Darlene and her team at DLN Florist did an exceptional job for our daughter’s wedding at Fishermen’s Inn in Elburn, IL. From our first Zoom meeting through every call and email, Darlene was thoughtful, professional, and truly collaborative. She listened to our daughter's vision for a “rustic” formal barn wedding and incorporated her favorite flowers bringing it to life beautifully. Her flower and design suggestions perfectly complemented the venue and wedding party attire. She was also mindful of cost, repurposing arrangements from the ceremony for the reception. On the wedding day, Darlene and her assistant were attentive and flawlessly in command eliminating any stress related to the floral details. We felt completely confident in her care and couldn’t recommend DLN Florist more highly. -

Loved working with DLN Floral!
We absolutely loved having Darlene help us with florals for our wedding! She did an incredible job! I was blown away and we are still getting so many compliments about the florals. She really took my vision and made it come to life. Not only is Darlene incredibly talented, but she was also so fun to work with! We loved it and we will be recommending her to anyone that asks! Super talented florist!
Darlene is amazing! She was a delight to work with. Not only is she personable and fun, but she also helped my vision come to life perfectly. Everything was set up/delivered at the right time, and we received nothing but praise for the flowers. She offered a luxe service at a very reasonable fee, which was the cherry on top. Darlene with DLN Floral Creations was amazing to work with! She made the process super easy and understood our vision completely. She stayed until after we were finished with our ceremony and photos to break down the arch and move the flowers to our sweetheart table. So many of our guests thought the flowers weren't real because they looked so full and perfect. They were all 100% real. Even my toss bouquet was beautiful! People are still talking about how amazing the flowers were at our wedding. I'm so happy with Darlene and her team at DLN Floral Creations. I will definitely use them again for future events! -

Amazed by Darlene's Work!
With little knowledge on how to articulate our wants and needs, Darlene was able to read our minds! All she needed was a couple photos and sentences on how we wanted things to feel/look and she knew exactly what we wanted. She is flexible, honest, kind, and most importantly good at what she does. She ran a smooth operation the day of our wedding as she relocated flowers from one venue to the next. She truly is the best around! -

It was nothing but a positive experience working with Darlene! She honestly may be the friendliest, most cheerful florist you'll ever meet! Darlene was responsive and helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process - I never for one second worried about my flowers! The floral dream team!
Darlene is absolutely amazing to work with. From my bridal shower to the big day, she always went above and beyond to understand our vision, curate realistic options from them and unveil them to be even more beautiful than we could have imaged! Not to mention that she did all this while doubling as my unofficial wedding planning therapist :) Darlene and her team are so incredibly talented and reliable. They worked around the chaos of the day (we had the ceremony and reception in the same room, which gave her a short window to flip everything over!) and helped us with so many unsolicited items that were out of scope for them. It was amazing to have a friend in our 'corner' with all of the details buzzing around. The room, bouquets, aisle and decor all took our breath away, and we didn't even blow our budget! We could not be happier with Darlene and will continue to use her for the many events to come! THANK YOU!!! -

I was comfortable with Darlene as soon as I met with her. I gave her a vague description of types of flowers I wanted for my wedding ceremony and she brought my ideas to life! Darlene is very professional and easy to talk to and she helped me stay within my budget! I would highly recommend her for any of your floral needs! DLN Floral Creations did all of my centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnières and I couldn’t have been happier with them! -

Her energy and excitement about my wedding was wonderful, and she was always available to answer questions or talk through ideas when I needed her. She took my vision for the flowers and centerpieces and made it more than I could have even imagined. The day of the wedding she delivered the flowers to my house early and made a second trip to drop off the boys flowers before setting up the reception centerpieces. My flowers were amazing, and even my photographer commented about how stunning my bouquet was. I was blown away by her attention to detail and I was absolutely in love with everything that she touched. -

I can't say enough about Darlene! She took glass centerpieces that I bought and was not sure what to do with and made them look so good that everyone that attended the wedding wanted one! Darlene understood all my "I don't know's" and "Kinda's" and turned them into exactly what I would have wanted if I could have expressed a coherent thought at that point. When it was time, all the flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres, etc. all magically appeared where they needed to be and attached to who they needed to be on. I was worried about everything and Darlene just made it happen beautifully! Yeah, and my bouquet rocked!
On a more serious note, our best man's mother passed while we were on our honeymoon, so we called Darlene the day before the wake from out of the country and she put together what I was told were the most beautiful flowers there. She represented us well.

Christina Sent on 10/13/2009Darlene, the owner of DLN, was recommended by my (now) husband's father. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. Upon our initial meeting with her, I really had no idea what types of flowers I wanted. She went through a bunch of books with me showing me different types of flowers as well as arrangements she had done in the past. She even made up a "mock" bouquet with flowers currently in her shop when I was having trouble visualizing the flower combinations which she gave me to take home. We had a huge wedding party (9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, 2 ushers, 1 flower girl and 1 ringbearer, not to mention ourselves, plus parents, grandparents, godparents, etc.) Everyone's bouquets/boutinerres turned out beautifully. Because I wanted people to be able to take the centerpieces home with them, I had inquired about purchasing the vases through her or asked if I should get them on my own. She told me that I would be able to find them cheaper than what she would have to charge for them, so I found a great site online. When told by that company that it would be cheaper to send them to a business than to ship to my house, she readily agreed to have them shipped directly to her shop. She was always quick to return calls/emails with questions/updates that I had. She was a pleasure to work with!
