User1577659 Sent on 04/06/2014I heard of him through a friend, he was easy to contact and always responded in a timely manner! He was there on time had music playing before the guests arrived (I was there an hr early) and he kept the night moving! He played everything I wanted and stuff he knew I didnt care for (country) he asked me before he played it, if someone requested it. I had a great experience with him and would recommend him to anyone! -
User1338525 Sent on 09/19/2013I have to say that Dr. Glo is, by far, the best DJ I have ever experienced. He played everything that we wanted and even had a wide variety of music for when the guests requested songs. He played new age music along with the Jitterbug for my older guests!! There was someone dancing on the dance floor at all times. My in-laws were so impressed by him, they invited him to stop over the next day for post wedding celebrations. He makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. You can trust him with your requests, big or small.
I went to a wedding 3 weeks after mine. I couldn't understand what the DJ was saying nor was his music of any interest. People that were at my wedding, also at the other wedding, said that our DJ should have done theirs.
Everyone still talks about how awesome our reception was!!! We owe it all to Dr. Glo!! Definitely choose him! -
User1338252 Sent on 09/19/2013I had Dj Glo for my wedding a year ago.My now husband and I met him at a friend's wedding he was djing at. I just want to say he was AWESOME! He made our day so great. He met up with us a couple months ahead of time to go over our song choices and he was so helpful with giving a worksheet that went over a very detailed time basis that really helped create less stress for us. He was so flexible, I changed my mind about a few songs almost last minute. He showed up the day of the wedding on time and ready to go. The set up was great. Everyone enjoyed the music from cocktail hour through out the rest of the evening. From the music list to his energetic personality, I have absolutely no regrets from having him be apart of our day. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family. I enjoyed the pictures he took for us, he got so many shots that would have never been known to happen which alot ended up being priceless! If you are looking for someone who loves to make your day special and who is willing to be apart of your craziness of being a bride.. I would recommend choosing Dr. Glo as your dj! -
User1459018 Sent on 12/01/2013DJ Glo is great!! I have heard about him several times through many friends! He is very organized and follows thru on his plans for your reception. He is a great entertainer and he took a lot of photos that captured wonderful moments of everyone dancing and having a good time!!! We had so much fun at our wedding and he even stayed a little later than we had scheduled to get in a couple last songs we wanted to hear! Everybody had great things to say about DJ Glo and the music he provided! Thank you for making our special day so memorable!

User1338251 Sent on 09/19/2013He was a great DJ, everything we could have asked for. Catered to our every need. He played exactly what we wanted. Was able to meet with us about a month before the wedding and we were able to go through the ceremony and reception and the music needed. Played everything we wanted and kept the dance floor alive. Took good pictures and posted on Facebook which wasn't expected. Definitely reasonable and very flexible which made it nice. Would definitely recommend him for any event!

We were completed pleased with his services and would recommend him for any event you may need a DJ for! Everyone complimented us on how much fun they had at our wedding!!! -

Megan Sent on 01/14/2012We had been at several weddings prior to ours that Dr. Glo DJ'ed and we thought he had done a great job, so we hired him for our wedding. He did not do a great job for us. First we had our cocktails in a seperate room, it was right next door to the reception room with several large dividing doors in between, this is where he set up. His equipment was perfectly placed for sound to be in both rooms as he was informed was needed. No music could be heard during cocktails, he had all the music going into the reception room where no one was at yet.
Then the Bridal Party was waiting in a different room to be introduced, we had been provided with some cocktail food and drinks in there and he came in and started eating all of that and telling some of the children in the wedding party not to eat it, that it was "for the adults". He was to be provided a meal during the reception (more on this later) not eating up the food in our room. He also argued with my sister about the name she was to be introduced as. Finally the Best Man stepped in and said she was to be introduced how she wanted to be. She wanted to be introduced with her first name, her maiden name and her married name. This should not have been a big deal, but it was to him, he tried to say he could use only two names.
After cocktails the real bad stuff started. He was to play a special set of songs at the beginning of the reception, this had been a nightmare ahead of time to try to explain to him and to get him to agree to. When it came time to play them, he totally messed them up and when my mother, our wedding coordinater and the event planner tried to find him two songs into this, he had disappeared!! We were 9 songs into it before they found him....in line getting his food!! He was only to play snippits of these songs so at this point a good portion of the plan was ruined. He was not supposed to get food until this portion of the reception was over, and after the guests had gotten fed.
Also, we had our cookies covered with tulle, to be opened when the cake was cut and served for dessert. After my mom had already told him how upset we all were about him leaving his "post" during the crucial beginning of the reception to get food, he came up to her and said "You need to open the cookies, I have to get my cookies, people are done eating". Number one, we had a carefully created plan with our coordinater as to when the cookies would be opened, it's not up to him to decide and number two, ONCE AGAIN HE HAD LEFT HIS POST to find my mother and was worried about "food".
Then, the rest of the night he basically couldn't be found, he was off taking pictures with people he knew, or just plain could not be found. He would play a song or two and disappear. Then put on a couple of more and disappear again. Etc, Etc. Etc.....
COMPLAINTS HEARD FROM GUESTS AND OTHER VENDORS AFTERWARD: We were told by guests who had been seated throughout the reception room that they could not hear the music or understand him when he spoke. We had already been aware of us not being able to hear, but had hoped it was not that way for all the guests. Also, numerous people mentioned that he would not take requests for songs that are very common wedding songs and he should have had them available, but kept saying he didn't have them, but then he did take some totally obnoxious requests that basically "killed" the mood and the dancing. We had said we didn't want a lot of requests but a few were ok, we had thought he would do the common ones and know enough to skip the mood killer ones.
One vendor who we later ran into said, "What was up with that
DJ? He kept disappearing and you couldn't hear his stuff at all".
Anyway, Dr. Glo didn't ruin our wedding, it was beautiful, but he did disappoint and spoil a portion of it, and we would never recommend him. He used to be a better DJ, we don't know what's up with him, but he needs to go back to how he used to be. We have several friends and family getting married in the next two years who were at our wedding and we didn't even have to say a word against him. They all are using several of our other vendors, but told us he's one they would never even consider. Save yourself problems and consider using someone else for your wedding or event. He offered a "good deal" based on having done several of our relatives weddings, we wish we would have paid more and gotten what we paid for....ooops....we guess we did get what we paid for,,,,,,,remember sometimes "cheap" isn't a good deal at all.
PS: To give a little credit to him. We had requested "oldie" music like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc. during cocktails and dinner. He did have some great music for this, unfortunately no one heard it during cocktails because of his poor set up, but then after the fiasco of the "beginning" music for the special dinner snippits that he screwed up by "disappearing for food" he did get back to those old classics and they did sound great during dinner.
