    Great Service

    We worked with Jeanette, Brianna, and their team for our wedding room block. They were so great to work with and attentive to our needs. We also ended up booking a makeup room and a farewell brunch for the day after the wedding. The makeup room came with mirrors, plenty of seating, makeup remover wipes, and was cutely decorated. There was plenty of food at brunch, and it gave our guests the opportunity to say goodbye without being rushed. Our hotel room was MASSIVE and worked out perfectly for sorting our decor before and after the wedding. Whenever we had a request, managers were responsive, and went above and beyond to help. When we arrived, we learned that there were about 13 other weddings staying at the hotel the same weekend! We rarely ran into those groups, and I could not believe the hotel was able to manage it so effortlessly. Very much appreciated. The hotel is a bit dated, but the managers make up for it. Would definitely recommend the DoubleTree for a wedding room block.

    Absolutely amazing. Beyond our expectations

    We are more than pleased with every aspect provided by the Hilton for our son and daughter-in-laws wedding weekend. Outstanding in every category. Thank you to the entire staff at Hilton Doubletree Danvers… We would highly recommend..

    I had my wedding ceremony on reception at the DoubleTree Hilton in Danvers MA. The entire wedding from start to finish was absolutely AMAZING! The ceremony was beautiful in the living room, and the reception in the grand ballroom was beyond what I was expecting. It was so beautiful and was better than I imagined!

    Anthony Perez and the staff at the Doubletree were amazing when we had our August 2016 wedding. We met the chef before our wedding to make a change, he was so pleasant. The food was outstanding, not one complaint. We chose the grand ballroom for our reception and it was beautiful. Everyone had a good time. Anthony made sure everything went smooth. I would highly recommend any couple planning an upcoming wedding to check out the Doubletree in Danvers, Ma.

    The entire staff at The Double Tree North Shore was absolutely amazing to work with! Starting with Jackie, the director of catering. She was truly wonderful, and helpful every step of the way!

    Our school had our yearly fundraiser, The Spring Soiree at the DoubleTree in April 2016. It is one of two fundraising events and it is very important that it be done well. The DoubleTree team is really the best. They are responsive, helpful and more than professional. I am very impressed with how they go the extra step to get to know their clients. I appreciate that there are no hidden costs and you know up front what you will be paying. The food has always been excellent and I cannot say enough about the service. From the planning to clean up after the event, I would highly recommend the DoubleTree and their outstanding staff.

    where do i even begin?! Anthony was the absolute professional during the entire booking and planning of our wedding. the night of, he was all over the place making sure things were done correctly, done in a timely fashion, and most importantly done to the way we wanted. the staff from top to bottom were very friendly and polite. there are not enough good things to be said of Anthony and his staff at the Double Tree by Hilton North Shore. the venue was beautiful, the food was superb and the experience was priceless. if you are looking to have the absolute perfect wedding, at the absolute best venue, with only the utmost professional and accommodating staff, look no further. Anthony and his staff will not disappoint!

    With a guest list of 400 peoples, my choices were very limited when it came to wedding venues. The DoubleTree North Shore wasn't my first choice, but once I saw the grand ballroom and how spacious and elegant it was, I was immediately impressed, and booked the venue. What I loved about the DoubleTree was their amazing package including just about everything you need for your wedding (for me the gold start was chiavari chairs that were included in the package because I knew I wasn't settling for any other chair!). My amazing, mother did do most of my planning, she's very picky and a woman who knows what she wants. Anthony, our wedding planner was more than accommodating with making all of her requests met. Your wedding should be the most amazing, beautiful day of your life, and for us it definitely was thanks to the Double Tree Boston North Shore!

    The DoubleTree (Danvers, MA) is a spacious and accommodating wedding venue! Jackie and Anthony are the staff members that directly were working with us to make our big day special. They were able to answer all questions asked by my fiancé, my parents, and myself. The hotel was able to provide our guests a room with their large room block.

    The Grand Ballroom is exceptional. The dancefloor runs the whole length of the massive room, giving your guests plenty of space. No one wants a cramped wedding reception! THE FOOD CHOICES ARE AMAZING, and they allow the bar to be paid for by consumption. Added perk! We could give an allowance to the bar to pay for beverages, or we could pick up the tab. They do also offer an “open bar” option price per person as well as table wine service.

    FOR YOUR WEDDING PARTY, THIS VENUE OFFERS A PRIVATE AREA TO GET READY AND TAKE PHOTOS. The hotel has countless photo spots! You don’t even need a photo room! Since we are having a winter wedding, Jackie and Anthony told us that the hotel would still have the Christmas décor up for pictures as well. This was appealing to us.

    From the moment we visited the DoubleTree Hilton, Jackie and Anthony greeted us with a champagne toast, and gave us some of the delicious cookies to take home. Their hospitality and extra efforts to make us feel appreciated definitely did not go unnoticed! JACKIE AND ANTHONY ARE ABLE TO WORK WITH YOUR BUDGET, GUEST LIST, AND SPECIAL REQUESTS. The DoubleTree Hilton, Danvers, was a pleasure to work with.

    We were a little nervous at first as our site coordinator left a few months after we picked the venue. Luckily, her replacement, Jessica, was awesome. She actually made us feel even more comfortable with the planning process. Our wedding night was flawless from beginning to end. The staff was so accommodating and our guests raved about how delicious the food was. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great wedding venue!

    Excellent place for a wedding. The room is beautiful, the food superb and the service incredible. Everyone made our wedding very special. Would choose this venue again in a heartbeat.

    We held the Rehearsal Dinner for our son's wedding here in the Tradewinds Restaurant. After a bit of a rocky start ( misplaced deposit check and an event coordinator who was seriously unqualified), we were pleasantly surprised when Jessica took over our event. She answered all of our questions promptly and offered alternatives for any issues we had. The Tradewinds Restaurant was the PERFECT setting for our function, and everything looked beautiful. We chose the North American Buffet, and I am a tough critic... The food was AMAZING! I can't get over how good it was. We did a consumption bar, and I am glad we did as it worked out less than if we had purchased the per person deal. All of the staff were so helpful, even taking the dirty diapers from the new moms in attendance. It was all money we'll spent.

    Easy and Professional

    Overall great experience with the DoubleTree Staff. Booking our wedding block was easy, and the team was always a pleasure to work with. Even during a very busy time of year, they remained flexible and always willing to help.
    We ended up using this venue for our guest block, as well as a welcome party the night before the wedding, but had the event off campus. Our guests loved the apps, and definitely enjoyed the bar tender!

    When we first booked our wedding here we had Jessica as our Wedding Coordinator. Jessica ended up leaving a week after we signed the contract (we loved her and she was why we booked there). Throughout the year and a half we went through 3 other terrible wedding coordinators. I wouldn't even be giving this review all these stars if it were not for the final coordinator, Anthony, who saved us. We had such a bad experience with the other coordinators that I was beside myself. I thought my wedding was going to be a disaster. Once Anthony took over, he proved that he really knew what he was doing. I am so thankful that Doubletree found him or else this review would probably be very different. If Anthony is still there, I would definitely recommend that you book your wedding there. He did everything for us and more. I can't thank him enough. I also want to give a shout out to Donna who was serving us in our Bridal Party Suite and us specifically during the reception. She was so polite and helpful and really took care of us. She even packed up my Husband's cake to take back to the room because he didn't have time to eat it. Thank you Donna!

    I have chosen to do a hotel block from Double Tree for my wedding guests. I am an October bride which is a very popular month for hotels to require 2 night minimum stays (which I did not know about until trying to block rooms). The Double Tree was the closest and only hotel that did give us a few rooms with a one-night stay flexibility. The response time was extremely fast and professional which was helpful. I am hoping that I have enough rooms to accommodate all the guests that would like to stay and if not, I hope there will be some flexibility.

    This was an "after party" for a wedding. Function room was exactly what we wanted. The waitress and bartender were excellent and did a great job. Prices were high. More was spent on alcohol at the after party than at the entire wedding reception. Flexibility was great with food and appreciated. Jessica was very professional, although sometimes it felt like it took a while to get email responses. Very helpful with block of rooms, which were clean and nice.

    We used the Ferncrfot for our Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, and Reception. There was a little bit of a ruff start as we went through 3 wedding coordinators (appears they have a lot of turn around). Finally they hired Carolyn who was wonderful to deal with. Our ceremony appeared to go off with out a hitch. Our reception went really well. Although there were a few guests tables who did not receive there dinner rolls, and another table who's dinners did not all come out in a timely fashion. My step-father was served a different cake then ours. Ours had white frosting on it and the piece he got had chocolate frosting (there was another reception going on right next door). Also the appetizers that myself (Bride) and my husband chose to eat at the food tasting was so delicious but at the actual wedding was very undesirable. Other than that the night was wonderful. Our head waiter was great and Carolyn was always there to answer any questions I had during the night. I think that no wedding is ever bump free so ours came as close to bump free as could be. The atmosphere inside the Ferncroft was great. If we had to do it all over again I would definitely pick the Ferncroft again :)

    We booked our wedding room block with the DoubleTree. While Maria was responsive to our problems and I think did her best to try to fix the issues we were having, there were just too many issues. From the start, our guests had a very difficult time booking in our room block. Guests were misinformed in various ways when they called to book, hearing things from "the room block is full" when actually nobody had booked a room yet, to "in order to join the room block you have to pay to upgrade to an executive room" (which also wasn't true). Our biggest disappointment was that our welcome bags were not handed out to many of our guests. We had put a schedule in the welcome bags, on which we invited our guests to join us in the Tradewinds Lounge for cocktails the night before the wedding. We had a lot of out of town guests and were hoping to see them in a more informal setting before the wedding. We later found out that because our guests didn't get a welcome bag, they didn't know we would be in the lounge and never came down to see us.

    Noise travels!

    Do NOT book your ceremony in "living room" as we could hear more of the hotel guests hoopla from lobby/elevator area than we could hear of ceremony! Also, as guests moved into cocktail hour room, hotel employees were still vacuuming. Lastly the bar area had visible ugly damage to walls and ceiling - it was in need of repair. The positive part was wonderful, attentive staff.

    My husband worked with a sales team member to set up our room block. She was friendly, replied in a timely manor answering all our questions, and personally helping us work out the kinks...

    When it came to our guests booking with the front desk there were some definite hiccups. More than one guest was told the room block was full, meanwhile we were receiving messages that we weren't meeting capacity- which was daunting. You're set up knowing you have to fill a certain percent of the rooms or you could be charged for them. It was eventually worked out. A few times a "free room" for the bride and groom and possible VIP guests was mentioned but ultimately we weren't a large enough group to get that perk.

    My bridesmaids and I were able to check in early (fantastic!).... but we were put on separate floors (not fantastic)... it was sorted out and myself (the bride) did get upgraded without extra charge to a suite (fantastic). The suite was nice except I tried to take a relaxing bath the night before the wedding, the water was brown likely from city work and prolonged unused of the faucet, maintenance was friendly. The front desk was happy to pass out gift bags to our guests, but turns out a lot of guests were not given bags due to front desk miscommunication. Many of our guests had double or over charges to their credit cards from the room as well as the hotel bar.

    Our driver to the wedding venue was waiting outside... I had to find him, but he reports he informed the desk and bell hop of his presence expecting them to let myself, the very obvious bride, and bridesmaids know he was waiting. They did not.

    In fairness... I should say this was school vacation week and the Double Tree Hilton Danvers is a hot spot with the water park and all. But this was for guests attending my wedding. Its too bad myself and my guests had to spend so much of our time getting these things back in order!

    I chose Doubletree for the convenience of having every aspect of our wedding in one location. Communication was essentially non existent in the months leading up to our wedding, took over a week to get email responses and when I got the response, not all of my questions were answered. Planning a wedding from out of state, this was extremely frustrating. Our wedding planner ended up leaving the hotel 2 weeks before our wedding and we were given a new planner. Once we received our new planner, everything was perfect. If I had had her from the beginning, My rates would have been 4-5 stars.

    Spreading themselves too thin, perhaps?

    As a guest at a recent wedding at this property, I cannot attest to the value/planning of the function. However, I will cite my dire embarrassment for the Bride/Groom. As the ceremony ended and cocktail hour began, guests were blindly ushered into a room labeled for a high school function which was GARISHLY lit. There was only enough seating for, maybe, 22 guests out of 100 and some tables were left bare (no tablecloths). Luckily, a large section of the wall (double-doors which lead to a back storage area) were left wide open providing us an opportunity to go back and drag out our own chairs. There was a nice cheese/cracker display which was quickly consumed as the hot hors d'oeuvres were not served until the last 10 minutes. The remainder of the night seemed to go smoothly and, ultimately, a great time was had by all. I fully realize that there is so much that could go wrong at a wedding......... but for a venue to be so completely unprepared such as they were was incredibly unprofessional and an embarrassment all around!

    Initially I had what I thought was an amazing wedding venue. My husband and I knew immediately that Doubletree by Hilton Northshore was our wedding venue, but the wedding sales consultant was a hard ball and just very difficult. Whenever we needed something, it would take almost a week to respond, A lot of times I would email him numerous times with no update. When he finally got his money he was a goner - No contact, no follow up and the day of my wedding was a complete disaster. Closer to the wedding we found out he was leaving, he hadn't been in contact with us and would ask to have a meeting the day I already had a wedding event planned. For example - he would ask to meet the day i had my bridal shower or I was away for my girls weekend. My day of coordinator sent the wedding sales consultant a day of action plan - did the sales consultant set their schedule to match? Nope - so now we have two day of schedules and completely off timings. If it wasn't for my private day of coordinator - my entire day would have been a disaster. I would think twice and check your boxes threeprior to finalizing your wedding at this location.

    My biggest complaint was the service. I had almost Four Hundred people at my wedding. What would you expect for a waitstaff for four hundred people? Well my contract says one for every thirty people and I was delivered four waitstaff the night of my wedding. One staff member was so overwhelmed, and completely not her fault - but lost it at a family member of mine.

    The hotel did try to make it right. My open bar was 15 minutes even though I paid for an hour - I paid for the unlimited soft drink package the entire day of the event and I was given no soda at my wedding ceremony and my guests were charged for soda throughout the reception. I was given $2 back per a person for soda - when the unlimited soda package was charged at $10 a person. I was refunded my open bar package.

    Overall, I wished I picked a different wedding venue.

    My husband and I had a New Year's Eve wedding at the doubletree. We originally booked the venue with a wedding coordinator that was a nightmare but we loved the space so much we booked anyways. Things were hectic because the coordinator was fired and eventually anthony was hired. Anthony was very nice throughout the process but the entire planning was so unorganized and the venue had no clue as to what they were doing. My room block was not linked and I had to continue hounding my guests to find out who booked and who didn't because they couldn't figure out how to fix it, months before the wedding I suggested that they create an entire new link (you'd think that a hotel would know to do this) and this did fix the solution after all my guests had already booked. I had to write out very detailed time lines because I felt so nervous about the organization of the venue. On the night of our rehearsal dinner the wedding planner was no where to be found so I had to run the entire rehearsal with our officiant, all of my family couldn't believe he left, but I blew it off because I managed it. The night of our wedding we had the ballroom until 1230, and the wedding planner left at 11pm, knowing that I had planned a sparkler send of. Luckily my dj's wife played the role and organized the send off for us but it was still a bit hectic. I will say that the venue is beautiful and the food was great, but besides that I can't say anything good about the experience we had. Since day one it was very stressful and there was no support at all from the wedding planner. The day of the wedding we had five rooms blocked off for our vendors, this had been planned for a long time and when they went to check in there were never rooms held for them. If you are the type of bride that can juggle it all on your own and be okay with waiting over a week for responses from the venue then go for it because the prices are great, but you get what you pay for!

    I am profoundly disappointed with my experience with this branch of the Doubletree. I booked a block of 30 rooms 3 months prior to my July 9th wedding. The block filled up quickly and I was told everything was taken care of.

    Unfortunately when the last of my guests arrived at the hotel at 12am, they were told that the hotel had been overbooked by 8 rooms and my friends and family (including my brother, a member of the wedding party) were turned away.

    There was another bride we saw at the front desk at 12:15am (who had a Sunday wedding in a matter of hours) screaming that she had a makeup artist meeting her at the hotel at 6:15 the next morning, and she had been told that her room was given away.

    In addition, my husband and I were told that our room would be comped and we were met with a $200 bill bright and early the day after our wedding, which has yet to be fixed over a month later, and we doubt it ever will be.

    The only reason I have not given this ill-prepared garbage hotel a ZERO star rating is because they did offer to pay for a cab for my guests to take home, which is little consolation when you're drunk at 12:15am and you live an hour away.

    The staff at this hotel obviously does not communicate with each other, they have very little regard for their guests and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service we received.

    Hotel Block and After Party

    We used this hotel as a wedding room block and after party, and unfortunately were very disappointed. We paid for a private room and food to host an after party for our guests and when we got back from the wedding the room was open, food was almost all gone with another bridal party! The other bride even came over to apologize for her guests after. There was only one person working trying to manage three after parties and it was pure chaos. We ended up having to order Dominos for our guest after we spent $800+ already with the hotel. The hotel did nothing to rectify this or offer some sort of refund. Do not use them for a wedding block or after party.

    We just got married here in October and it was a nightmare. The original coordinator we were dealing with left earlier this year and we found out a lot of what he told us was not true. We were assured that everything would be better moving forward and we had confidence with the new coordinator. However communication was very poor - especially the day of the wedding. Our coordinator did not check in with us when she arrived at the venue and we had to track her down to find out what the plan was for our ceremony. Our ceremony was held in the Living Room. As this is a way to get to Coco Keys we were promised there would be partitions put up so guests could not walk through our ceremony area. Partitions were not put up and there was actually an event in the restaurant that was so loud some of my guests could not hear our ceremony even though we had a microphone. After the ceremony the coordinator was supposed to bring our bridal party to a special cocktail area but she disappeared and my bridesmaids had to take charge. We also had an issue in that they accused us of going through more beer than we did in the wedding party cocktail area and later admitted that this was a miscommunication on their part. However after this incident our coordinator disappeared again and even though the front desk paged her multiple times she did not respond. My bridesmaids had to move the guests into the reception room and my DJ took charge of moving things forward. I originally fell in love with the venue but wish we cancelled our contract when things started going downhill with the first coordinator. The service during the reception and the food was great. My guests had a great time and had no idea we had been dealing with these issues. Luckily I had an amazing bridal party who was able to help me when our coordinator should have been and an incredible DJ (Andres from First Class Weddings) who completely turned the night around for us. I would not recommend this venue.

    For any of you ladies looking for a venue I would recommend NOT using the doubletree north shore in Danvers ma. Before I even got to my wedding day I went through 4 event planner there. The newest one won't get back to me with a simple answers about our the time line any questions we had and when our final meeting was. I tried calling and emialing for three weeks. It took her till 2 weeks before my wedding to finally get in touch with us. It wasn't until I called asking to talk to a manager and sent another email that I finally heard anything and then someone else got involved with our day. To me they only seemed to care about the big wedding there that same weekend. I would not tell anyone about this location and was so disappointed. After the wedding when we went to pick up our stuff, we found out they lost our cake topper and took days for someone to finally get us an answer on where it was and it wasn't until I email them again while on our honeymoon that someone told me that it has been found. We asked them to leave it at the front desk and yet it wasn't there and the hotel manager had to go look for it.

    This hotel is very unprofessional and they really have no idea what is going on. I'm sorry but when you start planning your wedding you expect some respect and for them to know what they are doing. What I don't understand is that how from when we booked to our wedding day there was 4 event planners come and go? Isn't that saying something.. You really don't want to spend time before your wedding wondering if your event planner is going to show up or who it might be. You like one person and next thing you know they are gone and you have someone else and have to make more meetings just to make sure they got everything you told the two before..
