Amazing to work with!!!!

I was looking for a DJ for my husbands 60th birthday. It was a last minute booking, and I didn't have a lot of hope that I would find somebody for the job. Well, I was wrong..........I found DJ Smiley!!!!!! He was very prompt at responding back to me, and made things very easy for the event. He did a great job explaning everything to me, and even gave me suggestions for music. He helped make my husbands birthday a blast!!!!! I would highly recommend him for any event!!!!

Fabulous DJ and wonderful to work with!

DJ Smiley was absolutely fabulous! He helped the wedding ceremony and reception flow seamlessly. His transition into songs was on point! Couldn't be happier!

I hired DJ Smiley for my daughter's wedding in PCB and I couldn't be happier with my choice. He was wonderful to work with on all counts and I found him to be very accommodating and attentive to our needs. His enthusiasm was refreshing and it reflected throughout the evening's events. He puts on a heck of a show and I am so glad that we found him. Thank you Smiley for your role in making our day a special one!

Best out there

I would hire DJ Smiley at any event. He communicate all the way through till wedding. He kept us out on the floor dancing all night. He even had couple second tutorial for certain dances. Would recommend.

We love and highly recommend DJ Smiley!

DJ Smiley iDJ'd our wedding, and it was awesome for our many generations of guests. From our first conversation we knew that he was going to be fun and make this our special evening; he was helpful, supportive, and flexible! We also appreciated his sincere wish to work with our unique wedding circumstances. He honored our song choices while still throwing in some of his own and accepting requests from the younger crowd. We danced all night long! We would highly recommend him for any event!

DJ Smiley has great prices and provides a wonderful service. His schedule that he personalized for my wedding was a lifesaver. I didn't even think of some of the things he added. Without his input, my day would not be coming together so well.

Incredible man. Forever grateful!

Professional, punctual, always smiling, kind, passionate, unique, helpful, and humble

We decided last minute that we needed entertainment/ music on our wedding day and contacted Jay DAYS before our wedding. This man didn't even flinch when we told him we needed him so last minute, luckily we were getting married on a Wednesday and he was free. He had all of the paperwork sent over and my evening planned within days. My wedding wouldn't have been half as fun without him. We had the best night of our lives. The music was PERFECT and fit everyone who attended. He even got my mother and father in law to dance together for the first time in their 43 years together. We're now trying to figure out how to throw a party in Florida (12 hours away) every year so we can see him often!

A Good Party!

DJ Smiley recently was the DJ at my wedding. He was awesome. Due to COVID we had to re-schedule the whole wedding and we were lucky enough that he was available for the date we postponed to. He stayed in contact with me up until the wedding and made sure he knew every detail. He made the reception so much fun. I would definitely use him again for other events and recommend him to anyone who needs a good DJ for a party! :)

No reason to hesitate - this is the DJ you want

Jay was a fantastic DJ which I highly recommend. Very easy to work with and a top-notch communicator as you prepare for the event. Once he arrived, I hardly even knew he was there until the event started. He asked a couple of basic questions, then went to work setting up. He was extremely gracious and professional during the ceremony, and the music was perfect. Don't hesitate to book Jay for your event - you will not be sorry.

Dj smiley is the man to go with

DJ Smiley has been awesome!!!! if you are looking for a caring dj about every little detail about your wedding/event hire this guy.. he is very thorough and pleasant to work with. He is really outgoing, has an AMAZING DJ VOICE, and is super professional and really makes the life of the party. He has been quick to respond about everything before the big day, and even works with us when we have last minute change requests! he is very nice and treated us like family since day one.. you won't have to worry one bit about your event with this guy, he's gonna take care of you. Especially when you have so many other things going on and vendors to worry about, he makes it super easy.

Best DJ (Uncle) Ever!

DJ (uncle) Smiley knew how to keep the party going! I could text or email him at any time day or night and he would promptly respond! I enjoyed working with him and he made it very easy to plan reception music! He was able to accommodate to the flow of the reception since nothing went in the order we thought it was going to! I was so sad when the reception ended, my husband and I were having a blast along with our guest! I would recommend DJ Smiley in a heart beat!!

Don’t question it, just book him!!!

Jay was GREAT! Before the big day, he was always so quick to respond. The day off our wedding, he was there early to set up. These two things alone would make me recommend him to any bride, but jay went above and beyond in all things. He was such a great time and made sure the party was great time.

The best day of my life!

I was so very happy with DJ Smiley! He truly caught on very quickly to our wants and personalities. He worked with us all along the way to come up with a run down of how the night would flow and honestly idk what I would have done without him during the reception. He totally kept the night flowing! He made planning the reception so easy. He led the crowd and if I wanted to change some things during the reception, I just asked and he was easy to accommodate. It was the best night of my life and so much fun!

Jay is so kind and responds to every email right away! A breath of fresh air in the wedding vendor industry IMO. His packages are very reasonably priced and is willing to make a package work for what you need. I would highly recommend using him :)

Excellent experience! Smiley is the best!

I have worked with countless DJs doing events over the past 20 years and Smiley is the best by far! He has excellent equipment, he arrives on time, he is professional, he is able to read a crowd and make good song selection and he is flexible and able to make changes on the fly when needed. If you have an event coming up, Smiley is the best DJ in the Florida Panhandle to MC and DJ your event. Thank you Smiley for making our Christmas Party the best in Bay for 2019!

Professional, prompt, and priced well.

I had my wedding back in 2006. We met and discussed a potential playlist. He gave me so much more. He had the entire 120 guests up on the dance floor, from my 85 year old grandparents to my 3 year old nieces. My husband’s family came up from Puerto Rico and he also did an amazing job incorporating so many genres of music that everyone was moving. He really understood how to read the crowd and how to get everyone involved in the party. What he did with his music and hosting talent gave both me and my guests the best memories that even today, 13+ years later, people always talk about that amazing day! Thanks so much for making our wedding day the best!

I used DJ Smiley for my wedding and I can not say enough great things about him! He did such a great job at keeping everyone on the dance floor and played a wide variety of music!!!! I do not have one negative thing to say about him. He was a big reason our wedding day was so special!!

DJ Smiley allowed us to create our own playlist. We were a huge fan of 80s music and he knew all of our picks. He was able to utilize our playlist and intermingled it with a mixture of songs that he personally selected for our guests, such as the kids. He was on queue with our wedding coordinator to MC on schedule for specific announcements. DJ Smiley made the process simple and painless. It was a pleasure working with him and we highly recommend him for your special day.

DJ Smiley was great to work with. After our first two DJs fell through, DJ Smiley was a breath of fresh air with his professionalism and responsiveness. He is well-versed in his craft and has a very presentable, family-man personality. We spent a lot of time going over our music list because we had a short reception and wanted specific music played. During the reception, we did notice a few songs playing that were not on the approved playlist. If each and every song is as important to you as it was to us, then be sure to clarify that during the planning process. Outside of this critique, DJ Smiley is a seasoned professional who definitely knows how to emcee a wedding.

DJ Smiley was excellent. He went above and beyond his role as a DJ. He even met with me on his own time to help splice our wedding song. He catered the music to our diverse crowd. Worth every penny! His prices are very reasonable and his services definitely exceed the price. We had the BEST experience with DJ Smiley! All of our wedding guests loved him. Since booking him for our wedding on 10-18-2014, he stayed in touch with me constantly, gave me updates, and offered a variety of different songs and suggestions (which was extremely helpful if you want to choose your own music). He followed our "do not play list" religiously. (No YMCA for us!) I really appreciated this. Everything flowed perfectly from start to finish. He has such a fun and energetic personality and was very approachable. I couldn't have picked a better DJ! Thank you so much for getting our guests on the dance floor and for keeping our wedding both classy and lively at the same time! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Jay was awesome with the kids! Got them all up dancing and very entertaining, just what I asked for! This was a party for our students, congratulating them on their excellent behavior for the first nine weeks of school! He also did my daughter's wedding in September, this is why I called him back again, I was very pleased with him then!! He is great! Showed up on time and was ready to go! And I loved that he kept in touch before the event too!

I would highly highly recommend DJ Smiley for any event!! I had him as my wedding DJ and on behalf of my family and friends... we could not have been more pleased! He succeeded in every aspect of my wedding. He was very personable, professional, and accommodating. He provided karaoke which was a huge hit. He was also a terrific MC and planned our reception outline for us according to my vision and amplified my vision. He definitely surpassed all of mine and my families expectations.

I could not have asked for a Better DJ. DJ Smiley did an awesome job and kept things rolling at the wedding reception. We did have another Dj hired for the night and they canceled on us at the last minute. so I called DJ Smiley and he came in on a minutes notice I will never hire anyone else ever again.

I was absolutely more than impressed with Smiley Jay from start to finish.. When I was in the process of looking for a DJ I knew that Jay had a lot of experience in Panama City and great reputation. To me, the DJ was a really important factor in my wedding day because our family and friends know how to party. Obviously the price played a huge role into who I chose because I was a bride on a budget and I have to say that Jay was very reasonable and worth every penny. He ended up setting up and playing acoustic for my ceremony as well and that was such a nice touch. Jay is one of those people that will go above and beyond to make your day perfect. He asked if he could come to our rehearsal so he could familiarize himself with the timeline and with my wedding party... Such a nice touch and something I have never heard of a DJ doing. The reception itself was such a great party and the music was the perfect combination of old and new to please all of our guests! I would recommend Jay to anyone looking for a professional, fun and reputable DJ!!!

Originally we were going to DJ our own wedding using an ipod, but when we found some extra money in the budget we decided to hire Jay. I am SO GLAD we made this choice, as I know the evening would not have gone as well without him! We have pretty eclectic music tastes, and had some very specific songs that we wanted played during our cocktail hour and reception. Although he initially expressed surprise at some of our choices, Jay was great and provided exactly what we wanted. He also had great suggestions about how to structure the event. On the day of the wedding he was prepared and kept the event flowing perfectly all night. He was able to read the crowd and play both the songs that we originally requested, songs that guests were asking for, and his own choices which were perfect for the varied ages of our guests. He was a great emcee, and he was even able to find a special (and rare) song requested at the last minute by my sister for a special surprise "performance" she arranged for me. At the end of the event he even agreed to stay a little longer and play two extra songs for us which we--and our guests--loved. Since we had a destination wedding we never met Jay until a few days before our wedding, and I will admit to being extremely nervous about this. However, after our first meeting I felt reassured and on the day of the wedding he surpassed all of my expectations.

Jay DJ'd our wedding in Dec 1994. Everyone had a blast! He had and still has the knowledge, flexibility, and talent to make any party a hit. I've seen him working 4 gigs in the past 2 years and he rocks. After our wedding we received positive feedback for the next three years and sent him several referrals. I would unequivocally recommend him for any occasion.

Can you believe I have known Smiley Jay for over 18 years, since his days as an awesome radio personality! Of course we did not hesitate to have Smiley DJ our wedding reception in 1999. He was very professional and incorporated all of our favorite songs (booty songs) ... the guest had a great time. & even the kids got in on all the fun & action and danced the night away! Smiley truly added to the success of our special day and would highly recommend him for any future event. I also want to add he also did the music for our Mosley HS , 1988 10 year class reunion slide show and everyone loved it. Smiley is a wonderful person and Rocks!! Thank you Smiley J, Pickle & Andy :)

Smiley Jay was our wedding DJ in 1994! For years after we heard from guests how much fun our reception was! In the years since, we have been to many venues where Jay was the DJ, and he always does an excellent job. Nearly 20 years later, I wouldn't hesitate to book him again!

Smiley Jay was a terrific DJ, to say the least! He was very reasonably priced and extremely experienced, which enabled him to provide lots of great suggestions! He was extremely flexible and easy to work with, and certainly made the wedding reception a blast. I highly recommend him!

We have known Jay since his DJ days at a radio station so knew his great personality would be perfect for my daughter's wedding! He and his crew were able to incorporate all the music that the bride and groom requested, as well as wedding favorites and kept the guests dancing until the very end. Definitely added to the success of a very enjoyable evening for all!

Smiley is an awesome DJ and plays the best variety of music. There was much energy and excitement and he interacts with the guests to ensure everyone is having a great time. I always recommend him when someone needs a DJ. He's the best.

DJ Smiley Jay made our wedding SO fun! From the moment we met Jay we both felt comfortable & excited that he would be our DJ. He was professional at both of our meetings and got back to us quickly throughout the entire planning process of the wedding. Jay got our guests out of their seats for the whole night and really made our wedding a blast! Jay was great! He was very flexible, understanding and followed all of my requests. He not only was the DJ for the evening, but served as the MC as well. He kept the party going all night. Unlike other DJs, Jay followed my taste in music and kept it clean and fun. I would definitely use him again. He did an amazing job!

Smiley Jay was the DJ for my wedding twenty years ago and did such a wonderful job, was the perfect Emcee of the entire event and kept the party rolling from the very beginning of introducing our wedding party. He helped me pick the music because he got to know me and knew the music my husband and I liked. The entire reception was a hit because of Smiley Jay. It was like having our own reception coordinator with Smiley Jay! Since then I have hired him time and time again for birthday parties, school dances, receptions and other miscellaneous forms of entertainment. He is the best, thanks Smiley Jay!!!!

Jay is dependable, energetic and fun. He met with us for a long time weeks before the event and was very organized. He seemed just as excited as us even though he has probably done hundreds of weddings! I was glad this was a part of the ceremony I would not need to worry about. The music, announcements, games, etc. were great. I could relax and enjoy the party because I knew I was in good hands. I'd recommend Jay for any event, big or small.

DJ smiley was great! Every time we had a question or needed to change something he responded right away and had great ideas on things we had questions over. Over all at the wedding we got the most compliments on how amazing our DJ was. HIGHLY recommend him!!

Jay was professional from the planning appointment all the way through to the end of our reception. The DJ has such an influence on the atmosphere of the party and we were very pleased that he was both classy and fun. Our wedding was at Rosemary Beach and everything was stellar. Jay was awesome as the DJ for my daughter's wedding. We had so much fun and he did everything that was asked of him and then some. His ability to fill in and make things flow smoothly is amazing. Jay, took this job two days before the event and pulled it all together for us after our previously booked DJ bailed. We were so grateful for his knowledge of arranging song list and of wedding receptions. With such short notice, he took over the introductions of the wedding party without missing a beat. We would highly recommend him for your event.

DJ Smiley was the DJ for my daughters wedding November 1. He kept the party going throughout the evening, was energetic and engaging and the dance floor was always packed! We had so many compliments from guests on what a fun wedding it was!

i've known Smiley J since 1995 and it was a joy to have him DJ our wedding!
He keeps everyone smiling and the party going. He is personable and well smiley :) Being a photographer myself if I lived in the same area still he would be the first person I suggest to my clients!
