Amazing!!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! From start to finish, everything was absolutely seamless - the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all flowed perfectly. DJ Von was so easy to work with, incredibly accommodating, and always quick to respond. On top of that, he was genuinely kind and a calming presence throughout the day. He played everything we hoped for, stayed within the vibe and genres we discussed, and kept the energy just right all night long. We are so grateful and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing DJ experience! -

Best DJ for quick, adaptable communication & reading the room!
Von DJd my wedding at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club this July. The music was SO important because it was timed with several surprises, including entrances and choreographed dances. I said if there were only 1 or 2 things that had to go perfectly, they were related to the music. Von delivered above and beyond! He was great at adapting, super communicative, and always looking for ways to improve the experience. I booked him after he did a fantastic job at my sister’s wedding and he will always be my #1 recommendation! -

Incredibly Professional
DJ Von is incredible. He is incredible with all communication, and responds quickly to all questions or concerns. I am so thankful that we found him to be at our wedding at the San Clemente Historic Cottage. He was very involved with us at the wedding which we loved, and our guests really enjoyed his music selection for dancing. If you need a DJ, Von is the guy for you I promise! We did a private dance for our wedding and DJ Von went out of his way to ask guests to leave the area in a very polite way so we could have our special moment. Very nice and very professional! -

DJ Von was great! He was incredibly friendly, responsive, and provides great guidance on all aspects of wedding music, announcements, and timing. Wow! DJ Von is absolutely amazing. He was our DJ for our wedding in October at Solstice Restaurant in Irvine and truly helped make our day so special. From the moment we first started chatting with him about our wedding, we felt so reassured and excited to have him DJ our day. Excellent DJ
I would highly recommend DJ Von. He is professional, well planned and did an excellent job at our wedding in capo beach. He coordinated with me beforehand and was flexible with the needs of my wedding. He was a great MC and had a great vibe. He was well priced and did an epic job! -

DJ Von was the DJ at my wedding. He did a fantastic job! He is a really nice man! He is reliable and every time I called him, he answered. He showed up early to my wedding to set up. He did great from the start of my ceremony till the very end! I definitely recommend him! He is the best! -

Attention to detail and motivated to make the best experience for you and your guests
We had our wedding at San Juan Hills golf club, which was amazing. Von was an incredible dj from the start. He was very communicative and made sure we were prepared for our special day and that the music was not only timed perfectly, but to our liking.

A fantastic DJ!!!!
I hired Von to DJ a retirement party and he MADE our event. There were many different people in the crowd (family, colleges, corporate representation) many people not knowing each other. Von had groups out dancing, read the crowd on the next best music and was THE PERFECT DJ. I arrived with needing help on timelines and how to run the evening and Von knew exactly what to do and when and took it from there. A perfect DJ makes a party and Von did that for us. We had a wonderful party!! THANK YOU!! -

Best Wedding DJ in Existence!
Von was absolutely phenomenal as the DJ for our wedding! From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable. The French Estate March 30 2024
DJ Von was awesome! He was so flexible and played our playlists that we created, he kept the atmosphere loose, and also kept it rolling. Von knows what he’s doing too, he knew where to set up, he would ask our thoughts, he was definitely one of our worry-free parts of our wedding. Both my wife and I highly recommend him! -

He has got the Vibe!!
DJ Von was super easy to work with from beginning to end!!! Very professional and wanted it all done perfect the way the newlyweds wanted it done. At the Jewel of Ortega, our wedding venue, DJ Von set up 2 sound areas, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. It turned out just perfect!!!

Excellent DJ-Highly Recommend
Upon recommendation, I hired Von for an exclusive private birthday party for a high-level city government official. Von was extremely responsive to our pre-party planning. He arrived early and was ready to DJ on time. He managed perfectly the play list I had selected, plus the requests from the guests. His attire was ideal for the event, and he presented himself well. He was very flexible with regards to the order of events. He handled the cake cutting like a master. I would hire Von again without hesitation and I highly recommend him for any event when a DJ and Master of Ceremonies is needed. -

Exceptional DJ Experience in San Clemente!
We had the pleasure of having DJ Von for our wedding in San Clemente, and he truly exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, his professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to read the crowd made our special day absolutely perfect.
From the initial consultation, Von showed a genuine interest in understanding our musical preferences and the vibe we wanted to create. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early and set up seamlessly, ensuring there were no disruptions to our festivities. As the evening progressed, his ability to gauge the energy of the crowd was impeccable. He effortlessly transitioned between songs, keeping the dance floor alive and the atmosphere electric.
Additionally, Von was not only a fantastic DJ but also a charismatic MC. His announcements were clear, engaging, and added an extra layer of charm to the evening. Professional, Flexible, Pleasant
Von planned in detail with my husband and I a full week beforehand and not only played all our songs (and added appropriate additions of his own), but also shifted very flexibly when we started dinner 15 minutes early or ran 30 minutes late for the first dance. We held our wedding at Topos Mexican Bar and Banquet Facility in Chino, CA. He was essential when we needed to make announcements and tell guests to move on to the next phase of our event. He was also proactive (reached out to US the week before to start planning) and responsive (available over text the couple days leading up to the event). Affordable, professional, LGBT-friendly, and experienced, I highly recommend Von to other couples! -

We hired DJ Von for our wedding at Newport Star Cruises and could not have been any happier. He is very profession, his library of music is very easy to work with and was great as the MC. Great He was very accommodating and it was a really nice wedding
Von was great and very professional. He sent us a contract and basically a playlist selection where we could go in and pick all the songs that we want to add. There were some songs that we’re not on the List and he was very accommodating and found those. He made sure to go through and explain the timing of everything and was able to work quickly on his feet with the flow of the wedding. He was great and I would Definitely recommend him to anyone. -

With Great Music comes a Great Party!
DJ Von was amazing! Our coordinator for the reception at the Huntington Harbor Yacht Club, DeeDee, recommend DJ Von to us and after seeing all his great reviews online I knew we had to book him! I loved working with him and I liked that he got to know me and my husband a bit before the reception. I also really liked using his website to fill in what types of songs we liked or didn't want played. DJ Von was really great at keeping the party going and announcing what came next during the party. We had some really special moments because of him, including announcing us and the wedding party to the Rocky theme music, playing our first song to Papa Roach's No Matter What, playing the bride-father dance to The Way you Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra, playing the Tarantella (the Italian Wedding March song), playing a special song for me and my mom The Beatle's Do You Want to Know a Secret, and our last dance song Heaven by Bryan Adams. I tell you all this to show that DJ Von can play literally any music you're in to! DJ Von and I discussed how we felt that the type of music can really make or break a party so I told him that no matter what just keep the party going and he certainly did! He even played some Michael Jackson music although I never mentioned it specifically because a couple of our guests were dancing MJ style! DJ Von was so good at feeling what the guests were feeling and I am forever grateful for having him at our party and I highly highly recommend him!! I will never get married again but if I did I would book him again in a heartbeat! ^_^ -

Von was amazing!! We are a 25 year old couple who just got married August 2022. I was looking into a few DJs. Von stood out to us. He was present, he wanted this day to be perfect and he made it that way! I feel as if other DJs I talked too, we were just another client. Von made us feel special. He was so responsive too! We would text him at all hours, if I felt anxious, I just texted Von and said "can you talk?" He would say YES! Our wedding music was amazing.... He did the MC for us too. We are so thankful to have found Von. If we have another event, we know who to call!!! -

Von Kept the Party On!
Von worked the wedding reception for my wife and I. He was recommended through the venue, but we would hand-picked him for events moving forwad. Planning and communicating with Von in the lead up was extremely straightforward and easy. This was one of the least worrisome parts of the evening.

DJ Von brought the party to our wedding at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa! Since the beginning, DJ Von was very professional to work with. He was quick to respond to calls & emails & offered us helpful suggestions during the planning process. DJ Von provided access to online planning forms & an extensive database of music that allowed us to easily select songs that we wanted for special moments of the ceremony, first dances, and reception events. We had a wide range of ages at our wedding & he kept the whole crowd entertained. The dance floor was lively & active all night long. I highly & happily recommend DJ Von! -

Von was the best!
We really loved Von. He was so kind and sweet. He fit in so much with everyone multiple people asked me if he was our uncle lol. He was professional and prompt. His website is easy to use and the form he has you fill out is professional. He has an awesome voice and did a really good job with the announcements. We gave him a Playlist and he loved it and made good suggestions for use. He was also able to find the exact versions of songs that we wanted to play. One of the coolest things about our wedding was our niece playing my walk down the isle song. Von was very supportive and helped get her keyboard all hooked up. He is a good man and a good DJ. My new Husband and I hired Dj Von for our wedding on The Yacht Athena, from Electra Cruises. He was amazing and easy to work with. He was able to keep the guests dancing the entire time, and the music was GREAT! He was able to get a feeling for the crowd and find what music everyone would enjoy. -

DJ Von was amazing. He kept our wedding going without a hitch. His website made it easy to pick songs for different parts of the ceremony. I would not have thought of to play certain songs for say the unity sand ceremony or a certain song for the cake cutting. He made this simple and easy and we could not be more happy with our DJ selection. Definitely get the the uplighting. SO worth it. If we are to need a DJ again, this is our go to FOR SURE! What a great night to have a wedding on board the Electra Athena Cruise
DJ Von most certainly added to what turned out to be a successful, memorable and special day! We planned the wedding in only 4 days!! Von helped to expedite the process making planning seamless, considering the short time we had to plan. I personally especially appreciated the ease of planning and submission of wedding songs. Absolutely everything we wanted!
I called Von because my last name starts with Von and I am so happy that coincidence led us to the perfect DJ. We spoke on the phone and I immediately got excited for our reception. Von is so personable and easy to talk to. He answered all my questions and explained how he does things. His online system is the easiest thing in the world to use. We could so easily pick the songs we wanted and select them from his database for each part of the wedding and reception.
Our dance was the most fun I've had at a wedding. Von had one song lead into the next which kept people out on the dance floor the entire night. He picked perfect songs based on our group and everyone loved it. He read the room so well and I was seriously impressed. I decided to do a bouquet toss on the spot and Von got the single ladies song playing :) We got so many compliments from our friends and family about Von.
At the end of the night our wedding coordinator gave us a CD that Von made for us of all the songs from the wedding and the first part of the reception. It is the sweetest thing and I can't wait to play it during our anniversaries.
If you need a DJ, go with Von!!! -

Just amazing!
DJ Von was very easy to work with! We met him at the vendor night from Electra Cruises and signed him up as our DJ. He has an online website where you can add all the songs you want/need. I give DJ Von HUGE props because he was able to get ALL the songs we needed. Our music list consisted of country, reggae, oldies and some modern songs. Our reggae song list and cover bands were very hard to find and most of them were indie bands but DJ Von was able to get them for us! He was also very flexible! I sent my list a little more than two weeks before my wedding and I still made a couple changes the morning of my wedding. -

Von was super easy to work with, had all the songs we wanted for the special moments of the evening and was very flexible in making changes on the fly. We gave him a small list of "must play" songs that he blended perfectly with his own choices to get everyone out on the dance floor and having fun. Our wedding ceremony and reception were both held on the Destiny from Electra Cruises; Von provided the music for both and transitioned seamlessly between the two. DJ Von was the MC for my wedding and my wife and I couldn't be happier. He has a great presence, keeps control over the momentum of the event, and has a great technology platform he uses to help prepare music before the event. DJ Von Stegall truly is the best! He is fun, professional, reliable, goes above and beyond in every way and truly gets the party poppin’!! In 2010, my sister was married and she had the most wonderful wedding largely due to the energy that DJ Von created – both as a DJ extraordinaire and as an emcee. So, when it was my turn to get married in August 2018 – despite the fact several years had passed – I knew more than anything I wanted DJ Von to be my DJ. He was not on my venue’s approved vendor list (we got married at 5 Crowns in Corona Del Mar), but they said if I used a day-of-coordinator who had worked with him and could vouch for him, then they would give the okay. I then asked DJ Von for a day-of-coordinator recommendation. He recommend Karen Kupke – who we used, she vouched for him – and on a side note, she was phenomenally awesome in every way possible, as well. Pre wedding, DJ Von was always responsive and catered to my many custom requests (e.g., providing cuts of our first dance to practice to, customizing instrumentals for a friend’s surprise spoken word to us, etc.) When it was time for the actual wedding, he was there early and fully set up and ready to go. He had supplied an abundance of uplighting which was gorgeous and transformed the venue. He hit every cue for the ceremony and played all we had discussed for the cocktail and dinner hour. But of course, the most important of any wedding is the dancing!! There, DJ Von read the crowd perfectly!! He kept everyone dancing the whole night through and it was the most wonderful night of our lives. I could not say enough rave things about DJ Von. If you want to most stress-free experience and to know you can count on a vendor’s professionalism and ultimate performance – then DJ Von is your guy. We joke that he is our families official DJ for life!!! You should use DJ Von -- he truly is top notch in every way!! Thank you so much, Von. We love you!! -

The DJ did an amazing job! Everything ran smoothly. He played the songs I requested and filled in the gaps with other great choices. He even asked how long we wanted some of the dances, like the mother and groom dance he was able to see when she was getting tired. Any and all announcements where great. His timing was amazing. I think the DJ is very important to the event as it sets the atmosphere. The night was amazing. Thank you so much!!! I would recommend to any bride and groom! -

What a wonderful experience working with DJ Von! With the unexpected changes towards my wedding day, Von was still able to make it to my wedding last minute. He was professional and played all of the songs I requested. He is on point with the music, especially during a song when I (the bride) wanted to walk in at the climax. He made it happen! There was no music skipping, the transition was great. My father wanted him to play an unexpected cultural song and although we had our wedding on the boat (Electra Eternity) with no wifi, Von still managed to play two of the exact songs my father wanted. I highly recommend Von for his DJ service! Thank you Von! You were one of many heroes who not only saved my wedding but made it even more amazing! -

We had our wedding with Electra Cruises on "The Electra" and DJ Von helped make our wedding night incredibly fun and relaxed. He played all of the music we had on our list, along with some that matched the music tastes of others. Before the wedding, he was great at staying in contact with us and discussing how the night would go. He was very professional yet also very fun, making our night incredibly memorable. I would highly recommend him if you are planning a fun, yet still professional, event! -

We got married recently and chose DJ Von to be our Dj. He really paid attention to what we wanted and had a great way with the guests. He is professional and great at what he does. Von was a fantastic addition to our wedding with Electra Cruises aboard the Electra! He is very professional, friendly, and most importantly, he got the party dancing! His website is very intuitive and makes selecting and organizing songs quick and easy. My wife and I are serious music nerds and Von was able to accommodate our eclectic tastes without issue. We provided him with Youtube links to very specific versions of songs as well as mp3's of hard to find music, and he was able to play all of them. He recommended the uplighting for $250 extra, and he was dead on. The lighting makes a huge difference! He helped make our wedding amazing and I would not hesitate for a second to recommend him as your wedding DJ! -

DJ Von was an absolute pleasure to work with! We got married through Electra Cruises on the Athena yacht and he definitely made the process go smoothly. He has an online portal for you to pick songs and basically fill in the blanks for songs (processional, first dance, father/daughter dance, etc). It was so easy to do this and you can search his database and if he doesn't have the song, you can request it in the portal and he'll get it for you.
He was SO QUICK at responding to my emails and had all my requested songs the morning after I had entered them on the website.
On the day of, he had everything down to a T, I never wondered what was going on with the music. The volume was perfect, whether it was dinner or dancing. Everything was just absolutely amazing and he has a great personality too and is great with the microphone and everything. Great job, I'm so glad he was our dj, played the perfect mix of songs for all ages, everybody had a BLAST! I keep getting comments that our wedding was one of the best anyone has ever been to and that wouldn't have been possible without DJ Von. :) -

We spoke with lawn before our event to go over the type of music that we liked for our wedding. he was very courteous and professional and knew right away which songs to suggest when we told him what we liked. On his website also he has a wide variety of music and made it pretty easy to plan the music you want playing throughout the wedding. Our wedding went off without a hitch and a lot of it had to do with von playing the appropriate music at the appropriate time And making announcements and introductions getting names right etc. I would definitely recommend von Steagall and making announcements and introductions getting names right etc. I would definitely recommend Von for DJ at anybody's event. It truly was a pleasure to work with him. -

This was the Best Event Ever !! I requested DVS Mobile DJ Service to provide music and lighting for our Wedding Reception aboard the Electra Cruise Ship in Newport Harbor. DJ Von and his Team were like a well-oiled machine, and the music and lighting were simply perfect. I pre-selected most of the music, and DJ Von took many requests from our Guests ! Von Dj'd my wedding on Athena with Electra Cruise on 1/15/2017. Von was an absolute pleasure to work with. Von was professional, friendly and so much fun! Being a younger couple we were afraid the dj'ing might not play current music or might not be fitting for our crowd. However, I was completely wrong! We initially had a very extensive list we wanted Von to play but after a few songs we told him to toss the list and play whatever he wanted. That was the best decision we made all night! Von knew how to play to our crowd and mixed some older songs my parents generation loved to newer songs my generation loved. He was absolutely amazing, I would use him again and also recommend him to anyone no matter the event. Thanks Von! -

Von was absolutely wonderful to work with for my wedding. He even went above and beyond his duties and helped mesh together a remix of a few songs for a surprise dance I put together for my husband. I'm so happy that we chose Von as our Dj. He had a perfect online set-up that actually made music selection so easy. He allowed me to create a must-play list of songs. And was open to allowing other music to play from our guests. If I could give him a higher rating than 5, I definitely would. Recommend DJ Von to anyone for any event! He was easy to reach, responded quickly, and was flexible to our needs. We had some very specific music requests and he found all of it.
