The BEST in the state, country and beyond!
Dr. Hessman was a God send. He was able to officiate our wedding with 12 hours notice AND he drove an hour from Carolina Beach to make our sunrise service a reality. For those of u who don’t know, that means he probably left at 4:45 am on a Sunday to meet us at 6:10 am. He has a lot of scripts but he sends them to you ahead of time so you can personalize them as much or as little as you want. Highly, highly recommend. He is one of the kindest, patient and self less humans I have met. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Rick Hessman as your officiant for your special day. 👰🏻♀️💜🤵🏻♂️ -

We decided with a month left to have an actual ceremony instead of going to the courthouse. Dr. Hessman was such a blessing to find. He’s warm, friendly, and super willing to work to make each couple’s day full of love. He was definitely the friendliest person I spoke to when making this decision, and he charged half the price of the others. I’m so thankful we found Dr. Hessman! -

When you hire a pastor online, you really don't know what to expect other than what you see in the reviews. We felt like Dr. Hessman was a great match for us, and he was all of that and more. I loved the sermon choices he provided and actually took parts of several and merged them into a sermon I felt worked best for us. We loved having Dr. Hessman officiate this special day. We hired Dr.Hessman for our elopement with a little more than a week to get it done. He communicated throughout the entire time. He was helpful in preparing vows and provided several examples to use that he then helped us tailor for our own. He even helped us arrange witnesses since NC requires two and we were traveling with no other family. If you’re thinking of hiring anyone else it would be a mistake. He was so kind, polite, and professional and made our ceremony feel like we had family with us. Could not be more grateful he was our officiant. -

Dr. Hessman was amazing to work with. He made the process easy and stress free from the beginning to the end. He was very open with me taking the traditional marriage ceremony and making more “Our style” ( which basically meant I copy and pasted several different templates together 😊). He was great to work around making sure I had an afternoon beach wedding and even assured me if it rained everything would still be perfect. He communicated regularly throughout the process when needed and on the day of the wedding arrived to meet everyone and fit right in as if he had known them for years. He took all the pictures the photographer wanted and was in no hurry. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs an Officiant in the area. He definitely wants the day to be all about the bride and groom!! -
