Wonderful DJ

Our wedding was an absolute blast because of DJae Melee! Speeches ran smoothly with great audio with microphones provided. The playlist was exactly what we wanted and not a single person was sitting down. Everyone was on the dance floor all night! I cannot recommend DJae Melee enough!!

The Perfect DJae!

When DJae Melee says “Empty chairs, packed dance floor” he delivers. He helped us throw a wedding that will absolutely be remembered for laughs, great music, and non-stop dancing.

His planning website makes setting your timeline and “must plays” a breeze. From the moment I heard his sound check at our venue from the bridal suite, I knew we were in for the energetic and dance filled party we were looking to throw! The vibes were amazing! Our guests started complimenting his mixes and ability to read the crowd immediately and have not stopped.

My husband and I are so pleased with our choice to hire Jason. Aside from being an amazing DJ, he is also a kind soul who clearly loves his craft! Jason sent us a video of our last dance song the following morning and it made my heart so happy to see our friends and family absolutely rocking out to Clarity.

DJae Melee Rocks Wedding

Jason was super easy to work with! He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and relates well with my wife and I. His expertise with all genres of music took the stress off us to formulate the perfect playlist. We gave him some must plays, some do not plays, and he read our vibe perfectly filling in the gaps. The night of he used masterful transitions, lights, and made the night unforgettable. Even on one of the hottest summer nights of the year, our dance floor was packed because of how he worked the crowd. We would highly recommend him!

We had THE BEST wedding thanks to Jason! It’s apparent right off the bat that he has a lot of experience both DJ’ing and working weddings. I really liked being able to see and hear examples of his work through his social media accounts; that was really important to us and secured our decision. When we met and talked, he was able to give us great insight and pointers and mentioned some things we didn’t even think of. We truly felt taken care of. We had a wide range of genres and songs we wanted, and the mix of music was perfect and blended seamlessly. Introductions, dances, and speeches went so smoothly. He really kept the night on track. After dinner I literally felt like every song was my favorite song, it was such a fun, energizing feeling!! Everyone was up and dancing the whole time! Guests of all ages mentioned how awesome he was. He made our night!

Best DJ Ever!

Your search is over. DJae Melee is the only option if you’re looking to have some serious fun on the dance floor. He not only has the best prices around, but he is NOT like other wedding DJs who try to steal the show. He is laid back, so easy to work with and very organized. We gave him so many song requests from our guests and he was able to incorporate them into what was the best playlist ever. The music was our number one compliment of the wedding and we couldn’t recommend Jason enough for your next event.

The perfect local wedding DJ

My wife and I are so grateful for having DJae Melee as our wedding DJ. He was easy to communicate with and understood exactly what we wanted after only a few minutes of chatting. I would recommend DJAE Melee to absolutely anyone! One of the first things everyone talks about with our wedding is how amazing Tbilisi dance floor was! He not only completely read the room for what music to play (and listened to me and my husbands requests and “do not plays”) but helped us with the timeline of the day and the flow of all the different events! Simply the best

As a single girl my friends and I would dance the night away at the venues where Jason was DJing so when it was my turn to get married, Jae was my only choice. We had gone to school together but it wasn't just about supporting a fellow alumni, Jae is simply the best.
We sent in our music list through his site for couples and I didn't worry about the music once. I was confident Jason would handle the segues and keep people on the dance floor. We wanted to do a family dance but the kids would waiver by the minute whether they wanted to do it or not. Jason was ready for whatever the kids would throw us in the moment. The catering schedule went way off course from what they originally gave us so the important dances were delayed significantly. Jason handled that with ease keeping the dinner music going until dinner was finally wrapped up. Everyone could have danced all night. Some of our family members broke out some surprising moves! Since the wedding, so many people told us how awesome Jason was and how much they loved the music from our friends to my grandmother. If you want the party end of your wedding to be the very best, you have to book DJae Melee.

I cannot say enough about DJae Melee. Jason was incredibly easy to work with, flexible, and had a flawless execution of our requests. He also moved with us to our new date with kindness and understanding after postponing. We had booked him a full year and a half earlier the first time around, and he was still gracious and made it happen. I HIGHLY recommend him! Jason had our entire group on the dance floor all night, and he filled the gaps in when I dropped the ball on giving enough music choices too late in the planning process - literally the day before our wedding, and he was ON IT. Our guests raved about the wedding - he made it fun and beautiful between the music and the lighting. Jason was definitely our top stand out vendor among an already great team that came together to make everything happen. He even dealt with us being annoying and - sorry - drunk chanting for just one more song at the end of the night by giving the people what they asked for. It was a blast. BOOK HIM if you want a *party* and a beautiful atmosphere.

Amazing, amazing, amazing

Jason was absolutely AMAZING. From our very first meeting he was friendly, upbeat and knowledgeable... Everything you could ever ask for from a DJ. Jason answered every one of our texts/calls/emails within a few hours, no matter the day of week. Day of, Jason exceeded our expectations. Many of our guests commented on our music - from prelude songs to our closing song. Jason had everyone on the dance floor and read our crowd to a T. People who we would never expect to be out on the dance floor killing it, were. Ryan and I recommend DJae Melee one thousand percent. Be sure to book early, you will not be disappointed.

The best in the biz!

Do yourself a favor and hire Jae for your wedding!! Jae is not only pleasant and personable but definitely one of the most professional and knowledgeable DJs in the industry. We relied on Jae to keep the night moving and keep the people dancing and he delivered beyond expectations. Jae’s approach is to stay out of the limelight, unlike many cheesy and loud wedding DJs out there, because he knows the night is about the married couple. We are constantly getting compliments about the music from our summer wedding. I’ve had other brides-to-be telling me they hope for a packed dance floor like ours, as well as older guests saying their husbands usually want to leave weddings after dinner (but for ours, stayed all night dancing!). Jae’s music selection was enjoyed by ALL guests and basically guarantees everyone will enjoy themselves. We cannot recommend DJae Melee enough to anyone who wants a worry-free night filled with all of the best music set as the backdrop to the first hours with your new spouse and closest friends and family!

Best dj ever!

We couldn’t say enough positive things about DJae Melee. He was so personable and flexible since day 1. It is clear he doesn’t just do this as a job because he’s so passionate about making sure the night is perfect and is so passionate about his music. He reads the crowd so perfectly and is so creatives in how he delivers his music. My little nephew is obsessed with music and he was so thoughtful in letting my nephew play with him. The dance floor was packed all night long and he is a large reason as to why my guests won’t stop raving about our wedding! Such a good guy! "Empty seats, packed dance floor." Amazing!

Hands down best choice!!

If you don’t book DJae Melee you’re going to be disappointed! We booked our wedding based on Jason’s availability for this summer. Our friends had used him for their wedding and we knew we wanted a great DJ who keeps everyone on the dance floor! Jason did not disappoint and exceeded all of our expectations!! The dance floor was packed the entire night and he even built this wooden booth to hide all his equipment so it would blend in the barn! Who does that?? First meeting with Jason he was super excited to speak with my fiancé and myself. He told us right up front he has never played at our venue but that didn't mean he couldn’t. He previously did some research on our venue before arriving. He told us about some previous weddings he has done and done little insights on how to make things easier for us to plan. He gave us tips and referrals of people he worked with and trust as in photographers and videographers. Very personable, friendly, family oriented, and honest.

Best Wedding DJ

My husband and I knew that one of the most important parts of our wedding day was going to be the dancing, so having a great DJ was very important to us. Jason was on the preferred vendor list of our venue and came highly recommended by our caterer. After exchanging emails back and forth, my husband and I decided to go to one of the restaurants he played at. After listening to him for about 10 minutes, we knew he was perfect for our special day!

Jason provided us with a great web portal so that we could build our day through songs and what we wanted announced. He was extremely flexible with last minute changes. Jason was helpful through the whole process. He provided a ceremony set-up for us, and played all the songs my husband and I requested. Once it was time for the dancing to start, Jason kept everyone on the dance floor for the entire night. It was amazing how he was able to engage every single one of our guests, even my 91 year old grandmother! Jason was a hit, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how much of a great time they had and how awesome the music was.

I would recommend Jason to anyone who doesn't want their guests to leave the dance floor.

My husband and I knew that one of the most important parts of our wedding day was going to be the dancing, so having a great DJ was super important. After scouring reviews, we found Jason- DJae Melee. After a wonderful phone conversation, he invited us to come listen to him at Mohegan Sun, and we were hooked.

Jason provided a great web portal so that we could build our day through songs and what we wanted announced. He was helpful and provided a ceremony set-up for us, and played wonderful music during the low-key parts of the day. When it was time to party, he used our requested songs as a jumping off point, and didn’t play one song that made me want to stop dancing. Even as most of our guests left, he kept playing music right up until our end time of 10:30. he kept the party going, and was so friendly throughout the process.

We couldn’t be happier with Jason’s services at our wedding. He was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, and surpassed our expectations for uplighting, sound, and music services. Our guests LOVED him. Everyone danced all night to the point that we had to have our shuttle service make an additional, unscheduled trip at the end of the night because we couldn’t get people off the dance floor for the first two shuttles. Djae Melee is a proper DJ! If you're looking for a non cheesy wedding DJ that actually mixes songs and doesn't just press play then he is the guy!
He is efficient, professional, reliable and does exactly what he says he will! We had an initial meeting with him which was so relaxed and we knew that we had made the right choice! He is extremely well priced and blew us away on the day with the music he played and the uplighting which we asked for. He also has a great online portal where you can input all your song choices and he follows this exactly! He is a little bit hard to get a hold of sometimes as he is a very busy guy but he always replies when he picks up the messages! We absolutely trusted him to provide a great party on our wedding day and we honestly couldn't have picked a better DJ and guy to do so!Thank you!!

DJae Melee made our wedding. During the ceremony, he had the challenging task of providing microphones and sound for a ceremony directly on the water, where wind and sound carry is a concern. At least, this is what we talked about while we were planning; on our actual wedding day the ceremony went so smooth and sounded so good that I forgot these were even concerns in the first place. We also gave him full creative control over blending two songs together to make both a memorial song followed by a bridal processional song and the transition went perfectly, with many comments from happy guests. All of these accolades were just from the ceremony. The dancing portion of the night was another type of excellence altogether. The dance floor was always packed, the mansion was lit up like a fairy tale castle (all done by Melee) and there was a large round of applause by the very large group of people left standing at last call. The crowd was really giving their all to the dancing because of the music; I've never seen my family and friends so sweaty! I honestly don't think there is anyone better out there and would use him again a thousand times over.

We chose DJae Melee for our wedding and he was HANDS DOWN not only the best wedding DJ we've ever seen, but also just one of the best DJs we've ever seen anywhere ever. While it might sound like we're biased because it was our wedding, I cannot tell you how many people have reached out to us afterwards and said that our wedding was the best they have ever been to and that was largely owed to the DJ- in fact all of us our planning a reunion to go see him in July when he plays at Brignole Vineyards! One of my girlfriends even asked him at the wedding if he had her wedding date in June open because she was willing to lose her current DJ deposit to switch if he was. DJae Melee is super talented, he has a TON of really cool mixes that he's done on his own, and 100% knows how to keep a party going. There was not one second the dance floor was empty at our wedding- he completely got our upbeat vibe and kept the dance floor jam packed all night. We were so beyond excited with how our wedding turned out, and would absolutely hire him in a heart beat. Don't second guess hiring him for a second, he's worth every single penny!

Jae made our dreams come true!! We had some songs we wanted to have played but the rest we left up to him. Very easy person to communicate with via text or email even if your too busy to meet in person. His set up of lights added an extra touch to our wedding photos. VERY AFFORDABLE!! Can't stress enough how affordable his services were!!

Jae was great to work with. Complete opposite of the awful DJ's we interacted with when doing research. DJae Melee was courteous, polite, helpful, had excellent equipment, and didn't need to be the center of attention like other DJ's we've encountered at other weddings. We pretty much had an organized playlist from ceremony through cocktail hour and dinner (though if you needed help with that he could certainly take care of that), then let him play whatever based on the crowd for dancing. We had people dancing all night. We reviewed the ceremony entrance music, and he helped us start on a particular section. He'll customize to what you need and is very responsive. And he is very reasonably priced! You'll be in great hands with Jae!

Jason was amazing to deal with from the first meeting, through the last song! His must have, and don't event think about playing list was great for my fiance and I to dive into what we really wanted our guests to hear. Jae was the DJ at my best friends wedding a few years ago and I remembered loving every minute I spent on the dance floor that night! When it came time to planning my own, I knew I had to reach out to him. He's humble and soft spoken and knows the day is all about you, not the DJ. He's extremely professional and seems like he could do a wedding with his eyes closed. His online forum is very easy to use and he can get a true sense of musical style based on the requests you make. He can read the room like no other - constantly changing songs and mixing them together to keep everyone guessing and dancing the night away. We did not stop dancing all night - and we're not big dancers! Trust me - you do not need a loud, obnoxious DJ to keep the energy in the room up. You just need one that's great at their job - and Jae is the best. He's an all around great guy and we feel very lucky to have had him as our DJ.

We met Melee when he DJ'ed a friend's wedding shortly after we got engaged. He was the first vendor we picked out, and the only one we knew we HAD to have. My family is Puerto Rican, and he gladly incorporated Spanish music. Our family and friends are still talking about how awesome the music was. Guests barely used the photo booth because they were on the dance floor all night. He also helped us with a few custom edits to songs for our processional and father-daughter dance. He is a large part of why our wedding was the best night of our lives!

I would highly recommend Jae to DJ your wedding! My husband and I lived out of state, but he was very accommodating as far as meeting and his online planning form is so easy and efficient! Jason was amazing and was one of the highlights of our wedding. Before we hired him we asked him why we should choose him to be our DJ. His response was that he knows how to read a crowd and would make sure people got out on the dance floor and danced. Well he absolutely did this!! The dance floor was full all night long and the next day everyone was commenting on how great our DJ was. Jason was very easy to work with. His planning website makes it very easy to pick out music for each special event at your wedding. He even personalized music for us. I can't say enough good things about Djae Melee! When we were searching for a DJ, I reached out to him based on great reviews and extensive experience, and I'll admit I was worried he was going to be way over budget. Jae's prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of service you get. At our initial meeting, Jae answered questions I didn't even know I had and set my mind at ease that the day would be flawless. Any time I had a question, he would answer it for me even when I was still 6 months or more out from my wedding. The online planning form was super helpful and allowed me to fill in songs as I thought of them, and I was able to make changes up until 3 days before. The day of was PERFECT. Jae totally understood our style of music and played more unique selections that were special to us as well as more well-known selections. He set the tone just right for cocktail hour and dinner and the music was the perfect volume where people could talk to one another without a problem. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. I had friends messaging me for days that their feet still hurt from all the dancing. One thing I loved was how Jae has some unique mixes, so it doesn't just feel like you're listening to Top 40 radio all night. I had multiple people talking about how great he was and how he made the night so much fun. I wish I could do it all over again!

JAE IS AMAZING!!! He was recommended by a friend and we were sold after our first meeting with him. He just was such a nice guy, and really got to know what our "vision" was. Music was a very important detail of the wedding because we wanted to have people dancing the whole time. After meeting with Jae we were so comfortable with him and confident that he would do an amazing job. We signed a contract with him right on the spot- no need to look into anyone else. We got so many compliments from our guests about how amazing he was, and the dance floor was packed the entire night! He did a great job of transitioning from a slow song or cake cutting to getting people right back on the floor dancing. We also used him as a DJ for our Jack n Jill and he was incredible! I couldn't wait for him to play at our wedding. He is very knowledgeable about what he does and listened to everything we asked. He provides you with a site where you can make special requests, and tell him what songs you have to hear, or do not want to hear. He did custom entrances for the bridal party entrances and was always available by phone or email, even Facebook. He also is just a great guy who came out to the school I work at to participate in a Transition Fair we have for the students. He is always more than happy to help in whatever way he can. I would use him for any other event I would ever need music for- he is incredible and definitely played a huge part in making our wedding day as perfect and unforgettable as it was.

My wedding music was one of the highest priorities for me because I love to dance and wanted a very ‘dancy’ wedding. It was important to me that our DJ was able to read the crowd and encourage a packed dance floor without being over the top or cheezy. After a lot of research and review reading I spoke to Jae and knew immediately he was right for our event. We used him for ceremony, cocktail and reception music.
Jae was great to work with, very reasonably priced and took our priorities and needs very seriously. He offered an online portal for us to document the schedule of the day, spotlight dances as well as must plays and ‘do not plays’. He followed our instructions perfectly and didn’t miss a beat when the mother of the groom wanted to change her song to dance with her son. My dance floor was packed all night and Jae delivered exactly the party I had hoped for.

Jae was so amazing to work with. We had lots of questions for him at the beginning, and he answered all of them. Our wedding was at the Branford House, and we were setting up the venue a little different than normal. Some DJs told us that it couldn't be done, but Jae worked with us to make sure it was going to be set up perfectly and all 3 rooms would be able to hear sound. In addition, he was reasonably priced for his fantastic services. We used him for both the ceremony music and the cocktail music as well. Both were exactly as we had envisioned. We had little contact in the days leading up to the wedding, but we didn't need to. Jae nailed it. Everyone raved about our DJ, and everyone was on the dance floor all night! We had some announcements that we wanted made throughout the night, and he helped us get the message to all of our guests without hesitation. We would highly recommend Jae to any bride & groom looking for a fantastic DJ and a great party! Thank you Jae!!

When it came time to plan our wedding, one thing was very important to me:

If I heard one hokey, stupid, inane wedding dance song (Chicken Dance, Cha-Cha Slide, etc.), I was going to lose it.

All I wanted was someone to play music as if I were going out - fun, mixed, upbeat, new age mixed with some old school entertaining music. Boom. Jae delivered.

From our first conversation, he and I were on the same page. He's a club DJ as well, and that comes through in his work. From his professional demeanor to the way he dressed, he is 180 degrees of your typical, hack wedding DJ. He sent us a thorough form to fill out online asking us every thing you could think of. We added some fairly random music to our dinner and cocktail hour music - and every one of them was played (he even played Flight of the Concords).

My best man is a self-proclaimed dance champion. He spends more time in clubs than Floyd Mayweather. He said he'd hire Jae in a heartbeat. His music choices were on point, blended well, focused on the crowd's energy, and most of all, never got stale. I can't say enough about his work.

Put it this way - if you want a cheesy wedding DJ who plays music that you should be ashamed to play for your family and friends and think "Achey Breaky Heart" was a good song, you should probably look elsewhere. If you want to value the lives of your guests and watch grandma break it down, hire Jae. The man was born to DJ.

Jae is great! He was calm, patient and accommodating. He is very professional, and I could tell he was excited about being there with us. Clearly he loves what he does :)

He got everyone dancing (including family members who never get up to dance!). People were still talking about how god the music was the next morning.

He was also great in working with a friend of ours who played the piano during the ceremony. They coordinated on their own so we didn't have to worry about a thing.

I knew Jae was a DJ that did both clubs and weddings and I wasn't sure what to expect but the last thing we wanted was a cheesy wedding DJ. He was so professional and blew our wedding guests away with his musical skills. He took all of our requests from our planning form and found a way to mix a lot of different styles seamlessly from one song to the next. Our guests never left the dance floor and all I hear about to this day was how awesome our DJ was. I have a few other friends getting married now trying to get him to perform their weddings but he fills up quick so book right away.

My wife and I first heard of DJae from a friend who highly recommended him. We attended a wedding where he provided DJ services and were impressed with his services. Communication with DJae started with phone calls and emails, but he also made time for face-to-face meetings. DJae was able to bring his experience to the table and ease all of our anxiety of hiring a DJ for the first time. With all the anxieties of planning a wedding it was great to be able to check this one off the list. DJae provided an online portal for us to upload music lists, "do not play" lists and a lot of additional information to customize the event to our needs. We decided to opt for the additional "uplighting" package which really enhanced the look of our reception room with color lighting that matched our wedding colors. During the event DJae was a true professional, being flexible as event timing changed due to traffic. I was very impressed with his ability to play our favorite music tracks and also some of his own selections to get the party started and ramp up the energy in the room. Our other DJ canceled one day before our wedding. I live in Maryland and my maid of honor used DJ Melee for her wedding in Rhode Island, and he was AMAZING. Best DJ I had seen, and I have been in tons of weddings.

Out of desperation and on a whim we called him. He came down from Conneticut, 5 hours, to our wedding and literally saved the day because he just happened to have a cancelation (I understand his schedule books up quickly, popular guy!). He was 10x better than the other DJ would have ever been. Everyone danced all night. He did the mics and music for the ceremony and the reception. He even brought lighting for the receltuon which we didn't expect. His selection of music was perfect: relevant, upbeat, exactly what we asked for (not the typical cheesy wedding music). My friend requested a very off-beat song and he played it 2 songs later with a smile.

DJ Melee is amazing. He even took my favorite picture from our wedding from his phone (me walking with my 2 year old son down the isle from his position inside). We CAN NOT say enough good about him! What a lifesaver!

My husband and I felt that the music that was played during our event was one of the most important details on our wedding day. I cannot say enough about how Jae listened to each of our requests and exceeded at each of our expectations- he was truly as professional as they come! Every guest commented on the music selection and how the volume was just perfect; every age group was up on the dance floor and our guests could still carry on a conversation without having to scream to be heard ( we've all been to one of "those" weddings). He added special lighting that was the perfect touch and even our even coordinator stated what a pleasure it was to work with him. My husband and I wanted our celebration to continue past the traditional end time, so we opted for an after party at our venue. Jason set the tone for our “after party” perfectly. Appropriately, we called the after party “Club L”, and a club it was! Everything you’ve read about Jae on these boards is 100% accurate. He is extremely busy with weddings and club work, as well as his family, and sometimes I did have trouble getting in contact with him. However when it came down to the month before the wedding he was very responsive, and honestly I had nothing to worry about because he knows exactly what he’s doing. He is worth more than he charges! He has an online planning form in which you complete everything...names of the bridal party, black list, must-play songs, timeline of events, etc...it is very user friendly and easy to use. I had no worries at all with Jae, he read the crowd and knew how to get the dance floor packed. If you are considering booking him, or have booked, be sure to follow him on facebook because he does post booking or balance pay discounts.

We used DJae Melee for our wedding September 1st and I am so glad we chose him!! He was awesome!! We used him for both our ceremony and reception and he did a great job. He has an online planning form that is super helpful and really easy to use. Jason is a really nice guy and such a great DJ! It was nice to be able to give him just a couple of songs that we liked and he just went off those and played songs similar! People were on the dance floor the whole night and everyone keeps raving about how much fun our wedding was and how awesome the DJ was!! I would recommend Melee to anyone!!

We used DJae Melee (Jason Palermo) for our July 2013 and I was so happy we did! I was recommended to him through my photographer (who actually photographed Jae’s own wedding a few years back) and they frequently work together, so it was awesome! We used the online planning form throughout the months leading up to the wedding and it was easy and took a lot of stress away! It was nice to know that we could give him a couple songs and he played each part of the night perfectly! When we met with him to go over everything right before the wedding (this was the first time my husband met him) he “got” exactly what we wanted from our ceremony to our cocktail hour and reception. On the ride home, my husband said, “He’s a really cool guy, I’m so excited!” (this coming from someone who doesn’t really care too much about music, artists, songs, etc.) To say that Jae knows what he is doing is an extreme understatement. From the moment the dancing started until he played the last song our dance floor was packed. He even got my grandmother, grandfather and my mother-in-law (who is quiet and reserved) dancing all night long! Jae is HIGHLY recommended!!!

Jae was awesome to work with and we were so lucky to been able to have booked him for our wedding after reading all of the great reviews on the knot. Jae was responsive to e-mails, and very flexible with meeting with us via skype. We loved everything from the uplighting, to the custom entrances to our surprise harlem shake dance the we did during dinner. He was enthusiastic and excited about the visions we had for our wedding and was very budget friendly :) My husband and I were on the dance floor the entire night along with all of our guests and we continue to hear from our guests how much fun they had at our wedding.

I went with Jae after skyping with him per all of the suggestions on theknot message boards. Loved his laid back attitude and the fact that he wasn't showy. I'm a big music fan and I sent him very specific stuff that I wanted. He played all of it and then some which he added (amazing choices, I might add). He wasn't talky or cheesy. I remember thinking at the end of the night when he said good night to everyone, how strange it was not to have heard him much. But that was also nice because he didn't take anything away from us or the music (which I feel like I've seen other dj's do). The goal of my wedding, a dance party, was fulfilled.

Jason was wonderful to work with!!!!! We were so happy to find out that he was available to DJ our wedding since I had heard so many great things about him from work. He replied promptly and was very flexible in meeting to discuss what we wanted. Throughout our planning, Jason ALWAYS answered our questions and made us very comfortable about our decision to go with him. He is very affordable, although he could charge a ton more for what he does! We loved being able to put our song picks easily online up to 2 days prior to our wedding. He also made a wonderful customized entrance for our bridal party instead of the standard single song for everyone to enter in on. On the day of the wedding, the uplighting was absolutely perfect!! It really made the room! Following dinner, Jason really tuned into the guests and got everyone up dancing...I don't think that we have ever seen such a crowd on the dance floor! I would highly recommend Jason for any event, without any hesitation! You will not regret it!!

Jason was an excellent DJ and knew exactly how to keep our wedding moving forward! He was incredibly professional throughout the entire process from planning to execution. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Jason listened to us as we explained how we wanted our night to play out, and the type of music we felt best represented our style for each and personalities for each portion the evening. When it came time to perform he was exactly what we expected, he created a well-choreographed show for our guests to enjoy as they relaxed and danced the night way. That is saying a lot given that we had many friends and family who are not fans of dancing, but yet they spent the evening on the dance floor! The soundtrack for our wedding was exactly as we’d hoped, and Jason was able to read the crowd to keep the party moving the entire night. We highly recommend him for your event, you won’t be disappointed!

I can't say enough great things about DJ Melee -- he is by far the best DJ a bride and groom could ask for! Jae was great to work with, truly understood what we wanted and made sure that we got it. He kept the dance floor packed the whole night! We gave him some guidelines (Sinatra-style during cocktail and dinner, oldies to start the dance floor, 90's and hiphop later in the night) and he nailed it the whole time, including the custom intro mix he created from scratch. He REALLY knows his music and is great at reading a crowd, he keeps a low profile and skips the gameshow host routine that so many DJs are known for. Jae is a great guy and a true professional, and if you can manage to beat the other brides to it, BOOK HIM! :)

Jae is probably one of the most popular vendors in CT on the Knot and other boards. DH and I booked him as soon as we met with him- he is young, down to earth, and really knows his stuff- all for a great price. I have read some reviews from other brides who have had trouble contacting him, but we didn't have any issues. He always seemed to answer within a reasonable amount of time and seemed to work really hard to make us happy. During the night he did refuse to play some of the songs that we had asked him not to play and always asked for my or DH permission before playing anything "questionable" which I appreciated. The only snag that we ran into was during entrances when I had forgotten to add one of the songs in for one of our couples- totally my fault and Jae worked immediately to fix it so no one ever knew any better. I would highly recommend him as a DJ.

Jae is by far the best wedding DJ I have ever been around! He came to us highly recommended and as soon as we met him we understood why. He is extremely knowledgable and experienced - during the initial meeting he shared his own wedding experience as well as some of his recommended do's and don'ts. He was spot on with everything. He took the time to get to know us as a couple, what type of wedding vibe we wanted and specifically what we did not want. We completely trusted him with creating a customized wedding entrance song ( he even accommodated an 11th hour request) which our guests continue to rave about. The dance floor was rocking the entire night and he was solely responsible for that. If you are looking for a modern DJ who can read a crowd like no other and make even those who "don't dance" stay on their feet for 5 hours then he is your guy! We had no challenges communicating with him at any point during our process and felt at ease and comfortable with him at all times. His electronic paperwork is thorough and had us thinking about things that had not crossed our minds. There is no way that any modern couple would be disappointed with Jae's service.

Jae is an amazing DJ who did a fantastic job for my wedding. The guests were on the dance floor the WHOLE night - even when the last song was played, the dance floor was still packed. His value is incomparable - he charges far less than any other area DJ, but the quality is not sacrificed in the slightest. He has detailed forms to ensure he is playing exactly what you want to hear, when you want to hear it. All of his forms are made available online, which I feel is comforting to have at your fingertips to complete at your own pace. I sent in a whole list of suggestions for our dinner music and was thrilled to hear he stuck to the songs in my list and style. In addition to playing "must hear" songs for the dancing, he took requests and played awesome music that fit with our personality and mood of the evening. He is very good at providing exactly what you need and making any necessary adjustments. I wrote him specific directions on how the ceremony music, first dance songs, and cake cutting music should play out, and he followed them exactly as I imagined. We opted for uplighting at our wedding, which was beautiful. He also brought along lights for the dance floor which was unexpected, but absolutely wonderful!! Finally, as we got closer to the wedding date, he was very responsive to my emails and answered all of my questions. I only became more and more excited about having him there to help entertain my guests. He is extremely friendly and made sure he said goodbye before he left at the end of the night. I was lucky to find Jae through my sister at her wedding... and any bride would be lucky to have him at their wedding in the future. I would recommend him 100%, over and over again.

Jae was great to work with all around. We had some unusual song requests for our ceremony and he found the music and worked everything together perfectly. We also had a slight change to the wedding party intros and he added that in without a hitch, as well as impressively pronouncing multiple difficult last names between us and our wedding party. He did an awesome job picking the right mix of music for us at the reception, including all of my top requests I had sent in beforehand. I spent the majority of the night out on the dance floor having a blast. We are so happy we chose DJae Melee for our wedding.

Jae was very professional and helpful. We never went over when to cut off the first dance song. All I had to do was give him a nod and he knew exactly what to do. He was watching me all night to make sure I was happy with what he was playing. I stayed on the dance floor all night. I had an amazing time dancing to his amazing music choices. He also did the uplifting which was stunning.

Jae was awesome. He really stuck up for me when my guests started to ask for forbidden songs, which I gave into anyway in the end, but he really stuck to the plan. We mapped out the night so I made sure I didn't miss anything like other weddings I had been to where they didn't do a bouquet or garter toss. Thank goodness I did! If that is my only advice to brides-to-be, it is make sure you set aside time for everything or you will miss it, because that night goes by so fast! He did an awesome job making my custom ceremony music, and it sounded perfect, just like I imagined. Also, the lighting was GREAT, and included in his base price! He completely understood my vision. My guests were on the dance floor as soon as the music came on, and the party was so good people even spilled into the parking lot after the reception ended just because it was such a good time. He can really read a crowd. As for his prices, if I could give him 10 stars for value, I would. Don't look anywhere else, he is the whole package and the best deal you will find.

Jason was extremely accommodating to our requests and really helped to personalized our ceremony. It was also refreshing to have someone closer in age and our generation. Jason was delighted to work with music that we appreciated and offered a wide variety of similar music. We had asked him to mix together Louie Armstrong's It's a Wonderful World with Joey Ramone's and he did an amazing job. In addition to this song, guests frequently came up to us to tell us how impressed they were with the music as well as the unique touches Jason provided for us. At the end of the night when the shuttle was running late he even offered to drive a few people back to the hotel. Luckily the shuttle came and it didn't come to that but this example really captures the care, attention, and commitment he has to being one of the best DJs around. We would highly recommend him for anyone looking to book an event.

Best DJ ever!! I found myself bogged down towards the end of planning and only ever provided Jason with my ceremony music and the key dances for the reception. He was able to find instrumental versions of all the off-the-wall songs I wanted in the ceremony and he provided us with some great advice on how to space out the traditional dances without boring our guests. He was incredibly professional, kept the dance floor packed (with no direction from us AT ALL), but we got loads of compliments on the music. I would recommend him to anyone, he was just that good!

DJ Melee provided a great service for our wedding in May 2011. He was very accomodating and flexible to our situation. Our wedding had both indoor and outdoor setups and DJ Melee mastered the entertainment. He was very quick to respond to the moods of the crowd- which saved our party!

Jason provided DJing for my wedding on June 11th. He did a wonderful job and I was so happy that we had chosen him for our day. I am 100% against the typical cheesy wedding DJ and Jason is exactly what you are looking for if feel the same way as I do. He will only do what you want him to do in terms of music and announcements and does a lot of pre-planning so he knows exactly what you want. He provided music for our ceremony, cocktail and reception and kept in touch with me for timing on FOB dance and cake cutting. I did not have a hard-set time frame of when dances and cake cutting should happen and I left it to Jason to give me the sign of when he thought it was the best time to do these - and that worked perfectly. He played the perfect song choices for our dinner and the dance floor was packed all night long. I never take my shoes off at weddings and I had to take my shoes off very early in the night because I was dancing so much. We also had a lot of our guests coming up to us saying that our wedding was one of, if not the most, fun weddings. Jason was professional and a pleasure to work with. I even had comments from some of the older people attending that he played the music at just the right level and they didn't have to request it was turned down like they have done at other weddings. Truly a wonderful DJ and I would recommend him to everyone!

DJ was very professional. Took peoples request, provided fun and entertaining music. We had so many people tell us that was the best wedding they have ever been too and I feel our DJ was a big reason for that. The quality of equiptment was great and provided us with our ceremony music as well.

Jae is a true professional and knows his business! He knows music and how to figure out what the client wants even if they aren't quite sure themselves. His prices are excellent.

Jae walked us through the process of what music was needed and it just flowed.

The music for our ceremony and our reception was flawless! (big band and instrumental.)I can't say enough good things about about Jae and his professionalism.

Whenever our wedding day is brought up in conversation the first two things mentioned are always the same: 1. How much fun everyone had 2. How great the DJ was, and we couldn't agree more. We couldn't thank Jae enough for playing a huge role in giving us the best day of our lives. He was easy to work with and helped us in picking songs that everyone would enjoy. And they did...EVERYONE was on the dance floor. He exceeded our expectations and we could not have been happier. We highly recommend Jae for your wedding or party DJ. You won't be disappointed!

One word: Amazing!!! DJ Melee gave us everything we asked for and more!! He is incredibly knowledgeable and he has extremely reasonable prices for the wonderful service he provides. I have never seen so many people dancing at a wedding before!! His ability to get any song possible and his up to date technology makes him one of the best DJs in the area. He has our recommendation to anyone looking for a DJ and we would not hesitate to use him again in the future!

Jason is incredible - I can't say enough good things about him. Being a radio DJ, I was picky about who I was going to trust to DJ my own wedding, and Jason was the BEST choice. He followed our instructions for cocktail hour (classical music), introductions (specific song selections), dinner (jazz), and party time perfectly. Our dance floor was packed all night long, and he did a fantastic job at mixing current, chart-topping music with crowd-pleasers for the parents and grandparents. His equipment is top-notch (never a cut-out during toasts, no feedback, no distortion in sound) and as a DJ, he keeps the focus on the bride & groom, and on the party - he's not the type to get chatty on the microphone and he doesn't do "wedding cheese." He was also great about a few last-minute curveballs I threw at him (like telling him that in 5 minutes' time, I wanted to toss a bouquet. "No problem!")

We would absolutely choose Jason again - he is professional, extremely talented, and worth far more than he charges.

I have been to a lot of weddings. I have heard some great dj's and some horrible dj's.....and Jae, was the best! Not only did he listen to what I hated, he listen to what I loved about music. He played the best mixes, and had the dance floor full, all night. He went above and beyond when it came to meeting with me and listening to my indecisiveness! His prices can't be beat, his style cant be beat and neither can his passion for music. I never gave him a play list of this I wanted played, just of things I didn't want, which he gladly respected. I trusted him to pick whatever songs he wanted, to make my night memorable, which he did, and he did it well! I have been and will continue to recommend him, highly.

Jason DJed our October 2 wedding and he was great! Throughout the planning process, he always got back to us quickly, he treated us and our guests well, he was low key and laid back, understood what we wanted and delivered it. We had our wedding in upstate NY and Jae drove the 5+ hours to DJ our wedding!! We were incredibly happy with everything he has done for us. His professionalism goes above and beyond to accommodate anything and everything we asked for. Our guests had a great time and we were thrilled to have had such an awesome DJ. The DJ pretty much makes the wedding, if you've got a terrible DJ, your guests wont have fun and the party sucks, but everything about our day was amazing. The ceremony music, the reception, everything was perfect and could not have been better!! We have recommended Jae to others and we will continue to do so!
