I’ve sat on this one a while, because that’s what you’re supposed to do when someone gives you a negative review. And I’ve thought over and over on all the things that happened prior to this day and during this day that would have motivated you to leave a review like this. There weren’t any services that you say that you didn’t receive. 100% of everything we promise was provided: We held your planning meeting and we also did your two week walk-through and in both of those meetings, as well as on all the other communication that we’ve had, you were 100% all smiles and happy.

You walked into your wedding day with every table and chair placed as requested, with the venue manager present as promised for your full 14 hour upgraded rental, as committed. Riverbend Chapel was open for you at your rental time, even though you decided to arrive almost 2 1/2 hours late to that facility. But we knew ahead of time that you weren’t motivated to get there early and that’s completely okay with us because you’re able to use your rental time as desired. You transferred over to Mountain Crest Venue easily at the appropriate time, and festivities began.

What I do recall in detail, is us going over our alcohol policy at the original site visit as well as the two week walk-through. We discussed how long the bar would be open, exactly when the bar would close and the process of all alcohol that was in the rooms going behind the bar, according to Oklahoma State law. We even request that you let your crew know all of our policies ahead of time so that there are no surprises.

I’ve followed up with my staff that day as well as the contracted security officer and I was contacted multiple times during this event and was informed play-by-play of what transpired that evening. Absolutely no one went through your things. The alcohol that was visible in the rooms was placed behind the bar, and as you were told when the contracted security officer arrived, as outlined in our contract.

There seems to have then been a little bit of an issue with you and your guests not wanting to have the bar be closed at the appropriate time. Your guests were cursing at my staff and the contracted security officer and verbally threatening them to where, had you not exited when you did, the county sheriff would have been called and the event would have been closed. Period.

That type of treatment of any human being is NEVER allowed, I don’t care what you paid. So. It’s not that I didn’t provide the services promised, it’s not that I’m only in this for the money, (and I don’t know if this surprises you, but this IS a business) because honestly that night, none of us were paid enough to have been treated so poorly.

It’s that you were angry that we adhered to our policies and you’re trying to get back because of your embarrassment on how you and your guests acted by giving me a negative review. I will completely uphold all promises to all clients every single time even when that makes the client or the guests upset. Because that concierge-level of service we promise doesn’t bow to bullying, but is honored at every turn.
