  Amazing Team & Experience!

  Stephanie and her team at the DoubleTree were absolutely wonderful!! I could not have asked for more from them. We had to move our wedding due to the pandemic and they were so flexible and helpful throughout the process. They thought of everything and really helped us to figure it out and navigate the changes. The food was amazing, everyone raved about it! The space was beautiful, and the day went smoothly. I cannot thank your team enough for everything you did for us!! It was a pleasure to work with you all!!

  Stephanie was amazing throughout the entire process of having to reschedule my wedding with 2 months to go. She was quick to respond and very accommodating with me having to plan with her over the phone/Skype since I live in wyoming. Everything looked beautiful and I am still getting compliments on the food. It was everything I imagined and more, and I highly recommend them for any of your wedding needs.

  We just want to thank you and your staff for the wonderful Job you did on our wedding day.   We booked this hotel for our guests. The staff that worked with us were very good and the rooms were beautiful. The wedding party and family stayed at this hotel they each had a great time.

  I cannot say enough about the service, professionalism and personal care we received from the Double Tree on Concord Pike for our daughters wedding. The food was presented beautifully and was delicious, the venue decorated tastefully and elegantly, They incorporated all the personal items we provided and were so magnificent to work with

  I thought the hotel did an excellent job. They were extremely flexible and just wanted me to be happy. Polly, the catering manager, was amazingly helpful and responsive and such a sweetheart. I am very pleased.

  I truly can't say enough about the Doubletree. The reception was wonderful and went off without a hitch. Meredith, who was our coordinator, was amazingly responsive throughout the entire event. She helped us build the reception perfectly, offering many vendor recommendations and ideas to add the final touches to the experience. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been better either. The flower vendor unfortunately did not deliver the flowers to the girls as we were promised, but the hotel staff turned the place over to get us what we needed.

Many of the guests gave us their two cents on the meal while speaking to them and it was all positive. The wait staff did an amazing job at keeping things moving and clean. Finally, if our guests had a go-to drink for the night, the bartender had it ready and waiting for them as they approached the bar.
  
  Again, thank you to all the staff that made our event everything that it should have been.

  We chose the Doubletree Wilmington for our hotel room block, because they had free parking, and a shuttle to/from Winterthur. When I checked in, my hotel room smelled like smoke, but the hotel quickly upgraded me to a suite for the whole weekend, at no extra cost. They allowed the hotel bar to stay open later to accommodate our guests after the reception. We also chose to host a morning after breakfast, which was delicious and well worth the money!

  The DoubleTree Hotel provided fantastic service. My wedding coordinator there, Ashley, was so helpful and accomodating. She was so nice to work with and did everything with a smile. The food was amazing and the choices were fantastic. It was very convenient to have my reception at the hotel where we could hang out in the bar area with everyone afterwards then go up to our bridal suite. There were several people walking around making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. My experience was perfect!

  I lived having my wedding here. Good value. One minor problem was tgat my 20 year old brother tried to get served and they made a big scene of it and he felt uncomfortable for the rest of the night. I understand they shouldn't serve kids under age but come on, it's a wedding and he's my brother. He is a good kid and they really handled in inprofreshionally.

  The staff person we were originally working with kept us in the dark about their covid restrictions. Wasn't until we started working with Chakira when we found everything out (weeks before our wedding). Chakira was very attentive and worked hard to make our day special.
  
  Was disappointed with the manner in which our reception space was set up. Linen had large spots on them. Most of the table cloths were extremely wrinkled and just thrown on.   Was disappointed with the manner in which our reception space was set up. Linen had large spots on them. Most of the table cloths were extremely wrinkled and just thrown on. And we had to request for the carpet to be vacuumed. Good thing is that this was noticed the night before (when we went in to decorate). My planner reached out to Chakira about the issue. Chakira had everything resolved by the morning of our wedding. The inconvenience was that since we had to wait for the linen to be replaced, my planner and bridal party had to wait until the morning of to put out the table decor.
  
  The night before the wedding there was a freezing rain store. Several times that night guests kept reporting to the front desk that the parking lot was really slippery. They kept saying that someone was on the way to put down salt. Apparently that person never showed up as the parking lot was still full of ice. A family member actually fell in the parking lot. When we reported it to the front desk the response was "sorry, the parking lot is icy. It was an unforseen event. Would you like a band-aid?" The news had been reporting a freezing rain storm all day. I dont see how that was unforseen. And the person had skinned their entire forearm so we were going to need more than just a band-aid.
  
  Loved Chakira's work but disappointed with the work of the other department of the hotel that were involved.
  
  The food was AMAZING! The chef did a great job with everything. Really nice guy too.
  
  If this review was only based on Chakira and the Chef... it would have been A+++. But taking the other factors into consideration leaves me with mixed feelings.

  The comments I received from my guest validated my experiences of enjoying my wedding. The staff attending to the needs to myself, husband, and guests was outstanding. The tone of the environment was soft and quaint. The suggestions from the staff to make this event memorable was very helpful. I did not have one complaint. The food was good, the environment was clean.
