  1000000000/10 would recommend!!

  I absolutely LOVED everything about this venue. First, I love that because it is a nature/education center first, the proceeds from the wedding go back into education and conservation. Second, Madhav, the coordinator I worked with, was so wonderful. He was incredibly supportive, communicative, and had great suggestions that really made the big day go smoothly. Third, if you want the feel of the outdoors and being surrounded by nature without driving an hour outside the city, this is the place. The grounds are beautifully kept without feeling overly landscaped, and the facilities were clean. Fourth, even though it is a park, the event felt very private. Fifth, it was amazing that there was plenty of parking! That's SO hard to find in the city. Sixth, the vendor flexibility was a HUGE help as far as keeping options open.
  
  I could go on and on, but needless to say, I loved everything about Dunwoody Nature Center, and 1000000/10 would recommend it to anyone!

  Our dream day!!

  I knew that Dunwoody Nature Center was going to be perfect the minute I walked in but Madhav and his team exceeded our expectations!! Our wedding day was 9 years in the making and everything we dreamed of. They assisted with the entire process and our day was nothing short of magical.

  A tranquil wedding venue that’s great for kids

  We loved working with Madhav Dave, rentals coordinator at the Dunwoody Nature Center! When COVID-19 hit, we scaled our original 100+ guest plan down to just 20 guests. Madhav kindly adjusted plans to fit our needs. He worked with our wedding planner to ensure that tables, chairs and signs were set up on the day-of according to plan. The venue was perfect for our families, offering a lush space with multiple backdrops (perfect for photos), a gorgeous indoor space (both pavilion and porch) and multiple places for our guests’ children to play. We’d definitely recommend Dunwoody as a wedding venue for those that want a taste of nature on their big day.

  Gorgeous Woods and Greenery!

  The Dunwoody Nature Center is one of my favorite places and I loved having my wedding here. The woods made a beautiful backdrop for photos. The staff were all wonderful and Delaney worked so hard to make my day perfect!

  Beautiful place but be careful for the security deposit

  I loved the place since the first moment I saw it. That was the idea of where I was my wedding to be.
  At the beginning everything was show to us amazing so we accepted it.
  Small details start appearing but we were flexible accepting the rules that they didn’t tell us from the begging.
  We were also managing the rental, decoration, etc the night before with the time we had and the lack of flexibility they offer.
  2 days before our big day Abigail told us that the place was rented the morning after, knowing thst our wedding was in the afternoon. So we have to finish the celebration at 10pm that way so friends and family had to help us to clean THE SAME NIGHT. The kick us out at 11pm, so we had to finish the wedding before, clean the most we can and come back very early the next day (me and my husband) to pick up the last stuffs, she was there, looking mad without telling us ANYTHING.
  Even we had to come back like 3 times to pick up lights because we write and call and nobody pick up.
  And at the end, surprise, they didn’t gave us or $500 security deposit back! We did not break anything, we take care if everything as much as we could. she gave us the instructions to leave the garbage in the containers and we did, and because it was extra garbage next to the containers (because it was full obviously) she got mad and apparently that and a light rice and bird food on the ground cost us $500!
  I’m heart broken because adding extra stress and algo keeping our deposit makes the day before, the night after the wedding and the day after a really painful and unfair feeling.

  Hi Monica! Thank you for the review. We agree, our venue is beautiful and all of our policies are in place in order to keep it that way!
  
  The contract clearly states the hours of your rental, and you signed it knowing that those hours are pack in to pack out. Our rentals manager was flexible with giving you time the night before and the next day, outside of your contract, for extra set up and clean up. She did let you know this would incur an additional fee, as is standard at many venues. We are not required to disclose any other events or rentals happening in the space beyond yours - and we are often fully booked on weekends especially at this time of year!
  
  We have gone over in detail via email exactly why we had to keep your deposit, so we won't go into it here. Our sincerest apologies that this situation has caused you stress. We do appreciate you hosting your event at the Nature Center and hope you will come back to visit us in the future.

  Look elsewhere!

  We rented the porch, main building and kitchen for an engagement party for 50 people. Upon our arrival to decorate, the tables were not even set out for us. We had to go get them ourselves and set them up! There was random junk left on the porch and in the building we had clean up to set up our decor and food. There was even a bucket of dirty on the counter in the kitchen where we were supposed to have our food. My recommendation is to look elsewhere!

  Hi Maria, Thank you for hosting your event at the Dunwoody Nature Center! We apologize that your experience was less than satisfactory. We do have a cleaning and set up crew who are supposed to prepare the space before the event. I can assure you that we will be looking into why this wasn't done for you. We are a non profit organization who hosts many programs, classes, and camps on the sunporch, and occasionally multiple events happen on the same day. Our kitchen in the main building is NOT a catering kitchen, it is mainly used as a class prep space and staff kitchen, so we apologize for our unsightly compost bucket that you are referring to.
  
  We recommend the North Woods Pavilion to anyone looking for a more traditional event space with a dedicated catering kitchen. Again, we apologize that you had a negative experience and hope that you will visit the Dunwoody Nature Center again in the future.

  Worst experience

  Development & Rentals Manager, we discussed the date of our wedding ceremony, we even contacted him 2 weeks before the wedding to make sure our date was secure, since it was for our wedding ceremony a very important celebration. Long story short we went a day before with our wedding coordinator to make sure he knew where to set up for the ceremony and how to decorate, Madhav told us we can’t have our wedding ceremony there because he already rented the space for another wedding; this man didn’t care that we sent invitations out and we didn’t have any other place to host our ceremony , he didn’t even apologize or give us another solution. as a bride I was so in shock at how unprofessional, rude and careless he was about It.
