The very best DJ!

I am so so so glad we had DJ Sota (Dakota) as our DJ for our wedding day! We had to postpone our wedding 3 times due to COVID and Dakota was there with us through it all. He was such a trooper and was always supportive and so easy to work with. On our wedding day, he was an amazing MC throughout the night and kept everyone on the dance floor having a great time! He takes time to get to know you prior to your wedding day to figure out what songs are best to play. But he also did so much more than just DJ!! Dakota made our personalized Monogram that was up on the wall in our venue. He also did all of our uplighting, pin spot lighting to really accent our florals and the venue. We used the PhotoBooth through DJ Sota which was a total hit at our wedding! They provide a photo album with a copy of every photobooth picture your guests took with a personalized message. It was SO fun to look back on these the next day and see all our friends and family having so much fun. Finally, DJ Sota provided the cold sparkler fountains for our wedding which were AMAZING and such a WOW factor during the grand entrance, first dance and other times throughout the night. Dakota did such an amazing job, I couldn't imagine our special day without DJ Sota!!! Would highly highly recommend!

Best DJ Ever

We had DJ Sota at our wedding and we are so glad we did. A wonderful experience from first contact to the last song of the night. We absolutely made the right choice! We felt listened to and cared about and our guests felt very entertained as they shredded the dance floor and vibed with our awesome DJ all night. If you want a DJ that sounds good, looks good, and truly cares about providing a super high quality experience, look no further. You found him!

A day written in the stars

DJ Tyler was absolutely amazing! Tyler is great at what he does, his ability to read the room and get people out on the Dancefloor is unmatched… We did not have a wedding coordinator to keep the timeline going, however, we created our own timeline and went over it in detail with Tyler, And he was absolutely on top of it!! There wasn’t one thing that went wrong with our wedding, we were truly blessed… If you are lucky enough to have Dj Tyler as your wedding DJ, just know you are in great hands! five stars all across-the-board for this company, five stars all across-the-board for Tyler! Best DJ ever!

Dakota aka DJ Sota was super easy to work with and totally understood the vibes we were going for for each section of our wedding. He tailored his playlist to all our exact specifications and also worked in other song selections that totally worked for our group. He was also great about keeping us on track with our desired timeline. He even was a good sport with the rain and his photobooth assistant was such a trooper because she was setup on the covered patio outside. Could not recommend him more for a fun, upbeat millenial aged wedding!

Danced the Night Away

One of the most important details of our wedding was the DJ and boy did we pick a GREAT one! Not only did we have an amazing time on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG, but so did our guests which made us very happy. DJ Sota really listened to our vision and was able to help give suggestions on how make the night flow perfectly. Hands down one of my favorite things about my wedding!

Dj sota --- fantastic!

DJ Sota was the perfect choice to DJ our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding reception being held at our home. He was instrumental in suggesting how to best use the available space since this wasn’t a standard wedding venue. He spent time with us on the phone and made a visit to check out our home so he would have a game plan prior to the day of the event (very much appreciated his extra effort!). He also corresponded and spoke with the couple to understand exactly what they wanted out of the experience.

The music was great, the event management was perfect and DJ Sota’s flexibility allowed us to have him extend his stay by an hour since the guests were still going strong on the dance floor!

If you are lucky enough to book DJ Sota for your next event, be prepared to have a GREAT time!

So much fun!

DJ Sota was amazing during the wedding ceremony but his skills really were highlighted during the reception! From ensuring all the speeches and important dances happened on time, to making sure the playlist kept the dance floor packed all night, we LOVED DJ Sota! We got so many compliments that the playlist and songs were on point the whole time and that's all thanks to DJ Sota. He was so professional when we had our consultation (even from two different countries away) and made sure he understood the vibes and feel of what we wanted. We had a great mix of music so everyone who attended wanted to dance - no matter their age! He's also got that great "announcer" voice so that was a great bonus for getting everyone to listen lol.

DJ Sota is awesome!

Our friends got married a few years ago and I remember having the best time at their wedding - a lot having to do with the music. So when the time came for us to book a DJ for our big day, I knew I wanted to use the same DJ ... that man ended up being DJ Sota.

I was SUPER passionate about the music for our wedding and told him I wanted to pick every song... which I imagine might be a scary thing for some DJs. But he was fine with it and gave me suggestions about how many songs and what type of tempo for each portion of the evening (pre-ceremony, cocktails, etc) and a helpful suggested song list to assist. He carefully reviewed all of my playlists and was on board with most - and gave me honest feedback about a few he thought might not work so well.

We had a great chat the week leading up to the event where I walked him through some of the non-traditional plans we had for the event. I really appreciated his thoughtful consideration and the way he rolled with everything.

He had asked if he could have a little flexibility for the reception and add in songs similar to what we had listed to help ensure that the dance floor stayed packed. Well, it was an uncharacteristically cold night in So Cal, but DJ Sota made good on his promise to keep the party going - the dance floor stayed consistently full all night!

Everyone is talking about how much fun our wedding was and DJ Sota played a huge part in the success of the evening. He was on time, professional and fun - we highly recommend him!

DJ Sota is a Dream

From the moment he sent us his wedding worksheet, to the incredibly organized and helpful planning call to set the schedule, to the flawless dinner party music, to the dance party of our dreams, Dakota was a master of ceremonies in every sense. I had guests coming up to me at the end of the night even saying "I can't believe he played 'xyz song'! It's like he read our minds!" We asked for a dance party, and he delivered! He kicked off the party getting every single guest on the dance floor, and kept it going until the final ride-or-die friends finally shuffled away at the end of the night. He also curated impeccable cocktail hour and dinner playlists, setting the tone for our perfect evening.

Don't even think twice! Book dj sota!

Dakota did an amazing job as our DJ! He was flexible the day of and accommodated all of our hopes and wishes for the wedding. If you are unsure about who to book look no further! He WILL make it a party. He took our song choices into account and did a great job with the layout of the playlist. He also was spot on with the sound setup for the ceremony. Great DJ! Such a fun time!

We had DJ Miles perform at our post-elopement celebration at El Adobe de Capistrano. Both he and Dakota listened carefully to the unique music taste my husband and I had. He brought so much fun energy and kept the crowd going for our dance party! As a customer, I felt heard and understood. You can really tell that DJ Miles cared about our experience and always kept the party happy and uppity. I'm so appreciative to have had such an amazing DJ at our event and I 10/10 would recommend them to anyone.

Glorious Soundtrack to our Wedding

Dakota of DJ Sota Entertainment was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He took our ideas and made them reality. Not only did he take our ideas and execute them perfectly, but he offered suggestions based on prior experience of the venue, and he could not of been more spot on. I had some decent expectations for our soundtrack during the ceremony but Dakota knew exactly what I wanted and gave me just that. Fantastic DJ and MC

DJ Sota was the DJ and MC for our wedding at the Westlake Village Inn. He also provided uplighting and photo booth services. We interviewed several DJs in the LA area before meeting and signing with DJ Sota. We were instantly impressed by how professional he was; he showed up to our first meeting with a laptop to showcase prior weddings at our venue. He had great insights about weddings at our location, which was super useful when we worked through room layout and reception logistics.

Hiring the right DJ was our top priority after selecting the venue. We wanted to keep the dance floor packed the entire night. DJ Sota delivered! He gave us a detailed worksheet to plan our playlist and "filler music". Though we were very specific about our playlist, we were confident that DJ Sota understood our taste and vibe. He is as structured or flexible as you want him to be. Some DJs we met said they would take a few "do-not-play" songs but otherwise would "do their thing". Some DJs we met said to give them the full playlist and they would play it. DJ Sota made us feel very comfortable that he could give us the experience we wanted without needing micromanagement. He is very responsive via email and phone.

We had the TIME OF OUR LIVES!! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Amazing - everything we wanted in a DJ!

DJ Sota was fantastic! The music was the number one thing I cared about during our wedding, and I’m so glad we hired him as it was everything I wanted for the day. He’s punctual, polite, upbeat and really listened to the vibe we wanted throughout the evening. We had a call with him ahead of the wedding to go over our music selections and wish list to make sure we were totally comfortable the day of, and he listened to everything we asked for. He did a great job reading the room as well and making sure the dance floor didn’t die down! I had so many people come up to me to say the music/DJ were great. My day-of planner also caused some confusion on when the speeches were happening, and DJ Sota stepped in to fix it and made sure it ran according to plan, which we were very grateful for. Would definitely hire him for any wedding or party needs!

Absolutely Amazing!!!

Dakota did an amazing job as our DJ for our big day! From the beginning he was very responsive and helpful. He really listened to what we wanted played at our wedding, and kept the dance floor poppin all night. He was very tasteful in his MCing and had smooth transitions from our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and activities during our reception. Our guests commented on how much they loved the music, and how they haven’t danced that much at a wedding! Awesome DJ!

We hired DJ Sota for our wedding and he was fantastic! From our first call with him, we knew he was the best choice for us. He was very professional, easy to work with and made the music selection process so simple! He worked well with our wedding and venue coordinators. Easy to work with, professional and prepared

We hired Dakota to DJ our wedding 2 weeks ago and he was fantastic. The music was super important to us since we weren't hiring a band. DJ Josiah was the best!

DJ Josiah and DJ Sota were so easy to book with for our wedding! It was stress-free, easy, and so accommodating. They were able to talk to me on the phone a few times before the big day and got the gist of the flow and guests that were coming. I was able to tell them the vibe we were going for and they delivered! I gave them full rein to feel the crowd and play what fit the theme we talked about over the phone. It was incredible! The flow of the night was perfect, DJ Josiah interacted the right amount, and played banger after banger. Our guests still are commenting on how fun the night was and it was all thanks to the DJ! So thank you guys for everything you did! So professional.

DJ Sota Was Perfect

DJ Sota was great. He helped with our day of timeline with our wedding coordinator, and knew everything we needed and helped with everything we wanted. He helped tailor all music to our tastes but with our guests in mind. The dance floor was full all night. The lighting and sound were perfect. Your DJ is your MC so don't skimp and don't deal with national companies sourcing their local contractors.

I can't say enough wonderful things about DJ Sota! From our first call with him, he was professional and personable - a cut above others we spoke with. Every interaction with him gave us increasing confidence that we were in good hands. On the actual day of the wedding, he was amazing. He listened to what we wanted in terms of vibe and honored the songs I wanted him to play while keeping things moving along smoothly. When we had some last minute changes at the end of the night, he pulled them off and made it look easy. The music for the wedding was a big deal to me and he pulled off exactly what we wanted! I can't say enough about how trustworthy and professional and talented he is!!

DJ Sota was top notch- he was professional & totally gets how to make an event awesome! Music has been a huge part of our relationship and we knew we wanted our day to be filled with the music that we really loved, and so we knew picking the right DJ was crucial. Dakota (DJ Sota) was absolutely fantastic! We spent hours putting together our own MASSIVE playlist of 60+ songs for our cocktail hour and another 60+ songs for dinner/dancing to send to him, because we wanted to make sure the music we wanted was played. However, it was in no particular order and it had way too many songs for the evening, so I was curious what he was going to end up doing with it. When we met for our final details meeting with him and our wedding planner, Kristen Black, it was clear that he had done his research! While he knew most of the artists we put down, he had already looked up the few songs he didn't have or hadn't heard of, and had excellent suggestions for how to weave in our music and the music for the masses (classic wedding songs) that we wanted to include as well to make everyone happy. He had also started putting some of the songs in order based on what he thought would flow best. I was impressed with his professionalism - he had a number of things he wanted to get through to ensure he had a clear idea of our vision for the day, but we also had fun just chatting and getting to know each other a bit too. By the end of the meeting, I had no doubt that Dakota was going to deliver on an amazing day! And he did! On the day of, everything went off without a hitch! He stuck to the timeline and found a way to weave in all of our must hear music (which we, of course, put in bold on the massive list we had already sent him...we were so over the top!). People still talk about how incredible the music was and how much fun everyone had! The dance floor was packed all night and there was no awkward down time! The flow of the music and the evening was absolutely perfect and we owe that to our fantastic DJ, Dakota, and wedding planner, Kristen!

Dakota was recommended to us by a friend who used him for their wedding and I'm so glad he was! He was very detailed in requesting music from us beforehand and he was great at really getting a feel for what kind of music we wanted and what we liked. I had many compliments on our playlists throughout the event and the dance music was exactly what I hoped for. I was having a hard time focusing on visiting guests because I just wanted to keep dancing!

He was an excellent MC and kept the energy going well. We included the shoe game at our reception as well and he did a really great job with it and it was a really fun addition.

We had Dakota play at our wedding in May, 2017. I don't think the dance floor was empty all night, we had a fantastic time and danced the night away. We told him what our musical tastes were generally with a few specific requests and he was able to put together a great playlist, a nice mix of oldies and new stuff. He handled requests very well and even found songs on the spot that weren't already in his library. We would recommend him to anyone.

We chose Dakota as the DJ for our wedding on 11/6/16 and we were thrilled with how the night went. He was very hands on with everything, from sending us a rough timeline during our initial inquiry, giving us an online database to pick and choose our music from, to several phone calls where we went over all the details leading up to the event. He also had no problem giving suggestions, which was really useful in the end. We even had some last minute changes to the music that Dakota handled seamlessly.

The day itself went perfectly; Dakota kept the dance floor going, kept everything on schedule, and made all the dances really special (one of my favorites was how he approached the 'anniversary dance'). I've had several friends and family tell me afterwards about how great he was at keeping everything moving and how much fun they had on the dance floor.

We also used his wife, Kristen as our day-of coordinator and also used his photobooth service. Both are highly recommended - Kristen was a dream come true and the photobooth assistant went the extra mile and put together a book of the extra photo prints.

Overall, my husband and I thought Dakota killed it and would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. Thanks Dakota!

We had the pleasure of using DJ Sota at our wedding this past Saturday, October 29th at Spanish Hills Country Club. As an extra special benefit we had his wife, Kristen, with Stop and Stare Events help assist us with wedding planning. DJ Sota was ready and availabe to assist us with any questions leading up to the wedding. We asked for songs to be synchronized at a particular time for Grand Entrance and DJ Sota made sure that it happened to the exact second. We were also very nervous about how much light the venue would provide and DJ had uplighting ready and available the night before the wedding. Talk about keeping the bride and groom calm right before their wedding!! I would highly recommend both DJ Sota and Kristen services to anyone looking for great music, high energy and flawless execution.

We worked with Dakota to DJ our October wedding recently, and WOW, he truly impressed us!! We had a very specific motown funk music theme and he perfectly merged all of our wishes with expert suggestions & additional ideas we hadn't thought of, including coming up with genius selections for the processional tunes (and dare I say, my now husband is a slight music snob). Dakota was incredibly professional and truly helped us navigate the best music-flow for all of our happenings. He is a true expert, and I would highly suggest using him, no matter your taste preferences. He is a perfect guide - very adaptable and knowledgable. We also rented video projection through him, and he managed all of the video streaming flawlessly. The sound quality was also superb for all areas of our outdoor venue. His work, in tandem with his wife - Kristen Black - who is a coordinator/wedding planner/owner of Stop & Stare Events, was top notch. They are the best team ever, and a fantastic value. I would highly suggest hiring both of them if you do require the service.

Dakota absolutely killed it at our wedding! He's the kind of DJ who gets involved in the planning from the beginning, and understands what it takes to execute your vision for the wedding. On the day of, he worked seamlessly with our coordinator to make sure everything happened on schedule and as planned. Of course, the actual DJ'ing was on point too - everybody was dancing until we had to turn the music off!

We especially appreciated him working with us on short notice, and his willingness to drive out for our wedding. He's enthusiastic about his work, and he'll help put you at ease during what is probably a terrible wedding planning process!

Best DJ Ever!!! I have been to many weddings where the DJ totally makes or breaks the event. DJ Soto was professional and kept the party going. His announcements were right on cue and he was able to be quick on his feet and change up the timeline when new things came up. He worked really well with our wedding and venue coordinators and was so easy to communicate with. He helped to accommodate in our timeline our first dance turned flash mob turned party time, and even acted a little and played along when, at our request, he scratched the song and changed it to another one as rehearsed. Thanks to DJ Soto, the flash mob went off without a hitch and the party kept going after that. He was easy to get a hold of and was very helpful in answering all of our questions and nailing down the final timeline. When you have three different people telling you the best way to do things, he was able to put all of them together, combined with his expertise, to make the best flow for the big day.

Dakota was an amazing DJ! He went above and beyond our expectations and really kept the party going. He was a great dj and great mc and very professional. We had a few behind the scenes issues and he did a great job with keeping things on track and helping to solve some problems. I highly recommend him to anyone! Thanks to DJ Eddie, our wedding was a SUPER fun party! Music was a big priority for us and DJ Eddie executed flawlessly. Our friends love to dance and my husband and I have a very diverse taste in music from hip hop to funk to country to old school R&B. Eddie was able to provide a great assortment and incorporate everything we wanted. He also had great strategies to get people onto the dance floor. I've received SO many compliments since about how it was one of the most fun weddings they've ever attended. Furthermore, our ceremony had great sound and the whole thing went off without a hitch. I worked with Dakota in the planning phase and he was so thorough, responsive and helpful. Most importantly, he provided excellent advice from all years of experience. I would absolutely recommend working with West Coast Wedding DJs!

DJ Sota (Dakota) did our wedding for us last weekend and he was just fabulous to work with and a super nice guy. He was one of the 1st vendors that we booked because he had such great Yelp reviews and he was close to the venue (Ventura County) which we thought was super helpful - though he does travel for weddings anyways.

He set up 3 different DJ stations throughout the property (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception) as well as 12 up lights. He was very professional throughout the whole process and quick to get us quotes/information as needed. He also helped us pick a lot of our key songs because we really weren't sure what we wanted. He worked really hard all night to keep the party going and keep people on the dance floor. We had a bit of a smaller wedding - about 83 people - but with his great tunes, we kept it going until midnight! He also made efforts to play songs the older folks would like to get them on the dance floor.

He was just very attentive to our needs and we were nervous about the 1st dance/parent dances so he suggested that we keep them shorter and fade out the music and it worked really well.

He was a great M/C all night as well, talking to the crowd and letting everyone know what was going on. With his help, the wedding could not have been more seamless!

All and all, we really enjoyed working with DJ Sota from West Coast Wedding DJs and would recommend him for anyone's wedding or party in the future.

"DJ Sota is a wonderful and extremely professional DJ. He also officiated our wedding and did a GREAT job. We were so pleased with his sermon and delivery, it was beautifully done. He is great at making song suggestions for people like me who are so indecisive! I had a few last minute changes too and he handled them with no problem at all. My wedding guests and I enjoyed dancing the night away and he made the games we played so much more fun! His playlist was exactly what we talked about in our meeting and I LOVED IT! My husband and I have such different tastes and he made sure to accommodate both of us by playing the perfect mixture of songs. I had also heard a new song that my bridesmaids and I wanted to hear and he went out of his way to make sure he had it and played it for us. That was awesome! I HIGHLY recommend DJ Sota and look forward to having another party so I can hire him again! Thanks for a wonderful experience!! You are awesome!"

DJ Sota was awesome! He was very quick to respond from the very beginning and very professional. He is so helpful to help put together your whole day, the timeline and he's done a lot of weddings so he has great suggestions of how to make things run smoothly and keep your guests entertained! We received several compliments from our guests at how fun the music was. He also did uplighting for us that really added so much to the ambience of the whole night. Along with being an awesome DJ and really listening to what we wanted at our wedding he was a wonderful MC. He didn't steal the show but had an awesome presence and helped everything move along and encouraged our guests to be part of the whole evening! I would definitely recommend DJ Sota to all Bride's out there so you have one less thing to worry about for your big day because he has it handled! One of the best decisions we made!

DJ Sota rocked it. My husband and I are so incredibly satisfied with the services Dakota provided on our May 1st wedding day.

He was professional in every one of our interactions and very responsive to all of our (many) requests and last-minute changes. He listened to us, provided gentle suggestions when necessary and truly exceeded our expectations.

His non-cheesy MCing and well-designed dance sets made the evening a dream - from the walk down the aisle to the last song! We can't thank him enough.

DJ Sota is amazing!!! DJ Sota helped shape our timeline from ceremony to reception. He was patient and easy to find whenever I have questions here and there. A month prior to the wedding, we were able to go through everything with him face to face. It made us feel like we can completely rely on him. He even went in the venue and went through everything with my venue's project manager. It was such a relieve knowing he's on top of everything.

We got married at the Surf and Sand in Laguna on 10/10/15. DJ Sota is professional and experienced and played a huge part in making our wedding day seamless and perfect. My husband and I recently got married and used West Coast Wedding DJs for our reception and we are so glad that we did! Dakota was SO GREAT to work with- not only was he the emcee for our wedding reception- but he also did ALL of our lighting in the ballroom. He helped us create the overall look we wanted in the reception room by adding tons of purple uplights, pin spotting and helped create a custom monogram for us that matched exactly with all of our other décor. We really trusted and valued his opinion on how the lighting would work and it TOTALLY transformed the room into our dream reception room.
He was also an amazing emcee- We had a fun time meeting with him before the wedding to go over song selections for every aspect of the reception and he totally hit the nail on the head with what music to play for the dancing- everyone complimented us after the wedding that he played amazing song selections. He was also great on the mic introducing our extremely large bridal party and getting the other guests excited for the Grand Entrance. It was SO nice not to have to worry about having a crummy DJ at the wedding since music was something that was both very Important to us. We highly highly recommend Dakota and West Coast Wedding DJs!!! Not only will you not be disappointed by their DJ services- but also their lighting packages!

DJ Sota was really great getting all the information in order for the wedding. We had Josiah for the actual wedding and he was AMAZING! We had a very complicated layout with a lot of people and not a lot of room to work with, Josiah kept it all in order and had the guests where they needed to be when they needed to be there. Dakota did an amazing job as the DJ and MC for our wedding on 6/20/15. My wife and I looked high and low as we both are not originally from the Southern California area. Some vendors told us that you can't effectively have one person act as the DJ and MC --- Dakota proved that wrong. He kept our wedding entertained the entire night and even some slight of hand to get people up and dancing. Dakota uses an online interface so my wife and I could list songs we definitely wanted to hear on our special day along with the songs we didn't want to hear. Setting this up was fun and easy. Dakota met with us about a week or two before our event. From there things were handled. My wife and I had nothing to worry about--- we didn't look at our clock or worry about the evening's schedule the entire night. One of our out of town wedding guests is a DJ and he was very impressed.

If you need a great DJ -- look no further, my wife and I found Dakota on Yelp and we couldn't be happier that we hired him. Thank you so much!

DJ Sota did our wedding a couple months ago and was absolutely amazing!! After reading the great reviews online, we were leaning towards booking him and then our photographers recommended him when randomly asking for their recs, and it was a done deal. Not only was he the DJ/Emcee, but we also had him do the uplighting/monogram for our wedding which really transformed the room. He created a beautiful blush color and worked with us on specific fonts/lettering for the monogram and where he thought it would look best without getting in the way of the photographer's lighting - which shows his level of experience. Do not underestimate the importance of having a great DJ at your wedding. From personal experience, we can say that the DJ really can make or break a wedding when it comes to how much fun the guests are having and making sure you're keeping that dance floor full! Having a great DJ/Emcee means more dancing, better pictures/video, a smooth timeline and overall just less stress for the bride and groom. Dakota worked with us on all of the details and provided such great recommendations for us throughout the process. (We had never even thought about what type of background music we wanted throughout dinner and he immediately got to know us and worked with our tastes). Everything about the process was extremely professional and well-planned which lead to amazing execution the day of. He was SO much more than some wedding DJs we have seen where they just play songs back to back and there's not a lot of crowd interraction. Our wedding was so much fun and people are still talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor! Thank you Dakota!

We hired DJ Sota (Dakota) for our Palm Springs wedding and are SO pleased with the services he provided! He is super professional, well-priced, has a fantastic personality for DJ'ing, and is full of ideas and suggestions when it comes to your music selection. Dakota did a wonderful job of feeling out the crowd and playing songs that were consistent with the mood/vibe on the dance floor. He had almost all of our guests on their feet, and the evening's entertainment flowed seamlessly from one hour to the next.

Be sure to book DJ Sota far in advance so you don't miss out! He is fantastic, and we highly recommend him for any occasion. :)

We could not have asked for any more in Dakota and a DJ. He walked us through from begining to end, and helped us make every important decision. He knew what to do and what not to do and we couldn't have done it without him.
We sat down with Dakota and he was able to really help us nail down our song selection. From entrance songs to first dance to dancing music he had it dialed. The dance floor incorporated all the music we love with the Persian music of my family. Literally the whole wedding was on the dance floor, and dancing all night long to the very last song.
Dakota was able to supply dance lights, uplights, a monogram, a photobooth, seperate mics for speeches, and everything AV you could want. He made it so easy because it was all in one spot with one vendor. Definetly the way to do it.
During the wedding he MCed it flawlessly. Everything flowed and there was never a long unwanted break. In fact we ended up ahead of schedule! I get compliments to this day on how well the wedding flowed and I would recommend him to my friends and anyone getting married. Thank you Dakota!

THE BEST DJ, and most professional person you will meet in the wedding industry!

We had the pleasure of having Dakota (DJ Sota) as our wedding MC last week and he was perfect!
From the very first interaction, to our sit down meeting, and through the day of DJ Sota was prepared, fun, and so easy to work with.

To a DJ we are probably the worst couple, we like a little bit of everything, and we aren't very decisive. DJ Sota took the time to listen to what we liked, and come up with a playlist that was perfect for our wedding. All night our friends told us how great the music selection was, and we had a dance party until the very end!

There were no awkward moments, or empty dance floors, DJ Sota provided the very best!
We really can't say thank you enough, for how awesome he is at playing music, but also at being a part of our wedding. We really do feel that he played a key role in our wedding success, and for that we will always be thankful!

DJ Sota Entertainment is a five star business that I would recommend to anyone looking for a professional and extremely talented DJ. Dakota Sottosanto was our DJ for our wedding in Huntington Beach, CA. I hired Dakota in March for our December wedding. He books up fast so I wanted to make sure that he would be available.

From the moment I contacted him he made everything easy and I felt I was in good hands. He emailed me a DJ planning form, he has over 100,000 songs! I was able to take my time and go over each detail of the reception. Since he was so helpful I asked if he could recommend a coordinator, florist and photographer. Turns out his wife is a coordinator and a darn good one too! I hired her the next day (see spear are review for Stop and Stare events). They are a great team, I highly recommend having them both at your wedding.

About two weeks before the wedding I met up with Dakota. He had a timeline all mapped out for me and all I had to do was fill in what songs we wanted for our grand entrance, bouquet toss, garter toss etc. He steered me in into how to pick music for each section of the reception and it was perfect.

The day of the event he showed up early, was all set up, I didn't have to follow up at all. His DJ stand has a smooth cover around it so you don't see any wires. Everyone commented on how great Dakota was I even had him stay two extra hours. Best night of my life, thank you!!

We had DJ Diego for our wedding last May. He was very entertaining and kept our guests dancing all evening! We also worked with him and DJ Sota to get everything prepared beforehand. DJ Sota was the DJ and emcee for our wedding ceremony and reception last month (Sept 2014) at Dove Canyon Country Club and he did such an amazing job! He was extremely professional and easy to work with from start to finish, and he gave so many helpful suggestions on song choices, as well as on the timing and structure of our wedding. He also did such a great job incorporating the Arabic music we requested to be played, and our guests loved it! On our wedding day, he helped keep us on schedule and checked in periodically throughout the night, and most importantly, he played great music and kept the dance floor packed. Everyone had such a great time, and it was largely because of DJ Sota. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. You won’t be disappointed!

We hired DJ Sota (Dakota) for our wedding at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach. We originally hired Dakota to do the lighting and be our DJ for the reception. About 2 weeks before the wedding, I asked Dakota if we could add a custom monogram. Although we were only 2 weeks away, Dakota was more than accommodating. He was able to take the design from the back of our wedding invitation and project it on the wall. It turned out amazing! Then about 2 days before the wedding, we had a problem with our ceremony musician and asked Dakota to step in and play during the ceremony as well. Again, he came through without any hesitation!!

Everything turned about better than we even imaged! The lighting was beautiful. The music was excellent. And Dakota made sure everything went according to plan. Dakota has done many weddings and his knowledge of all the details and timing of everything put me at ease. Our hotel coordinator only facilitated through the ceremony, so it was very important that we had someone who could run the show at the reception.

In addition, my husband is Colombian and we wanted to have a mix of music and incorporate Latin music. Dakota did a great job mixing it up and keeping the Latin music modern so everyone enjoyed dancing to it.

Lastly, the best thing I liked about Dakota was that he is not cheesy or like a game show host. We met with many DJs and they all had this game show host vibe. Dakota gave the party life without taking over the show. I would definitely recommend Dakota to anyone looking for a DJ.

After finding our venue (The Summit House in Fullerton), finding our DJ was the next on our to-do list. From our first phone conversation, DJ Sota (Dakota) was always extremely professional and was able to answer any questions we had, no matter how small they may have been. Dakota DJ'd our wedding at the Summit House on 08/31/14, and he also provided the uplighting (which was beautiful) and a personalized image that was projected for us, instead of a monogram.
A couple weeks before our wedding, we meet with Dakota to go over our timeline just to make sure everything would run smoothly on our wedding day. Since I'm an optometrist, we wanted to incorporate a personalized "eye chart" to be projected at our wedding (Instead of the traditional/ standard monogram). Although we asked Dakota if he would be able to pull this off for us with such short notice, he was extremely helpful and was more than willing to help us with this unique request. The end result was PERFECT! It was just what we had pictured.
To say Dakota made our reception smoothly would be an understatement. We are both from predominately Latin families, so one of our initial concerns was to make sure we found someone who would be able to play a good mix of Latin music to keep our guest dancing. Dakota did just that! Our guest were having so much fun on the dance floor that we decided to extend our reception an extra hour to keep the celebration going!! (and Dakota was able to accommodate us with that last minute request).
To this day, our friends and family let us know how much fun they had at our wedding, especially dancing the night away. We are soo thankful to have come across DJ Sota's website. He is very professional, was very punctual, extremely organized, so easy to work with and overall helped make our dream wedding a reality. Thank you Dj Sota for everything, you are THE BEST!!

DJ Sota is it! Reliable, professional, hip, very easy to get along with! My husband and I are so grateful for how DJ Sota was able to guide us through step by step and very patient with us while we were indecisive with song choices for both the ceremony and reception. Dakota and Diego made our wedding day an absolute dream! Dakota was on the ball from the moment I contacted him, and was very flexible and helpful with our song choices. Diego was very professional, respectful, and fun! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ service!

Choosing a DJ for my wedding was something I wasn't excited about doing. I was a little worried about choosing a DJ because, unlike other components of a wedding, I couldn't actually hear/see a DJ's work before an event.... I just had to trust my instincts and reviews.

I thoroughly looked at other DJs, asked for quotes, asked friends for recommendations, but I wasn't really satisfied with anything I saw. I came across DJ Sota on WeddingWire, and I was impressed by all the reviews. I, of course, had to investigate further, and so I checked on Yelp, his website, his YouTube videos (of weddings), and his FaceBook. At this point, I felt like a stalker, but hey... a DJ will make or break your wedding, so I was determined to find a great one.

From the first time I spoke with DJ Sota, he was very professional, friendly, and attentive. Before we booked him, he met with my husband and answered all our questions and addressed our concerns. I wasn't really sure what to expect from a DJ, but DJ Sota nailed it. He promptly sent us a wedding planning sheet. This was so helpful, and it made planning the "day of" music/timeline less daunting.

About two weeks before my wedding, Dakota (DJ Sota) and I touched base on music selection and equipment needs, and a week before my wedding, we met at the venue to discuss layout and finalize the timeline and music selection. As mentioned, DJ Sota was very professional and incredibly knowledgeable. He gave me some recommendations that were very helpful. In addition, he was very thorough in his work.

If you are looking for a wonderful husband and wife team for music and coordination then Stop and Stare Events and DJ Sota Entertainment is the way to go! Kristen and Dakota were absolutely fantastic to work with and very detail oriented. I was extremely impressed by how in tune they were with the details; I never realized there were so many mini details to make a wedding day one to remember especially the music.

Music at an event really sets the mood for the whole day and Dakota developed a wonderful playlist that fit our venue/music taste perfectly. The music was wonderful throughout the whole day, he listened to what my husband and I wanted and did that and more. Also, he has a capturing voice which is a plus since he was the one telling guests information. Weeks after the wedding guests kept sending emails asking about the playlist and all the great detail of the wedding. This is the first time I have ever hired a DJ and I would recommend Dakota as one of the best DJ’s out there!

Lastly, the small details of a wedding really tie everything together and without Kristen’s wonderful help our wedding wouldn’t have ran as smoothly as it did. She was so easy to work with and was very helpful when I asked for advice. When I arrived to our wedding site everything looked amazing and just the way my husband and I envisioned it! Kristen even went above and beyond when it came to the cake cutting. We just had a plain table cloth with the cake but Kristen moved the flowers that were tied onto the chairs to the table for an elegant touch!

My advice is hire this amazing duo, plain and simple. You will not regret it!

DJ Sota (aka Dakota Sottosanto) did an amazing job as our wedding DJ at the Newland Barn in Huntington Beach. I'll just start off by saying - my husband and I are not particular about much, but we are TOTALLY particular about music. DJ Sota allowed us to build custom playlists for each wedding event, which suited our tone and personality without being off-putting to our guests. He counseled us through the process, lending expert advise that only a professional with experience in weddings would know. And together we made a one-of-a-kind experience for ourselves and our guests!

I feel like many wedding DJ's would have taken one look at our broad musical choices and ran for the hills. But DJ Sota went that extra mile to get to know the music, and was super helpful in making sure that our special songs would be played at appropriate moments (even working in some of our more obscure favorites into the open dance timeslots) He is a charming fellow to boot so MC'ing the events seemed to come naturally to him; no weird awkward silences or pauses. He was friendly, courteous, and professional to our family and friends too, which goes a long way with us. Overall we would highly recommend DJ Sota!

DJ Sota's company was so amazing to work with. We were referred to Dakota's company by our photographer, Jamie Brinkman from Jamie B Photography, who had worded with him several times prior and was very pleased with DJ Sota's team. We originally thought Dakota was going to be our DJ, but he had another event. After we had a Skype meeting with DJ Dave, we knew that this was going to be the best decision for our special day!

We had to arrange the whole thing from the east coast and they walked us through the entire process with ease. At times, we felt overwhelmed with all the typical wedding things, but with their organized time line and helpful client questionnaires, we learned quickly that this was going to be much easier than expected. They were super helpful with suggestions and giving us a peace of mind by walking us through different ideas and how to incorporate our vision for the perfect wedding.

Dave was punctual, very friendly, easily worked with our requests. He had a sense of humor, very easygoing and ensured we stayed on track with our time line the day of wedding. Even though we had a bit of a late start (we were about 15-20 min late), he managed to bring us back on track - which was super important since we had 2 other vendors who had a specific time they needed to start their performances. Every guest that had a request or needed his assistance continued to rave about his professionalism and how easy it was to approach him. He was well dressed and always had a smile on his face (which was always a plus with those candid photos!).

If we ever have another event - no offense Dakota - Dave would definitely be our man! :)

DJ Sota made our night so fun. He had everyone out on the dance floor and I am still getting remarks on how good of a DJ he was and how fun the night was because there was good music playing. The lighting setup that he did was so worth it and made the perfect atmosphere.

DJ Sota was our DJ for our wedding on 4/26/14. When we first got engaged, I had no idea where to even start looking for a good DJ, when I started researching, there quite a bit of shady DJ's out there that were trying to rip us off and charge us way to much for what they were offering, and most of them just seemed stuck up, and weren't really helpful. When I found DJ Sota on Yelp, I saw amazing reviews on him and his company DJ Sota Entertainment. Ever since the day I contacted him, he has been helpful every step of the way, and he was very prompt and quick about responding by email, text, or phone call, and answered any questions we had. He made us feel super comfortable and was up front and honest with us,we were even on a first name basis, and he wasn't pushy at all.

We met up 2 weeks prior to our wedding to finalize everything, and we had some last minute changes, and he was able to work around it. He even was able to have one of his friends to come help translate at our wedding to accommodate and make my Argentinean family comfortable during the reception.We definitely recommend him for any event you may need a DJ for. DJ Sota's company was great to work with. I got married last October and am slow to getting around to this review, as I'm not typically a big reviewer...at all. However, I felt compelled to get the word out about our experience with DJ Sota and DJ Dave. We emailed a lot of different DJ companies and a lot of their prices were ridic for what we would get. I emailed DJ Sota for a quote and his pricing was VERY reasonable! Before making my vendor decision, I scheduled a Skype meeting with Dakota (DJ Sota) and DJ Dave, since Dave would be our DJ while Dakota was already booked. I wanted to get a good feel for their vibe and how much they love music and have knowledge about what we wanted, which was a lot of various decade chill music for dinner and all 90's hip hop and other party music during reception. I had some no no's too (no Bieber/Miley/Selena Gomez tween ish), and they totally got our style do's and dont's. Dakota was also prompt on email responses and totally even helped us plan not only the music for big moments (i.e. Aisle walk, wedding party entry, first dance) but also the day's schedule with his predetermined questionnaire and planner. This was so helpful.

We hired Dave and it was a great decision. Everyone was packed on the floor dancing most of the night and he was super professional and kind. We really appreciated his hard work in not only DJing, but also hooking up the ceremony speakers and uplights and making the lighting look awesome. Yes....the prices were so reasonable that we opted for uplights from them too. I would recommend this company for sure...cool, professional guys!

I could not recommend DJ Sota enough! Dakota is great to work with and extremely helpful and made the whole process of finding a DJ for our wedding a breeze! Dakota already had another event scheduled for our wedding day as we contacted him late, but he had DJ Vaughn work our wedding, and Vaughn was the best DJ I have ever seen. He is very professional while making it a great party! I cannot even count the number of compliments that we received from our guests about Vaughn, they all had an amazing time! I promise you will not go wrong with either Dakota or Vaughn!

My husband did most of the work on the music portion of our wedding but I can say DJ Sota and DJ Vaughn did an absolutely amazing job for my wedding last night in San Diego.

DJ Sota was extremely communicative via email and answered any and all questions we had. He helped us create a great timeline for the day and made helpful suggestions for music choices when we were lost. Even on the morning of my wedding I was able to email him to extend my processional song and sure enough he came through!

DJ Vaughn was our actual DJ for the night and if I could give him 10 stars, I would. He was FANTASTIC! He never left his area and he played the best dance songs. He MC'd exactly how we would want, made the night run smooth and helped throw one hell of a dance party. From the minute dinner ended until the time the lights went on and the wedding was over people were on the floor dancing. His music choices were great and my only complaint is the night had to end

Fantastic! As many couples are, my fiancé and I were complete novices at planning a wedding. DJ Sota was the third DJ we sat down with during the wedding planning process. The first two seemed fine, but we had agreed to interview at least three. Well, within minutes of meeting DJ Sota, we both knew he was the one. He is professional and obviously knowledgeable, but it is the “more” that he brings to the table – his friendly personality, his experience on how weddings should work, his enthusiasm (he started sketching out our venue layout that first meeting and offered to go see the place so we could figure out sound and light!), and on and on. We sent him our draft itinerary for the big day and he took the time to go over it and make suggestions on how the wedding might flow better (and he was absolutely right!). We probably weren’t the easiest crowd – with our mix of traditional guests wanting Spanish music and younger guests wanting Top 40 – but he managed to make it all come together so seamlessly. Our guests had a great time – old and young! Thank you DJ Sota!!

Wedding was on March 7, 2014.

I’ve only been to a few weddings in my life and most of the wedding DJ’s I’ve seen are ok, but not great. They do a decent job and for most people I guess that works. This was different though because this was OUR wedding. My job was to find a DJ who can read a crowd and keep everyone engaged when they needed to and at other times, sit back and let the music do the talking. I stumbled upon Dakota on Wedding Wire and instantly I noticed NOTHING but 5 star reviews. I started watching the videos, looked at the pictures, and read the reviews and saw nothing but praise. I emailed Dakota about information and was instantly pleased by the prompt response. Dakota provided all the information I asked for and then some. My (now) wife and I met up with Dakota was pleased by his professionalism mixed in with excitement with the soon to be married couple . What made us feel even better was that he had just done a reception at the venue we were to be married at, so he knew the location and talked about setups he’s done in the past. We instantly booked him because we knew he was the one for us.

Leading up to the wedding Dakota was in constant communication with us sending us more information than we could handle and it was great. Once our itinerary was complete, Dakota was more than willing to look it over and gave great suggestions to have the wedding flow more smoothly. The day of, naturally, is one of nervousness but we give nothing but PRAISE for Dakota. The wedding was PERFECT. He played all the right songs at the right times and got the party going when it needed to. NO ISSUES AT ALL! I would hands down always recommend Dakota and his services and he is well deserving of this 5 star rating!!!! THANK YOU DAKOTA!

Josiah from DJ Sota Entertainment is a phenomenal DJ! He was the DJ for my wedding, and he did an outstanding job!! He was super flexible and very easy to talk to about what we wanted. Everything ran perfectly from start to finish, and he definitely knows how to get the crowd dancing! We had a wonderful time, and we still get compliments about our DJ 6 months later. Josiah is by far THE BEST DJ out there!! He did our wedding and everything went perfectly! He is delightfully confident with a fun personality, extremely professional and prepared, easy to work with, and knows how to get a crowd out on the dance floor!

My family and extended family are not really into dancing at all, but with the amazing song choices and just everything that Josiah brings to the table--EVERYONE WAS DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY! :) That's what I call a GREAT wedding with an AWESOME DJ!

DJ Dave was excellent. We asked for a wide variety of songs to be played that were suitable for youngsters to older people and that he exactly what he played. He kept the wedding going and kept right on the time schedule. The music was the right level of loudness.
I did not deal directly with the event production or rentals but everything went off as planned.

We hired DJ Sota Entertainment for our October 12, 2013 wedding. DJ Sota helped us select our music leading up to the event and DJ Dave was there for the event itself.
DJ Sota Entertainment was a huge help in selecting the music for our wedding. We were a bit lost on what we should choose, and they had a great tool on their website that shows you the top music choices for each event (ceremony, entrance song, first dance, etc.) which helped guide us in the right direction. The week before our wedding we spoke with DJ Sota to finalize the schedule as well as all of our music choices and he had some great suggestions. He provided very professional, organized and knowledgeable service.
The day of the wedding went perfectly! DJ Dave kept all of the events flowing and once the dancing began people were on the dance floor all night!
We would highly recommend DJ Sota entertainment!

How we chose Sota?:
Well DJ is a big part of the wedding,he actually be at your wedding.You don't want creepy guy,do you?I googled him,haha,saw his pics,ok,he is clean + good looking guy...(Sorry,that's important,right??!!!)Talked him on the phone,polite and cool.
And also - after I booked him,I saw his name on the "vendor list" on the featured wedding on one of my favorite wedding blog.The wedding was very well done and pretty.The person who planned this wedding chose HIM...so this DJ must be good one!That seriously made me feel good!!!

How was it on the day?:
I gave him the list of songs to play & not to play,so I understand he knows somewhat we want him to play,but you want more than that,right?Somehow he knew EXACTLY want we like,even those songs I didn't request were our taste.One of my friend came up to me at our wedding and told me this music is so you!!.
Our wedding was small(75 ppl) and not everyone is young,there was a time there are only few on the dance floor,but he kept energy high(in good way).
He was very polite and fun.

If he makes a CD of all the songs he played at our wedding,I would totally pay extra and buy it.I liked it that much!
Oh and my hubby...his one of "few" requests for our wedding day was "No loud DJ,good music" and he was very happy,he still talks our DJ was the best!

So when I say that we knew exactly what we wanted/didn't want in a DJ, that may be an understatement! My husband and I had each been to 27 weddings before our own (it became such a story we finally had to count) and had seen and heard of many DJ horror stories. Through all of our experiences, as well as those of our family and friends, I had decided that it was necessary to be a musical control freak when it came to our own wedding. Although I knew exactly the genres and type of artists/songs we wanted, I don't know all of their names/titles and he knew what I was going for as soon as we started our discussions.

While DJ Sota was super understanding and accommodating to my countless requests, it ended up being completely unnecessary! He was so tuned in and really understood what we were looking for, and more importantly to us, what we didn't want. Before dinner had even hit the table, we were receiving countless compliments on the songs and style of musical choices that we went up to Dakota before we even ate dinner to thank him. After the wedding, the compliments have continuously poured in for DJ Sota!

Another small note: One of my best friends and bridesmaid got married the year before and had the worst DJ experience I have ever seen. They didn't even have their first dance to the song they chose, which she has spoken about ever since. When I suggested playing that song for them, Dakota suggested playing it as a transitional slow song and making an announcement congratulating them on their one year anniversary. We ended up doing it after the cake cutting and were able to dance next to them while they finally had their "first dance". They were so excited and appreciative and it was one of the best parts of the day for us.

I could go on, but I unequivocally recommend DJ Sota's services and am so happy with our choice to use him!

I worked with Dakota on planning, and my wedding day DJ was DJ Diego. Planning was so easy, Dakota helped us planning every detail and had so many ideas. DJ Sota was extremely organized, professional, punctual, and knew how to get the guests dancing at our wedding. He was not corny with his presentation or songs (which I greatly appreciated) and he made sure everything stayed right on schedule. I was always able to talk to him about what I wanted or ask any questions I needed, either in person, over the phone, or email, and he got back to me with awesome recommendations right away! Most important, he made a stressed out bride, such as myself, feel much more relaxed about songs and how the night would go. Everyone had a great night and he did an AMAZING job! It took me forever to write this review but, I really need to say how incredible this company really is! We hired DJ Sota Entertainment for our wedding at The London in West Hollywood on New Years Day. Most other companies were unwilling to work with us on the date or if they were they were marking up their fees dramatically. We met DJ Sota at a wedding expo in Newport Beach and were immediately impressed by his presentation, his understanding of what we were looking for and his professionalism. He understood the style of music and decorum we were looking for. Our family and friends are still talking about how beautiful the entire day was. Thank you so much, DJ Sota Entertainment!! We will recommend you again and again!! A PLUS! I will be using DJ Sota for my anniversary party as well as any other events I have, too!

Dakota was the DJ for our wedding. We found him via "The Knot" as a suggested DJ in the OC area. He was fantastic! From the beginning, he took care of us, he is very organized, responsive and easy to work with. My husband and I, have deep latin roots and we were looking for a DJ that could mix both Latin music with the American Top 40 songs. This wasn't an easy feat, Dakota helped us all the way, he provided guidance and suggestions when in doubt but also respected our wishes. We wanted to have a different timeline than the traditional american wedding, and just have one big section at the end for dancing and partying, and he was phenomenal.

Can't thank him enough, he helped make our wedding a success.

We hired DJ Sota for our wedding and could not have been happier with the service and the experience. From the very beginning, Dakota showed how great he was to work with. We had contacted several DJ companies around the same time and Dakota was the first to get back to me within hours of my inquiry. Dakota had come highly recommended and throughout the whole process, he lived up to it.

Given our busy schedule, we held all of our planning discussions over the phone. Despite not meeting in person, Dakota made us completely comfortable in planning the music for the ceremony and reception. He was very helpful, provided his expert advice, and got back to us right away if we had any questions. He wasn’t shy with asking questions or giving his opinion on songs, timing, etc. which was greatly appreciated as we aren’t the biggest music people.

Dakota’s online planning tools made the process seamless. You can access it any time and make changes. It was great to be able to give this to my husband and have him complete it, giving me more time to handle other wedding tasks.

Our final planning call with Dakota was very helpful and he was extremely flexible with us making revisions to the plan at any point (my parents kept changing their minds about a projector). The wedding music was fantastic and he kept the dance floor packed all night (as the wedding pictures attest)! Dakota was also a wonderful MC and worked closely with our day-of coordinator to keep everything on track.

If you’re looking for a DJ company that is professional and fun, this is the one for you.

Like many other brides, DJ Sota was the first time I had hired a DJ and like all the previous reviews here say, he did not disappoint!

Dakota was the one that did my wedding ceremony and reception. He was patient and helped with every step of the planning process regarding the timeline and had some great suggestions as well and also accommodated our song requests. The dance floor stayed busy during the whole night with the exception of photos with guests, but even then as I was posing for pictures, I looked over the audience and saw that they were just itching to get back on the dance floor.

And like the yelper before me said, what you're paying for is quality. I just knew how stressful this important day would be and how it could have gone wrong with a cheap DJ who had little to no experience and lack of insurance. I am thankful and love my hubby for letting me hire DJ Sota!

p.s. Our guests say that they have never had so much fun at a wedding before until they came to ours! Even our elderly, handicapped guest who arrived with a walking cane got up to dance!

Hands down best experience ever. Dakota just did the music for my fashion show a few days ago and I need to say, I never thought I'd get this kind of experience from anyone. I've never thrown an event this large before so needless to say, I was not completely prepared to think of everything. Throughout the process, Dakota was great about collaborating music ideas and flow events, speakers, fashion show line up segments, etc. The night of the event the DJ Sota crew set up quickly and professionally. Everything went smoothly and without guidance. He ran the fashion show lighting and music as if he was the host putting it on. After the event everyone was in awe of how well it was put on, how well the lighting choices were and how great the music line up was. I'll always remember this as my first fashion show event, and thanks to Dakota and DJ Sota Entertainment, it will be a fond memory! If you want a memorable event with no fuss, I suggest calling DJ Sota Entertainment.

Fantastic!! Dakota kept the reception flowing smoothly I didn't have to worry about anything!! I would highly recommend Dakota for any DJ needs. DJ Sota was our DJ for our June wedding and he was awesome. Great communication and quick response to all our questions. Since we were hiring him from out of town he offered to Skype with us which was great. He was so open to allowing us to give him a selection of Persian music. Great music all night long. He kept the dance floor full all night and really gauged the crowed. We had a lot of compliments from out guest. Very professional from beginning to end. Highly recommend!

Dakota was amazing! He was extremely helpful with the planning process. My husband and I had an idea of what kind of music we wanted but didn't have the time to put together a list of artists and songs that we wanted to play. Dakota was super helpful with suggestions and the music turned out wonderful. Our guests commented on the great dancing music as well.

We were very much against the typical "wedding" music and dances and Dakota never played a song we didn't like. He listened and paid attention to all of our requests in terms of what not to say.

We didn't have a wedding coordinator so Dakota was also in charge of making sure all of our speeches, dances, cake cutting, etc. were on time. we felt extremely confident that the party would run smoothly knowing that he was in charge. I now know what people say that you absolutely don't want to worry about anything on your wedding day, and Dakota took all of our worries away! He was professional and made the party look awesome as well with his lighting options.

Two of our friends (who didn't even know each other) recommended Dakota to me so we didn't even consider anyone else. We would highly recommend him!

DJ Sota Ent. was exactly what we needed. We had talked to a number of DJs before talking with DJ Sota and didn't get the right vibe with any of them. Dakota was quick to respond to all of our communications. Dave DJed our wedding and did an excellent job. The setup of the lighting and gobo light was perfect. Not only did they handle our music and lighting, but Dakota helped walk us through the timeline of when everything would happen. This saved our wedding because we didn't use a coordinator and were a little scrambled within the 2 weeks prior. They were very flexible with their schedule and with what we wanted during the wedding. Much thanks to DJ Sota Ent!

I can not say enough good things about this company. My original DJ pulled out fairly last minute, and I had too much going on to spend a lot of time finding a new one. I found DJ Sota Entertainment on the internet. They responded immediately, set up a prompt meeting, an gave us a more than fair quote. It was like a gift from heaven for a stressed out bride.
DJ Dave was our wedding DJ, and he was fantastic. I was the least prepared bride in the history of ever, but he put together a marvelous set with only a single phone meeting three days before the wedding (my fault). My wedding day was so busy I didn't have time to speak with him at all before, but the whole ceremony went perfectly. He tried his best to keep us on schedule during the reception (an impossible task with our family) and when things fell behind he improvised perfectly, saving me tons of stress. He kept the dance floor going all night, an impressive feat considering the very wide range of musical tastes. I could not have asked for a better DJ.
Save yourself time, money, and stress. One meeting with these guys and you'll know you're in god hands.
