Fabulous venue and party!
Many thanks to Nick Magliato and his team at DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown. Our wedding party was everything we had hoped for. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the event came off without a hitch. Corinn was especially helpful in the weeks prior to the party – giving advice and taking care of all the small details we would not have thought of. Norma shepherded the event from start to finish, and Jessie and Jessica were very helpful with hotel reservations, etc. Also, the cake from Homestyle Desserts Bakery was beautiful and delicious! We recommend DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown highly as this was a fabulous venue and party! -

Wonderful!
We just had our wedding at the DoubleTree in early May. The event went on without a hitch. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible. It was clear that they know what their doing and have everything down so things go smoothly. We really wanted to have our ceremony at the gazebo but the weather had other plans. The staff worked with us to create a back up option (the covered terrace) that was just as beautiful and ended up being perfect. The space is beautiful and the food is delicious. We were really impressed and loved everything. -

Taking some stress off of planning!
My fiancé and I will be getting married at the DoubleTree Tarrytown in June 2019. From the start Nick has made us very comfortable in our selection, emails are always promptly responded to (and I've sent plenty of random sometimes panicky questions as soon as they pop in my head). Can't wait for June! -

The Double Tree went above and beyond what I could have imagined for our wedding day and truly made it the wedding of my dreams. I can honestly not say enough amazing things about Nick and his team on how accommodating, friendly, and professional they are to a picky bride like myself. They are complete "Yes" people. If you wanted it done they will do everything in their power to get it done no questions asked. I had a 300 guest wedding at the double tree and I brought in a lot of rentals and was very particular about how I wanted everything set up. While most venues in the area that I considered had several rules and stipulations about this The Double Tree was more then happy to accommodate us and help with the set up and break down of all items. The venue looked absolutely stunning when I walked in the night of the wedding and the courtyard area for cocktail hour was such a great feature that all our guests enjoyed on a beautiful fall day. Again special thank you to Nick for accommodating my Father-in-laws special request to have lamb shanks at cocktail hour. Our guest LOVED the food and said it was some of the best food that they have had at a wedding venue!
Another very special thank you to Maria the reservation manager for helping coordinate the large room block that we had for our big day as well! Everyone at check in was so hospitable and friendly and they even offered me and my bridal party one of the conference rooms to do all our hair and makeup in the morning of the wedding which worked out perfectly!
Nick is not only a very personable friendly person but throughout the entire planning process he was always very quick to answer any questions I had and is very thorough to ensure that everything goes smoothly for your big day. This is a huge plus for any bride planning a big wedding.
The Double Tree went above and beyond what I could have imagined for our wedding and I highly recommend this venue to anyone. -

My wedding day was perfect. Everything turned out as expected and I felt well taken care of by the staff at DoubleTree. Linda was a great help the day of and took care of a near crisis with missing floral arrangements. She also made sure that we had everything we needed while getting ready. The food was a hit and we are still receiving compliments. I have nothing to complain about and that says a lot -

The DoubleTree in Tarrytown was far and away the best venue choice for our wedding this past August. My wife and I saw many places as options but Nick, Linda and Maria at the DoubleTree were way too accommodating and made the choice easy for us.
Nick never took more than 5 minutes to reply to any e-mail (and trust me we sent him LOTS of e-mails). We had multiple questions at all times and he was always incredibly patient and happy to help. When it was time for us to make a decision he never pressured us to choose a date or make a decision. As a result he felt more like a helpful friend than a salesman for his hotel.
Once we decided to go with the DoubleTree, Nick was basically our wedding coordinator and he did not disappoint. When he told us he couldn't be there the day of our wedding ( a situation that would normally terrify many couples) he immediately met with us and introduced us to Linda who had already been briefed on all the countless details of the wedding. The handoff was flawless and we could easily tell we were in good hands.
Linda and Nick together made sure our big day went off without a hitch. The banquet hall was great for our reception, the courtyard was stunning for our wedding ceremony and we used two different conference rooms for various other functions throughout the weekend and everything was handled as expected. We faced no surprises and there were literally no issues whatsoever.
We also had blocked off around 80 rooms for our family and friends for the weekends and there was never once any issue with Maria and the sales team concerning bookings and charges. They were always willing to discuss any concerns we had about specific family concerns for what type of rooms we needed for different family members and whatnot.
They also worked well with all of our vendors and had separate meetings before the big day with our decorator and caterer to make sure everyone was in sync.
Bottom line: The DoubleTree in Tarrytown was perfect! -

My husband and I had the most outstanding experience with the Doubletree of Tarrytown. We lucked out as we randomly chose the venue since they were available on April 11 and they were located 1 mile from our church. We had a vision and they made it a reality. Nick Magliato was our coordinator, we started as clients and left as friends! He always reassured me that there was plenty of time and that he would take care of everything and he kept true to his word. We customized our wedding to fit both my husband and myself, Nick accommodated for all of our needs and wants. Living in Michigan and planning a wedding in NY would be stressful for many people, but knowing that the Doubletree team was just a phone call or email away eased any worries.
RECEPTION ROOM: Everything was flawless!! Each decoration, table, and centerpiece were placed exactly how it was planned.
FOOD: We had hors devouers during cocktail hour and a cocktail reception with multiple stations. The presentation was perfect, the food was hot and im still getting compliments on how tasty everything was.
DRINKS: The drinks were flowing all night. The wait staff ensured that all guests were hydrated with full glasses of water and wine throughout the night. We were allowed to bring microbrews from Michigan as we wanted a "taste of Michigan" for our guests.
We were blessed to have worked with Nick, Norma, Maria, Aviva, and the wait staff. I cannot say enough great things about each of them. I wouldn't change ONE thing!!
I HIGHLY recommend the Doubletree Hilton of Tarrytown to any couple that would like their dreams to come true.
Thank you a million times!!!! -

My husband had been to a few events at the double tree before, and when we got engaged he suggested we stop by. I'm so glad we did. We met with the GM, and Kim - both were very nice and listened to our wishlist. Kim worked with us from day one to make our vision come to life.
The day of our wedding, my suite wasn't ready (hotel was booked the night before), and I was freaking out. She swiftly came to the rescue, giving my bridal party and I a temporary space to settle into. She asked if I was hungry (of course I was - wedding diet was crazy) and asked me what I wanted. She hand delivered my odd request - Smoked salmon, bacon, coffee and blueberries.
The food at our reception was AH-MAZING. All of our guest raved about the menu. We had food stations - Southern (complete with shrimp and grits), Italian, Korean BBQ, and All American (The brisket was by far the hit of the night). Unlike many non sit down weddings, there was never a line. We had TWO stations for each type of food. Our guests ate and drank all night. The entire staff was professional and courteous - and anything I needed, they provided.
After the reception, the bar stayed over for us and we continued to party the night away.
The next day, I was at breakfast and one of the bell hops came over to me and complimented me on my dress from the day before. He also asked me if I was wearing orange shoes. I was. He said ok and left. 5 mins later, he shows up with my very expensive wedding shoes and says - we found these. (Yes, I had a bit too much to drink and kicked off my shoes in some corner). I was so happy.
My guests and I had a wonderful time. -

The Doubletree was a wonderful setting for our wedding reception. The food was delicious, they served our "His & Hers" cocktails and were able to accommodate a nut, seafood and lactose allergy! The staff was wonderful during the planning and the day of the wedding, they worked wonderfully with our other vendors and the wedding went perfectly. We also created a room block and I loved that our guests could walk right up to their room after the wedding. -

My husband and I got married at the DoubleTree hotel on Labor Day weekend and cannot begin to explain how happy we are with our choice in going with the DoubleTree (and how much our guests enjoyed it)! From the moment you step into those doors, the DoubleTree works with you on everything - the price, the ceremony setup, the food - just about everything!
Nick Magliato is every bride's dream come true for a wedding coordinator.
I wanted to customize my wedding menu, he made it happen. I asked about having local beers from my husband and my hometowns (NY and Washington State), he made it happen. I wanted to have the reception room setup a certain way (different than normal setups), he made it happen. Every email about the details I wanted (and I wrote a lot of emails...), he kept track of so on the day of the wedding there were no issues...no missed details...just extremely pleasant surprises of all the additional above and beyond things the DoubleTree staff went through on the wedding day.
There are people who say they want to make your wedding the best day of your life, and then there are people who actually make your wedding the best day of your life. Nick Magliato and the DoubleTree team are those people. -

My wedding at the Doubletree was absolutely amazing in every way! The staff is very friendly and was willing to work with me to accommodate my vision and preferences for the wedding day.
Linda Ferone took the time to get to know my me and fiancé as well as my family personally and guide me in the decision making process. She put me at ease on the day of the wedding and her dedication to make everything run smoothly was evident. I am so grateful to her and the staff at Doubletree for an amazing wedding! -

We had our wedding at the Tarrytown DoubleTree in July and cannot say enough wonderful things about the planning of and day of our wedding. We found everyone we dealt with at the Tarrytown DoubleTree kind, accommodating and genuine in every interaction.
Linda is tops! We viewed several venues before visiting the Tarrytown DoubleTree. Upon our first interaction with Linda, we knew we had to have our wedding with her. She truly listened to us and heard what we liked/ didn't like, etc. Linda got to know us as a couple and made herself available to talk anytime we needed. She always had answers to our questions. She made sure the day-of flowed smoothly and that we had everything we needed. Everything about our reception was just perfect. From the cocktail hour to dinner – every detail was tended to and every request was met. Brunch the next morning was out of this world – we had a beautiful meal with our family and friends out on the Grand Terrace.
We appreciate all Linda did to coordinate a beautiful wedding day. She definitely went above and beyond for us on several occasions and we are truly grateful.
A special thank you to Maria was terrific in booking our room block. The day of, Norma was absolutely phenomenal in making sure our reception ran beautifully. The special attention she and the staff paid paired with their focus on us and our guests’ needs was just fantastic. Norma made sure we ate (which couples don’t often do on their wedding day), she made sure to get us a bag of candy from our candy bar and refilled our table with chocolate covered strawberries that had accidentally been cleared.
Thank you to the phenomenal staff at the Tarrytown Double for making our wedding day so special!

I would highly recommend the Tarrytown DoubleTree Hotel as an event venue to anyone! To Nick and team, thank you for making our day so easy. You are so easy to work with, put us at ease all day, and with every aspect of our wedding reception. The space is beautiful, the food was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, the staff at our wedding (Norma, thank you for everything)… just everyone and everything was perfect. All our guests made a point to tell either us or our parents that they loved the venue and that the FOOD was especially delicious. We can't thank you enough for the incredible work you did on our wedding. -

I do not have enough words to express my absolutely amazing wedding that was held at the Tarrytown Doubletree on July 14th. First of all, Linda Ferone the Director of Catering, is one of the most amazing people I have ever come into contact with. She made sure everything I requested and everything I asked for get accomplished. She told me from the day I signed my contract "I will make sure your day is perfect"...I wish I just took her word for it then because she really did make my day magical and perfect.
The Grand Ballroom is gorgeous, the food was outstanding, the drinks were free-flowing and the party went on...past the time we were supposed to be out, however, at the last minute when my husband did not want it to end, Leslie, my banquet manager, accomodated us.
I HIGHLY reccomend you to check the Doubletree out for your wedding...I can absolutely without a doubt say that you will be impressed.
LINDA, MARIA, NORMA, LESLIE, LIZ----Thank you so so much, you helped to create my vision a reality.

We had a our reception at the DoubleTree, and about 80 of our guests stayed at the hotel that weekend. Everything about it was wonderful! I worked with Kim for over a year and she was very attentive through the whole process when it came to answering phone calls and emails from a nervous bride. At booking, we weren't thrilled with the cocktail area for the Westchester Ballroom (but actually visited again later and it would have been fine) so Kim gave us a selection of three different beautiful areas where we could have the cocktail hour. Kim was also able to upgrade us to the Grand Ballroom for free since it wasn't booked on our event day!
Kim met with me the day before the wedding to pick up all of our items for cocktail hour (place cards, guestbook, etc) and set them up exactly as I asked.
The day of the wedding was perfect - Kim opened up our cocktail hour (and open bar) 15 minutes early since we made it back from our pictures earlier than expected. Everything looked beautiful, the food was spectacular, and Norma the maitre d' was so attentive the whole night. We could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding!

WOW!!! We had our wedding here two weeks ago and could not have been happier. Nick Magliato and Maria Troche were wonderful to work with throughout the year leading up to it. The hotel was perfect for us - the space, the service, the attention to detail! It is beautiful and rustic. Our guests were so impressed with the food as well. They worked with our theme and preferences and everything came out exactly as we had planned and asked. The servers and maitre d' - also wonderful. Great customer service all around. I felt like a princess. The hotel bar stayed open late and was so much fun for the after party. We were given a junior suite to stay in on our wedding night and were greeted with a bottle of champage and snacks - everything was perfect from start to finish and we continue to get an immense amount of compliments from our guests. THANK YOU SO MUCH DOUBLETREE!! -

I can't thank Linda enough for all her hard work. She is truely amazing. She got every detail down to getting my husband is own cesar salad. I am going to miss working with her now that my wedding is over. I wish I could rate the hotel staff with the same remarks. We had some room issues on how clean the rooms were and heat issues as well. The hotel was quick to help fix the problem even at 2:00 in the morning. -

I had my wedding and reception at this hotel and it was such a pleasant experience. Nick was awesome to say the least. He was always responsive and accomodated us with all of our requests. I believe that with any wedding the bride and groom both have to be on top of hotel accomdations and making sure that things get done properly. I don't think that if something does not go perfectly it should be blamed on the hotel or its staff. You also have to be responsible and make check lists accordingly. -

I'll admit that at first I was against the idea of getting married at a hotel, but the DoubleTree in Tarrytown has such a unique vibe to it, that I gave in :) The lobby feels almost like a wood lodge and the event space is great -- large open windows and a beautiful courtyard. We were fortunate that we could have our ceremony outside and really loved everything about our wedding. -

While I love this location and it was truly the best place for my wedding and guest accomidations. Certain people I worked with made it more than difficult to have an easy event. Luckily my planner Dorothy and the banquet manager Norma worked wonders together and truly made this an unforgettable day. Norma is extremely helpful and accomidating. The staff was attentive the whole time I was there and my out of towners loved the hotel as well. The food was all the rave and as long as you stand your ground this venue is excellent and beautiful. -

We were able to throw a $50k+ wedding at a fraction of the cost without sacrificing glamor, class or style by hosting our reception at the Doubletree. While some people were difficult to work with in the group sales department, Linda Verone was amazing as our event manager and went above and beyond to accommodate our every need and request - she even brought in Canadian beer for the open bar at no charge after learning I was Canadian. The Grand Ballroom was stunning and transformed itself shockingly well with lighting and decor - with the open doors to the courtyard, it definitely held it's own to the other private venues in the area. The food received rave reviews from all guests and the guest rooms were some of the most modern in Tarrytown. A perfect setting for out of town guests and destination wedding feel. As long as you control and keep a close eye on the room block situation and are very specific with your contract requests, you will be extremely happy. -

Great for an all-in-one venue, pretty COVID safe
This is now known as the Sleepy Hollow Hotel and Conference Center, but that doesn't seem to be listed on WeddingWire.
It is a truly lovely outdoor space, including the terrace. The guest rooms could be a little nicer but they are adequate and it is worth it to have everything in one place and not need shuttles for your guests.
We were very concerned about COVID, especially the delta variant, and were in frequent communication with the hotel about moving the party outside. They were not in frequent communication with us, which was stressful, but ultimately they were very accommodating and while we were not able to set up a tent (it was going to be ridiculously expensive) we fit about 2/3 of our 120 guests comfortably outside on the terrace for dinner. -

I had my big Indian wedding at the Doubletree in September 2013 (300+ guests). My review is in two parts: a review of the banquet services and a separate review of the rooms management/reception desk.
Nick was the banquet manager for my wedding and he was wonderful. The only reason that the hotel is getting any kind of positive review is because of him and the maitre'd who handled my wedding-- Norma. I would give him fives for quality of service, professionalism, and responsiveness. We had many requests for the day before, morning of, and day after the wedding and Nick handled everything quickly and helpfully. He was respectful and helpful from Day One. Norma did a great job helping to coordinate the wedding day.
The rooms/reception desk was another story. First, something to know about the hotel that I wish I had paid attention to, is that the rooms are very spread out. It's a far distance between rooms and it was hard for my older relatives to walk around it. This is a good consideration if you're considering booking rooms here. Second, the rooms reservations were a mess and the management made no attempt to make things easy. I discovered the day before the wedding that my block of rooms were not booked close to each other. All of the suites were booked after I booked my block but no one from the hotel let me know as the suites were booked up until it was too late. Almost all of my guests who booked rooms in the block complained about the customer service they received when they booked rooms over the phone. The reception staff (both in person and on the phone) were rude, unhelpful, and poorly trained. I was shocked—the room rate was $149/night and it was not cheap to have my wedding at this venue. My guests and I deserved much better customer service. I’d recommend that you have your wedding here (and it will be beautiful) but have your room block somewhere else (as other reviewers have said—I wish I had followed their advice).

We did not have our reception at The Doubletree, but we did have our entire wedding party and guests stay there the night of the wedding. We worked with someone who was fully aware that we were a wedding party, yet my husband and I (bride and groom) were set up in a room of 2 twin sized beds. We went to the front desk to change to a different room and they argued with us that that's what we had reserved (but they did switch rooms). The following morning at brunch (still with entire wedding party), the woman was incredibly frustrated that we had come in, even though we had made reservations. The front desk did end up reimbursing my husband and me, but overall we were not happy with them. -

We had our ceremony and reception at the DT. If you opt to have an outdoor ceremony, beware! Anybody can sit outside their room to watch your ceremony, including people sporting their finest torn jeans and sleeveless shits while drinking a suitcase of Coors Light (true story!). I saw many pictures from friends where in the background staff were just standing there (not actually doing anything, just standing there – not the kind of shot I want for my photos). The wedding party had a separate cocktail hour from everybody else in a lovely room overlooking the parking lot. We patiently waited for our food and it took a very long time for anything to show up. We all stepped away for 10 min and when we returned, EVERYTHING was gone. It took a very long time to find somebody to bring us any food or water! At the reception itself, all was ok. Though many guests did complain that the wait staff cleaned their settings before they were even finished with their meal! I had at least two tables who didn’t even get wedding cake! I was really disappointed. -

Being a bride I was nervous for the big day and needed reassurance. My planner was very hard to get a hold of and took a long time to get back to me. I am aware that the doubletree hosts hundreds of weddings every year and for that reason expected things to go smoothly. My cocktail hour was extremely crowded because of the space. The food itself was delicious however. I had blocked off many rooms for my bridal party and my guests which ended up being a complete hassle. My husband and I were promised a Junior Suite for our wedding night and when I checked in they said that it was never reserved for me. It was just a lot of little problems that ended up being a big headache -

We did not have our wedding here, but we did reserve a block of rooms here for our guests after the wedding.
The rooms themselves were extremely nice, the rates were affordable even on a holiday weekend, and there were warm cookies for the guests to enjoy at the front desk.
However, many of our guests weren't allowed into their rooms at check-in time. The rooms were late, which was hard for us because we had a tight schedule. Nothing was really done to smooth over the lateness, they said there was nothing they could do but wait. We'd also made other arrangements with the hotel to keep the bar open late that were ultimately forgotten on the day-of and we had to argue for it. And there was another wedding taking place in the hotel that day, and those guest were loud and running around in the hall where my guests were staying, and nobody did anything about it. -
