Best DJ and MC

Dr.Beat was incredible we had Mike and Gene as our DJ and MC and they made the night amazing. From our first phone call we just knew we had made the correct choice just gave us great vibes and they delivered. From the rustic fasad on the DJ booth to the music at cocktail hour (thought was our own play list) and the music during the reception was amazing. They were honest and familar with our space just didn't try to sell us on the highest package. We spoke with Mike before our event and went over our preferences and he just got it. They understood the assignment and delivered an unbelievable night. Everyone was dancing the whole night to the point where not one person left early on the 1st shuttle everyone crammed onto the last shuttle because nobody wanted to leave, yes even the old ppl, 91 yr old Grandma stuck it out til the very end. They made sure to pay attention to every detail we asked for, from the last song we requested to be played, the memory song for my brother and all the different songs we requested in between. We had so much fun and couldn't be happier with our choice they were amazing. Mixing songs throughout the night checking in with us to make sure we were having a great time, making an announcement if needed to wrangle guests for pictures or to sit for speeches whatever we needed they did and then some. If you're on the fence between just DJ or getting a DJ and MC definitely get the DJ and MC it makes such a big difference allows the DJ to focus on mixing and playing the music and the MC to handle the crowd and keep everyone dancing. Not joking dance floor was packed whole night, only problem was that the dance floor was too crowded but thats what we wanted everyone having a great time and dancing all night and they did that. Cocktail hour was perfect they played the exact music we asked for and ensured the volume was perfect and since they knew the venue and actually knew it was a restaurant, Toast in patchogue, they knew it was a seperate room and Dr Beat was incredible we had Mike and Gene as our DJ and MC and they made the night amazing. Would recommend only if you're looking to have a wodnerful event where your guest are dancing the whole night and never want the party to end. Would give 10 stars if we could and yes that's out of 5 that's how good they were. They made our amazing day even more amazing. Great job thank you. Five Stars!!! Our favorite wedding vendor!!!

Throughout the entire planning process, Mike was always available for meetings and replied instantly to emails and texts. We work crazy hours, and he was able to quickly accommodate as needed. Mike and Patty had answers for all of our questions and even the one's we didn't even know we had! It was easy to see that they have decades of experience with weddings. When I told our other friends getting married about all of the calls and chats that we had, they were so jealous because their DJ's didn't offer anything like that. During our ceremony the team absolutely crushed all of our special requests and twists. Two different engaged couples from our wedding have reached out to us since for our DJ companies contact information. Five Stars!!! Thank you!!

Dr. Beat Productions did not disappoint!

Wow! Dr. Beat Productions did not disappoint. Their event team set us up with the perfect DJ based on our vision and music preferences. Our DJ was Mike, He went above and beyond during the planning process and all of our guests kept asking where we found our DJ. He was professional, punctual, and gave 100%. Our MC Gene made sure our wedding ran smoothly and got our entire room on the dance floor quickly, which was our main priority. Shout out to Patty and the DBP team! Dr. Beat Productions absolutely blew us away!!

I honestly don’t even know where to Start!! Dr. Beat productions absolutely blew us away and exceeded anything we could have ever dreamed of!! The energy and professionalism throughout the whole wedding was more than we could have dreamed of. Weeks later people are still talking about how amazing our DJ was, from the music they played to keeping everybody on the dance floor all night. Our DJ Mike was absolutely amazing and we would give him 100 stars if we could!! Patty was so very helpful throughout the booking and planning process and made it so much easier than expected. They really delivered on everything they promised!! If you to have the most memorable night of your entire life, we highly recommend Dr. Beat!!

60th Birthday

Sal came to my rescue when it was last minute decision to have a party. And Sal called me and we had a meeting. Very professional and very personable. He goes out of his way to come and check that everything is set up good on the day of the party. I would highly recommend them.

We chose to hire Dr Beat based on our initial interactions with Patricia in their office, she was so genuinely helpful and shared so many great ideas with us. Our DJ Michael had the dancefloor packed all night and he created an amazing mix of our requests and party favorites. Our MC Gene was by our side all night and was such a great addition, our friends and family loved him. We couldn't have been happier with our entertainment vendor choice. Wedding DJ Review

Our wedding day was a total blur, but one of the things I remember most was dancing.... Our DJ Brian killed it and our MC Brian was a total joy from start to finish. We have very difficult and diverse family and they made everyone happy. Even our family that came from Ireland was on the floor all night. We also used their photo booth service, which was a huge hit with my family. I can't say enough great things about Doctor Beat, we highly recommend them to anyone searching for a wedding DJ.

A family affair

The team from dr beats did my sister’s wedding earlier this year and I knew that I had to hire them for my wedding. They definitely did not disappoint. Everything was perfect, especially that my sister and I have totally different music tastes. Our guest had so much fun the entire night, we even went an extra hour. I couldn’t imagine that a dj could make such a difference, but now I know. We thank you so much for everything and we’ll definitely be using you again for all of our future celebrations.

The best day of my life!

Mike was our DJ and Brian was our MC. They did an awesome job making sure our wedding was a blast. Brian was able to adjust in each moment and kept our party going. We felt so comfortable talking with him in our pre-event meetings and can’t thank both of them enough for creating such a special atmosphere for us. We also used their photo booth service, and our guests enjoyed taking pics that we were able to cherish forever. We highly recommend using Dr. Beat Products for your wedding!

Awesome DJ!!

Dr. Beat Productions was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We first met with Mike remotely to talk about our overall plans and vision, and later had a call with Sal to go over our music and lighting picks and ensure he was totally prepared for our wedding. My now husband and I have some strange tastes, but Sal found all of our weird little pirate songs and downloaded our entire playlist to make sure there wouldn't be any potential internet connection issues during our wedding. Sal and Rick were an excellent DJ-MC duo on the day! All of our music cues were hit perfectly, which helped make our whole wedding match the vision we had exactly. I admit I was a little nervous about the ceremony cues just because we used several songs throughout, including anime covers and Celtic instrumentals, but each cue was hit, each song was correct, and our ceremony had the exact vibe and emotional effect we were envisioning.
Throughout the night, Sal and Rick played an excellent mix of the music we asked for and party music to get people moving. People were up and dancing all over the room all night long; they really kept the party going!
The lighting we requested was the right color to match our theme, and the uplights added a beautiful ambiance to the whole room.
The photo booth was a huge hit the entire night! I never once saw it empty, and there was even a line for it a few times. The two attendants at the booth were friendly, fun, and made sure everyone in the booth was having a blast. Their energy was up the entire night! Even with how many people were in the booth all night, they never seemed tired or bored or ready to go. The provided props were a lot of fun, and they were cool with us bringing in extra props as well! The photo book with all the photo strips from the night is such a wonderful keepsake. It was so exciting going through it and seeing how much fun everyone was having!
All of our guests complimented the music and the photo booth, and they're still talking about it a couple weeks later! I would highly recommend Dr. Beat for any event, and we would absolutely use them again for a future event!

Post Wedding DJ Review

We hired Mike from Dr. Beat Productions to do our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the decision. After meeting with Mike we knew the most important thing to him was making sure that he understood our vision for the day. He listened and gave amazing ideas of what has worked in the past.

This guy simply is as professional and genuine as they come. From the moment our guests arrived for our ceremony, until the final dance everything was perfect. And as for the party...Dr Beat absolutely knows how to get a dance floor rocking. The dance floor was packed from the first song until the last. If you're looking for the best in the business, give Mike at Dr. Beat a call.. can't say enough good things about these guys.

NYE wedding

We loved them. They did exactly what we asked of them which we appreciated. Not every DJ will listen and they end up doing their own thing. We didn’t want a DJ that was too obnoxious so he was perfect. We talked about 2 weeks prior and felt good, went over everything and they have forms you fill out. One comment we got from different guests was they liked the music and played stuff for everyone…a nice variety! They also accommodated our after party and had a separate, smaller set up all ready to go prior to our guests making their way over after the reception.

The best night of my life!

My husband and I took our time and interviewed several DJ’s prior to our wedding. Each time we kept coming back to Dr Beat. Their attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm won us over. I’m so glad we chose them, as they really delivered! Every moment of our wedding day was pure magic. Our family and guests are still talking about how awesome our wedding was. Amazing party !

Michael and his team went above and beyond to accommodate every request we had for my mom’s surprise 60th disco themed party in the short 3 week time span we had to plan and execute the party. He curated music for the happy hour to create an amazing vibe and effortlessly switched into party mode, using not only the playlist we provided but used it to understand my mothers musical taste to blend his own choices of music that everyone loved. The transitions were phenomenal, the song selections were on point, the energy he brought throughout the night kept everyone dancing for virtually the entirety of the 5 hr party. So much so that no one wanted the party to end. On top of that, Michael’s Photo Booth partner made the photo booth experience unique for every photo, encouraged everyone to take a plethora of pictures to capture the memories of the evening, and worked seamlessly together with Michael to make the experience an 11 out of 10 for everyone. Highly, highly recommend Michael and his team for any event and will definitely be using them for any future events I have !

An Unforgettable Evening

We had Brian and Craig from Dr Beat at our wedding this past October. I’m an OCD planner of every detail and these guys passed my test! We planned our wedding remotely from Pennsylvania and the team from Dr. Beat Productions was amazing! Every detail of our wedding day was planned to perfection and they made good on every promise that they made. We really put a lot of faith and trust in them and they delivered. Micheal and Sal are the best! Michael was our DJ for an intimate 40-person wedding and he killed it. He's a pro and knew exactly how to keep the dance floor fun and alive.

Dr. Beat Productions was one of the best wedding vendors we worked with. They made things easier for us, really listened, remained flexible and responded to the audience to build on the fun. Also important to note: due to COVID, we postponed our wedding twice over the course of a year and a half. Michael and Sal were extremely flexible and understanding throughout the process. We love them!

Our Wedding with Dr. Beat Productions

Sal from Dr. Beat was the greatest vendor to work with. He checked in frequently to see if I needed music suggestions or planning help. He also gave us recommendations and insider tips for selecting just the right vendors. Our DJ was Mike and He was awesome!! So much energy and he made it so much fun for everyone. The photo booth was crazy all night, our friends loved it. I can't say enough great things, everything truly exceeded our wildest expectations!

A great time was delivered!

A Co-Worker recommended using Dr. beat Productions for our wedding, and I am so glad we did! From our first meeting I knew I was in good hands when meeting with Sal. He was amazing to work with from start to finish. They worked with us on the music for our ceremony, reception, gave us suggestions and guided us through the entire process with such kindness. Everyone had a blast dancing, Mike and Gene continued to keep the dancefloor packed all night. Far Beyond Expectations!!

Our DJ was absolutely outstanding!!!

Our wedding was wonderful, everyone had such a great time, and I truly believe it was because of Mike and Gene. Our guests started dancing as soon as they came into the room and never stop til the end of the night! They were able to make every aspect of the evening go so smoothly and did this with high energy the entire time! As a bride and groom, you want to be as stress-free as possible, if you hire Dr. Beat, I promise you'll be happy you did. The best night of our lives!

Dr. Beat was amazing, my husband and I could not be more happy with their services! The planning process was beyond easy and really organized. I especially loved the online portal which allowed us to upload all of our paperwork. Mike was our DJ for our wedding and he was so much fun! He played all of our requested songs and really read the vibe of the crowd and played songs accordingly. If we didn’t have to be out of there, we would’ve danced all night! I would 1000% recommend this company and especially Mike! Thanks a million for making our wedding the best night of our lives!

Dr. Beat did an amazing job at our wedding. Mike was great to work with and went over every detail with us to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. The music selection was perfect and our MC was great, getting everyone out of their seats! We also had a percussionist which added an extra element that we loved. We received many compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the music and particularly that they were still able to hear and have a conversation while the music was playing, which had been a concern of ours. A huge thank you to the whole Dr. Beat team for helping to make our wedding a day we will never forget!!

We first heard of Dr. Beat Productions after attending a friend's wedding, the entertainment was great! We were planning our wedding at that time and got the information from the bride & groom. From the first time we met with Sal we were thrilled to sign a contract. He was honest, gave you all of his time without rushing, and answered all questions and concerns. We did not even shop around because the prices were reasonable and we knew we were getting quality after seeing them at a wedding already. Communication with Sal was always open be it via e-mail, phone call, and even text message. We were lucky enough to have Mike assigned our DJ and Gene as our MC. We did not meet with Mike or Gene prior to our wedding however the information packet Sal had us fill out and return to him is VERY thorough. I personally sat with Sal and reviewed the form with him (about a month prior to the wedding) and all questions were addressed (absolutely no concerns). I spoke with Mike prior to the wedding once to ensure there would be a good mix of Latin music and American music. Mike was super receptive and pretty much told me he had everything under control. Fast forward to our wedding day. Mike and Gene were prompt and professional with all other vendors, with my guests, and with us. Gene approached us throughout the night to ensure we were having a good time and to ask us any questions he may have had. There were a few announcements I had forgotten to include on my original form and Gene added them in without any trouble during the reception. All of our guests were on the dance floor all night and even my 90 year old grandfather was up on his feet for at least one dance! To say we were happy with Dr. Beat Productions as our entertainment vendor is an understatement. We would go back and do it all over again the same way and would eagerly recommend them to any friends/family looking for entertainment at an event. Thank you Sal, Mike, and Gene for making our wedding day memorable!

Dr. Beat Productions was absolutely amazing, I could not say enough great things about their DJ services. Sal and his staff made the entire pre-wedding process incredibly smooth. Sal was always easy to communicate with and was on top of all of the details. Our MC Gene helped to get everyone organized for the introductions for the reception, He really made it so that I didn't even have to think about it, I could just enjoy the day. Our DJ Mike played our music selections in a perfect order and really read the crowd for what should come next. Sal recommended utilizing their photo booth services as well and it was so much fun!! They had so many props and also used an amazing idea of having the guests create a scrapbook for us with the photo booth pictures that they took. Now we have a beautiful scrapbook of our guests having the best time at our wedding.
I highly recommend using Dr. Beat Productions, I cannot write/say enough positive things about them.

We had the best time at our wedding! And we have DBP to thank :) They were incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating. Sal and Mike were great! Prior to the wedding, Sal always responded immediately to any inquiries we had and always kept us in the loop. We loved how affordable they were too. Being on a tight budget, that is very important. You really do get a lot for your money. We don't like "thumping" music where you can't hear yourself think and Sal really listened to us. It was very mellow. I could actually hear my guests speak to me which I was really worried about. Sal also did an outstanding job for our ceremony music. He used quality sound systems and actually found the one song that I wanted to walk down the aisle to which I was greatly appreciative for since it was not a known song but a song playing in the background of a movie scene I had heard.

Dr Beat Production led by Sal Grosso and his son Mike provided the entertainment for our wedding on 5/27/2012. The party was FABULOUS. Sal is a powerhouse DJ, Master of Ceremony, and all around entertainer! He provided tons of props including but not limited to brightly colored Maracas for all the guests, flower leis, Frank SInatra hats and so much more. Sal was everywhere exhorting the guests to merriment with various dances like a conga line, a circle of dancers kicking like Rockettes to the New York, New York song and so many other methods to liven up the party. He got everybody dancing including the reluctant folks. The dance floor was always jamming and we all had such a great time. Sal also introduced us at various times and introduced various sections of the event like announcing the wedding party, the first dance, cutting the cake, changing clothes... Sal also played music suitable for the crowd and even included some songs from each of our heritage, and was very highly tuned to the mood on the dance floor in order to vary the music to the genres and artists getting the most people on the dance floor. Sal paced the party along with the food service in such a way that 99% of the guests stayed until the very end of the party. We are never using anyone else for future events. If Sal is not there it is not a party!

DJ Dr. Beat is one of the most professional qualified DJs in NY. From meeting with us before the event to working behind the scenes with the other vendors during the event, Mike greatly exceeded any and all expectations of a DJ. Our guests were not the ‘dancing type crowd’ and we knew this going into the event. Mike and Sal succeeded in getting people on the dance floor the whole night. GREAT investment!!!! Not only did we enjoy working with this company but I loved them so much that now I intend to use them for other parties.

Sal, our main contact at Dr. Beat productions was very cool. He was professional, and he had every wedding scenario mapped out musically which created a trust factor for us in his djing ability. Plus he developed a great professional repore with my husband and I right off the bat...It was comforting...which is one of the reasons I would like to rehire them for my husband's surprise 30th.....ssssh....but as for our wedding....It was easy to tell that Sal really knew what he was talking about and my husband and I, as musicians felt that it was important to hire someone who not only used great equipment, but was musically flexible and covered the possibilities from all angles.

Not only that, Dr. Beat productions also came highly recommended from people that I trust and at the wedding itself they exhibited professionalism that made me certain we had made the right choice. The dance floor was continuously going, they played music from all genres...Sal personally dj'd our wedding along with his partner Mike.

They were well dressed, very friendly, crowd interactive...and they used state of the art intelligent lighting and dj equipment. They also handed out more favors then anticipated. I have to admit, it was really cool seeing my 76 year old great aunt cutting a rug on the dance floor having a blast with her shakers in hand....and even my 86 year old aunt was on the dance floor (wheel chair and all) getting spun around by cousins with her shakers in hand......those were just historic highlights to remember.....as well as the rest of the wedding...the guests had a fantastic time...

Amazing experience

From pre- communication Michael was super responsive, leading up to the actual day. We discussed every detail before. We were very specific in our requests and our wedding guests love to dance and I stressed that we wanted the good vibes and music pumping throughout the night, and Michael definitely delivered. Mike and Jean were awesome!

My husband and I used Dr. Beat Productions for our wedding this past Saturday and loved them! Even before the wedding, they responded to emails timely, worked around our schedule for meetings and gave us a very thorough checklist to go through detailing what we did and did not want at our wedding. The day of, they were there on time, the emcee came out to greet me prior to the reception to walk me through everything and came up to me during the event to check that all was going good. The dance floor was pumping throughout the event, my husband and I, two non dancers, were even on the floor more than we expected and everyone had a great time. I would've given 5 stars except that there were 2 small miscues with the music but no one noticed except us. Dr. Beat productions did a wonderful job at our wedding and I would highly recommend them to everyone!
