Had everyone dancing all night long!

Andrew at Dub C DJs is so chill and professional - our coordinator remarked on how on top of everything he was, and it really helped the evening go smoothly. Andrew was an excellent MC, keeping the night running on time with no stress or confusion. His DJ skills are unparalleled; he had everyone dancing the entire evening, and we had lots of great comments from friends and family alike about how much fun they had on the dance floor! Highly recommend this amazing team!

Highly Recommend

Tony and Dub C DJs were a pleasure to work with. We went with Tony (our DJ) and Dub C DJs in part because of their experience mixing American and Indian music, and we were not disappointed. Tony and Andrew spent time getting to know our taste in music, offered helpful advice on music for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, and were overall very easy to work with. We were very happy with the music on the day of our wedding. Tony did a great job mixing Indian and American music, and making sure everyone got on the dance floor! We highly recommend Tony and Dub C DJs.

Great Experience!

We had a really great experience with Andrew, who we were working with at Dub C, and then Tamra, our DJ on the day-of. They were very patient with us as we did two phone calls with them to ask questions, carefully outline what we wanted, and go over our red flags. We were very appreciative of their responsiveness! Day of, we ended up having a few showers (our wedding was in a tent outside), which I can only imagine wasn't the easiest place for Tamra to be setting everything up, but she was an awesome sport and guided us through everything with a smile on her face. Highly recommend!

Pleasant and easy to work with

Dub C DJ's were the easiest of the vendors I used at my wedding. Andrew was on top of things, prompt, well-organized, and personable. He put up with my zany requests and made our wedding special.

Best DJ in the DC area!

If you hire Dub C DJs, you will not be disappointed. We hired them to DJ our wedding, and they absolutely killed it! They are professional, cost effective, and organized. They also know exactly how to read the party and play all the right songs to keep people on the dance floor. 10/10 would recommend!

It took us awhile to choose a DJ, and in the end I am so glad we went with Dub C DJs. Andrew was responsive and great to work with. He gave us song suggestions and helped us plan the timeline for the evening. Tamara was our DJ that day and she did an amazing job. We had sent her suggestions for Armenian songs, as well as our "must play" and "don't play" lists, and she did a great job of hitting all the things we most wanted and weaving the American and Armenian songs together to keep everyone dancing all night. She read the room perfectly and adjusted accordingly throughout. Both sides of the family danced to everything the whole evening! Music was really important to us when planning our wedding, and Dub C DJs delivered perfectly.

Tamara was awesome! Andrew and her asked for my preferences in music and boy did they deliver. Tamara kept the crowd dancing and she read them perfectly. I would highly recommend them for your reception or party. We had a blast. Tamara was seriously intuitive to the crowd and played great music. She was dancing, enthusiastic, and she clearly enjoyed her job. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

We had a great experience with Dub C! Andrew was very helpful with the planning process, and was super flexible when we decided to add DJ services for our ceremony just two weeks before the wedding. Even more impressive, he had no problem when we decided to keep our plans for an outdoor ceremony despite a nice drizzle of rain - he bundled his equipment in plastic and set up shop under a patio umbrella and never skipped a beat. Our reception was an absolute blast - he kept our smallish party (70 guests) going strong all night with no lulls in the dancing.

Dub C DJs got all our wedding guests onto the dance floor the whole night. We loved their service and highly recommend them. Andrew worked our wedding and was phenomenal. Months before the wedding we had a phone interview to go over all things music about the wedding. Andrew immediately picked up on the atmosphere we were looking for him to create, and delivered perfectly on the wedding day. Not only were the song choices spot on, but we had already set the itinerary, with some input from Andrew, and he kept the evening on schedule. From the beginning of the process until the end, Andrew was professional, courteous, generous with his time, and really made us feel comfortable with him as DJ. He was wonderful to work with. We loved Dub C DJs and were completely happy with our choice.

Andrew and Tamara were fantastic! The planning phone calls were well organized and put us both at ease from the beginning that we would be in great hands. The day of the wedding, it rained and Tamara had to be flexible- and it worked out wonderfully! All of our guests complimented the music and said what a great job Tamara did. Highly recommended! We had a great experience with Dub C DJs. Andrew was very accommodating and easy to work with while figuring out the details, and Tony was a great DJ the day/night of. We had ceremony and reception. The music for dancing was perfect and Tony set up and tore everything down seamlessly. Dub C DJ's planning questionnaire was very thorough and worked well with our day-of planner's guide. A great price especially given the quality of service.

Tony provided a great experience and I have nothing but good things to say about him and DubCDJ's. They even provided additional speakers for our second floor, as well as up-lighting. I would book them all over again if I could!

Andrew, the president and co-founder of Dub C DJs, did an amazing job at pairing us with the DJ that suited our exact needs. Andrew was very responsive with emails and held multiple phone conferences to make sure we had everything we needed for our big day. Andrew had warned us that our timeline seemed a little long for the amount of dance time we had scheduled but Tony did an AMAZING job of mixing Motown, current top 40 and Latin music and had the dance floor packed the entire night. We honestly could have kept the party going for another hour or two. All of our guests raved about how much fun they had on the dance floor and we couldn't have done it without Andrew and Tony. Thanks guys! Dub C DJs is highly recommended!

Dub C DJs made our wedding the party of our lifetimes! Drew was our DJ and he drips with charisma and fun. Wherever he is, the party is! Drew started by doing the sound for our ceremony. It was outside by a pond and he perfectly set up the mics and sound system so that all our guests could hear everything, even over the frogs ribbetting nearby! We talked about a plan of mic location and order of events beforehand, but after that he took care of everything. He worked seamlessly with our wedding planner and when we showed up everything was set and worked perfectly.
Then the reception: WOW! He took great care to make the announcements we asked for and then he made a few others over the course of the night that were so helpful (when the shuttles were leaving, where the photo booth was, etc) and each time they were accurate and clever. He made everyone smile all night!
We even had a kind of crazy idea for our first dance and he nailed it! We didn't really want to pick a first dance song, so we decided we would take suggestions from the audience on the spot for a slow song and a fast song for us to dance to for our first dance. Drew was able to pull up those songs on the fly, perfectly transitioning from one to other, and then got everyone immediately on the dance floor with us after we embarrassed ourselves adequately. Not your normal DJ request, but Drew embraced it with enthusiasm and executed it with flair.
Drew kept the dance floor packed and brought an energy and personality that any couple would dream for in their wedding DJ. We worked with Andrew as well for coordination and he was a real pleasure to work with -- professional, precise and so friendly. This organization is top notch and we are so grateful they were part of our special day. Thank you, Dub C DJs!

Dub C DJs did an amazing job for our wedding reception! Many of our guests told us afterwards what a great time they had on the dance floor. We really wanted our dance music to be a throwback to the greatest hits of our high school and college years (late 90s and early 00s) with some classics thrown in for the older crowd, and Tony (our DJ) nailed it. The dance floor was packed the entire night! It was also great to work with Andrew on the logistics, since he was very organized and responsive. And generally, both Andrew and Tony are really nice guys who seemed to get us and our musical tastes. Overall, I definitely recommend Dub C DJs for your wedding reception needs!

If you want an unforgettable wedding, go with Dub C DJs. From the amplification of my ceremony to the last song, Dub C DJs customized our wedding and made it ours. Andrew was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly communicative and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make certain every song captured each moment perfectly. Our wedding reception was a PARTY. I've never seen so much dancing at a wedding before. It was a blast. I would highly recommend Dub C DJs!!!

We are so happy that we chose Dub C DJs for our wedding! They were extremely professional and very reasonably priced compared to other DJs we found. Tony was absolutely amazing! He was extremely easy to work with and very helpful during the planning process. We had him play music for our ceremony and reception. He perfectly selected music to reflect the atmosphere and appeal to our guests. Our dance floor was FULL the entire time thanks to Tony!

Dub C DJ's were awesome to work with. We got in touch with Andrew, who connected us with Tony on the team. We all connected by phone several times to talk through the details - which helped a lot in organizing the day. Tony was onsite and all was great - he read the crowd really well and kept things going! We had 2 floors with 2 different playlists, and everything went very smoothly. Definitely get in touch with this crew - they're easy to work with, really friendly and professional, and do a great job.

We just clicked right away with Andrew and Tamara right away when we met them at a wedding expo. They were beyond flexible and graciously accommodated my very LONG list of requests. Every interaction was very pleasant, professional, and positive. Some of my guests even included the music, in their list of things they most liked about our wedding. Our wedding DJ was Tony and he did a wonderful job. We had very specific music requests and a complicated venue (multiple setups, including the ceremony). Throughout the process of pre-event planning both Andrew and Tony were available to address our questions and concerns quickly and thoroughly. They also coordinated directly with our wedding coordinator, which made things simpler on our end. The day of the event Tony arrived on-time, was able to make a last minute adjustment due to a weather-related change in location, and remained extremely professional while coordinating with our planner and the venue staff. Additionally, Tony got the entire crowd dancing--a tall order considering we had a fairly wide age-range attending the wedding. Really enjoyed working with Dub C and would refer them to friends and family in a heartbeat.

Tamara DJ'ed our wedding and we LOVED her! The dance party was fantastic and she really knew how to tailor the tunes to our crowd. The pre-event planning process was very easy and Tamara and Andrew were extremely responsive to our questions and guided us through the process. Highly recommend!!

Our experience with Fernando and Dub C DJs could not have been better. Packed dance floor all night. They bring a really great sound system to the event and the music sounded so crisp and clear. I've been to a lot of weddings with my now spouse, but Fernando was by far the best DJ we've encountered and a lot of the guests at our wedding made the same remark. Dub C DJs is definitely not the cheapest on the market, but they were well worth the price.

We used Dub C DJs for our wedding this past summer. Drew was our DJ and to say that he was good would be an understatement. The one requirement we had for our wedding was that we wanted people on the dance floor the entire time. And sure enough, Drew delivered and he worked the crowed. People were having such a great time and didn't want to stop dancing that we even extended the end time by an extra hour. Can't recommend highly enough.

Our event was ultimately postponed, so I cannot comment on the dee-jaying of Dub C DJs. However, my fiance and I couldn't have been more pleased with the excellent communication, organizational, and event planning expertise that Andrew and the Dub C DJ team brought during the planning process.

We originally planned on doing a DIY iPhone playlist with rental speakers. After reading great reviews of Dub C DJs, and observing their very reasonable price-point, we opted to choose them as a DJ. During our first call with Andrew, it was clear that he was committed to creating a dance environment that aligns with our vision, and makes us happy.

During follow-on planning e-mails (and one phone call), Andrew helpfully raised important questions that we hadn't considered. This not only solidified his expertise, but also made us feel more prepared and confident that the dance reception would go off without a hitch

Dub C DJs know music- my fiancé is a huge music fiend and he met his match with Dub C DJs! Dub C DJs did an excellent job providing the music at our September 2015 wedding reception. My fiancé booked them less than a month out and they worked with him to create the perfect playlist. The playlist was phenomenal- perfect music for the cocktail hour and dinner and then once the dance floor opened, no one wanted to stop at the end of the night! I know I didn't! They were super flexible with a Polish family tradition- the dollar dance- and the DJ worked with my girlfriends to do a special song for me. We had a wonderful experience with Dub C DJs and even invited the DJ to the after-reception bar. We had a blast! Very reasonable cost and very professional to work with.

We got married at 11 am on a Sunday. Our biggest fear was that nobody would want to dance. Daytime weddings, we worried, just don't have the same energy as nighttime ones. Tony and Andrew listened to all our concerns in the pre-event consultation and gave us the kind of party we really wanted. The music fit our style, the dance floor was full, and everyone danced their hearts out. They provided the sound system for our entire day, including the ceremony and cocktail hour. Our day-of-planner was even impressed by how thorough and thoughtful their event plan was. I would recommend them to any couple wants to work with great people and have the right mood and music for their wedding day!

We chose Dub-C DJs due to their fixed pricing model, responsiveness, and direct and helpful feedback during the vetting process. However, their execution of our event was flawless. DJ Tony is very skilled in mixing songs, and was able to blend our song preferences with the vibe of the crowd. He was also flexible in staying for a few extra songs at no charge. It really turned out to be a party, and Tony was a big part of that.

We had the best experience with Dub C DJs! Andrew, the owner, and Tamara, our DJ, were so easy to schedule conversations with, and really listened to what my husband and I wanted for our reception. Tamara was a great DJ, and we're still hearing from guests about how much they loved her playlist. We were really impressed specifically by how well she read and maintained the energy of our crowd. Drew from Dub C DJ's was our wedding DJ, and many of our guests said he was the best DJ they'd ever seen, raving about him for days after. He had a great mix of music that pleased young and old, and was a fantastic MC for the evening keeping people laughing and attentive. There were many people who didn't leave the dance floor for hours. Dub C also has a great lighting system that really helps bump the party up a notch. I highly recommend this company, they will make sure your special event is perfect!

Can't say enough good things about these guys. Our biggest concern going in was ensuring that the DJ would be on-board with playing lots of Latin jazz, Brazilian bossa nova, world music and American soul. Tony Fowler (the DJ provided to us by Dub C DJs) was not only very knowledgeable about these genres, but also clearly enthusiastic about putting together a playlist that satisfied our interests. Andrew (director of Dub C DJs) was super-friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend these guys and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Andrew DJ-ed our wedding in October 2014, and he was great! Prior to our wedding, he met with me and my fiance to go over our plans for the wedding and reception, musical tastes and preferences, etc. He was very accommodating to what we wanted, but he also made great recommendations regarding the ceremony, cocktail hour music, lights, microphones and the reception music. Andrew provided music for the entire evening, including before the ceremony, during the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception (including dinner and dancing). His music was spot on and everybody loved it! People noticed and commented on how cool the music was during cocktail hour, and everybody was dancing until the last song of the reception. Everything ran so smoothly, it was the perfect evening! Thank you, Dub C DJs!

It was great working with Andrew (and Tamara who assisted him on the day of the event). Andrew was always quick to get back to us if we had any questions or concerns and he suggested a nearby place that was convenient for us for our first meeting. Andrew was friendly, easy to talk with, and very much wanted to know how we wanted the style of our wedding music. He made it clear from the beginning that it was our wedding and he wanted to do things the way we wanted them done, but he was able to make suggestions and guide us where we needed. Andrew was very organized, took lots of notes, and was very detailed. We were able to provide a song list to him with our must-plays and favorites categorized by genre that he could choose from during cocktail, dinner, dancing, etc. but would still give him the flexibility as a DJ to play tunes at the right time to keep up the ambiance and crowd dancing. On the day of the event, Andrew and Tamara were flexible with schedule and event flow changes on the fly and would touch base with us or our bridal party throughout the evening about any changes. Dancing at the wedding was very important to us and we had a lot of fun on the dance floor and so did our guests. Over all, we are VERY happy with Andrew and his team and would highly recommend Dub C DJs.

Awesome, awesome DJ. Andrew totally got what we were going for in our wedding reception (everybody dancing crazy) and how to get there (mostly pop and hip hop, with some classics thrown in for our older guests). He listened to our ideas and provided great advice in planning (for example, gently encouraging us to do a first dance even though it seemed totally mortifying, because it would help our guests transition to dance time; he was right). Andrew also coordinated with our ceremony musicians, and made sure the sound during the ceremony, and for toasts, went smoothly. Flexible and easy to work with, and incredible value, to boot. Can't say enough good stuff!

Andrew and Tony (our DJ for the evening) were both extremely communicative prior to our wedding and offered very helpful suggestions regarding the flow of the reception. Tony did a great job of fielding requests and transitioning from older songs to more current dance songs towards the end of our reception. We would definitely recommend Dub C DJs! We really appreciated the input during the planning phase, professional preparation, and ability to adapt to guest preferences, all of which were critical to making the entire event an experience that guests continue to rave about!

We had a difficult mix of folks to motivate, but Dub C Djs found a way to get them on the dance floor and keep them there... even a little longer than we originally scheduled!

If we had the chance to do it all again, we would not hesitate to work with Dub C DJs!

Andrew was great to work with! He was very responsive and made everything so easy. Having great music that people could dance to was one of my top priorities for the wedding, and Andrew delivered. The dance floor was never empty! He played all of my "must have" songs and used my recommended playlist to keep the party going. He was very professional, on time, and just fun to work with.

A lot of people have told me that it was one of the most fun weddings they've been to, and I think I have Andrew to thank for that!

Dub C DJs was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with DJ Dub C as our wedding DJ at the Torpedo Factory Arts Center in Alexandria. He was easy to work with. Set up was smooth, as was coordination with our other vendors (caterer and a lighting company who often works with that venue). Everything sounded great. We gave him a list of suggested songs and no-play list which he then adapted to mix in some crowd pleasers. Our guests had a blast.

Rave reviews all around for Dub C DJs and Andrew Satten. My wedding was at Top of the Town which has a great view of the monuments and the DC skyline. Andrew had worked there before and was familiar with the venue’s layout and procedures which helped to ensure that everything went smoothly. Andrew kept the reception hour classy - with everyone able to talk and hear each other, and his dance music later on kep everyone on their feed. My wife is Indian and he did a great job of integrating Indian music into the playlist (including a last-minute addition from friends who choreographed a dance).

I'm happy to recommend Dub C DJs to anyone looking for a top-notch DJ for whatever function they're having.

Everything you would want in a DJ!! Listened and followed through with all my requests. Made the announcements and wedding party intros flawlessly. Competitively priced. The music was perfect during dinner and then dancing- my guests were on their feet dancing all night! All my guests told me afterwards how much fun they had and it was one of the best weddings they've been to in a long time- I contribute this to my DJ and the music as it sets the tone and keeps the party alive. Andrew was the DJ for mine and my husbands wedding and we couldn't have chosen better. He was extremely attentive of the crowd and was able to keep the dancing going nonstop by choosing appropriate songs. He was able to gauge that the crowd didn't need to be encouraged through talking and distraction---just kept the music playing and allowed the party to continue. We had discussed pretty much all the specifics of what we wanted from him, and he met every one of those details prescisely. We could not have been happier with the turn out! I'd recommend Andrew for any event that may need a DJ. He is extremely easy to work with, does exactly what the customer wants, and is reasonable priced.

The Dub C DJs did a great job at our wedding. To this day we still have people talking about the dancing and party atmosphere that was going on. They stuck to our requests and quietly and calmly took care of request from guest that were on the do not play list. You always want people to know the party was great and the music was kicking without thinking the DJ got in the way or took over the spotlight and this was exactly how it went. Very professional, great job. I would highly advise for any wedding or event.

Dub C DJs was amazing! We had our wedding in a barn and wanted a more folksy/rustic feel during the early evening for our cocktail hour and dinner. Andrew came up with a playlist that was spot on for what we wanted. He has an amazing array of music and he really knows how to create the right atmosphere with his selections. He also knows when to switch gears to get the party started! During our planning meeting he told us that his goal is always to “blow up the dance floor,” which is exactly what he did. He did a brilliant job of pulling from different genres and eras of music and making sure everything flowed tight. We had a diverse range of family and friends there and he was able to get everybody onto their feet. Andrew knows how to read a crowd and was able to drop that perfect song time after time. Everybody still talks about how much fun our wedding was. He also had great speakers and offered us a range of other options like lights and fog machines to work with.

Andrew is very personable and easy to work with. He set up a meeting with us to discuss what we wanted and what Dub C DJs could offer us. The company contract and event checklist were both user friendly and he was always quick to respond to our questions. Our wedding coordinator also gave Andrew rave reviews for working closely with her to keep the night running smoothly from cocktail hour and dinner, through the first dance and the toasts, and into the party. Of all the wedding DJs we considered, Dub C DJs was by far the easiest to work with and offered to do it for considerably cheaper than any of the other companys we considered. I would highly recommend Dub C DJs.

We rented DJ equipment from Dub C DJs and this option was a perfect fit for our wedding. My brother has a ton of music and between all of us having attended a bunch of weddings we basically knew what we wanted on our playlist but just needed the gear so that we could play the music from a laptop. The equipment that we rented was very easy to operate and also came with a microphone that we used for the toasts and to make announcements. We saved a lot of money by going with this approach and you definitely should consider this package if you already know all the music you want played at your wedding and have someone who can man the gear. Several of our friends hadn't seen this done before but thought it would be a good way to go at their own weddings.

Our DJ Drew did a fantastic job! Very professional and everything went exactly as we planned it. He followed all of our requests and was really good at reading the crowd and knowing what type of music to play and when. Our wedding was made incredibly smooth, easy, upbeat, & nonstop entertaining by Andrew. He worked with us months before to walk us through the flow and help us select songs (when we wanted help) and gave nothing but positive vibes as we planned the wedding.

On the big day he was there early, set up our cocktail band with no hassle, and executed exactly right. We missed a couple of fav songs because the time was flying by but he had the timing right on all announcements and knew when to play a slow v fast song and followed the mood of the guests really well. Big thanks to him for making our wedding amazing.

Andrew and Dub C DJs were great! During our wedding reception, guests kept going up to the DJ booth…not to make requests, but rather to ask Andrew what the name of that awesome song was that he just played. That pretty much sums up the job that he did.

Throughout the planning process he was incredibly responsive and quick on the trigger in responding to my emails. He’s very into putting all the details into writing, which ensured that everything went smoothly on the day-of. Our venue offered somewhat of a tricky layout, as the main dance floor was in a different room than where dinner was served. To accommodate us, Andrew brought a second set of speakers to use in the dinner room so that there could be background music during dinner and so that we had a microphone to use for the toasts at the end of dinner. Every other DJ that I had contacted about our wedding said that doing this would cost more money, but Dub C DJs did this at no extra charge. This company’s rates are really great and personally I think they’re significantly undercharging for all that they provide.

Definitely book Dub C DJs and your wedding will be a hit!

Dub C DJs kept me and my friends on the dance floor all night! The planning process was really easy -- if you want good music and not to think about it too much, this is your DJ. We filled our a really comprehensive form with our schedule, what we needed, and what we wanted to hear, and the team at Dub C (Andrew and Tamara) took it over from there so we didn't have to think about a thing. We enjoyed working with Dub C Djs. They were very accommodating on scheduling times to speak and had quick responses to our questions. I was impressed that they had a document for us to fill out so that we were on the same page when it came to music, pronunciation of names and what the expectations should be. We enjoyed working with Andrew and Tamara.

One suggestion that i would make is to work on the transitions of music. We were not able to get through most of our play list in the 2 hour window, due to the fact that almost the entire song was played out. I think if you did a shorter version or part of the song and transitioned it into the next it would allow for a better flow on the dance floor. We also felt like there was not enough time to get through the music because the entire songs were played.

Over all we were satisfied, but some improvements can be made.
