Kept Dancing
Working with DJ Sheldon Hanson was an absolute delight from the start! He really wanted to make sure that the day, and the vibe, was everything we wanted it to be. We gave Sheldon really loose guidelines with the overall theme being "party that everyone will remember", and left the rest to him, and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We, and our guests, were on the dance floor all night long! We highly recommend DJ Sheldon Hanson if you want to party hard :) -

Amazing Time
I want to thank DJ Sheldon Hanson for such an amazing experience. We had a truly perfect night thanks to you. People kept coming up to tell us that they couldn't believe how great the music was. Sheldon was incredibly attentive and really seemed to know just what to play next. The mics were perfect during the ceremony. Everyone of all ages felt incredibly included in the dancing, and our dance floor was truly packed from start to finish. There isn't one thing I would change - it really was perfect. Thank you so much Sheldon for making our big day so seamless, fun, and danceable! We are forever grateful. -

Best Day Ever
We worked with DJ Sheldon for all of the preplanning until the day of. Sheldon was exceptionally informative and responsive to our many questions and we got all of the details set up before the day even started so there was nothing to worry about. DJ Sheldon who was absolutely incredible! He played all the music that we had sent to him beforehand and he set the mood perfectly. He was also extremely flexible to changes during the reception. We received many compliments about the DJ Sheldon and the music he played. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for DJ services, he will do a great job. -

Sheldon is an amazing dj. He was very flexible with timing and his prices are reasonable. We had so much fun at our wedding with his help, and everyone was dancing all night with Sheldon’s mix of music. Thanks again for being awesome. I’d recommend Sheldon to anyone ! -

Wonderful time
When we were talking to other DJs, they all were very pushy and made us uneasy. However, when we talked to DJ Sheldon we could tell immediately that he would work with us to make sure our wedding was amazing. We booked early and made sure that Sheldon would be the DJ for our event because he made us so comfortable. Before the wedding we got a thorough form to fill out that covered the song choices for all of our events, as well as our music preferences for the rest of the reception, which was really helpful. Sheldon kept bodies on the dance floor all night; whenever the energy started to get low, he would put on a song to get everybody back out there. That was a huge reason that everyone had such a fun time, and we would recommend DJ Sheldon Hanson for any event! -

My now husband and I had DJ Sheldon as our DJ and photo booth rental for our wedding and could not have been happier. His communication was excellent and he was able to address all of our needs and concerns. He played the music we requested and really kept the party going throughout the night. He is extremely professional, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ and photobooth. I truly enjoyed working with him. Thank you, DJ Sheldon, for helping to make our day so special and perfect. -

Let me just start by saying that I would highly recommend DJ Sheldon Hanson for any event! Sheldon was very professional and incredibly easy to work with. He gave some great advice in creating a timeline and other logistics, it was very clear he has a lot of experience with weddings. During the wedding, Sheldon was flexible and calm. He was able to handle and adapt to our day of changes with such ease. During the reception, he knew exactly what the crowd wanted to hear and kept everyone out on the dance floor the entire night. As the bride, I could not be more thankful for Sheldon - he gave me a sense of comfort and solidified my confidence in choosing him as our DJ. Our day was made enormously better because of him. -

DJ Sheldon made our wedding absolutely amazing. It was such a pleasure working with him. He was responsive to our emails and ensured everything we had noted or mentioned was delivered on our wedding day. We had sent him a detailed list of dance songs we wanted to be played and he was able to accommodate a majority of the songs and added some that our crowd liked that we had missed. Without DJ Sheldon, I don't think our night would have been so much fun.
We highly recommend DJ Sheldon Hanson! Thank you for making our night so amazing.

Sheldon was extremely professional and responsive throughout the wedding process. He was open to our ideas and suggestions, and filled in gaps when we weren't sure what was best. He also steadfastly honored our "do not play" list, despite some mischievous friends trying to get him to deviate :). He kept the dance floor going all night - there were no lulls in the party! His photobooth team was also very friendly and professional, and kept the line moving! We highly recommend! -

My wife and I had a great experience recently on May 6th 2016. I had a hard time finding someone who would fit right in. We met the first time and I trusted Dj Sheldon with our dj needs. I feel we connected, this is much more than music and a long playlist. We also booked photobooth services with him and our invitees went crazy I mean, it was like candy for kids. Sheldon made us feel comfortable and not only that. He was a great professional. He gaves us a great package and a crazy price. Trust me when I say we made the right decision. We met twice before the party. The guy is dedicated and values relationships.Sheldon also allowed us to have input in the music selection and he blended with the people. My wedding time passed by quickly but I will always remember how our DJ treated us and how professional he was. I will recommend him to anyone. Thanks Sheldon. -

Sheldon was the perfect DJ for our special day, from initial contact to the end of the party. We couldn't have asked for a better person to make our day special. He worked with us before the wedding to make sure our entire reception was mapped out, he showed up on time and got everything ready to rock, and everything went off without issue. But the real magic happened on the dance floor. Sheldon created the perfect mix that had the dance floor bumping, which we were worried no DJ could accomplish! His knowledge of music is amazing and he seemed to always have the perfect song for the perfect moment. We feel so lucky and honored that Sheldon DJ our wedding. -

DJ Sheldon was recommended to us by our venue, and we could not have been any happier. I am still getting comments about how great the music was, he knew just what to play to keep everybody up and dancing and having a great time! Having been to numerous wedding shows, and talked with a number of DJ's something about DJ Sheldon just clicked with my husband and I. He was able to find just the right balance between the classic and new. We loved that he communicated clearly with us, and even was able to point us towards things we hadn't even thought of! Leading up to the wedding, he was helpful offering suggestions as I was coming up with the playlist and time-line and followed them both exactly the day of. We had DJ Sheldon Hanson at our wedding this August.He amazing to work with. DJ Sheldon was very responsive and really got to know what our tastes were. We LOVED the music he chose and the way he announced everything. He even stayed late when the party was still going. Again I can not say it anymore We loved Sheldon!! DJ Sheldon did an excellent job at my Birthday Party. He played a great mix of music and kept everyone out on the dance floor all night. i had so many compliments from my guests about how much fun they had and once the music started, they never sat back down. DJ Sheldon is the best, he helped all our guests to have a great time; helped them with line/group dances if they didn't know them. Sheldon showed the upmost respect to the brides and checked in with them from time to time to make sure he was meeting their expectations(which he did!)
We give Sheldon the highest recommendation. Sheldon really knew how to keep our guests entertained, my mother in law & father in-law were headed out the door when Sheldon played another great selection; they put down their stuff and headed right back on to the dance floor! Thank you so much for helping make our daughter's wedding a night none of us will forget!.

I don't know why there are so many positive reviews...
DJ Sheldon Hanson was very unprofessional from the beginning of working with him right down to our wedding day. After he took our first payment and we could not get in touch with him for weeks; he did not return emails or phone calls.
When we finally got in touch with him (only a couple weeks before the wedding!) we set up a time to meet, give him our playlist, and review the order of the wedding day (and we gave him the benefit of the doubt for the unanswered emails and phone calls). However a few hours before the meeting he called said he had to reschedule; when the day of our meeting came he was almost an hour late.....
On the day of our wedding he was almost an hour late as well! :( We called his phone multiple times, but with no answer. When he finally showed up we asked why he didn't pick up his phone and he said he never got a call, that the number he had given us was to his office, not his cell phone.
It just gets worse from there.. Because he was so late there was no music playing while most of the guests arrived. The processional music cut out multiple times, and the groomsmen walked out to no music at all. I requested a special song to be played all the way through while we lit unity candles, I specifically requested that the entire song be played completely through. Well, as soon as we had finished lighting the candles (the first verse was just finishing) he faded the music out; I was shocked because that was the one thing I specifically told him was important to me.
I also stressed the fact that I didn't want any uplighting unless it was white or offwhite, I wanted to keep it really classy. During the middle of our meal I look up and see multiple colors of alternating uplighting on the ceiling...
There's really no excuse for how unprofessional DJ Sheldon Hanson was. Everything about my wedding was perfect... except the DJ. I would not recommend him to anybody else. -

DJ Sheldon was great- he was very organized and responsive pre-wedding to our questions and song requests. He did a great job the night of our wedding, played a great selection of songs and managed to fit in our specific songs too- he did a really nice job mixing the newer music with some of the traditional and Irish music we wanted without it feeling disjointed. He was also very responsive during the reception to specific requests we had. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a DJ and his prices were very reasonable! -

My husband and I contacted DJ Sheldon from Ky. We moved here to Massachusetts in 2011. We contacted him and right away he was eager to help us.
We had the greatest reception. He interacted with our guest the whole night. He kept our party going strong . Our guest later told us that our reception was the best one they had ever been too! We owe that all to DJ Sheldon. We absolutely loved him.
My husbands daughter is getting married this may. And she is planning on using DJ Sheldon for her reception also. I'm sure we are in for a great party.

I honestly cannot thank DJ Sheldon Hanson enough for making my wedding the most amazing night of my life. We had to extend the wedding and add extra time because by the end of the night all of my guests were still on the dance floor having the time of their lives. My wedding exceeded my expectations and a large part of that was because we decided to hire DJ Sheldon Hanson. DJ Sheldon Hanson was awesome! My husband and I are so happy we chose his DJ company. One thing that was great was that DJ Sheldon Hanson met with us in person twice to review things and go over details. Other DJ companies were not willing to take the time to meet with us. During both meetings he was patient enough to go over the events and songs we wanted. He and his assistant even gave us wonderful suggestions about colors, seating arrangements, and lighting. On the day of our wedding we saw DJ Sheldon Hanson greeting our guests as they walked into the reception hall. He opened the door for our grandparents and helped them to their table. Seeing that brought tears to my eyes. I mean what DJ does that? When it was time for us to enter into the room DJ Sheldon Hanson gave us a wicked awesome introduction. I mean everyone in the room stood up and cheered us on as my husband and I walked in and did our first dance. Throughout the night he kept us dancing and he even remembered to play a few slow oldies for my grandparents. DJ Sheldon Hanson's professionalism means the world to me and I am so happy my husband and I booked him. You should book him too. He is great!

DJ Sheldon Hanson was a great decision for our wedding! Before the reception he was so organized and got all the information from us that he needed. We told him what genre music we wanted and even must play songs as well as do not play songs for the wedding day. Once we arrived at the reception, he got the entire bridal party organized and made sure that he knew the names of everyone in the bridal party for the introductions. He was such a calm, yet very organized person to deal with the day of the wedding which was key. He did a great job introducing everyone. When it came to the dancing portion of the reception my husband and I were so happy we chose DJ Sheldon Hanson! The first song he played literally got EVERYONE out of there seat, young and old!! He started off with popular music that all generations like and got the energy level up really quickly :) Then, as the night progressed, he made sure to play the few songs we had said were a must! All my friends were really impressed by this! We would recommend him in a heartbeat to any of our friends and feel so lucky to have chosen him! I was leery in the beginning as it was not clear who the actual DJ would be. I thought I was meeting to book DJ Sheldon but it was another DJ from the company, who did not show up to the meeting. DJ Sheldon moved his schedule around to be available for my wedding. DJ Sheldon did a phenomenal job at the wedding. My guests (bride and groom included) had so much fun. The quality of the music was great. Three months later, people are still talking about the wedding. I highly recommend DJ Sheldon. He is laid back, yet professional. -

A little confusion at the beginning about getting the contract signed vs. getting the playlist, and so by the time we signed the contract the fancy lighting options were not available. We ended up borrowing some rotating lights and it was fine. Sheldon showed up early to set up, was prepared for any dress code (we were fairly casual, but he didn't know that so had also brought a suit). He took requests from the dance floor and ran the dance games we wanted. Some liberties were taken with our playlist, my daughter complained that a couple of her songs weren't played, but I think that was just teenage angst. Mostly it was what she had selected plus the from-the-floor requests. -

We sponsored an ALL MALE Fashion Show and DJ Hanson was phenomenal! Our models were inexperienced and desired music that they knew to make them more comfortable. At various times during the show I had to run to him before a model came out and ask him to change the music. AT EVERY TIME he changed on the fly so that there were no breaks in the show and the models felt good. His attitude was always gracious and accommodating to my frenzy. I would recommend this DJ to anyone that wants professionalism and their money's worth of a quality entertainer. -

Great Night
Sheldon did a wonderful job at my wedding on September 21st 2019. My wedding night was perfect. There were a few bumps in the road with communication that had me second guessing everything but he came through for me just in the nick of time. I would recommend Sheldon to my family and friends. My experience with DJ Sheldon Hanson was very confusing and ended in a lot of disappointment. When first communicating with him before the day I was so impressed. He was so prompt and professional and organized. He even drove down to see the venue and discuss how we wanted things to go. He had papers to fill in what type of music we wanted and any special songs to play or not to play. The day of the wedding at 1:30 he called me and said " hi I am on my way but I left the song list at home. Can you text it to me?" Then he showed up a half hour before the wedding started(at 5) we had specific songs picked out for the men's processional, women's and then the communion. ALL of which played at the wrong time or not at all. I ended up walking down the last quarter of the isle to no music. Then we had asked he play country music during the cocktail hour ( we were on a farm) and he played jazz instead. I didn't learn this until after or I would've said something. Then when he was introducing us, he immediately said okay let's do the first dance! No warnings, no time to settle in, very awkward. Then he immediately said okay! Time for the toasts and called my brother in law up. Then when he realized he hadn't told anyone to open their apple cider to toast he interrupted my brother in law in the middle of his speech. Literally talked over him, said we probably need a minute, and then called him back up. So so awkward. I also asked he play country during dinner and he continued to play jazz so I had my mother in law go talk to him. I was honestly really upset but I just tried to ignore it and make the best of the day. i felt like something huge must have happened in his personal life for his whole persona to change so much, but we never received an apology or an explanation. -

Funny thing about DJ Sheldon - he meets with you, he's lovely and charming, he puts on a good show - then he gets your down payment and takes forever to answer your emails and sets appointments to call you then forgets. Once my wedding date rolled around he was a no show! We emailed the Friday before, he replied but never mentioned not being there. As I showed up at our venue, after 3 hours of photos and a first look - the DJ's that were there were not Sheldon. I thought, no big deal - I'm sure he gave them everything they need. WRONG! Our ceremony music was - wrong. Processional music - wrong. My processional music had to be played by our JP's ipod because they didn't have the music I requested. The music I did request was played off schedule and had long awkward pauses. Our first dance song was started in the middle and played for :52. Our speeches were only given because a friend requested them to be - thankfully I was in the room when it happened and didn't miss the speeches given at my wedding. The dance floor was full the entire night - thankfully - however, there was a full hour of Reggae and I specifically asked for NO reggae, no problem - everyone was having fun - but when I asked them to play something else (a song that was on our play list) I was ignored. A guest was charged $20 for requesting a song! I don't know why anyone was requesting songs in the first place. Icing on the cake was the super classy placement of business cards on my buffet table! Those were immediately tossed in the trash. I still haven't heard from DJ Sheldon, even after I expressed my concerns - I should just be impressed he sent anyone at all and didn't take off with my money. Everything went perfect on our day, except our DJ, and I'm thankful for that! Thanks for nothing DJ Sheldon! -
