best vendor ever!!

Hiring DJ Scully (James) was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! We were torn between a DJ and a band, but we are so glad we went with him. From the start, he was incredibly professional—he even scoped out our venue in advance to plan the best setup.

He truly listened to what we wanted and made sure music played a huge role in creating special moments throughout the night. Our guests haven’t stopped raving about him—he’s the vendor we received the most compliments about! The dance floor was packed the entire night, and the energy never dipped. He is so talented at what he does, seamlessly reading the crowd and keeping the party going.

Beyond his skills as a DJ, he was an absolute pleasure to work with—friendly, personable, and full of great recommendations. We were beyond impressed and would recommend him to anyone looking for an incredible DJ!

Outstanding DJ!

James was very professional and listened to all of our requests. He was super flexible and created the best playlist for our wedding. Everyone had an amazing night and danced the night away. Would 100% recommend!

DJ Scully is the best!

Highly recommend our wedding DJ! He truly listened to what we wanted and created the perfect vibe for our wedding. He kept the dance floor packed all night and made sure everyone had an amazing time. The energy was incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!

Best DJ Around!

We really enjoyed working with DJ Scully! My husband and I attended a wedding a few years back that he DJ'd, so when our wedding came around we knew we wanted him at ours too! Booking with him was a breeze, and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome the day of the wedding. Us, and our guests, had such a great time on the dance floor thanks to Scully. We HIGHLY recommend working with him!

Best DJ ever!

I have been to a few weddings where DJ Skully was the DJ for the reception. He is far and away the best DJ in this area. Our wedding party and guests danced all night and had the best time! I would highly recommend DJ Skully for any event where a DJ is needed.

Amazing!!!

DJ scully was amazing! He was everything we wanted for our wedding. All we asked him was to keep the dance floor hopping and he did just that. He was so energetic and picked the best songs. I will recommend him for anything! We got so many compliments on him!!! He rocks!

Amazing! Highly recommend!

DJ Scully was SOOOO much fun!! Everyone was dancing and having a wonderful time. My mom did not stop dancing the entire event…. She literally sweat through her dress! He showed up early, played all of our favorite songs (and tons more), was both fun and professional, and really set the entire mood for the event!!! It was one of the BEST days of my life because everyone was having so much fun and dancing. The event would not have been the same without DJ Scully. We will never go with another DJ ever because he’s that great!!! Thank you DJ SCULLYYYYYY!!!!!

Highly recommend DJ Scully

James was great to work with. He was professional, responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. If you are unsure about what type of music you want he will walk you through suggestions. He sticks to what you discuss during the planning process. We had a wide range of ages for our wedding and he kept the dance floor going all night long. He had us create a Spotify playlist with some of our favorite songs so he could make sure to play them throughout the dinner hour for us to enjoy. That was a nice personalized touch! We would highly recommend James for any event you may have!

Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him!

To say Scully was the best DJ we could have asked for would be an understatement! He was extremely helpful pre wedding. He helped is with the layout of the venue setup as well as out timeline. Our ceremony went smoothly and perfect. He also stuck close to our song requests! All night we had people telling us how amazing he was and how it was one of the best times they've had in a while. Scully even got my grandparents on the dance floor! Thank you Scully for not only being the best DJ, but for being a great friend!

Donofro/Miller Wedding

DJ Scully did an excellent job for us at the Donofro/Miller Wedding at the Goodwood Carriage House. He is very professional and easy to work with! He comes highly recommended by John Gandy with John Gandy events. The music was spot on and the dance floor stayed busy. A wonderful night of great music. I would highly recommend DJ Scully.

The best dj!

Dj Scully is absolutely amazing!!! He works with you one on one to make sure he gets to know you and your fiancé and the kind of music for your personalities. He takes time to talk over the timeline for the evening and worked with us to custom create the intros and first dances - which turned out perfectly! Everyone bragged about how the music was so well balanced and for our crowd no one was ever sitting down. James definitely knew when to get the crowd going and when to MC and speak to everyone. We can’t thank him enough and are so grateful we had him as our dj!!! Thank you James!!!

DJ came highly recommended to us from my cousin’s wedding. We had a blast at that wedding and we knew that we wanted a similar atmosphere at our wedding. He kept people on the dance floor and the background music throughout the night was great. He’s very easy to work with!

Could not have been more pleased with DJ Scully!!! From the get go he was easy to communicate with, presented with tons of experience and professionalism. He provided outdoor sound for our ceremony (which everyone commented on well they could hear), music and lighting at a second location for our cocktail party and after dinner dancing, along with a third location for dinner. Scully offered amazing suggestions for for cocktail/dinner music, and worked in an entire playlist we created. After dinner dancing was a blast, I don't think I left the dance floor, but neither did the rest of the guests. He took all of our requests and made everything ten times better than I could have imagined. We got so many compliments on how great our DJ was, and what a great time everyone had. And clearly compliments to Scully on everything!!!

James (DJ Scully) is incredible. I made the choice to hire him based on his work in Tallahassee before he relocated to Central Florida. When my husband and I chose a venue in Orlando, we knew we would reach out to James and inquire about his availability. He was more than happy to be a part of our big day and was wonderful about talking through our song choices and day of timeline. Our guests danced all night thanks to his epic mixing skills and he was more than accommodating when my mom decided she wanted more throwback and Hispanic jams to burn up the dance floor. I don't think anyone sat for more than 5 minutes to catch their breath. Bottom line, he's worth booking, and I highly recommend him as a premier vendor.

Scully was SO wonderful to work with. I hadn't met him yet because we were in different cities, but he came up and introduced himself before the wedding and made sure everything was what I wanted. I had an absolutely perfect day thanks to him.

Thanks to DJ Scully the dance floor was packed all night. He hit it out of the park with the music selections and I could not have imagined it to go any better. James was great!!! He was so helpful in every way possible as I wanted a GOBO light but was not sure how to order it and he did it all for me. DJ Scully is not only a great DJ but also has a very friendly demeanor that can get along with anyone. He was great at choosing the right music for our crowd and our parents (who are not normally dancers) on the dance floor! James was awesome.... He meet with us and helped my daughter pick every song for the ceremony, which was every difficult because the Bride had no idea at all what she wanted..
He is extremely knowledgable of how the wedding flows, so therefore he keeps the event on schedule and exciting.... The equipment is state of the art and he plays what you want. He was recommended to us by JG Events and I highly recommend him for your upon wedding or any event that requires a DJ...

DJ sculls wS awesome! He played exactly what I wanted and stayed in the vein of my music taste. I think the best thing was through the night he would kinda check in with me visually and make sure I was happy with his selections etc... Very lively and he knows how to get people out on the dance floor and keep the party going and keep people from being bored. He is classy meets party! My southern grandmother even loved him as much as my 21 year old cousins from Boston! He is the best DJ option in Tallahassee hands down!

Tallahassee Magazine didn't host a wedding, but rather a major local event that incorporated 11 different hair salons and models and more than 600 attendees. The energy of the event was perhaps the most important component as it was important that attendees felt -- almost tangibly -- the excitement surrounding the make-overs of the models. Thanks to DJ Scully, they did. He balanced announcements and music seamlessly, took the time to hunt down specific music mixes for each salon and kept the energy flowing throughout the evening. He was exceptionally professional, responsive to all questions and requests throughout the planning process and was extremely personable at every encounter. What this shows to brides -- and other event planners -- is that this DJ is one to which you can communicate your needs and feel confident in knowing everything will be taken care of to perfection. This is so important when planning a wedding or event, which is why DJ Scully is such a valuable and sought-after service provider. We plan, without a doubt, to utilize his services for our events moving forward.

James recently DJ’d our Tallahassee NYP Golden ACE awards gala at Hotel Duval and we couldn’t be more pleased! A very detail oriented professional, he would quickly follow up with us when questions arose, met with us prior to the event, and adapted to the special situations our event generated. Many of our attendees made positive comments on our DJ selection and we have to agree. James is a talented DJ and a dear friend of our organization -- you just gotta hire him for your next event!

If you are looking for a DJ that is fun, professional, organized, timely, and responsive, then you have to go with James Scully. He met with us in person prior to the wedding, and discussed all of the details. I immediately felt comfortable, and knew that I had made the best choice for our DJ. Right after leaving the meeting, he sent me an email so that I could send him songs as I thought of them. I ended up giving him a list of songs to play - and not to play, which he followed right on point. He gave us the heads-up before each part in our reception (intro, toast, cake-cutting, garter and bouquet toss, etc.), so that we could socialize, but knew exactly what to expect. I can't say enough that he made the reception flawless - but seriously the most fun ever - and everyone there felt the same way. If you want the best, you have to go with DJ Scully.

DJ Scully is awesome. Such a cool guy and very good at what he does. His music list is extensive and there was nothing he didn't have or even know about. While our wedding may not have had a large amount of dancers he did still play well to the crowd and was great about keeping pace. I trusted him from the moment I met him to handle it without much input needed.

James is a true professional with top quality equipment and service. There was never a doubt in mind that everything would run perfectly. He prepared for our reception including asking several logistical questions I had not even considered for the reception. He was more than prepared, both in the planning stages and the actual day of the event. Not only did he provide excellent entertainment, but understood the importance of making our wedding reception a truly special event, which it was! I highly recommend him.

Before our wedding DJ Scully sent a detailed questionnaire asking what music we wanted played, what we didn't want played, etc. When the reception came, he adhered to it flawlessly.

He also was extremely professional. I had told our wedding planner that I did not want our DJ to "mc" very much...as in I didn't want the reception to feel like an event at a sports arena, with our wedding party being announced like a starting line up. However, I realized I never conveyed this wish directly to DJ Scully before the reception. It turned out I didn't have to anyway. He balanced the need to make certain announcements (cake cutting, etc.) and letting the reception carry on naturally.

Also, a couple of times when questions came up, he immediately asked my husband and me our preferences. He also was very flexible and accommodating when my husband and I had forgotten to tell him we were having a family member read a poem at the reception. He worked it in smoothly so that no one knew our forgetful mistake.
