We had our wedding reception at the DuPont Country Club and it was hands-down the best decision we made. From the start, Kayla was so professional, communicative, and transparent about everything - pricing, packages, etc. We got two beautiful reception rooms for the price of one, and the entire staff was so accommodating to any and all requests that we had! They include so much for the price. Our banquet captain on the day of our wedding, Cathy, was also very professional, paid attention to every detail for us, and was just so caring to make sure that my husband, me, and our families had to worry about literally nothing. I cannot recommend this venue enough. I wish I could re-live the best day of my life 1000x over again!

My daughter got married at the DuPont Country Club this past weekend in November and it was absolutely perfect! The venue, including the surrounding golf course and outdoor space is so beautiful, particularly with the recent upgrades to the indoor space. We worked very closely with Kayla through the planning phase and she was just absolutely wonderful from start to finish, giving "gently" advice and suggestions and assuring everything was flawless. Monica was our event coordinator and she was amazing as well, attending to every detail and proactively reaching out to the vendors to assure everything was perfectly coordinated. All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was, including the appetizers, entrees, desserts and evening station! Every staff member was friendly, helpful and attended to our every request. The day ran perfectly and and my daughter said her wedding was everything she dreamed it to be. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

Me and my husband got married at DuPont in December of last year and it was the best decision we made. The venue itself it just so beautiful (especially decorated for Christmas) we worked very closely with Kayla who was just absolutely wonderful from start to finish, always replying quickly to my many emails with questions and just making sure the whole process was smooth and the whole day went exactly how we wanted it too. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was! Also, Yee was our banquet captain and she couldn’t have been nicer and she made sure the day ran perfectly. I would recommend this venue to anyone , I can’t say enough good things about the venue or the staff! We had a perfect wedding day

We chose DuPont Country Club for both our Wedding Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Reception, and I can’t recommend a better venue for such special occasions. From the beginning, they worked closely with us to create customized menus for each event, making the planning process seamless. Even when we faced some last-minute room layout changes, the team handled everything flawlessly, adjusting within minutes.

DuPont offers a variety of room options depending on your guest count. For our wedding week, we needed a room for 25 people for the rehearsal dinner and another for 70 guests, including a dance floor, for the reception. They had exactly what we needed.

Our guests were especially impressed by the food. The soup at the rehearsal dinner was a hit, and at the wedding, the salmon and risotto received rave reviews. Even our vendors complimented the meal! Since we don’t drink, we were unsure what to do for the toast, but DuPont went above and beyond by providing sparkling cider, honoring our preferences with thoughtful service.

The rooms themselves are stunning, which made decorating a breeze. The overall experience was more than worth the cost.

Having celebrated my Sweet 16 at DuPont nearly two decades ago, hosting my wedding there felt like a full-circle moment. After comparing several venues, DuPont Country Club stood out for offering the perfect blend of elegance and value. We were able to tailor the menu to our taste, and the entire team made sure our day was unforgettable. A huge thank you to everyone at DuPont Country Club!

We had our wedding at the Crystal Ballroom at DuPont Country Club and it was an amazing experience!  We were so impressed with the professionalism of everyone we encountered.  Kayla was so helpful at every step in the process.  Whenever we had any questions she was always available to answer them which was so reassuring during the stressful planning process!  We also loved our day-of coordinator Seve.  He met with us several days before our wedding to confirm all of the details we wanted for the ceremony and reception and he was there all day on our wedding day to help coordinate our other vendors and ensure we had a smooth process.  I can honestly say that I didn't have to worry about a single thing during my wedding morning and got to have a great time getting ready with my bridesmaids!  We were a little nervous booking this venue at first because we had never experienced the caterer's food, but they did not disappoint!  We had so many compliments on the food, and I would highly recommend the crab cakes-they were delicious! The DuPont team handled everything and I don't think we could have asked for a better experience for our wedding.  I would recommend this venue to anyone!

The venue was beyond our expectations, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. A special thanks to Kayla, Yee, and Monica for taking care of us the entire day and weekend!

We planned our wedding at DCC in only 6 months. We could not have done it without the help and support of the Wedding Sales Manager, Kayla! She was always very quick to respond to our emails and she helped guide us through decisions and timelines during the planning process. Kayla and the Banquet Coordinator Rebecca made sure that our day went extremely smoothly. The venue itself is amazing - we were able to use minimal decorations because of how naturally stunning the ballroom is. The atrium was a beautiful place for cocktail hour with a ton of natural light, and the golf course was the perfect spot for our ceremony. The catering Director was very helpful and offered many suggestions which enabled us to make the event very successful. She was very sensitive to special food request. The room was beautifully appointed, the guest really enjoyed the food.

We couldn’t have picked a better venue if we tried! DuPont Country Club is the most gorgeous venue with an amazing staff. The venue was so beautiful that our guests cannot stop talking about the amazing time they had! I couldn’t rave enough about how perfect our wedding was and how amazing the venue is!

We are so happy we got married and had our reception at the DCC! Our ceremony was perfect and our reception was set up beautifully. The staff was helpful during the entire process. Our guests loved the venue!

We had to plan our wedding in the middle of Corona and DuPont Country Club made us feel like everything would work out and be perfect! They kept there word !

DuPont Country Club was amazing, they allowed us to switch out reception to their venue within 3 weeks due to COVID-19 restrictions. The staff was excellent throughout our reception and they decorated the venue just how we wanted. Erin was amazing help coordinating everything and making sure we got all the things we wanted with such short notice.

We had our daughters wedding on 12/7/19. We had a specific vision of what we wanted the day to look like and to walk in the door and see it before you was amazing! Erin was an amazing planner, whenever I had a question, I had an answer back almost immediately. The week before we were there every day dropping things off. The day of the wedding everything we dropped off was in its perfect place as planned! the day of Erin was there also, she is the best!! Paulette and her staff the day of were also amazing, we had so many guests say the staff was fantastic!!! There was nothing I would have changed. Thank you DCC and staff!

Everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect! Our wedding was amazing.

Picking out a venue is no joke! We had a big guest list at first and were looking at pretty large reception places and found it hard to pick. When we walked into DCC we immediately knew that this was "the one". We loved the crystal ballroom as it had such a classic look! We utilized the upper and lower terrace as well for our wedding. For our big night the room was beautiful, the bartenders were great, and the food was delicious. We also loved how you could be inside or outdoors (it was a gorgeous fall day and our guests were able to play cornhole!). Diane was a pleasure to work with. Harry was our maitre d that evening and was phenomenal! The only thing that could be better would be that the chivari chairs are part of the wedding package (rather than a big upgrade) as they were standard at almost every other venue we looked at.

I had a great experience with DuPont country club! They helped me out with all of my planning and made my day go as smooth as I hoped it would be! The food was amazing and Diane was amazing and helpful as well!

We had an absolute fairytale wedding reception at the DuPont Country Club. Diana and Harry saw to every detail and stayed with us through the entire night to make sure everything went perfectly. My husband and I are so pleased that we choose to have our wedding at the DuPont Country Club. The food and service was excellent and all of our guests said they had a great night! The ballroom was set up beautifully and exceeded my expectations. Diane McClosky was superb during the planning process and all the way through our wedding day. She was attentive and helpful, and ensured that my wedding vision was achieved.

Diane and Mary were extremely professional and helpful in making our wedding day so special and made sure everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end! They understood my vision completely & followed through on everything!

We had a lovely wedding here with our daughter and son in law--they were fabulous to work with, very attentive to detail, extremely helpful with all aspects of the planning. The food was delicious and the service the evening of the wedding was superb!! Would highly recommend this venue.

My daughter's wedding reception was held at the DuPont Country Club on 5/27/18 and we couldn't be more pleased.
Diane, the event coordinator, was extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, and very responsive.
Harry, our captain, was wonderful, a total professional, and made everything run so smoothly. I mentioned that the up-lighting looked a bit green instead of amber and he was on it in a second and had the lighting adjusted.
The ballroom looked gorgeous with the black linens. The floral arrangements from Sweet Peas of Jennersville were amazing. The candles in the fireplace and the grouping of chairs was a great touch.
We received tons of compliments on the food and I quote - the steaks were cooked to perfection - the crab cakes were the best they had ever eaten - the milk chocolate creme brulee was to die for. The waiters were extremely pleasant and very efficient.
A number of people said it was the best or one of the best receptions they'd ever been to. Thank you for making my daughter's special day unforgettable!

Diane and the staff at DuPont Country Club were absolutely wonderful to work with as we planned our wedding. Diane was beyond responsive with dozens of emails over the year we planned and was helpful with every little problem that came up and gave suggestions that were extremely helpful. The venue itself was beautiful and the night of our wedding everything was set up beautifully and exactly as planned. The night went without issues and everything was so perfect! Guests said it was the best food at a wedding they had ever have with quick and lovely service. The DuPont Country Club was an absolute dream to have our wedding and we couldn't have been happier! The DuPont Country Club was a great venue for our wedding. Diane the event planner, was on top of everything and made the planning process seamless. Everyone on the night of the event was very professional. The food was spectacular and the evening was a huge success.

We had our wedding at Hotel Dupont in November of this year. I looked at the venue because my parents got married there over 30 years ago, but I chose the venue when I saw the gold ballroom and immediately started crying. I expected to cry at other points in the wedding planning process but not when I just took a peek at the reception venue. If you want a fairytale, surreal, out-of-this-world wedding experience, you cannot beat the Hotel Dupont. It was magical in every way. When you enter the ballroom, you feel like you traveled to a totally different time and place. I'll never forget the feeling I had when my husband and I got our "first look" of the ballroom before any of our guests had seen it. It was more exquisite than anything I'd ever seen. Other ways Dupont made it a magical weekend: they were FABULOUS to us and our wedding guests. Everyone from the valet to concierge to staff congratulated me as soon as I showed up for the weekend's festivities. The rooms are awesome; all of our guests were raving about them. The lobby area is just magnificent. The food is absolutely incredible. They give you so, so much between hors d'oeuvres and your courses and desserts (must do flambe). Our coordinator, Markie, is absolutely delightful. She's sweet, charismatic, accommodating, CALM (which is huge!), and fun. Markie was great throughout the whole planning process, including package selection, signature cocktail, cake selection, coordination among vendors, etc. A note about our signature cocktail: I had a very specific vision in mind to honor my grandmother with our signature cocktail. I had been warned it might not be able to happen, but Markie got right on it and worked with their bar manager to find a delicious cocktail. Every little detail and special touch was spot on and fantastic. Since we can't recreate the whole party each yr, we're at least planning to go back for anniversaries so we can be back at the scene and feel some of the magic Dupont gave us that day.

This is such a wonderful place to have a wedding. The staff is absolutely amazing and so helpful throughout the whole process. The food is incredible and the venue is BEAUTIFUL. I had my wedding at the hotel dupont and when guests walked into the reception in the Gold Ballroom, I was told they all stopped to because it was so breathtakingly beautiful!! Even after all the weddings I have attended in the past two years, if I had to do it all again, I would have my wedding here again!!

I'm planning my wedding reception at the DuPont Country Club. It's so beautiful, my fiancé and I fell in love with the venue as soon as we arrived! The staff with planning the reception are so helpful and flexible.

I had my wedding at the DuPont Country Club last month and everything was perfect! Harry and Lindsey were very professional and made me feel like I didn't have to worry about a thing!

I can't say enough good things about my beloved DuPont Country Club!! It was the perfect venue for our wedding and reception on 5/3. The service is beyond measure, the food is outstanding and the venue itself is simply gorgeous. We could not have been happier with how our big day turned out.

I worked with Katie Messner through my planning process and I just don't have the words to express how amazing she was to work with. I had so many little details incorporated into our wedding and my list of questions was never ending. Katie was always prompt with email and phone responses and was the epitome of professionalism. She was so patient with all my questions and special requests. I felt like she was excited about my wedding too! I really looked forward to meeting with and talking to Katie - she was a big part of my wedding planning and I miss her already!

Our day of captain was Jim Illing who was just outstanding. Jim ensured everything went according to plan and was an absolute dream to work with. He is a true professional and skilled at what he does. At the time of my wedding my Mom was having an issue with her foot that made walking less than enjoyable to say the least. Jim arranged for a wheelchair for my mom to get from our dressing room to where we waited for the ceremony to begin. Just a real gentleman and kind individual.

I could go on and on but I think what your guests say about your wedding is the true test. We have received so many compliments, so many friends and family members saying it was the best wedding they were ever at :). I could not have been happier on my wedding day - it was pitch perfect from beginning to end and I owe a lot of thanks to DCC for making it such a success.

I highly recommend any of the DuPont properties. You will not be disappointed!

My daughter's Engagement Party at Brantwynne, the Wedding Shower at the duPont CC and the Wedding Reception at the Hotel duPont could not have been any more delightful! Everything discussed was accomplished to perfection!!! Who could ask for anything more! Our Wedding Planner Kim at the Hotel du Pont was exquisite! She attended to every detail and was accomidating beyound our expectations! The Gold Ballroom was Regal and Breathtaking! Everything was set as we had discussed and when anything was needed, all we had to do was make that known and it was immediately accomplished. We could not have been happier at the end of the night! The day went by too fast is our only regret! It is with extreme pleasure and appreciation for their services that I would recommend the Hotel duPont to anyone looking to plan an "Evening of Perfection to Remember for a Lifetime!

I am so glad we had our wedding at the DuPont Country Club! The venue itself is beautiful, and I was blown away by the people, the food, and the service. The managers and staff were always patient and accommodating, which was a huge help since my husband and I live out of town and have fairly busy schedules. The chef worked with my food allergies (and my sister’s) to make slightly revised versions of the wedding day food for us; it was DELICIOUS! And our guests said the same! The whole evening went smoothly and my husband and I, our parents, and our guests were able to just relax and enjoy it. Thanks to the DuPont Country Club, and all of its managers and employees for all of their hard work to make our wedding reception so special! What a wonderful night! :D

Our wedding reception was at the Dupont Country Club. We had an amazing time, everything was put together so nice. Our wedding took place during Hurricane Irene and the staff was very helpful with working thru it. We have received many compliments from guests on how great and fun our reception was!!

Who knew that a beautiful, elegant and fairytale like venue existed in Delaware? I LOVED the DuPont. My guests raved about the 5 star rooms, the delicious wedding cake and about the service in general. My wedding consultant, Kim Mackin was amazing. She guided me in making the right decisions from the small details of how many tealight candles to the big one of organizing my rehearsal dinner. The DuPont is a treasure tucked away in the heart of Wilmington. It is a magical venue that will make you're wedding a day to remember. I'm a married woman of 40 days and people are still raving about my wedding. Most important, they're thanking me for introducing them to the Hotel--many are making their way back to Wilmington just to enjoy a weekend get-away.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at DPCC and it was great!
We had 250+ guests and the staff ran the event smoothly and efficiently.
Our on site coordinator was very detail oriented and professional, she ensured everyone had what they needed and that our guests were happy.
The staff was friendly and efficient, our guests are still saying positive things about the food, service staff and bartenders.
In the planning phase, our sales manager was flexible with us and highly responsive.
All in all, it was worth the money spent, we are really happy we chose this venue!

The DuPont Country Club staff were very helpful and accommodating to multiple requests and issues with monsoon rains! They were very attentive to correcting any issues we encountered during the reception. Food and service were excellent! They were also
very attentive to the bride and groom and their families. The quality of the food, appetizers thru desserts was excellent.

After looking at the other two DuPont venues (the Hotel and the Country Club) as well as countless venues in England where we live, we picked Brantwyn and were so happy with the outcome. The place is beautiful enough that it didn't need any over the top decorations which was great for our budget, and felt so classy with the simple touches of flowers (which we reused from the ceremony), framed pictures, and the candles that they provided. With our numbers, it made sense to go with a package, for what we paid it included open bar, a fantastic meal and h'ordeovures, a delicious and beautiful cake, as well as below half price rooms at the Hotel DuPont which everyone said was one of the most luxurious hotels we have ever stayed in...I know it was for me, especially the Bridal Suite!
Jenna was our coordinator and was so great on email (especially since I was only able to meet with her in person once living so far away!) and answered every question I asked and provided great guidance. Our wedding captain, Harry, was good as well, and while there were certain things that happened on the wedding day (bad weather, spending too much time with guests and not enough with each other) that would have been great to have a contingency plan for, he made sure that nearly everything was executed like we wanted to. For instance, when Buker Limo abandoned our bridal party at the church and we had to start 45 minutes late, they let us dance for two more songs past our contracted time that were really important to us.
Finally, we felt especially lucky to have chosen this venue as it poured rain on our wedding day, and we had this whole historic home with unique rooms to explore ourselves...I know that weather would have had a greater impact in a traditional venue with one large room and a dance floor in the middle. I would definitely recommend Brantwyn for any bride expecting between 75 and 125 guests. It was just lovely :)

I really wanted to have my fairytale wedding in a mansion to fit my castle vision. None of the mansions felt right. When I went to DuPont country club they had that old time feel with a grand ballroom. It was perfect for a fairytale wedding. The staff here was incredible. I had a lot of questions and they always responded quickly. The food was really good as well! All my guests had a great time!

Nothing compares to the timeless elegance of the DuPont Country Club. Beautiful golf course grounds, complimented by an elegant ballroom with huge chaneliers. Great reputation of quality and have been around a long time. My parents had their reception there 40 years and it is still just as beautiful today. While all country club wedding receptions are very pricey, the DuPont Country Club provides more reasonable options than most, if not all other country clubs in Delaware.

We had great service and help during our experiences with DuPont Country Club. The team was very informative and very responsive to our wishes. They set up the ballroom so nicely! Everything was gorgous!

This is a difficult review to write as we switched wedding coordinators half way through the planning process. Our 1st planner failed to provide basic details for our event - bathroom locations, bridal room amenities, hotel rooms, linen sizes, parking quotations and the biggest failure - she didn't explain how 2 weddings could coexist with shared common spaces. We contacted the manager who disgruntledly switched our coordinator to Kim who was FABULOUS to work with moving forward but sadly the damage was done by the 1st coordinator. We could not get over 5 months of planning difficulties & brought our concerns all the way to the DuPont's overall GM where we were met with hostility & rudeness. With exception of Kim, you can expect an air of arrogance and self proposed importance from everyone with a "title".

The hotel itself is beautiful, all of the rooms to include the bridal party suites, banquet rooms, bars & restaurants are beautifully appointed. The wedding food & service was exceptional!

Let downs:
The hotel bar's extremely limited hours. W/ 2 weddings going on simultaneously,oddly, it was only open until 11:00 pm on Thur & 1:00 am on Fri and not open at all during the day until 4. We were all relegated to roomservice.

Check in was easy but be prepared for the hotel to freeze excessive amounts on your credit card. We had 7 rooms reserved at $159/night each.The hotel froze $598 per room on my card. Bizarre!

The Green Room; terrible service; terrible breakfast.

We had 30 rooms reserved & 27 were used. 5 couples stayed elsewhere as reservations were EXTREMELY difficult to make. The majority of guests that did stay were given the runaround as to what the rate was & what kind of room they could expect. Despite me personally calling to get things straight it continued as an obstacle for our guests.

We can honestly say if Kim had been our coordinator to start things would have been better. She is a true GEM!
