Timely, detailed & dedicated

DJ Steve Rivera was responsive from day one. Responsive to me means within 48 hours of each email. He has this awesome personal login for each couple where you can make your music playlist, timeline and vendor information. It even tracked each payment so we could see where we were with our billing statement. He met with us prior to the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page and to make sure songs were accurate. Day of he showed up early to set up and test all equipment. His timing of each song during the ceremony, speeches and reception were on point. Our guest enjoyed the music selection and ambiance.

DJ Steve Rivera was the perfect choice

My wife and I were married on a Sunday in February of 2019 in Seattle, WA. If anyone remembers, that was the weekend of the snowpocalypse! DJ Steve drove through the snow to make it to our wedding and we were so grateful.

DJ Steve has a wonderful pre-wedding planning process and takes the time to meet with his clients to get to know them, understand the flow of the ceremony, and to ensure they receive the product they are looking for. DJ Steve invited us to listen to him play at a local bowling alley and he had the place rocking all night long. He was the best choice we could have made for our wedding, and I highly recommend his services to anyone in the market for a wedding DJ. So many people complimented us on the music at our wedding. He mixes as he goes and there was no let down to the fun and energy the entire time we were dancing. Please don't pass up the opportunity to have DJ Steve play at your wedding so you can have that wedding that everyone remembers!

DJ Steve MADE our wedding

DJ Steve read the room like the back of his hand. He did an absolutely fanatsatic job at my wedding. He navigated the ceremony and reception perfectly. He handled our friends who requested raunchy songs too early in the night very well. He even found the right timing for my husband's Norwegian viking music (during the buffet line, for a limited duration). I would hire him again, absolutely!!!

September Wedding

Steve was responsive and very professional. His website is easy to use and he is able to download any songs that he doesn’t have already.
He has up lighting and brings all of his own speakers/equipment.

Great DJ & great music

We loved working with DJ Steve! He met with us to discuss what we wanted, and the website that he uses for music was so easy and convenient. He even made the trip to our rehearsal! Having him and his team during the wedding was awesome. He did a great job as the MC, and was very tasteful with his music and played a lot of the songs that we wanted. Would highly recommend!

Affordable and Efficient

Steve provides exceptional service for our wedding last year. It’s taken me a year to get around to review but it’s been on my list to do so because quality like this needs to be recognized. If your looking for a well priced DJ that will make your special day perfect look no further!

He made my wedding a dance party!

The absolute best! He kept the wedding moving and on time! He also played the best mix of music! He had people on the floor all night and they were sad when it was over! He also had an amazing set up with awesome lights!

We were so blessed to have J City do the music for our wedding reception this summer! DJ Steve was very professional and had such a great personality. He met with us at our venue more than once to make sure everything was perfectly planned down to the tiniest detail. We were able to request our favorite music, and he even helped us with a special surprise for the Matron of Honor during the traditional dances. I was a very nervous bride so it was especially comforting to arrive at the reception, have DJ Steve be one of the first friendly faces to greet us, and know in my heart immediately that the evening's events were in capable handles. He was a valuable part of our wedding day team. My husband and I dreamt of the perfect wedding with everything running smoothly. It did!!!

We learned of Steve from friends - he did such a good job at their wedding, that we decided to hire him on for ours! We are so glad that we did. Steve is friendly, professional, and clearly knows what he's doing. We had a morning wedding, and he was able to keep everyone out on the floor and having a great time (which I hear is hard to do for a day-time reception)! He also worked well with our planners, and everything on the big day went smoothly. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a good dance party, book Steve. He was a great MC, very professional, and was a ton of fun. He was very accommodating with every request we had and made sure we had nothing to worry about on the big day!

Steve was the best DJ and MC we could have ever asked for! He is the whole package - extremely professional, easy to work with, very accommodating to our requests and ran the whole day so effortlessly & smoothly. Steve is friendly, responsive and just an overall great guy. He made the wedding reception so fun. We danced all night and played all the songs we requested plus through in his own. Great mixing songs together so no pauses in the dance party. I highly recommend Steve for your next party!

If you are looking for the best DJ for your event, then look no further than J city Entertainment! Steve is an excellent DJ to say the least. He is personable, professional, courteous, helpful, and has one of the best attitudes ever! I could go on for hours about how amazing this guy is but here's some highlights. He's affordable, easy to work with, flexible (we all need that), and very easy to communicate with. He just did our wedding on 02/28/16 and my husband and I couldn't be more thrilled with our results! He kept our guests entertained and dancing. He's a class act and I hope I will get the opportunity to work with him again in the future. Thanks again Steve!

We host a beer garden for hundreds of people during Fremont Summer Solstice Fair - Steve was just fantastic - very responsive and enthusiastic. Our beer garden this past summer was by far our most successful. The crowd really responded to Steve's music and he also read the crowd accordingly. Even though we didn't have a dance area set up, people made one themselves. We had also only scheduled Steve to play until 7 pm, but he stayed until 11pm because everyone was having such a great time. We will use him again next year (if he's available!)

We found Steve through Luna Bella Photography. Everyone at our wedding said that our music was amazing! Steve was awesome to work with and even came to our rehearsal.

I would use him again for other events. We had so much fun dancing the night away : )

DJ J City was awesome to work with! A good friend of mine recommended me to him so I knew I was making a sound investment, but he totally exceeded our expectations. He was super professional, accommodating, kind, and thoughtful throughout the planning process. I had a pretty hard time choosing all of the ceremony music and he offered some great suggestions and came in early to help us with the rehearsal to make sure that we loved the songs on the day of. He also had great lighting and sound, made all of the announcements, helped excuse tables during dinner, and had people on the dance floor all night!!!

J-City Entertainment with DJ J-city created an atmosphere at our wedding and reception that cannot even be put into words. With his MCing, coordination activities, and music, he help lead us to a flawless ceremony and even more perfect reception. I believe he was a direct result of why our wedding was one of the best anyone could ever have. Not only did he become a friend through the entire process, but has left me feeling like we've been friends for ever. Thank you DJ J-City. You rock!

Steve, also known as DJ JCITY, was AMAZING! Leading up to the wedding he was easy to get ahold of and answered all our questions quickly. He was super flexible and willing to meet my fiance' and I late in the evening because of our crazy work schedules. At our wedding he kept the party going and was SO fun. He worked with our wedding coordinator to keep events on time and he was super entertaining. I cannot recommend him enough. You will not be disappointed if you hire him for your event.

Steve aka DJ J City did an amazing job at our wedding!! He played music for guests of all ages and we rocked out all day! We couldn't have asked for a better person then Steve to DJ our wedding. He is so much more then a DJ. He helped us plan our outline for the day and was always checking up on us! Even during the wedding he was getting the wedding party drinks and always check on us. Thank you so much Steve for everything you were a huge help! More then you know! Steve Rivera has provided the music at the South Snohomish (now the Edmonds/Lynnwood) Relay for Life for the past several years (maybe even 4-5 years).
The music is appropriate for this community/family event.
He is flexible to the needs of the event and always goes above and beyond.
I would highly recommend him for any event.

Steve came out with all of his equipment, had it set up all day and did exactly what he said he would do. He played a wide range of music for everyone to enjoy and kept it fully appropriate to our event. He stayed all day, and was very upbeat and fun the whole time, which was just what we needed after a long day. We would definitely recommended him to friends!

I really enjoyed having Steve Rivera DJ our Biggest Loser events. These events are meant to inspire and have a blast with people are serious about their goals. The fact that his music can match and bring up the energy level to the highest it can be by his music choice and creative side. I use Steve for all of our biggest loser events at vision quest Edmonds.

I would highly recommend Steve for any occasion. He made our day flawless, and I am so thankful for that. Not many people can say their wedding went out without a hitch! pun intended ;)

This last spring Steve also dj'd for my good friend's wedding; another flawless day.

I have also been to several occasions where Steve provided his awesome skills for our entertainment. We met through his roommate, and their home was sort of the weekend spot to go prefunk for the bars. Steve always turned his equipment on; our weekly house parties were professionally dj'd! I cherish those times and will never forget it.

He is and will always be my go-to guy for music.

Not only did Steve do an amazing job with my music and did it exactly how I wanted it.Steve took it upon himself to help all of my bridesmaids and grooms men and basically became wedding planner because he seen that my wedding was in shambles and made my wedding the best Seahawks wedding I could have dreamed of!thank you again soooo much Steve I hope to work with you again.

Excellent DJ

We had the challenge of hosting a multicultural and bilingual wedding with a broad range if music requests and DJ Steve delivered! We have very few photos from the night because people were on the dance floor until the very last minute. He was amazing and the music was perfect! He brought awesome up lights that really elevated the space. Our only complaint was that it could take a week or so for him to respond, but even so we were never worried that he wouldn’t come through for us. Definitely recommend!

Steve was great and professional! Everyone at our wedding had a great time and were very impress with the selection of music. He played each song we wanted for our wedding and handled last minute changes. He listened to how we wanted the flow of our wedding to be and always kept us up-to-date during the wedding. Although, I understand wedding season can be busy and everyone has a life, I would have just preferred a quicker response time and all questions answered.
That doesn't change our minds to recommend and give out his info. :)

Lots of good feedback regarding Steve from guests and the venue. We are lucky he was willing to come all the way out to Leavenworth for our wedding. I could tell he was altering the music to what our guests were most responding too.

Steve was awesome! A little stressed on time on the big day, but he delivered a great dance reception, timely schedule, and the people loved him! You rock, Steve!
