Wedding of the Decade
Calvin and Double B Entertainment did an amazing job and helped us pull off an absolute bash of a party for our wedding on New Years Eve. Calvins MC skills were phenomenal and added a great personalized touch to our event. The music and DJing literally brought our party to life, and left the dance floor packed and hyped throughout the entire party! Double B entertainment truly made our wedding/ party an experience and revived nothing but compliments from everyone who attended. Double B helped make our night literally the party of the decade that everyone raved about. -

Booking Double B Entertainment (Calvin!) was one of the best decisions of my wedding. I can't say enough good things about him and his wife Lyndsey who helped out that day. We booked them for the ceremony and reception at Hotel Palomar. You can completely trust they know how to read a room and will keep the party going! Calvin is super energetic, has a great voice over the mic! and can amp up the crowd.
He truly kept my wedding party and guests of all ages dancing the entire night. I got SO MANY compliments on him and multiple people told me it's the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding. It's been a couple months since our big day and people are still telling me how great of a job they did (one of my friends is already trying to book them!). To cap it off, he took an amazing last photo of the night which shows all the people who were still on the dance floor! I'll thank you forever - thanks Calvin! 10 stars!!! -

Ryan and Calvin know how to start a party and keep it going. I booked double B for my entire wedding; ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. I love that they know how to read a crowd, they aren't your average run of the mill DJ. They're fun, energetic, and they don't play your regular wedding songs. They truly kept my wedding party and guests of all ages dancing until the very end of the night. My family was still out on the floor while they were starting to break down their equipment. My guests are still talking about how amazing of a job, which makes me incredibly happy, because with 10 weddings this year I didn't want to be the one that had no one dancing. -

They were on time with set-up and were great at communicating with all of our vendors. They have a great presence as the emcee and do an amazing job organizing the music for the different events of the night. They kept the dance floor moving all night - from the young kids to our Grandmas, our DJs got everyone out to the dance floor. Our guests raved about the music choices and how much fun they had dancing the night away - and we had a great night too!

Sarah Sent on 01/08/2018Great DJ! We used them for our ceremony and reception. Ryan was professional and really easy to work with. He had a worksheet we had to fill out so we were all on the same page and had nothing to worry about the day of.
They kept the party going the whole night at our wedding. They took requests from guests and kept everyone on the dance floor! I'd definitely recommend them! -

I cannot even express our appreciation for making our Wedding Day so spectacular and a day that we and our guests will NEVER forget!
I have never seen so many smiling faces, having a blast, and dancing the night away! The music was tailored to ALL of our guests, and even our friends kept coming up to us and asked if we picked the playlist because it was so "sick." I HIGHLY recommend Double B Entertainment. You will not be disappointed!

User2647779 Sent on 06/14/2016If you are looking for a DJ service that will keep the dance floor packed all night, look no further! Double B was amazing, and they are so easy to work with. We met with Calvin once, and I had total confidence that he would keep the reception on track while playing the best jams. He listened to our requests and also paid attention to what worked for the crowd. We also had to move from an outdoor to indoor ceremony at the last minute, and Double B was super flexible with this change. They were set up and ready to go in no time. Our wedding was a blast, and we have Double B to thank for the fun! This vendor is absolutely worth the money! -

Only complaint we had from our guest was that their feet hurt so much the next day because they had so much fun dancing to all the songs that were played. Our dance floor was completely full all night. The music selection by Calvin and team was awesome! He was able to read the crowd and understand what songs guest wanted. I highly recommend Calvin and Double B Entertainment for your wedding day! -

Anne Sent on 09/27/2014I hired Double B Entertainment to be the DJ at my wedding. I have known Ryan and Calvin since we were young, which one would think would make me biased, but I swear it hasn't! When my sister got married she had a poor DJ. My brother got married very soon afterwards and had Double B Entertainment, and the difference and value of quality was astounding! I knew I had to book them for my wedding because their skills were unmatched of weddings I had seen before.
They were relatively easy to get a hold of through email, and were very gracious with my adjustments with their packages (There were some lighting pieces and sub woofers I didn't find necessary because of my small, casual venue) And they listened to me very well when I told them my preferences of bands played and lack of line-dancing songs.
Ryan did a great job communicating to me on the day of, especially when it came to MCing the event. I gave him a timeline of what I wanted announced and when, and he was very punctual and always asked me if I wanted something changed or suggested things that would be good, like seconds, etc.
The music was wonderful, and he did a great job of having people dancing all night long. There were no lulls or dead air to kill the momentum of the party. I had several family members that never left the dance floor! Ryan does a great job of reading the audience and always changing and adapting the music so that he will continually get people up and moving. Double B Entertainment did a wonderful job, and I would recommend them for any event, big or small! -
User1624182 Sent on 05/19/2014Where do we start? Without Double B, the party would have flopped. These guys brought the beats, the lights, and the atmosphere we wanted to make our special evening come alive. There wasn't one dull moment on the dance floor. This is how we like it.
We were super laid back as far as the specifics of the songs went. We gave genres, some specific songs, and some creative license. We opted for our night to be a night of dedicated partying and dancing. These guys made that happen.
So what makes these guys different than all of the others? They care. They care about your special day and they love that they get to be a part of it. This comes across loud and clear. Also, we wanted to make sure we supported local businesses. So, we got the best of both worlds. Great customer service while supporting local.
LOVE THESE GUYS!! You won't regret using them for your main event. -

Rebecca Sent on 11/05/2017I was introduced to Calvin at my cousin’s wedding, where he was amazing, so naturally, I had to have him for my wedding and again, the main talk among the guests. DJ Calvin killed it at my wedding and I am so thrilled with the results. Filipinos like to dance and he played music nonstop that kept people dancing. Even my mother in law (a cute little Japanese lady), who was supposedly leaving the reception for the night, stayed until the last dance! He and his partner did an amazing job. He’s super chill and willing to work with you in whatever you need. Plus he gives really good suggestions. The only thing I had difficulty with was getting a response from him through our emails, like I wasn’t sure if he received some important info, but it was easy to talk to him in person about them during our meetings. In the end, everything was just as I imagined it to be, so don’t be too upset if he doesn’t reply back to you right away. He is worth it to book at your wedding or event! One of the best DJ’s I’ve ever met!
P.s. He also did the uplighting, which was phenomenal, and provided the screen for a video montage I created! Best Decision Ever!
