Downtown Bridal has an amazing selection of dresses for any style! The entire staff is extremely professional and helpful, making the entire process as smooth as possible. We were able to find a dress under my budget and even had custom sleeves built out for a very reasonable price. Maria is an excellent seamstress and did incredible work on the alterations. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and dress. -

I will be honest - I didn't start with the highest of hopes. I had a strict budget (in comparison to typical wedding dress prices) and I am a larger plus size person (Roughly a 3X or 4X). I was anticipating good service but to not find my dress and to come out with my self confidence in tatters but I was quickly proven wrong!
Service:
The person who helped us was very nice and put me at ease right from the get-go. She listened to what I was looking for and took everything I said into consideration. We grabbed some dresses to start with and as I was trying them on and giving my opinion/feedback, she would run off, grab a dress, and run back. 10/10 she nailed what I was looking for each time. None of the dresses she brought back missed the mark. I had also requested that even though I was sure I would end up in a A-Line, that I wanted to make sure I tried on at least one Ball Gown and one Fit-and-Flare. She helped make sure that happened and with the Fit-and-Flare (which I kinda knew wasn't going to look good on me but I wanted to make sure) she went out of her way to find one in my size so I could properly see what that style looked like.
Options:
I was convinced they wouldn't have a ton of things in my size (and as a result able to even try on) let alone in my size and in my budget (I wanted to try to keep my dress under 1k) but they actually had a LOT to choose from. I think I tried on about 12-16 dresses that day and all of them were within 1-2 sizes of my size in BOTH directions. (The one I ended up with was actually 1-2 sizes too big for me!). Some of the ones I tried on were in my price range because they were like the "last season" sale ones but a lot were truly at full price just in my budget! This was also from just one section of a much larger store - I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a dress because they have simple budget friendly beautiful all the way up to sky's-the-limit glam.
This was my first and last stop looking for a dress - it's a two hour drive for me but worth every minute and every stop at a traffic light on the way. -

I was paired with Natalie for my dress shopping experience and cannot say enough great things about it. My experience was absolutely amazing. Natalie listened to what I liked and didn't like, went with my vision and helped me find the perfect dress. She made me feel comfortable and confident and I didn't think twice about her feedback. After going to another shop after Downtown, I called them an hour before they were closing and they were nice enough to squeeze me in so I could officially say "YES TO THE DRESS." I would highly recommend the shop but ESPECIALLY Natalie. I truly believe she was part of making that experience so special to me. -

Downtown Bridal was the first bridal salon I shopped in, and it was such a lovely experience that set the bar for the rest of my dress shopping. The store itself is gorgeous with such a variety of designers and styles. Felicia was my consultant and she rocked it. Since it was my first appointment, she let me pick some styles I was curious about and made suggestions that she thought would fit what I described to her. Overall, my favorites from the day were the dresses she suggested. At no point did I feel pressured to purchase and was encouraged to take my time in selecting a dress, which is not the case everywhere. -

We had a flower girl dress dilemma (from a previous store) and were in need of a new dress quickly, so we had to buy off the rack. The staff was very helpful in finding dresses they had in stock to fit our beautiful little girl. We were Very pleased with this shop! -

Where to start. My initial experience trying on my dress and finding the one was amazing. I wish I remembered the name of the person that assisted me, but I don't think she works there any longer. She was very professional and enthusiastic about helping me try on and find my dress. The whole fitting experience for me however was a nightmare. My dress fit perfect- I was able to buy a size with minimal alterations needed, but the head seamstress at Downtown Bridal was extremely rude and arrogant. She made comments here and there that were nasty during my fittings, and seemed to sweep right over any of my opinions in response to MY dress that I paid for, for MY wedding day. When they took out the seams on the side of my dress and sew it back up the job was done poorly and sloppy. The next time I came to try on my dress there was a huge bulging seam that happened to hit right where my hip bone fell- which made this mistake very obvious to everyone but the seamstress. She argued with my mom and I about it, saying my hips were just uneven (I am a size 0-2- I don't even have hips) and that was why the fabric was laying the way it it was. Funny- because the first time we came in the dress fit just fine until they messed with it. The way they adjusted it the whole front of the dress layed lopsided (unacceptable) and not because of my hips, and everything to do with whoever took the dress apart to make a poor attempt at fixing it. Whenever we approached the seamstress about anything having to do with the way we wanted something she snapped back at us with attitude and made it seem like she was going to do what she wanted regardless of what we thought about it. It got to the point where I was in tears at one point. This is supposed to be a happy positive experience that you only receive once in a lifetime. It ended up being that we had to get the owner of the store involved in the fitting process- who also agreed the dress was not laying right and it wasn't because of my hips. The third time I came back i dealt with a younger seamstress who was also getting married soon. She was very helpful, and understood exactly where I was coming from. We scheduled my dressed to be steamed, pressed, and picked up on a certain date three days before the wedding. My mother arrived at the store expecting to grab it and go, and the dress had not been pressed or steamed. This is unacceptable. She had to wait three hours for someone to do it while she sat there and lucky is it was the same awful seamstress we dealt with before giving my mom attitude for hanging around while she steamed the dress. The reasons he waited around and watched is because we didn't trust the head seamstress. Once I received my dress there were a few loose gemstones but obviously nothing I could do at that point. If you want to deal with a less then stellar experience with something like your wedding dress then this is your place. If you want a happy, personal, and great experience I would go somewhere else. I also feel that someone should address the head seamstress' attitude problem- as this is going to cause you many reviews like this.
