I could literally not saying anything better about Djamel. Even though at first I thought he was a little pricey, he is worth every penny and more. He goes above and beyond, and I honestly regret not having more camera time with him. Everyone left our wedding commenting on how great he was. Thank you Djamel!!

Perfect for My Wedding

My husband and I were planning our destination wedding and spent hours looking for the perfect wedding photographer .Djamel was by far our first choice, and THE BEST decision we ever made ! He responded immediately and we booked him on the spot. He went ABOVE and BEYOND like we could not even imagine. Djamel was everything we could have asked for in a photographer. Getting married in Florida, my wife and I were concerned about finding someone who was not only professional, but was excited to capture the vows of a same-sex marriage. Djamel was that and more making us feel beautiful and accepted. We had complications in venues and Djamel was flexible as well as accommodating with our photo requests. As I look around our house, we couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome of the photos. We can't thank him enough!

When looking for a wedding photographer, my husband and I knew we wanted fashion/editorial style photographs versus the typical posed shots. After contacting Djamel Wedding Photography and reviewing his site, we knew he was the one. From our first session, our engagement photo shoot, which I highly recommend, we knew we made the right choice. My husband, who was not looking forward to it, had the best time, as Djamel made us feel so comfortable. We felt that we were part of a magazine shoot and have amazing photos that we will always cherish. For our wedding day, Djamel really captured the essence of our dream wedding. His photographs are truly amazing. My friends described our wedding photos as absolutely stunning, like we just stepped out of the pages of a fashion magazine.

DJ is a true professional and artist. My husband and I had a super long wedding day with 3 events starting early in the morning and going into late night. He was effortless, energized, and a perfectionist about his shots from beginning to end. My favorite thing was his attention to detail, whether he was doing couples' portraits or group shots. His fun and charismatic attitude and attentiveness towards all our family and guests did not go unnoticed. We are not the most photogenic couple and he guided us through all the pictures. He communicates well both before and after the day of his services and is quick to get back to emails or text messages. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and work, and are now enjoying our beautiful wedding album! Thank you DJ!

We decided to contact Djamel after seeing his gorgeous, editorial style of photography on his website. We knew at once that's what we were looking for -- nothing cheesy or too "posed" looking. Djamel was very responsive from the start and was able to secure our not too distant wedding date. When the big day arrived, Djamel was right on time and was able to get so many great shots in a fairly short amount of time, including some unplanned extended family photos. All of our guests commented how great he was -- putting them all at ease. He really captured the spirit of the day and the photos really turned out great! If you're looking for a photographer with a great eye and sense of style, you won't do better than Djamel.

Djamel is a phenomenal photographer and truly makes you look like you are be a published model in every shot. Djamel captured the wedding day in exactly the manner which I wanted and was flexible with everything the day of and beyond creative with every shot. We traded our engagement shoot for a post wedding shoot and the pictures from that shoot look straight out of a magazine. Worth every penny, experienced, professional and talented.

Working with DJ was an absolute dream! His artistic style is unmatched in the industry! DjamelPhotography was an outstanding choice for our wedding and engagement photos. After researching a number of photographers and narrowing down a few to meet with, Djamel really listened to our vision and was genuinely excited to share in the day with us! His excitement, honestly, was what sold us on choosing to work with him for our big day. From the beginning, he was easy to communicate with, share ideas, and help to bring our very specific vision to reality. His dedication to our wedding -- from shooting all aspects of the day (early morning getting ready until the very ending sendoff) was remarkable. Our guests enjoyed the evening so much more because he was not invasive, but felt like a guest at the party!

Working with DJ was a dream. He made it a point to get to know my style and vision prior to the wedding. I wanted a more editorial look and he completely understood. After assessing the details of our wedding, he knew that we needed a second shooter and only enlisted the best. Both of them worked well together and understood the best way to manage the timeline and events of the day.

While shooting, DJ made everyone feel at ease and it was like he wasn't even there. He was very mindful of the details within the background and would move items that detracted from the photo. He was also very creative, whether it was shooting through my makeup artist's mirror or elevating himself to get the perfect shot.

DJ knew exactly where we should be to capture all of the special moments with the perfect lighting. He carefully evaluated the venue and directed us to where the best shots would be. During the reception, he captured all the ranges of emotions beautifully. When I looked back on the photos afterwards, all of those feelings came rushing back--that's how you know he's talented!

After the wedding, DJ was very responsive to email and text messaging. This was extremely helpful to facilitate publication inquiries. I highly recommend DJ's services. He is such a pleasure to work with!

Djamel was amazing! When first looking at his work; it moved me!! Djamel did both our engagement and wedding photos and we were so pleased with how our photos turned out - they were absolutely beautiful and my husband and I felt like models! ;) He has such a unique style and is able to do very artistic shots as well as more traditional ones. It's hard to find the words to describe the experience my husband and I with Djamel. He is so incredible and we couldn't have been happier with his professionalism, the quality of the photos, and his fantastic personality. He was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Prior to our wedding he was great and we were able to work everything out via phone and email. He sent me samples of his work and I was so impressed with the photos. I honestly didn't think mine (since neither my husband or I are models) could look that good... BUT WE DID. He has the ability to capture a moment like no other and during our special day, felt like a member of our family. He was kind, caring, and able to ensure EVERYONE felt comfortable. He made us all smile through the whole experience. He also cared about his work. He knew when our poses or certain lighting was going to affect the quality of the photo and he worked with us to make sure each shot was the best shot. If I EVER need photos I will be calling Djamel. Djamel did an amazing job on our photos for our wedding. Djamel was a pleasure to work with on our wedding day. He made both my husband and I feel very comfortable taking the photos. He also made sure we got all our favorite poses from the photos we sent him before our wedding date (& they turned out incredibly). He was super friendly to all of our family which put everyone at ease. He also did an excellent job posing us for photos (allowing us to look more natural and romantic in the photos). Djamel is very skilled at what he does and we could not have asked for a better photographer for our wedding! Djamel also worked with us after our wedding to help make our photo book capture all of our favorite moments of the day. All and all we were very pleased with all of the photos we received. My wife and I were recommended by our venue to check out Djamel Wedding Photography. We had met with a few others prior to him and weren't impressed. Djamel happened to be in our town and stopped by my work to show me some of his stuff. My time is precious and if he had done nothing else that act of kindness would have been enough for me.

During our wedding he was very at tentative and focused on what kind of photos my Wife and I wanted. Djamel is funny, caring and very easy to work with. I experienced good levels of communication and could not be more pleased with the wedding photo book that he created.

As a photographer myself, it was incredibly hard to find a photographer that would capture my wedding how I envisioned it. My experience with Djamel was extremely unique. I hadn't even started dating my husband when I first met him - it was actually my Little's wedding (we're sorority girls obvi). And I remember during the evening taking (as sorority girls often do) all sorts of staged pictures some silly some serious but I remembered thinking.. wow he's really something! Then the pictures came out on Facebook and they were perhaps the most beautiful pictures of a bride and groom I have ever seen... really. Well two years later I was engaged and in waist deep with wedding details and before we knew it... my wedding planner said, "Okay... here are some photographers I suggest, take a look and see if you like any..." Djamel's website was the second one I got to and wouldn't you know it THERE on the scrolling gallery were my Little's incredibly gorgeous wedding photos and on top of that I happened to be in the background in one! I told my mom, my planner, and my now husband that I had found my "our" photographer and called Dj to talk. We hired and were ready to go... at the time my fiancé and I lived in New England which makes it sort of impossible to take engagement photos. It was getting extremely close to our wedding date, Dj graciously decided to come to our home in Rhode Island stay with us for the weekend and we would shot our engagements pictures. Needless to say... they came out exactly the way I wanted them to, it was creepy almost I showed him maybe one picture for inspiration and its like he read my mind! During that time, Djamel became not only our photographer but our dear friend we just had an amazing experience. I hold an extremely special place in my heart for him because unfortunately right after my wedding my father passed away. But I have the most incredible moments captured with him all because of Djamel, and of course my wedding photos were pretty amazing themselves, so good in face we were published in the Knot. He is the most talented photographer in the world!

Djamel was recommended by our wonderful wedding planner Kimberly Hensley and proved to be absolutely outstanding. Immediately after meeting with him to interview, we were certain he would be an excellent choice not only for his beautiful photography but because of the obvious care and concern he had for his past clients. As we perused albums of previous weddings, he spoke with a great affection for the couples and their families and told stories about the moments he had so artfully captured on camera. It was clear DJ wasn’t just there to do a job but to connect with you personally and as a result, the pictures were natural, beautiful, and full of character. I left our meeting feeling like I had made a new friend and his generous contract (great pricing for his services, very reasonable cost for albums, flexible hours for shooting the day of the wedding) made it a very easy decision to add DJ to the wedding team. He in turn helped grow our vendor list by directing us Tampa floral designer Botanica who ended up also being amazing. Prior to the wedding, we discussed ideas based on our venues and created a shot list. We had a lot of requested pictures (big family!) and DJ incorporated all these on top of all the other required shots. The day of the wedding, he was warm, creative, focused, gave great direction, was firm when required to keep on schedule, and worked very hard from the time he arrived at our suite for getting ready shots to the time he shot our departure run from the MFA. As a result of his incredible work ethic and ingenuity, our pictures are perfect and we are addicted to looking at them! DJ captured it all and told the story of our day in a thoughtfully and creatively designed album. Throughout the entire process, DJ was fantastic, starting with a kind note he sent months before the wedding and concluding with him hosting us in his home over wine and food to finalize our albums that we had in weeks, he truly is incredible!

I looked a very long time for a photographer and am so glad I found Djamel. I loved working with him, and my pictures are beautiful. He made me, my husband, our wedding party, and all of our guests feel at ease, which translated into gorgeous posed portraits and candid shots. In addition to capturing the day in a way that only an experienced professional can, he was easy to work with and responded quickly to emails, phone calls, etc. I love my photos, and I highly recommend hiring Djamel to photograph your wedding. You want to know how good this guy is? I'm the Husband and I'm writing this review...Djamel showcased my wife in a way I’ve never seen! All of her friends are telling her she should be in Vogue. On top of his incredible talent, he understands the business of weddings...He made sure that all of our other vendors were in constant communication with him to ensure a smooth day and it worked. Everyone loved him, quite a few of our friends asked for his info. We had him do our rehearsal dinner as well, an absolute treat. I just wish I would’ve contacted him earlier for our engagement shoot, which we regretfully let a friend do for us. What a difference a real artist makes! So let me tell you this from experience, do not skimp on: Drinks, Music, and Photos...without great music and plentiful libations, your party will be a miss-fire. Without a true professional behind the lens, you will only have photos, not ART, not Incredible Memories. Make your friends jealous and commission Djamel to produce for you in a way only he can. We can't thank you enough Djamel! You're the best!

OK OK OK!!! So I am a little late at giving my review but it’s only because I can’t stop looking at my wedding pictures!!!!! They are so beautiful. Djamel was great. My husband and I are from Chicago and decided to have a destination wedding in Clearwater, FL. Believe it or not Djamel was the first photographer we met and we instantly knew we wanted him. From his charm, personality and of course his photographs we just knew we did not need to meet with any other photographers.

We wanted to capture moments from our dinner rehearsal and ceremony and then we wanted to do a trash the dress as well. Djamel was with us for three days and it was great. He fit right in with our families and the most important part he captured every special moment you can imagine. We cannot express how grateful we were to find such a great photographer. He made us feel so very special that day and he took the most amazing pictures that we could not even imagine of taking.

We were very pleased with the turn around time as well. Needless to say we can not stop bragging about him. People are so pleased with their orders of photographs and say how beautiful our pictures are. I am sorry but we have to agree as well. LOL

You do not need to look any farther than to Djamel for outstanding photography. He is extremely professional, responded to all of my e-mails and phone calls promptly and most importantly made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process. I was able to shoot my maternity photos with him, and he couldn't have made me feel more beautiful. Djamel was absolutely amazing to work with. He photographed our wedding in May and did such an amazing job, He was such a great person to have around during our wedding celebration
The day was a blur if it wasn't for his kind and fun presence around us and the amazing photographs he gave us. Djamel just made the pictures something I never had to worry about ! Djamel is by far the most amazing photographer we have ever worked with. He did our engagement portraits and shot our wedding. His professional attitude and fun personality made him so easy to work with. He made us feel so comfortable, as if he was a long time friend. We waited to leave this review until we got our pictures back and I'm glad we did! Amazingly Djamel's photos were even better than we expected!!! My wife and I got married on October 12th at the Powell Crosley Estate. Djamel was recommended to us by a family friend, and he exceeded all our expectations. Djamel was not just a photographer, he kept us on track and even calmed our nerves. As you can imagine a wedding day can get hectic, and Djamel was a calming force and guided us through all the pre-reception photos. You can see Djamel's talent in the pictures. They are both elegant, but also have a great "fashion" vibe to them. He got pictures of every angle and moment of the night. We would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

I could not have asked for a better wedding photographer! DJAMEL gave me exactly what I was looking for and more!! I met with 5 or 6 photographers trying to ensure that I had the perfect one for our special day, but with just one phone conversation with Djamel I knew he was it!! He made my husband and I both feel so comfortable at our engagement session and his creative mind is incredible! We were planning our wedding in Ybor , and never had a doubt that Djamel was the best photographer for our day. He was prompt in getting back to our emails and phone calls, she gave us all of her prices up front, and never pressured us to select a more expensive package than we needed/wanted. It was right away that we felt comfortable and very happy with our choice!He was able to be direct with our wedding party, vendors, and families to make sure we got the pictures we needed/wanted - but was not rude or harsh with anyone.

I have recommended Dj to all my friends that are getting married and I can't wait to see all of them.He captures the uniqueness of every wedding, but his style is evident every time. He's a total original, and each time I look at my photos, I am grateful we had such a talented photographer at our wedding!

Djamel is an amazing photographer and I could not have hoped for a more kind, funny and professional person to capture the beauty and atmosphere of our wedding. From our first meeting until our album was finalized he was perfection! We could not have been happier with our photos and our album; he is truly an artist and the best at what he does. From our first meeting my husband and I just loved him; he was professional, easy to talk to and provided a lot of very useful suggestions. Throughout the entire planning process, he was always very responsive to all of our many questions (even when he was on vacation overseas!) and provided a lot of guidance in terms of our timeline. On the day of our wedding, I was so nervous, being convinced I am NOT photogenic, but he knew exactly how to soothe my frayed nerves! He was also very aware of when we needed a break, or some time to relax. He captured so many fantastic moments I had no idea were happening and the quality of his work is just what you want for pictures you will show generations of your family. I would most certainly recommend him as it was just a pleasure to have him be a part of our day!

DJ was such a fun photographer to work with. He was very easy to get along with and very professional. Our friends and family hardly even noticed him taking photos while we stood at the alter, yet he managed to get some very beautiful, personal shots as we were saying our vows. We were very pleased with the final photographs and have looked at our wedding book a million times over. Djamel is perfection! He has an eye for exactly what you are looking for. He is on time, extremely professional, courteous and funny too. He makes you feel very at ease when he is photographing you. Our wedding took place on a farm and he managed to catch the essence of the wedding in all of it's perfection. He took time and got amazing photos of the grounds as well as our ceremony, reception and guests. There was a moment in our vows where my husband made me laugh and he got 4 or 5 different shots of it happening. He has the ability to capture the moments that you don't even know are moments happening. I highly HIGHLY suggest using him as a photographer. Djamel was wonderful to work with. He created a very relaxed, laid back environment for a very small wedding on Redington Beach. Our photo disc was ready for us the next day and the photos themselves were fantastic. His work and his demeanor far exceeded our expectations.

From the day my daughter and I started to plan her wedding we knew who the photographer was going to be! Djamel had done a previous photo shoot of her and she knew that when she got married he would be it!! He is so creative and there is no need to worry if he is going to get the right shot. Djamel was the first photographer to respond back to me (and with a phone call!). I was really impressed when I saw his website http://www.djamelphotography.com/
I loved his eye of his brides/grooms and the detail of the wedding venues and buildings. Our venues were quite picturesque as it is but he showcased them like I have never seen before. Djamel is very professional and yet so much fun! We had a large bridal party (22 people total) and he worked with all of them very well and got the shots he wanted. If you want your pictures to be incredibly special and beautifully unique, Djamel is your man! You will not be disappointed.
