Sabra was great!
since we are living in New York, all communication had to be done via e-mail. did not get to meet her until the day before the wedding, however, Sabra was very prompt and responsive on answering any questions. Sabra drafted our Agenda as soon as she received the questionnaire sheet from us and she took every requests we had into her agenda.
Even though we had list of requested songs all ready, parents had last minute request, Sabra was so flexible and ready to play their request in few seconds. Our parents and guests were very pleased and how in-tune she was to the mood of the crowd.
We absolutely loved working with Sabra, everything worked out out much better than we anticipated- she is just amazing!

Sabra was awesome. She was responsive and will let you customize the exact songs you want. I was busy, so I more gave her general ideas/feelings and she was excellent. I asked for some christian songs during dinner and she went out and bought them for my event--awesome service!

She was able to take example songs I like/didn't like and extrapolate so I didn't need to micromanage her. So glad I didn't. She's experienced and kept the mix of music perfect for both young and old, dancing and chatting.

DJ Sabra is fantastic! I'm not very musically-inclined, and Sabra was a huge help in selecting appropriate songs for cocktails, dinner, and the special dances. We like a pretty diverse range of music, and she was able to fit it all in with perfect transitions between songs, as well as read the crowd to know what they wanted to hear next. She's more than just a DJ too, she kept track of time to make sure the event ran smoothly and we didn't miss anything. We have gotten tons of compliments on how great the music was, and I'd highly recommend using her!

She was great. The reception was so much fun and she was definitely one of the reasons why. She was very responsive to email and was willing to work with us for special song issues. She kept the party going and we got lots of compliments on the music selection. She makes the process really easy so that you can relax and enjoy your special night.

Sabra Decker, the DJ for our wedding and reception, was all I hoped for, and more. Her experience and knowledge of the music industry and insight regarding personal taste, was invaluable.

Our wedding and reception went without a hitch (no pun intended!) and the music throughout was perfect. Sabra worked closely with me to ensure that our music selections were used, and she made excellent suggestions regarding the music, as well as the reception, throughout the planning process. We didn’t hire a planner, and her expertise went a long way in guiding our way.

I agree with other reviewers, who have commented on Sabra’s personality – she is service-oriented, friendly, and realizes the importance of the occasion (she even came to our rehearsal). She is an impressive and charismatic professional, and is well versed in every type of music (including classical, rock, jazz, latin).

If there is any question about who to hire as a DJ, go with Sabra and you won’t be disappointed!

DJ Sabra was helpful and professional. She made great suggestions, and it was clear that she has years of experience. She kept our wedding reception running on schedule, and, more importantly, chose excellent music to keep our party going. She has a wide selection of music and can play anything you want from any genre you want. She was also very pleasant to work with. She responded to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional fashion. When we finally met her in person at the reception, she was a lovely person, the kind of person that you'd want to be friends with. If you want a good DJ, go with Sabra. You won't regret it.

Sabra was very organized and eager to make sure we had the exact wedding reception we wanted! She worked closely with our venue and had a detailed outline of what we could expect from her. She kept the dance party going and everyone had a great time! She also was the DJ at my sister's wedding, we used her because I loved that wedding so much! We highly recommend her!

Sabra was wonderful to work with, very professional, helpful, and a very pleasant person. We had dancing and she had a wide variety of music for us to select from and even found the more obscure songs we were hoping for! Music during our dinner was just the right, a good mix and not too loud, as volume was a concern for some of our older guests. Sabra was always very responsive and always got back to my emails. She was very kind and understanding when I changed my mind about a few things at the last minute! I would highly recommend her as a DJ.

DJ Sabra was amazing! She was very responsive over email and made herself available by phone as well. Unlike many DJs, she was so open to our input and preferences, while also providing suggestions when needed. She kept everyone dancing all night, and all our guests raved about the music! She was also incredibly helpful with announcements and helping to structure the night's events. On top of all that, her services were a real bargain!

DJ Sabra is fantastic! She literally knows exactly what to do and when to do it. You can tell she really enjoys what she does too and that makes a huge difference. The timeline that she sends you really helps a lot to get you thinking on what type of music you want to play during different moments at your reception.

There was not one time during our reception that I thought, "I don't like this song, why did she play this". I was also never concerned that there would be a lag in music. She was/is a professional through and through.

Sabra was an amazing DJ. We asked for very specific timing things: such as specific entrances and orders, and Sabra was so accommodating. She kept my wedding high energy, and provided such a range of music for a very wide range of guests! The music was fabulous, and she made a very special song choice for a specific video the focus whenever we needed her to. What an amazing gem at the Grande Atrium!

Sabra did a fantastic job for us on our wedding night. She learned quickly what type of music we liked and our evening flowed so nicely. She is very energetic and so very pleasant. She made this special night all about us and our family. It was a family surprise wedding and she was a key player in this and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Sabra for your special event!!!!

My fiancée and I used Sabra for our wedding at the Grand Atrium and were very pleased with the music selection and Sabra's overall services.

Prior to the wedding, Sabra provided us with a song list for us to choose from. Neither of us is very musically inclined and it took us a while just to pick songs for the cocktail and dinner Hours. Sabra played them all and at a good volume. She also checked in with us at the beginning of the dinner hour to make certain that the volume was okay. We really appreciated that attention to the little things.

For the dancing after dinner, we only provided basic guidelines (i.e., no country music and bands to avoid) but left everything else up to Sabra. We had a couple of specific requests that Sabra accommodated. One song request she did not have ( a special foreign song in Portuguese), but we provided her with the MP3 and she was able to play it. In addition, although we don't like country music, we asked for one song by Lonestar but in a "non-twangy" version that Sabra was also able to play for us. Overall, she did a great job of selecting music that appealed to our guests and got them out on the dance floor. It also helped that one of my groomsmen was getting into the music and was helping to get everyone out on the dance floor at one point or another. She was also able to accommodate a last minute request to play some salsa music so I could try to get my little 3 year old godson out on the dance floor to show us his salsa moves.

One of my friends at the wedding is also a DJ so I asked his opinion as well since he always pays close attention to other DJs. He said that Sabra did a great job with the music and that she also did a great job as MC.

Overall, we couldn't be happier. Our guests enjoyed themselves and we saw some great pictures of everyone on the dance floor with big smiles on their faces.

Sabra was not only an amazing DJ but an incredible MC. She was very professional and spoke beautifully. She conducted our reception perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Also she's been working with the Grand Atrium for years so she is very comfortable with the setting.

Sabra was the DJ through our reception venue (The Grand Atrium at Tyson’s Corner) and we were very pleased with her. She has the whole process of wedding reception music down to a science. She sent us planning documents months before our wedding on which we could indicate desired songs, and even sent a huge sample list of the songs she already has. She was able to accommodate our special music requests, and was even able to find us a “clean” version of the song to which we wanted to make our grand entrance! The night of our reception, Sabra met us upstairs and then introduced our bridal party to our cheering guests. The effect was marvelous and I didn’t even have to think about music during our reception. Sabra was a huge part of making our event seamless! Thank you, Sabra!

Sabra is the absolute best to work with! We must have had 30 emails back and forth to work on my reception planning agenda...I had so many last minute changes and she was very accomodating. she even let us give special Indian music to her to play. We had a very good mix of music for all ages that everyone enjoyed. My father-in-law commented on the selection I chose; he was excited to hear Elvis! Sabra went with the flow of the crowd and gave me the oppourtunity to cross out all the typical stuff that I hate so there were no surprises on wedding day (the macarena, chicken dance, etc.) You will not be dissapointed with her! If I could change one thing, I would have worked more on details and had them in writing because I forgot (as the bride would on her wedidng day...). This was something I overlooked, not Sabra. I wish I stood up when I gave my welcome speech (I was seated and many people couldn't see me). I also wish everyone actually said "cheers" and touched their glasses after the best man and matron of honor speeches- everyone just sort of stood there with glasses and no one knew what to do. During my father/daughter dance, my dad kept wondering when the song would be over. I didn't realize that Ishould have shortened the song I chose. I'm sure Sabra would have been understanding and gently ended the song. It was a bit awkward because my dad did not want to dance the whole 4 minutes - again, not Sabra's fault (though I kept looking up in the DJ booth hoping she would see me). Lastly, I wish the that the bridal party and families were not so spread apart after being announced.This may be due to the venue I chose but looking back, I can see an oppourtunity for Sabra and her team to have cues for the bride and her family. Thank you Sabra for making our special day so perfect!!

Sabra is a WONDERFULLY nice, smart, responsive, caring, and ultra professional DJ! She has an extensive song list to get your thoughts going. Then when you ask for additional songs she accommodates you! Finally, she even looked into getting us some ethnic folk music.
She is kind, considerate, and very attentive to your every need. If you are Bridezilla, Sabra can handle you with aplomb. Sabra also MC'd our event, and she was so polite, and so polished. Lastly, she has the most soothing voice. I highly recommend her for any type of affair! Thanks Sabra!!

Our DJ was Sabra Decker. She was FANTASTIC, everystep of the way. I was bit indecisive about some of our music, and when to play it, but she gave her opion (as she is the expert), and really helped me in deciding. SHE WAS SUPER SWEET, and Patient. When it came to the reception, she did a FANTASTIC JOB!!!! I really felt like she was a part of the guest at the wedding, not just a DJ. I would definitly recommend Sabra for your events. Ms. Sabre Decker is as good as they get..no wait she's BETTER! She exceeded our expectations by miles. After we chose the The Grand Altrium for our wedding venue we worked with Sabre who is their master of ceremonies and Master is certainly what she is. She provided us with her music list that we could use or provide her with our choices. Communicating with her was easy and prompt. She found out that we were meeting at the venue to go over the last bit of details and she stopped by to see us. That was such a delight. She is a professional and distinquishes herself from her industry. During the wedding she kept the flow continuous and handled all our family members and guests with like the pro she is! There wasn't a moment when the dance floor was empty. She has a super sound system and at The Grand Atrium she has her booth that is not "in" the wedding so you hear but don't see her. That was something I thought was ingenious who ever built the grand atrium. Sabre, we thank you for making our daughter's wedding a beautiful memory we will have for a lifetime!

Sabra was great! She worked closely with us regarding the playlist and kept the party running smoothly. She did not draw attention to herself the way I've seen other DJ's do - she kept the attention on the couple and the party. Other than playing music, she was also great as an MC and kept her eyes on us - I have actually seen a DJ announce the cake-cutting when the bride was outside, but Sabra would never make such a blunder. Sabra has an extensive, eclectic catalog and she found our special requests if she didn't have them. She even shortened our first dance song because it was very long.

Sabra kept the party going all night! I don't think there was a time that I looked at the dance floor and found it empty. She played every special request people put in and made additional unplanned announcements for us. Sabra blended current, modern pop with classics and oldies so that everyone got to hear something they liked. I couldn't have been happier with the music! Go with Sabra!

We had Sabra for our wedding. She had our unique choices for songs, and judged our crowd correctly and played excellent choices throughout the night. She had different versions of songs and made sure I had the version I wanted for my father/daughter dance. She responded to our questions right away and was flexible for our last minute requests. I would recommend Sabra!

We used Sabra for our June 25th wedding at the Grand Atrium in Vienna. We could not have been more happy! She was an amazing DJ. We were not too specific with our music, we let her get a feel for us and she was easily able to figure out what kind of couple we were and what kind of music us and our guests liked. The dance floor was never empty and she kept everyone entertained. I would gladly work with Sabra for any other future needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking!

Sabra is a true gem! My husband and I were so pleased to have DJ Sabra at our wedding. She was very easy to work with and helped us plan a reception schedule that flowed well. Her ability to choose just the right songs kept our guests on the dance floor all evening and we received compliments on the variety of music. Sabra incorporated our special reception touches into the evening as well.

If you are looking for a fun DJ with class who can read your guests and is a true professional, you have found her!

Sabra was just fantastic! I met her the day of the wedding and felt completely confident about that. She responds to email quickly and that is how we communicated primarily (we talked on the once, maybe twice). She put together a great timeline for us. She had tons of musical choices. I had a song for the father/daughter dance that she did not have, but it wasn't a problem. She had the day of. :)

The tone throughout the reception was great. We received numerous compliments on our DJ choice. Everyone had a good time, and lots of people were dancing.

I asked a LOT of questions, and she was always so helpful with her answers. She is also extremely pleasant and easygoing in person. Thank you Sabra!!! My daughter and son-in-law came in from Utah for the wedding and all the planning had to be done here. Sabra worked with all of us by email and coordinated the music beautifully. She has excellent playlists as suggestions and will find any song that is meaningful to you that she does not have. She takes a real interest in music you happen to introduce her to and is very open to different tastes. She knows what works, what gets people up and dancing and what to play for special times in the reception. Sabra does a great job with the music, yet an even better job with setting the tone for your event. She speaks clearly and with an upbeat sense. She is a wonderful hostess for the event. She can move you through the program and help you create it,by paying a lot of attention to detail and listening to what people want. She has a lot of experience with weddings and acts as a wedding planner of sorts as well, giving you feedback about has and has not worked in the past, and suggestions about how you may want to organize things, without being overbearing. She is classy, fun and kind. great to work with!...I cannot imagine having done the wedding with anyone else. She is also very dependable and organized. You can count on her and she keeps things moving, all in a positive way. A DJ can make or break an event. Sabra is first class and very accessible. You will be happy you went with her if you book her, no doubt!! She adds to the event. She is vibrant and dynamic and not at all in your face. She has a calm mannerism that inspires confidence and she really does know what she is doing. We were thrilled to have her! She came and saw the venue in advance with me to plan where she would set up and help me make program decisions that I ran past her. She was very professional and personable at all times. She also set us up with a fabulous jazz quartet to play during the cocktail hour. Book her is you can!!!! Five Stars and then some.....

Planning a VA wedding from out of state was a difficult task, and with no time to sti down and interview DJs and and call their references, we simply went with our venue's (the Grand Atrium) suggestions. Thank Goodness! Sabra was so amazing to work with; she was very responsive (most of our communications were via e-mail) and very well organized. We got married in "the Blizzard of 2010" and Sabra had the foresight to drop all the music off at the venue on Thursday, "just in case". However, even though she had that "out", she showed up on Saturday evening, despite the 30 inches of snow that closed most of the surrounding area. Amazing! She rolled with the punches and rearranged the flow of the evening as necessary. Most importantly, she had the guests that were able to join us out on the dance floor the entire evening. Our wedding was a blast, thanks in large part to Sabra.

Sabra was great to work with! We had our reception at the Grand Atrium, which has a few DJs on hand, so we decided to use the DJ through the Grand Atrium (which I was a bit nervous about). I shouldn't have worried because we totally lucked out with her! Sabra was easy to communicate with and listened to all of our requests and the "Do Not Play" list. On the day, she was perfect in leading us and our wedding party through introductions and first dances. And, after dinner, the dance floor was so packed that several of our friends commented they couldn't have dessert because they couldn't stop dancing!

what a great women. Sabra was there for any questions I had along the way, calls, emails etc. She truly made my night memorable. Everyone commented how great the wedding was, and how everyone was dancing and having a fun time!!!!

Sabra was the DJ for our wedding on Oct 9, 2009 at the Grand Atrium and we couldn't have been happier with her work. She was easy to work with from the beginning. We had a in person planning meeting with her a few months before our event and right before that had been at a wedding with an awful DJ who was telling stupid jokes and playing hokey music. We knew right away after meeting her that Sabra would be just the opposite. She listened to what we wanted and made it very clear that this was our wedding and she wanted the music to speak for itself. She took all of my song requests, many of which were latin music which she had no trouble finding, and made sure to play all of them at the perfect times during the reception. She is very flexible and wants to play the music YOU want, without any unnecessary commentary.

Our guests, young and old, danced the night away and we got lots of comments on our great playlist and the good mix of music. She was very kind and easy-going when dealing with me, the bridal party and my parents before the introductions. Sabra even played a few extras songs extending our reception a few extra minutes, I think because she was having such a good time too!

It was my great pleasure to work with Sabra and have her provide & organize our music selection for our wedding reception. We had our reception at the Grand Atrium in Vienna, VA and she happened to be one of the DJs that work there regularly. After we first heard from her that she will be DJing for us, I was happy to find out just how well-versed in music (even with international/ethnic music), responsive, and flexible she is. She worked hard to get to know us and our musical preferences and sure enough, on our wedding day...played very danceable and fun music that was within our taste. She's very observant and receptive to the "vibe" or dynamic of the guests at every moment, and is able to provide the songs needed to get the crowd going.

Thank you again for your services, Sabra! I highly recommend Music by Sabra to all brides-to-be. Her work definitely made my wedding planning easier and much less stressful than it could have been.

DJ Sabra is incredibly talented, professional and fun to work with. She knows how to get the reception going while being relaxed and low key. Sabra was the DJ for my wedding April 25th, 2009. It was a seamlessly run event. Family and friends have all commented about the amazing time they had. A fabulous DJ makes all of the difference in the world!

My wife and I worked with Sabra for our wedding, and she was fantastic. There are so many ways in which she surprised us, enriched our experience, and faciliated our enjoyment, it's hard to capture in a brief description, but I'll try.

First, she was an absolute pleasure to work with, providing high energy and reassurances throughout the process - as a person, you couldn't ask for someone nicer to work with.

Second, she was so proactive and committed that she made special trips to the venue to ensure that our music sounded great on the in-house system, and this really put us at ease. She also went out of her way to confirm that versions of the songs she had in her collection were to our liking. She took no offense to requests for changes, no matter how idiosyncratic those requests were, and she always returned with a version that precisely fit the effect we were hoping to achieve. She also found many songs that we had indicated we'd love to hear that were not in her vast collection.

Third, our wedding merged two families of very different cultures, musical tastes and wedding styles, and her ability to meld them into one really made the event special. She mixed our music selections perfectly with contemporary and classic songs from the hodge-podge list we provided her. She took time to learn the correct pronouciations of the entire wedding party, none of whom have have Anglican names I might add, and our guests of similar backgrounds went out of their way to commend her on that.

Finally, she was the picture of calm and guidance even when the slightest wrinkle threatened to throw off the perfect day. When the disc/song I provided her (at the last minute) for the last dance turned out not to function as expected, she calmly found me on the dance floor, quietly informed me of the issue, and suggested a perfect alternative that was better than the one we wanted in the first place.

I sincerely hope that everyone who reads this review will consider working with Sabra who's a wonderful lady and a great DJ.

Sabra Decker is one of the in-house DJ's at our reception venue (The Grand Atrium in Tyson's Corner area) and we are glad that she was there to help make sure that our reception flowed smoothly. Sabra was happy to accommodate our desired song list and collection of music which was uniquely us to accompany our event. Sabra was responsive to our crowd (which was less about dancing and more about socializing) and made sure that the music was in the background but still energetic. We were pleased with the service Sabra provided.

DJ Sabra was wonderful! My husband Robin and I couldn't have found a better DJ....Sabra really helped guide us in the right direction to select songs as we went into this having no clue where to start. She made it really easy and we didn't have to worry about anything except having a great time.
During the reception I had forgot to put my garder at the church prior to being married in the first place and Sabra was able to stall with more great music until I could get it on and proceed with a smooth transition for the taking off of the garder. One of my bridesmaids had also been in charge of giving the longest married couple a gift and Sabra was able to once again come to the rescue and stall as she fogot that in her car!
In addition the cartering staff at our wedding reception were slower than turtles and Sabra gracious offered to help move things along which really wasn't the job of a DJ but she went above and beyond for us.
All in all having a DJ who cares like a friend is highly recommened in our book!!!!

I can't forget to mention that Sabra stayed longer too just to play one of my favorite songs for me and my bridesmaids.....we went to get a drink first and she waited until my return as she knew I loved the song...how sweet!
