OBSESSED with The Downtown Collective. We had THE BEST Wedding day experience with them. We were told by friends who had booked this band, that they would blow us away and it's completely true. Thank you to Ether for the calls leading up to the day, Cornell for guiding us through the evening and the entire band for sharing their talent with all of our family and friends. It was a night we will never forget! -

The Downtown Collective were absolutely incredible to work with. From our initial inquiries to the very last song played at our reception, they were professional, responsive, engaged and excited.
All expectations were clearly detailed in our initial call, and the booking process was seamless. Their song catalog is massive, and they curated the perfect set for our wedding. The sound quality was insane and the talent, energy and creativity on display from the band was way above anything we have ever witnessed at a wedding (crowd engagement, props, the horns went up on the balcony to play for awhile). While many of our guests could not stop talking about how incredible the music and the dance floor was, I think one of our friends said it perfectly the day following the reception -
"Easily the best wedding band I've ever seen. They will be famous one day."

Best Band Ever!!!
I cannot recommend the Downtown Collective enough! They performed at our wedding and my husband and I both can agree they were one of the best decisions we made when selecting them for live music for our reception! They put so much time, effort and energy into their performance and made the entire night as our reception would definitely not have been the same without them!! The entire band is so talented, brought such a fun vibe & energy, kept the dance floor packed all night long and made sure everyone had a great time. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing and unforgettable the evening was all thanks to them! The band even let us end the night with them singing on stage :) If you’re debating between a dj or band, you 10/10 should book the Downtown Collective!! -

Hiring Downtown Collective was absolutely the single best decision we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, they were professional, kind, and completely on top of every detail. But nothing could have prepared us for how incredible they would be on the actual day.
What you see on their socials doesn’t even begin to do them justice. They brought so much energy and interaction that the dance floor was impossible to leave. From the first song to the very last, it was packed. I can’t tell you how many compliments we received from our guests about the band and the overall experience they helped create.
Beyond the music, they were also incredible MCs. They kept the entire evening flowing seamlessly and took so much pressure off me as a bride. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. They had every transition, announcement, and moment handled beautifully.
Downtown Collective was worth the investment a thousand times over. They made our wedding night magical, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. -

The Downtown Collective was the biggest hit of our wedding! They were incredible (both with coordinating/planning for the big day and performing the day of), and worth every single penny! During and after our wedding, so many people were coming up to us saying how amazing the band was. There were people on the dance from from the time the band started until the 3rd encore song! All band members are extremely talented and can play such a broad genre of music. Cannot recommend this band enough! Cornell is also amazing and was so easy to work with and helped make our day perfect.
10/10!!! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to throw the best party of their lives and have people dancing all night long! -

my husband and i decided to have a post covid reception for our 5 year anniversary and we found downtown collective and i started meeting with Cornell and after we talked, i just KNEW i needed them a part of our day. Cornell and Ether were so beyond helpful with the process and going over timelines for me. we chose to do the 6pc instrumental and it was the PERFECT vibe. people could eat, drink, all while our favorite songs were playing in the background via live music. their saxophone man is such a vibe and we kept getting continuous compliments on the music and the energy. if you want to spice it up from a DJ, please meet with Cornell, he is so sweet and you will NOT regretting booking them for your day. i kinda want to get divorced and then have a huge wedding so i can hire the band again but with more members and the vocalist -

About a year before our wedding, we saw Downtown Collective perform live. They were AMAZING, and we knew immediately that we wanted to book them for our big day. They were so great to work with throughout the planning process and made everything so easy for us!

Unquestionably Worth It!
When the decision was made to host a large wedding, one thing was certain—I had to secure the Downtown Collective Band. Little did I know, this choice would transform our evening into an unforgettable celebration! The buzz about 'the band' still lingers, with friends and family actively brainstorming events just to have an excuse to book them.
From the moment they set foot on stage, it was evident that they were not just performers but true professionals. Their polished appearance set the tone, and the unexpected delight of dancing with our guests between sets added an extra layer of engagement.
What set them apart even further was their proactive approach. Arriving at the reception, I felt an immense relief knowing they would expertly MC the event, ensuring everything flowed seamlessly according to plan. Their regular check-ins, filled with minimal questions and assurances that everything was right on schedule, demonstrated their commitment to excellence.
Opting for the package that included a photo booth turned out to be a stroke of genius. The booth became an enormous hit, surpassing all expectations.
In trying to capture the essence of our experience, this review falls short. The Downtown Collective Band is simply exceptional—beyond words. My encounter with them was nothing short of wonderful, and every penny invested in their services was unquestionably worth it.

Long story short, the Downtown Collective is fantastic. The best wedding band I have ever seen, and you should hire them yesterday for whatever even you're planning.
We had seen them play at a friend's wedding and new we had to ask if they could play our wedding. They drove 8 hours and played a fantastic show with passion, soul and skill despite all the travel. Nearly everyone stayed until the last song just to have once more dance which is something I have never seen before. I can not recommend them enough, if you want a band with energy, ability and improvisational ability look no further. They have a bead on the crowd and will adjust a setlist in order to keep the party going all night.
PAY THEM ALREADY!! THEY DESERVE IT! -

All I can say is WOW. Couples - RUN, do not walk to get this band booked for your wedding day. In fact, you should just change your date if they’re not available on your first choice. There truly is no comparison. They were high-energy, amazing sound quality, organized, checked every box for every request I had, and they kept the party flowing perfectly. Our dance floor was absolutely packed for more than four straight hours. We even added extra time because I just wasn't ready to leave. Even during their BREAKS, the band members were on the floor dancing with my guests!! I’ve never had so much fun in my life. They had to drag me and my husband off the floor to go cut our cake because I didn’t want to leave for even one song. I still can’t get over how amazing they were. Absolutely perfect!!! Thank you Downtown Collective for making our wedding day the most memorable time for me, my husband, and all of our guests. I’m still getting texts and compliments on it almost a week later. THANK YOU. I hope I see them at every wedding from here on out!! -

I had the pleasure of having TDC perform at our wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic! From the moment they started playing, they had everyone on their feet and dancing the night away. Not only did they nail all the classic wedding tunes, but their ability to adapt to different musical styles and genres was impressive, ensuring that everyone had a great time.
The communication with the band leading up to the wedding was seamless, and they were very accommodating to our requests. They truly added that extra special touch to our celebration and created unforgettable memories for us and our guests.

We could not recommend The Downtown Collective enough. We were blown away at how personal they were from the beginning (scheduling a phone call with us right away) until the end (meeting with us the week prior to make sure all of the details were worked out). Each set list was tailored to our preferences and our guests could tell. They told us that their song list was just a starting point, and additionally played a TON of songs that we shared that we loved. We received so many compliments and inquiries about the band throughout the evening and after! The dance floor was packed from the first song until the last song, and that is exactly what we wanted. The entire Downtown Collective Band was extremely fun and interactive with all of the guests throughout the night, which gave us exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. A guest shared that one of the band members even offered to show his son some of the instruments he was interested in during one of the band's breaks. We chose the gold package and definitely recommend the horns for an extra special evening and vibe! Thank you so much to Ether, Cornell, and the whole band for making our night SO fun and special! We thoroughly believe we made the best choice possible when it comes to the band at our wedding!!

A dream come true!
We have to start this out with a cliche statement: if you are on the fence about having The Downtown Collective play for your wedding, MAKE THE JUMP! Not only will you not regret this decision, you (and all of your wedding guests) will cherish the memories you make dancing to their music for years to come. TDC had family members from 13 to 85 on the dance floor, and friends from all corners of our lives (and the country, for that matter) dancing together like they’ve known each other a lifetime. And with good reason: the vocals, the instruments, the energy, EVERYTHING, was perfect. They also made sure the evening went just as planned—down to the minute—without a single hiccup. Our wedding day was nothing but a dream, in large part thanks to TDC.
Our experience with TDC was also incredible in the months leading up to our wedding. Ether was a dream to work with: he answered every question we had (FAST, too), helped us develop the perfect timeline, and learned enough about us from our conversations and form responses to curate the PERFECT set list with the band for wedding day. For all you out there planning, I know all the logistics can be stressful, but working with TDC takes a significant amount of that burden off your shoulders.
To have TDC with us and our friends and family on wedding was worth every single penny, and the memories we made are utterly priceless. We will never forget the joy you brought us, Downtown Collective! THANK YOU!

Downtown Collective blew our expectations out of the water. Downtown Collective absolutely ROCKED our wedding on April 2, 2022! Everything about them was incredible, but I’ll highlight a few that stood out to us in particular:
Professionalism:
- Each and every member of the band was polite, prompt, engaging, and genuinely excited to be there. When you’re planning a wedding or other large event, it’s so refreshing to have vendors who are so professional that you know you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Communication:
- The band’s leader, Ether Saure, is extremely organized and communicates VERY well. Every part of the process, from booking to the day of the event, was 100% seamless and efficient. He reached out 6 weeks prior to our event and scheduled a conference call to go over all of the night’s details. Every time we reached out to him, he responded very promptly. All in all, it made us feel so at ease knowing that everything was taken care of well in advance.
Sound:
- This band sounds INCREDIBLE. I can’t even describe it. We’ve been to dozens of weddings over the past few years, and no wedding band we’ve ever heard even holds a candle to Downtown Collective. It’s so fun to get texts days/weeks after the wedding from guests, talking about how our wedding band was by far the best band they’ve ever heard live (wedding or not!). We come from a family of professional musicians, and every single one of them raved at how amazing the band sounded.
Energy/Fun:
- Perhaps most importantly, Downtown Collective had the dance floor jam packed from the first song to the last song. Wedding guests from their 20s to their 90s were breaking it down for hours on end. People told us they’ve never had so much fun at a wedding in their lives.
Emcee Skills:
- Downtown Collective has two lead singers, Ether and Cornell, both of whom are extraordinarily talented emcees. They navigated through our wedding reception program with ease, and had the crowd engaged and laughing at all times.
All in all, choosing Downtown Collective was absolutely the best decision we could have made. We are so thankful to Ether and the whole crew for being such an amazing part of our wedding night!

Downtown Collective just played at our wedding and hiring them for our big day was one of the best decisions we could have made!! They were absolutely amazing and the dance floor was packed throughout the night! We definitely recommend including the brass section, it amped every song up to the next level! They played such a wide range of music and kept the energy of the crowd up. We had so many people (of all ages) come up to us just to compliment the band. We already know that the music and dancing will be one of if not the only things people will remember from our wedding over the years!
They were just as great to work with as they were to listen to. Ether made everything so easy and stress free throughout all of the planning working up to and especially on the big day. He kept the reception running smoothly and made sure that we got all of the big events done on time without a hitch. Even our venue made sure to let us know that they loved working with the band to make our day happen! We always knew we wanted a live band over a DJ, but Downtown Collective surpassed every dream and expectation! We can't recommend them enough!!! -

Our wedding reception would not have been the same or nearly as much fun without the Downtown Collective. Prior to our big day Ether reached out, he was so helpful putting together a game plan and listening to the vibe we were going for. Every single communication I had leading up to our wedding was very professional. I worked with Ether, who know exactly what he was doing and all the right questions to ask. This band was an absolute HIT at our wedding. I can’t tell you how many people asked who the band was and where they were from. Almost a month later and people are STILL talking about how great the band was.
