake was SPECTACULAR!!

We used this company for our wedding cake and it was wonderful. The cake was exactly how we wanted it to look and the flavors my husband and I chose were excellent. We had an almond cake with raspberry filling, pineapple filling, and coconut filling in each layer. We had fresh flowers on the top and along the side of our cake. It was beautiful! We loved our wedding cake so much we order from this company for all different occasions. I always order an Anniversary cake every year and just this year I ordered my baby shower cake. My husband is not a cake person but after he tried E and E Special Events, they are the only cakes he will eat. I have gotten his Birthday cakes made from them as well. We have been very pleased with all of the cakes we have had made from Emily and we always refer her to others.

While looking for cakes, we wanted what every bride wants, the best possible cake for the best possible price! Well we found it! While searching through reviews, we fell in love with Emily before even meeting her or tasting her cakes! When we went to our cake tasting I had the deposit ready in my pocket because I knew it was going to be amazing! We got a three tier cake made with two different flavors, white chocolate cake with Bavarian cream and fresh raspberry, and strawberry cake with strawberry filling. Both favors were to die for!!! The raspberry was our top tier, which we took on our honeymoon to eat because I knew I couldn't look at it in my freezer for a year without touching it! Our guests still rave about how great the cake was!
We also has a cake made for our rehearsal dinner and it was perfect! Delivery was also free for this cake, which was fantastic because the day was a busy one!
I was so pleased with the cost, taste,and service! We would recommend E & E Special Events to any bride looking for the perfect cake at the perfect price!

Emily was an absolute dream to work with. She made the entire cake ordering and designing process so much fun! And I have to say, her cakes are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Emily was superb. The taste testing was delicious. My fiance was unable to attend and so I took the cake samples for him to try. I tried several bakeries but Emily's cakes were unique and tasty. All the others tasted like they used the same box cake mix. Her cakes are masterpieces of art. I decided to have cupcakes along with a small cake for my first anniversary. I had several different flavored cupcakes topped with awesome white chocolate seashells. Everyone loved the cupcakes and kept going back for more. Some folks just loved the extra white chocolate seashells which was also used to decorate the table and the cupcakes.
I knew E & E was the right vendor for me. I truly appreciate the professionalism and knew my day would be special with mouthwatering, moist, extremely flavorful cupcakes. Thanks Emily!

Emily is amazing! She was my absolute favorite vendor that we worked with through our wedding planning. She responded to every email, and kept assuring me that everything would be perfect. From the tasting to the delivery of the cake she was professional and helpful. When I wanted to have a four-tier instead of a three-tier without raising the price too high, she found a solution.
The cake she made was perfect. Moist and the fillings were delicious. The almond cake has great flavor, unlike some others I've tried which have little to no almond flavor.

Our cake not only looked amazing but also tasted wonderful. Emily even had to run out last minute to buy flowers for the cake because of an error on our part, but it still looked flawless! The DJ also did a great job and really kept our guests entertained.

Emily not only has a wide variety of cakes and fillings to choose from, but the cakes she delivers are the most fresh I have ever tasted at a wedding. Even on weekends when she has multiple weddings, she puts every ounce into making sure each one is the best it can be. A lot of my correspondence was via email since I planned my wedding from out of state, but Emily was very prompt in responding and was very flexible in arranging tastings during the few times I was in town before the event. The cake she delivered was above and beyond what we expected and tasted amazing. If I lived closer, I would definitely commission her for our anniversary cake and/or special event cakes!! This is by far the best wedding cake I have ever tasted!! Our cake was so fresh and received so many compliments!! They have wonderful unusual flavors (one tier was cinnamon cake with cream cheese filling!) that will not let you down. Everyone always says not to worry about the cake because you always end up with a ton of leftovers... But there were NO leftovers besides the topper, which I had to specifically ask the catering staff to set aside for us. People loved the cake so much they were sneaking slices from other tables. The next day people were asking where I got the cake so they could order some for any occasion. It not only tasted good but looked great...the cake was BEAUTIFUL and incorporated our theme, colors, logos, etc. Emily was so flexible in design that she took my drawings and made a perfect replica. I highly recommend her!!!

Emily was very professional and knowledgeable, but also very friendly and easy to work with. My daughter had a particular design in mind that we shared with her at the taste testing and she created exactly what my daughter asked for. Many people commented on the beauty of the cake and also the tastes of the 5 layers (all different). The almond cake was wonderful!!!

We were absolutely overjoyed, pleased, surprised, and ecstatic at the cake we received from Emily! We went to her with a jumbled vision and she executed it perfectly in our cake. This couple is absolutely amazing! They are extremely talented, professional and friendly. I told Emily a flower and colors, and she created the most beautiful wedding cake I could've imagined! We brought a picture for an idea and the cake ended up even more beautiful than our idea. The cake tasted so great, it was hard to choose a flavor. And I was told by several friends the homemade chocolates on the cake were also the best they've had.
My now mother-in-law also used them for a more last minute order for our rehersal dinner/bridal shower and again everything was perfect and tasted great. No complaints. Would definitely use them again.

While Emily technically only provided the cake for our wedding, in all actuality she provided SO much more. Not only did she make the cake exactly how I had asked and described, but I have never heard so many people go on and on about how wonderful a cake tasted before. It was definitely one of the highlights of every one of our guest's nights. Emily also provided our groom's cake, which was equally delicious and so greatly unique. Our wedding cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! A lot of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they had ever tasted! We had a 4 tier square cake, almond flavored with butter cream icing. Our theme was snowflakes so she had snowflakes cascading down the cake. It was soooo good. I still dream of that cake! You will not be disapointed if you choose them!

Emily at E & E was incredible from beginning to end! She was professional, personable (always going the extra mile to be sure that I was well informed and comfortable), always provided prompt feedback and suggestions (from long, detailed e-mails to hand-written notes and phone calls), her prices were competitive, and she made a stunning cake for my husband and I identical to the small picture that we gave her. Being an out-of-town bride planning a destination wedding, I needed to put a great deal of faith in the person/organization making the cake. E and E Special Events was an affordable, professional, and amazing group to deal with. My husband and I chose them for our wedding cake and DJ services and they exceeded our expectations by far. The cake was not only absolutely beautiful, but incredibly tasty (which we found to be either or at most other places). The DJ was great, he helped play all the songs we wanted, motivated people to dance, and ensured that all our guests had a great time. E&E offers more than just cake and DJ services. They offer catering, live music, decor, and planning. Emily was so awesome with guiding me in the right direction. The cake was completely unique. It was a combination design of two cakes so we didn't know what it would really look like, but it turned out beautifully. The DJ services by Ezra were perfect. We had a schedule we wanted to go by and when we would get off that schedule, he was professional and allowed us to enjoy ourselves and manage to get us back on schedule. Most of our communication was done online plus they expected PayPal payments which was totally awesome. Great people to work with. I highly recommend E&E Special Events or any of there wedding needs.

Emily did a fantastic and delicious 4 tier rustic romance themed cake for our wedding just three weeks ago. It was designed exactly as discussed! She was the only baker we found to make a perfect marble cake which my husband loves. We added a boston creme type filling which is sooo delicious with marble! Her cakes, frosting, and fillings are moist and decadent!! Our wedding guests could not stop complimenting how delicious her cake was! Vanilla mocha is my favorite but i'm just a mocha fanatic! We can't wait to try out our top tier anniversary cake next year! Emily is professional, attentive, and very nice person to meet! I would recommend her to future brides!!

Emily was a pleasure to work with.....from start to finish, each time I flew home from (AZ to VA) she would be there to discuss the cake. She was extremely professional during the cake tasting, her cakes were delicious!!! It was so hard choosing. I wanted a platinum cake and she delivered....she helped me design a cake then later on, she contacted me and expressed that if I wanted platinum, she felt in her heart that the original design wouldn't have that effect so she came up with a whole new design and she was right. The cake was 5 ft tall and looked like something you would see in "Platinum Wedding." The detail was AMAZING!!! On the wedding day, guests couldn't stop talking about how it looked and tasted. We are still craving this cake.

Best Cake Option - Trust us we tried them all

The best cake I have ever tasted in my life — and it looked fantastic as well!

We were planning a destination wedding and had to group all of our cake tastings during one weekend, as we lived three hours from our venue. Eating cake all weekend may sound like fun, but your stomach does tire of it! As it happened, our taste testing with E&E Special Events would be our last, and the only time that worked for our schedule and Emily was early Monday morning. Truthfully, we were quite sick of cake by then, and especially unenthusiastic about eating it for breakfast. And then we met Emily and she laid out absolutely beautiful samples, about five or so combos of many different cake flavorings, fillings, and icings. All of it, super. Fantastic. I cannot emphasize how impressed we were—we entered that tasting never wanting to see cake again and left wanting more. In fact, the cake still tasted divine (and moist!) hours later, when the Matron of Honor got to taste it, and she was still impressed with how good the cake was.

She also worked with us to create a travel-themed cake that fit our wedding perfectly! We used 3d printed models of various landmarks around the world, which Emily included on the cake, tying it all together. Not only did the cake look great, but the whole cake tasted just as good as the sample we had had months earlier. Emily has a wide selection of flavors and fillings, and we were able to have two different flavors in the cake so both the bride and groom could have their favorites. We could not have been more thrilled! What an absolute delight to see and eat on our wedding day! Thank you so much Emily! This was one of the highlights of our special day!

Emily did both my daughters shower cake and her wedding cake. She did such an amazing job! She completely got our vision (I selected the style of shower cake and my daughter and her now husband the wedding cake) Not only did both look like a piece of art, but everyone loved the taste. She communicated frequently through the process which made our stress levels non existent. Thank you Emily for helping to make her day so special!

We worked with Emily and her husband, Ezra, for both our cake and DJ services after seeing both at another wedding. Emily was so kind, even when I'm sure I was being frustrating with indecisiveness. The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. She has so many flavors to choose from! We were planning from afar and only got to meet in person once before the wedding, but both were responsive to email and phone.

Absolutely perfect. The cake was not only the best wedding cake we had ever eaten, but the best cake period. And it was gorgeous! And the cake was even changed to fit a family heirloom platter I already had. Can't recommend enough!!
