We absolutely loved our wedding cake from Doughmain! It was exactly what we wanted and tasted great too! We got had a three tier cake with 2 different flavors. The first was a yellow cake with lemon and buttercream filling and the other was chocolate cake with raspberry and chocolate ganache or mousse filling (not sure which).The price was a bit high, but I really wanted gum paste flowers instead of the icing flowers so I was willing to pay more for that. The best part about the cake was that it was beautiful and there was no fondant on the cake anywhere! This was a huge plus for us because my husband and I both didn't want fondant and other bakeries refused to make a 3 tier cake without fondant. Overall, we are very pleased with our wedding cake and can't wait to eat it again for our 1 year anniversary :)

I am still obsessed with our wedding cake. After talking to another baker who was unwilling to try the swirled frosting design I had my heart set on, I proceeded with caution to Doughmain. From the moment we walked in the door to do a tasting, they put me at ease. Swirly frosting? No problem. The cake was absolutely STUNNING. Not only that, it was absolutely delicious. Three months later, I still have friends asking about it. Our cake top will not make it to a year in the freezer. I have every intention of going back to Doughmain and using them for family events in the future. I was incredibly happy with their service and their work.

They are wonderful. The cake was just what we wanted with all different flavors! All the guests loved it. Even our anniversary cake was still moist and delicious!!!

Doughmain Bakery was part of our catering package through Conner Catering for our wedding at The Old Mill. We met David at our cake tasting and he was great to work with. All of the sample cakes and fillings tasted amazing! David has a few books with cake decorating options but we sent him a picture of what we wanted and he created it for us! Our cake looked beautiful and tasted even better! We highly recommend Doughmain Bakery!

Amazing!!!!! Our cake was beautiful and delish!!!!Just perfect!!!! They are also so nice, I believe we met with John (why am I drawing a blank with his name?? sorry)....He was so helpful, and made our tasting so much fun!!!!!

David is the owner of Doughmain Bakery. He is amazing! Our daughter wanted a tiffany box cake and I wanted it to taste great. He delivered on all counts. We tried other bakeries in the area but his cake won hands down with all my kids! I would highly recommend Doughmain to anyone wanting an amazing cake and deal with a pleasant professional. He even had the courtesy to call me the week before the wedding to let me know the store would be closed but didn't want me to call and be concerned. I live out of the area and very much appreciated his being so considerate. If we have any future weddings in the area I will definitely be using Doughmain! Sincerely, Kim

We received Dough Main's contact from our caterer and after a cake tasting session we knew they would be great. The cake looked amazing and tasted even better. We were able to easily do a different cake flavor for every tier so guests could easily find something that they enjoyed. The staff is amazing, talented, and passionate about what they do. Since they had a great relationship with our caterer, delivery of the cake couldn't have been easier. Even though their bakery might look small, don't be fooled- you will be extremely satisfied with your decision.

The cake was awesome. Our tasting was delicious and the staff is so nice. I change my mind about the cake after my tasting and they said it was no problem. The cake was exactly what I wanted and it was good!

Doughmain bakery did an amazing job!!! David was very open to our ideas and the cake looked beautiful!!! We received positive feedback about the look and taste of the cake from our guests.

David designed a beautiful cake for my wedding. He incorporated the colors of my wedding in a unique way and he was very flexible to work with. The cake also tasted delicious; many guests said it was amazing!

Our wedding cake was absolutely fabulous! Everyone commented on how amazing it looked and especially how delicious it was! Our cake tasting was so much fun and I was thrilled at how our colors came to life on our cake...I wanted it to be mahogany and gold but was afraid the gold would be too yellow. However, Doughmain bakery used one of our swatches and matched it perfectly! Also- we wanted ceremonial challah bread for our reception and Doughmain bakery made it happen and delivered the loaves of bread along with our cake. Our cake was just absolutely delicious. We can't wait to eat the top piece on our 1st anniversary!

Doughmain was not my first choice when it came to my wedding cake; however, after addressing my concerns with David, the owner, all I can say is Thank You for a job well done. Our wedding cake was gorgeous, delicious and very moist. David was very easy to work with, flexible with my husband and I, as well as worked with the venue/caterer to make sure everything with our cake was done right. I'm a big sweets person (dessert before dinner...lol) and am very picky when it comes to my desserts. I must say we were extremely pleased with our wedding cake and I can't wait for our first anniversary to have our anniversary layer. Thanks David!

Very easy to work with! Our cake tasting was so fun and delicious it was hard to choose which flavor we wanted! The cake turned out beautifully exactly what I pictured! We received many compliments on its appearance and taste! I got married on my birthday and Dough Main even gave me a complimentary birthday cake!!

DoughMain Bakery provided us with a beautiful wedding cake that I thoroughly enjoyed smashing into my husband's face :-) The people there were very easy to deal with and all the samples we tasted were delicious!!

This was the bakery that my wedding venue uses exclusively so I didn't choose them, but all the cakes we had at our tasting were delicious. My wedding cake was also delicious and decorated nicely- I gave a picture of a cake I liked in a magazine to my venue, and it was duplicated nicely. The only change I would make is the wedding cake was supposed to have red flowers on it. The flowers on my wedding cake were actually brown, which was not what I requested. I didn't work with the bakery directly on this so I don't know if it was them or my venue that experienced a miscommunication. Either way it still looked nice and tasted good.

My cake was part of my wedding package. When I showed a picture of the cake I wanted, of course it would cost more. So I went in to look at what kind of cakes would be included in the package. Looking at the intricate designs that were included, I have no idea why the draping design that I wanted would cost more. Despite this, I decided to pay extra to get the cake that I wanted. It did not come out at all like I was expecting. I get that they probably weren't making much money on this cake since it was part of a package, but that's not my fault. I paid extra to get a beautiful cake and I was completely unimpressed with what I got. I also paid extra to have the pearlized effect, but the draping wasn't sprayed with the pearl color, so it looked like it was slapped on as an afterthought. In addition, it looked like they didn't use enough fondant for the draping effect, so it looked too short. Whenever I spoke to the baker about the cake, he seemed to be irritated to have to speak with me. On the up side, they do make a fantastic tasting cake, so if you're not picky about the design, definitely use them. I highly recommend the banana cake. When we tasted it we loved it, but everyone tolod us we were crazy to go with banana and we should pick a more popular flavor. So we did one tier banana and the rest vanilla. At the end of the night people were trying to hunt down more pieces of banana cake because it was such a huge hit. So if taste is more important to you than friendliness or design, then you should use DoughMain.
