We had our wedding at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa on October 21st, 2025, and it was truly an incredible experience from start to finish. The location itself is absolutely beautiful—perfect for a destination wedding—and everything exceeded our expectations.

The wedding planning team was phenomenal. A huge shoutout to Lisbeth, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we arrived, she kept constant communication, explained every detail thoroughly, and made us feel completely at ease. She was incredibly flexible, understanding, and accommodating, and seamlessly coordinated with our wedding planner, Zerlene, who we flew out from home. We truly felt like we could rely on her for everything.

Franciella was also wonderful to work with and brought such positive energy throughout the process—it did not go unnoticed!

We also have to give a big thank you to Rafael, the best butler ever. He went out of his way to take care of us, even bringing coffee to the spa for me and my bridesmaids, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The venue itself was stunning. We had our ceremony at the gazebo, which created the most beautiful setting. Our reception was originally planned for the garden, but due to unexpected rain, we had to make a last-minute change. The team handled it flawlessly, quickly accommodating the shift without any added stress on us, and everything turned out perfectly.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this resort to anyone planning a destination wedding. It truly made our special day unforgettable!

We had our wedding at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa in February and it truly felt like a fairytale. Our ceremony was on the beach on the Breathless side with the ocean as the backdrop, and it was absolutely picture-perfect. The reception in the ballroom was beautiful and perfectly organized. The food was delicious for both the rehearsal dinner and the reception, and our guests are still talking about it. The entire experience was unforgettable, and we couldn’t have asked for a more magical place to celebrate our wedding.

The ladies at the spa were great. I went in with inspo pictures and they were able to recreate it as close as they could and I loved they way it turned out. They were so sweet and asked about our story as they worked on me.

A Perfect Wedding and Rehearsal Dinner!!

Our rehearsal dinner and wedding day at Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa were nothing short of flawless. There was truly not one single thing that wasn’t done correctly. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations in every way.

Lisbeth, our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to ensure absolute perfection for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day. As soon as we arrived at the resort, she made sure we met with her and the on site photographer so that our vision, goals, and expectations were completely aligned. That level of care and organization instantly put me at ease and allowed me to fully enjoy every moment.

The ceremony itself went perfectly. The flowers were absolutely stunning, even more beautiful than I had imagined, and every detail was executed with precision and care. The team was incredibly professional and proactive, quickly jumping into action with well thought out backup plans in case of rain, which made everything feel seamless and stress free.

I genuinely cannot say a single negative thing about my experience. My rehearsal dinner and wedding day were everything I have ever dreamed of and more. If you are considering Dreams Onyx for your wedding, you will be in the best hands possible. This was a truly magical, once in a lifetime experience that I will cherish forever.

From the very beginning to the day we left it was nothing but perfect. A lot of people mention that they get concerned not being able to view the location before hand or difficulty getting in contact with the wedding coordinators before you arrive, but I can confirm there is nothing to worry about. Lisbeth was our coordinator and always communicated with us fine before hand. When we arrived to the resort the meeting we had to confirm everything was correct made me so very confident. Lisbeth clearly has a lot of experience and it was so great working with her. I loved every second of my wedding.

The hotel was beautiful 5 star service and clean.
We were really well looked after we are a family of 4 and we had 17 guests join us . All our guests had a wonderful time. Thank you all so much !

We arrived on January 23, 2026, and because we were there for our wedding, we had Preferred status with a separate check-in, which was quick and seamless. Right away we were introduced to our concierge, Starling — and honestly, you are in *amazing* hands if you have him. I cannot say enough good things about Starling. Over the entire 10 days we stayed, he went above and beyond, even helping check in our guests who weren’t Preferred. He genuinely made everyone feel cared for.

Our wedding coordinator, Nicaury, was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, she met with us, kept us updated on timelines, and clearly walked us through what to expect. The wedding itself was flawless — ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all held on the beach, and it was breathtaking. The dinner food was incredible, and our guests raved about the cocktail hour appetizers. The wedding service staff were amazing as well — Jonathan, Isaac, and Alberto were outstanding and made the entire evening feel effortless.

Our photographer, John from **WBA Photography**, arranged through the resort, was awesome and captured everything beautifully.

The rooms were extremely clean, with zero issues during our stay. Towels and bedding were always well stocked. Monica did an incredible job keeping our room spotless every day, and a special shout-out to Henry, who made sure our room always had plenty of water, Pringles, and snacks — he quickly became our favorite!

I was initially nervous about it being a family resort, but it’s the perfect size where kids never felt overwhelming if you’re traveling as adults. The Preferred pool is adults-only, which was great, and Angel was such a huge help there — always friendly, attentive, and making sure everyone was taken care of. Surprisingly, the waterpark ended up being mostly adults — and it was so much fun. We spent a ton of time at the lazy river, and everyone loved the waterslides.

And I absolutely have to mention Ruth. Ruth is the kindest soul you will ever meet — such a hard worker, incredibly friendly, and genuinely caring. We met her our very first night, and we were SO grateful she was there right until we left, taking such wonderful care of us at the lobby bar. She truly made our evenings special and always greeted us with the biggest smile.

There is food *everywhere*. The beachside grill and the taco truck near the lazy river were perfect for quick bites, and the buffet had tons of variety with great accommodation for dietary needs.

The spa team handled hair and makeup for me and six family members, and everything turned out beautifully and lasted all day. The bridal suite was perfect, and the spa itself was incredibly relaxing and calming.

Overall, I truly couldn’t have asked for a better vacation or wedding. Our guests are still talking about how amazing everything was. If you’re considering this resort for a destination wedding or getaway — do it. We are beyond grateful for the memories made here. 💗

We had the absolute best time at Dreams Onyx for our wedding. Overall, the food was great, as was the service from all the staff. They were some of the friendliest we have come across at resorts, we truly felt like family by the end of the trip! The resort was perfect for the wedding, lots to do, great amenities, we didn't find it too busy (we went when there were no other holidays so likely also why it was less busy) and the weather was perfect. Planning the wedding was easy with our coordinator, Lisbeth, who always answered all my questions beforehand and made it totally stress free. Even once we arrived, we barely had to do anything as they take care of it all, making more time for us to be with our guests! Even on the day of the wedding, it was going to rain that evening, so Lisbeth took care of everything to move the reception inside so we wouldn't be rained out - and we actually ended up loving the indoor spot! We also had great music - having collaborated on a playlist with the entertainment group, the staff we had at our wedding were so fun and friendly (Carlos especially who was our personal server for the night), even the buffet food was so delicious and the appetizers at the cocktail hour! We loved every minute of it and would recommend this resort over and over again to anyone wanting to do a destination wedding!

I booked the package 1.5 years prior to the weeding. My weeding planner was Nicaury and she was awesome, she listened very carefully to all the requests we made and I'm glad we went to the hotel months prior to the wedding to have a one on one talk with Nicaury. The communication was find through email, but having that one on one was better. Prior to the wedding Nicaury was letting us know about the weather. We had the ceremony and the party at the beach and it was beutiful. The day of the wedding she was on point, we took some of the decoration and gave it to Nicaury and she did an outstanding job. I only have good things to say about her. Thank you Nicaury for making our day a very special one.
