  Dolly was great! My dress needed to be hemmed, have the bustle put on and cups put in. She also did alterations for 1 of my bridesmaids. Everything was beautiful! I had four dress fittings just to make sure everything was perfect! Her prices cannot be beat! A friend of mine recommended Dolly and I have since recommended her to several of my other friends! If I need anything in the future she will certainly be the first person I call! Thank you Dolly!

  Dolly tailored my wedding dress for my January 2016 wedding. We had 3 fittings and each time was a joy to visit with her. My mom and I went together to each fitting and the experience was always very enjoyable. These were memorable times that I will treasure--it was like stepping into a scene of a Hallmark wedding movie. I was very pleased with the work she did on my dress, jacket and veil, all for a very reasonable price. She also was able to do the work in a very timely manner. She listened to what I wanted and my dress was perfect for my wedding day.

  Dolly tailored my wedding dress for my January 2016 wedding. We had 3 fittings and each time was a joy to visit with her. These were memorable times that I will treasure--it was like stepping into a scene of a Hallmark wedding movie. I was very pleased with the work she did on my dress, jacket and veil, all for a very reasonable price. She also was able to do the work in a very timely manner.   She also gave me great advice on how to travel with my dress across the country, as I was married in California. Listening to her direction, my dress fit perfect and had the perfect bustle. I highly recommend Dolly!

  Dolly worked on my daughters wedding dress after a disaster at the Bridal shop she purchased it from. She also worked on my dress, and the entire bridal party. The job she did was amazing. And we couldn't have been happier. She has also done work for me on other dresses that I have purchased, and for many other brides and bridal parties that have been refferred to her by me. I have used her exclusively for over 5 years now. And never once have been disappointed. Her shop is a very busy shop and in high demand. She works for many many bridal shops in the local area and is well known and respected!

  Dolly was so wonderful to work with & She sure knows her stuff. I brought my dress to her for a bustle. When she saw my dress she knew exactly what to do. We had 3 appointments with her, all of which she was professional & friendly. My dress came out amazing! I cannot thank her enough!

  I waited until the last minute to find a dress. Literally 1 week before my evenent dolly was very nice and accommodating.she scheduled me on a Friday night and I received my dress on Tuesday night. Dolly is a very talented, fun and pleasant woman. My dress had a train that I had her eliminate and hiem. She did a terrific job.I plan to have my dresses made by her in the future. I would highly recommend dolly to anyone. She can take anyones vision of their dressand make it come alive. Very talented woman.

  Dolly is an expert in field that is dieing out in America. I had a dress made overseas but it was too long. Dresses made overseas are not made in the traditional way with large sections and seems in the correct places to make alterations easy. My dress was all one piece and I needed the front taken up but not the back. Dolly worked miracles with my dress. I had multiple fittings to get it perfect and she ALWAYS checked twice before making any permanent changes to the dress. She took the time and really listens to you and what you want and she was extremely reasonably priced! I would highly recommend Dolly for any alterations you need for any piece of clothing

  Dolly was such a pleasure to work with! She did the bustle and fixed the bodice (so I could breath :) ) on my dress, hemmed and did a few alterations for my bridesmaids, and fixed one bridesmaids dress after another VERY less qualified person "worked" on it and messed it up. Dolly's prices were extremely reasonable for the work she does, and each dress came out perfect with not a stitch out of place. I didn't realize when I booked with her that she altered my bridesmaids wedding dress several years ago as well! I will definitely go back to her for my dress needs!

  I had my alterations and the alterations of 3 of my bridesmaids done by Dolly. She did a wonderful job taking all of our concerns and wishes into consideration, and she was extremely reasonably priced.

  Dolly is great to work with. She has excellent prices and always get the job done, though sometimes she falls a little behind schedule when you show up for a fitting. She is wonderful to chat with and I was happy to support her small local business. She even offered to steam my bridemaids' dresses (to get the wrinkles out) the day before the wedding, even though she had not altered those dresses.

While I feel that Dolly is a very nice woman, I do think she has lost her nack for sewing which so many people have previously spoken so highly about. Her prices were reasonable however, I would have paid more money and gone to someone else if I didnt have to deal with the stress of worrying what my dress was actually going to fit like on my wedding day. My mom's dress wasn't finished until 3 weeks after Dolly told her it would be for a simple hem. The day of the wedding we realized the powder that she used on the dress to mark the hem was still visible and couldn't be cleaned off. I can't say that I would reccomend Dolly to anyone for a Bridal gown. If you just want basic alterations done, absolutely.

  Dolly needs to put her needle and thread down

  I implore you NOT to take your treasures to Dolly. Our wedding dress: buttons crooked on back, arm hole not acceptable, boning missing, hem rolled to the point lining stuck out and was crooked. Suit coat: arms shortened. Not cut straight, lining not measure just crumpled up, both sleeves so puckered on outside it was embarrassing, sleeves once had a ;placket that was ignore, sewn shut. Both items needed remaking the night before the wedding. By the bride's mother and a dear friend who was leaving for London the next day. Offers to fix items were offered by Dolly, but wouldn't you expect a professional to give the best effort the first time around? Sorry not going back for more abuse. Suit coat literally was just about out of fabric to fix.... rest had been cut off.

Dolly questioned where the comb needed to be sewn. My MIL asked her not to touch it whiles he stepped out to call me. Upon coming back in, Dolly had made a mess of sewing a comb into my mothers veil. Upon finding this out, I called her and let her know that I would be picking up my dress and my payment. I have no doubt that she was once a wonderful seamstress and she is certainly a lovely woman. But she should not be in this business anymore, especially working with brides. I strongly advise against bringing your wedding gown here.

My daughter's wedding gown was a very full gown and needed to be taken in and hemmed. It took five or six fittings - the last one 4 days before the wedding. She would pin the dress and we would go back for the next fitting and nothing would be done. We were told that some of the pins had fallen out and she wanted to make sure that it was right before she did anything. She appeared to be forgetful, repeatedly asking the same questions every time we went back. Without going through all the nightmarish appointments we had, in the end, my daughter's bustle broke during the reception. Thankfully we were afraid something like that might happen based on our experience with Dolly and I went armed with large safety pins that fixed the problem quickly and worked better than the buttons and loops that she had put on the dress - that broke. I think that Dolly was an expert seamstress in the past, but she should not be working on anything as important as a Bride's wedding dress.

  I had heard great things about Dolly when I was looking for a seamstress. I do not know what happened. She was a nice enough woman, but she stressed me out more than any other part of my wedding. She was simply too busy to work on my dress, and my bridesmaid's dresses. It was the week of the wedding, and my maid of honor's dress hadn't even been touched. I had three fittings with her and nothing was done to my dress each time. Luckily, nothing much even needed to be done to my dress. I had three fittings with her and nothing was done to my dress each time. Luckily, nothing much even needed to be done to my dress. She seemed spacey and was always forgetting everything and loosing things. Her space was kind of a mess with things everywhere. The day of the wedding, my bustle broke. And my sisters sleeves that she had put on (which apparently was a lot of trouble in the end) weren't even secure and lopsided! We were really unhappy with the service- and we weren't the only ones. Other people were grabbing their dresses to take them somewhere else because nothing had been done to them.

  Dolly is very inexpensive (I paid Lourdes quite a bit more) but this isn't even a "you get what you pay for" situation. It's "you pay and get nothing." DO NOT USE THIS WOMAN FOR YOUR WEDDING DRESS. It will result in you crying in her shop. Paying more for someone like Lourdes is definitely worth it.
  I know there are some good reviews on here for Dolly. Believe me, I did my research before picking her. I think due to some life events she may have been good in the past but due to a lack of time and focus she's lost her magic. It's really unfortunate but even if you feel bad for her, don't let it ruin your wedding day (I felt so bad for her I almost did!).
