We loved having Dream City Strings at our wedding!!
Dream city strings was amazing to work with. From the moment we met for the first meeting we knew we were in great hands. The entire process was seamless, and the day of our wedding couldn’t have been more amazing! The ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner were all the more amazing thanks to Jared and his team. Jazz Trio That Stole the Show
I only knew two things I wanted when my fiancé and I started planning a wedding celebration: I wanted it to be outside, and I wanted live music. I didn’t want to develop a playlist, worry about a DJ not playing the songs I liked, or have music so loud that our guests couldn’t hang out, mingle, and converse. After deciding to hire a jazz trio, I had a short consultation with Anthony where I described the vibe we wanted and told him to take it from there. I left that conversation feeling like I was in good hands—but little did I know what an amazing musician we had hired.
When Anthony arrived at our party, he was giddy with excitement—you would have thought we were doing him a favor by letting him play. From the first chord, I knew we’d made the right decision. Anthony put together a trio with immense talent that quickly became the highlight of our already amazing celebration. All evening long, our guests kept coming up to me to say how great the music was. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the calm, cool jazz—including the kiddos, who loved dancing to the tight rhythm.
One of my favorite comments came from my 96-year-old, music-loving grandmother. She said she’d never been to a wedding where everyone could just relax and enjoy the music while still being able to hold a conversation. Anthony didn’t just deliver great jazz—he’s a genuinely kind and engaging human. After closing up our party, glowing with the pleasure of a perfect evening, I walked away feeling like I’d found a new friend.

Wedding Trio
Dream City Strings provided our ceremony live music! We are absolutely astonished by the results! Jared's initial planning meetings/emails were very professional and detailed. On the day of the wedding, we had 3 professional musicians perform for us and they showed up on time to set-up! We provided them with a playlist via their portal which they followed to a tee. We got many compliments on the live music and it really made our wedding feel elegant! -

Elevated our ceremony!
Having Dream City play at our ceremony made it beyond special, it really took everything to the next level - we felt like we were in a movie! Their portal was really easy to use and working with them was seamless. -

Great Experience with Dream City Music!
Music was beautifully performed and many guests told us how impressed they were with the quartet. Jared did a great job of providing song suggestions, and recommending the flow of music. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. -

Superior Quality With Personal Touch
Dream City Music was better than anything that we could have hoped for. We asked them to find sheet music to play two songs that were not originally on their list of songs and they executed perfectly. They elevated our wedding by creating such a beautiful atmosphere and we got so many compliments on our string quartet selection. Thank you for making our wedding amazing! Dream City Jazz was more than we could have hoped for
It was amazing working with Dream City Jazz. From the first contact, to the pre-wedding meetings, to the day of, everything was easy and professional. Their performance and capabilities were great and set a perfect tone for the end of our ceremony and the cocktail reception. They were even willing to accommodate a move from outside to inside, mid-performance. All in all, they were fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for jazz music for any occasion. -

Our string duo was absolutely amazing!! Dream City Music kindly stepped in (with late notice mind you) and seamlessly coordinated providing strings alongside our in-house church musicians. Ceremony Music
As the MOB, I hired Dream City Strings early on in the planning process and so glad I did. My daughter picked out all the music and it was absolutely beautiful. They were great to work. We did have to move the ceremony inside due to rain and the quartet ended up having to stay longer due to a late arriving bus with our guests. They were understanding and we worked this situation out on Monday after the wedding. I can't wait for the wedding video since I want to hear their beautiful music again. I highly recommend this group for your wedding ceremony music. -

Great Choice for Ceremony Music!
We booked Dream City Strings to play our ceremony music at our September 2018 wedding in Appleton. Keaton was easy to work with, and very responsive. We had gone with a duet per his suggestion for our wedding size, and it worked out well. Their assortment of music is astounding, and we were able to pick some pop culture favorites for the prelude and postlude, and then the more classic songs for the ceremony. Our guests kept telling us throughout the night how awesome it was to hear the Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and Moana songs that they recognized. The arrived promptly on our wedding day, and the ceremony music was beautiful - they are clearly very good at what they do! Our wedding day was pretty hot and full of mosquitoes, so I greatly appreciate them for continuing to play in those conditions, and apologize for every mosquito bite they had to receive while playing! They are very well-priced, and I am so glad with our decision to book them. We would definitely recommended Dream City Strings! -

Beautiful musicians
Dream City music made my ceremony absolutely perfect. They helped me throughout the entire process by helping me choose which music best fits my style and they helped with deciding the order of the music that was played. They have a huge selection of music to choose from so their style quiz eased my mind when it came to the final decisions. They were very professionally dressed and and had such a positive attitude throughout the entire ceremony. There was a hiccup when my priest said the vows in the wrong order leading to the precession music being played early (by no means at fault of the string quartet) but they played it off and the ceremony proceeded as if nothing happened-I like to think they helped us out with the awkward silence that came following the wrong order of vows! Thank you Dream City for the beautiful music you played for my wedding, you did an amazing job! -

The Best Experience
Our very first consultation was quick and painless! We locked in the strings & DJ portion very early on in our planning. The website was very user friendly and it made the process that much easier. We had a special requirement for the DJ to start a little earlier than planned and half of our playlist was in Russian. Dream City Music accommodated all of our requests with no problems and at no extra charge. The string duo played beautifully and even moved from the ceremony room to the reception room for our guests' cocktail hour with ease. Jared, the DJ, was the best DJ we have ever met. We do not reside in the Milwaukee area but that never put a strain on our communication. We had a last minute change of line up during our speeches and dances which Jared handled with grace. While we expected Jared to take requests, we were amazed at how far he was willing to go to cheer up my five year old brother when a balloon popped in his face. I've never known a DJ to have Jurassic World Theme queued up but Jared really saved the night! He even took some photos and videos after our photographer left! He was very warm and interactive with all of our guests; he felt more like a friend than a vendor. I'm so pleased we went with Dream City Music, our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them! -

They were really responsive on email (which I appreciated because so many vendors wanted to have calls, and we're all about email), and they did a custom song for what I thought was a super fair rate of $20. Our guests loved the mix of classical songs and contemporary stuff that our duo played at cocktail hour. All in all, so happy! -

Dream City was so amazing to work with from start to finish. I loved being able to choose all the songs online and create a playlist. It made it a really fun experience to do with my fiance. They already had so many songs I loved in their repertoire and was able to find the perfect ones for every part of the ceremony. We hired a violin and cello to play at the ceremony (outdoors) and during the cocktail hour (indoors) and they were incredible. It was exactly how I imagined it would be and I wish I could have enjoyed it so much more and met both of them personally. I couldn’t recommend Dream City enough and Jared was such a pleasure to work with! -

Dream City Strings performed a beautiful set for our wedding ceremony. We had many guests complement how beautiful the usher music was and how harmonious the string players were. Jared was very helpful in the planning stage and was able to answer any questions that my husband had. It was the perfect surprise as I walked down the aisle. Thanks to Dream City String to make our wedding not only special for us, but a very unique wedding for many of our family that were the first time that they hear live instrumental music. My experience with Dream City Stings- from first contact to the day of- was wonderful. The planning process was efficient and flexible and the team communicated promptly and effectively. On the day of the wedding, the musicians were professional and performed beautifully. We chose a few custom songs to use in our ceremony and the arrangements came out perfectly. Jared & Keaton helped to make our wedding a dream! They were both very responsive throughout the planning process and Jared was an amazing musician and DJ the day of. My husband and I were married June 2nd at the Bridgeport Art Center. Several months before the wedding, I was scouring the web for an instrumental string trio. When I came across Dream City Strings, an IM from “Jared” appeared. Obviously, this was a pre-programmed pop up that I had seen before, but the difference between this and other pop-ups was that he responded immediately! We chatted for over 20 minutes, and not only did he answer all the questions I had and explained what his company could offer, but his genuine interest in our love story was most appealing. He felt more like a friend then a vendor. This personal attention and sincere interest in providing us the perfect musical background for our ceremony and cocktail hour was continued throughout the months of planning. Unfortunately, my new husband and I spent the majority of the cocktail hour taking pictures around the venue, so we did not have the opportunity to hear the entire set, but the musicians received high praise from more guests than we can count. For anyone seeking beautiful instrumental music for their event, I would highly recommend Jared and Dream City Strings. Since some readers of this review may conclude that I have been offered a perk in order to do so, I would like to publically disclose that I forgo any monetary reward for posting this review. As a bride, I placed a lot of importance on the reviews I read when choosing vendors and other wedding details, and I would never post anything misleading. Our experience with Jared was fantastic on all accounts. He was easy to communicate with, provided valuable guidance, and went above and beyond to accommodate last minute changes to our musical choices. Additionally, Jared has designed a custom web interface that makes the process of creating an event playlist so simple and painless. Our sincere thanks to Jared and the Diamond Trio (Dream City Strings) for providing the music for our wedding and being a part of our special day. -

With having completed an online form and communicating with Keaton it was all so simple! I will say I was a little nervous with working with a vendor from another city and not having them onsite until the actual wedding day, but they simply blew me away.
The musicians arrived earlier than anticipated. They had questions for me to confirm what I was stating via the online form and read my mind with what I wanted to confirm and align with them.
Having the strings was so much more than background music. It set the mood for our wedding and everyone that attended RAVED about how great they were.

We used Dream City music for our wedding ceremony music. All the musicians were dressed professionally and on time for the wedding. Jared was our coordinator and he was very responsive and easy to work with. He walked us through how to add songs to our playlist and gave us ideas of what goes well together. Amanda was incredibly responsive and helpful, she had great ideas and made planning my event much easier. I hired two musicians (a guitarist and violinist) to play and had them learn a song. They arrived on time and set up and did their thing with very little direction. They sounded amazing and I was incredibly impressed. I wanted live music during the ceremony. Amanda was nothing but professional and very knowledgable throughout the whole process, she really guided us through the whole music timeline/playlist and helped to provide advice to help make everything perfect. Their website also provides little sound bites. They offer a vast array of different musicians, and we ended up going with a duo- violinist and cellist.
We had a little snafu as the violinist was a bit late (due to Cubs world series traffic, which no one could have predicted how bad it would be- and ended up making some of the guests late too). They ended up playing for extra time to make up for the delay. They both sounded wonderful, and were a perfect addition to the ceremony/cocktail hour.
Their prices were well worth it and I felt were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Dream City and will use them again when the opportunity arises. -

I hired Dream City Music to play my prelude, processional, recessional and postlude for my outdoor wedding. Jared was quick to answer any (and all) of my questions. I ended up hiring a string trio to play a multitude of show tunes and a few pop songs, many of which they learned specifically for my wedding. The musicians were absolutely wonderful! They even learned a song to play as a surprise recessional for my hubby. I could not have been happier with my decision to hire Dream City Music. Just book this service. Not only did the pianist play phenomenally, but she only had 2 weeks to prepare and was using equipment that I had provided without using it before. DCS was the perfect addition to our tiny wedding. We received several compliments on their set. They were polite and timely. They knew what to do and where to go and they have a great website to get you started on your playlist. I would highly recommend them for any size wedding. -

I was very happy with Dream City Music. Jared was very responsive to all of my questions during the process, and I was able to choose a unique blend of musicians. I was also able to choose a package where I could pick a number of custom songs for the musicians to learn, which was great. My venue was an outdoor rooftop and they were able to bring a piano and cello and figure out the logistics just fine. I would definitely recommend them again. -

I worked with Jared on creating a unique and different sound for my wedding ceremony. He was very eager to help me out and suggest complementary music for the rest of the ceremony. It worked out perfectly and all of the music I wanted and that he worked out for the rest was exactly what I wanted. He even came and played with the duo the day of as an extra!! I would recommend them to any bride planning their wedding or private event! -

Dream City Strings were excellent. They were more than accommodating in determining: a) how many pieces we were looking for b) length of time we needed them for c) any requests.
They played our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were excellent, and we received multiple compliments from our guests in regards to their services. Would definitely recommend, and believe you me, I don't just doll out compliments. You should the lousy Yelp reviews I leave! -

With so many moving pieces of planning a wedding, hiring Dream City Music for our Pianist, was one of the easier parts. I really wanted a specific song in our wedding "Concerning Hobbits" and it sounded great! Several of my friends attending the wedding thought it was great too. -

Amazing music
Having this live band at my wedding was the perfect touch. It made everything even more special. I would highly recommend to book Dream City instead of using a DJ for the ceremony. They are super affordable in my opinion for the performance they gave. Thank you for making my wedding all the more special!! -

Perfect Live Ceremony Music
Dream City music did a wonderful job for our ceremony! They set the ambiance for the ceremony and the timing was perfect. They also have a wide variety of options for music. I would recommend them! -

Lack of Communication
They lack communication and do not care about your event. You are simply just another customer they have to deal with. This was evident from the get go. We initially booked with Chi Town Strings but apparently the companies merged or changed names? We don't know because this change was never communicated to us. We just all of sudden started receiving bounce backs from our contacts and could no longer access our dashboard. Jared was very delayed in many of his responses and often times required several follow ups. To make matters worse, the day of the wedding we only ended up having 3 of the 4 performers arrive. No one communicated this to us during or after the event. We only found out because we thought the arrangements sounded off and quiet. Apparently members of our wedding party kept asking where the 4th person was and nobody would give them an explanation. We finally had to reach out several days after the event to find out what happened. Jared seemed smug and defensive on the phone that day, when he informed us the 4th person was involved in an accident on the way to the venue. While these things happen, why weren't we informed during or after the event? Why wasn't a backup plan put into place? We are just very disappointed in the level of customer service and the actual performance from the group -
