Sonja was the absolute best! As a musician myself, I’m always a little wary of what music will be played at an event; Sonja not only kept the music going, she created a lively, engaging atmosphere where everyone had fun and kept on dancing late into the night! I didn’t feel like I had to step in at all and there was never a dull moment! All I had to do was worry about not tripping on my dress! -

Sonja was an absolutely incredible DJ and made the entire process so enjoyable for us. As a lesbian couple, we were specifically looking for a female DJ, and we’re beyond grateful that we found Sonja. She is incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and put us at ease every step of the way. We felt genuinely cared for throughout the entire process, and especially on our wedding day. Sonja made sure that we and our guests had the best time, and we truly danced the night away! Her attention to detail is unmatched, and everything she does is done with such intention and care. She exceeded our expectations and helped us celebrate to the fullest. We would highly recommend Sonja and any of the DJs she works with. She’s an absolute gem and a true professional! :) -

All I wanted for our wedding was to dance with our community and Sonja made it happen! I loved her vibe and the energy she brought. She took our song suggestions seriously but then really elevated them with expert mixing and creative mashups, making the night feel uniquely ours. She added songs I never would have thought of that were INCREDIBLE. Her ability to read the room was amazing—she knew exactly how to keep the energy high and had people dancing for hours. So many guests commented on how much fun they had, and we couldn’t agree more! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ - highly recommend!! -

Sonja and her team are amazing!
Our wedding was absolutely wonderful thanks to Sonja! Her music choice was so fitting and fun for each stage of the event, but she was far more than just a DJ for our special day. She helped out so much with the timing of everything in our meeting before the wedding, it took a lot of stress off our plate knowing she would make sure we hit all the beats at the right time from the ceremony to the last dance. She was our MC for the day, introducing us and speech givers, and came up with a great idea for a dance game that everyone loved! The photo booth she brought was amazing with so many fun props, everyone wanted to try it out and we have so many fun photos. She played so many awesome songs, we danced our hearts out and could barely stand by the end. When we told her we were exhausted, she dialed it down a little and instead of a last dance she got everyone into a big group hug at the end, which was a beautiful touch! Thank you Sonja for making our day absolutely perfect!! -

Sonja was amazing to work with from start to finish! She's professional, communicates well, and genuinely cares. She had a beautiful setup with awesome lighting at the wedding. What we (as well as other guests) really appreciated was the incredible job she did as an MC on our special day. We were so grateful to have her as our DJ. -

When my partner and I began searching for a wedding DJ, we realized we didn't want some ex-frat bro in a fedora. As a gay couple, we wanted someone who was warm, welcoming, and most of all COOL, so we were ecstatic when we found DJ Aquamarine. From the start, she was super communicative and helpful in guiding us through the music selection process. It was so easy to upload my preferred playlist to her website and add in any special requests, though she had a ton of her own music suggestions available if needed. On our wedding day, she was on top of everything, setting up special lights and equipment, and collaborating with our coordinator and officiant. DJ Aquamarine was personable, professional, and also just a ton of a fun. She brought all the good vibes, and our guests had such a fun time dancing because of the positive atmosphere she helped create. 1000% recommend hiring her if you need a fun DJ who is also just a really good person. -

This DJ was a great MC, showed up on time, had great energy and was able to pick the perfect songs for the right moments. The dance party was so fun. Great memories were created with this DJ's help. -

Sonja was amazing! She spent the time to get song requests from us ahead of time and mixed in some classics to get our guests on the dance floor! It was a great balance. I was recommended to her from a friend and she did not disappoint. Highly recommend and would absolutely trust her to take care of your special day. -

My partner and I both grew up with lots of good music in music loving households. We wanted to hire a woman DJ and wanted to make sure that she could cater to our specific tastes of funk, house, and reggae for our queer wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! Aquamarine came early, dressed to our color scheme, and along with her equipment, brought strong radiant energy with her that shone through her set and onto the dance floor through the enjoyment of the outdoor party by all of our guests. She even got my mom to get up and boogie! (A spectacular feat). My partner was so grateful I had chosen to book Aquamarine because she not only played hits she recognized from our earlier dating life, but also music neither of us had heard before but really enjoyed! By the end of the night ALL of our guests had gotten a fair share of the dance floor and left our wedding with great memories and good spirits! -

We both had our minds set on what it takes to be a good Wedding Dj, and Aquamarine far exceeded our expectations. From her presentation, lighting, and song selection the party felt electric and joyful the entire night. -

We were excited to have Aquamarine DJ our wedding and really enjoyed working with Sonja & Hil prior to the event. At the event there were multiple mishaps that caused the service to not be quite what we had hope for. Some of these were outside of Aquamarine's control (the venue changed where they were to setup), however there were a few that should have not occurred (forgetting to play the requested Hora, using a loop that repeated songs and playing a line dance when we requested that none be played). On the plus side, Hil was timely, all of the equipment worked seamlessly and our guests had fun, even if several mentioned that the music didn't seem to fit us.
I have edited this review and raised my rating in most areas due to the fact that Sonja cares enough about her clients to have scheduled a meeting with us to find out what happened. She was very thoughtful, professional and clearly wants to provide quality service to her customers.
