DJ ProperDimitry was the perfect person to DJ our wedding. We got married a little over a month ago but had begun speaking with Dimitry around October of last year. From our very first phone call, we could tell that he was the right person for the job. His energy was infectious and it was clear that he truly cared about making our wedding day the absolute best that it could be. When we were discussing what we wanted the vibes of the wedding to be, Dimitry said he would match the energy that we brought, and he did way more than that. We had a wide variety of ages and ethnicities as guests and wanted to make sure that everyone would feel welcome on the dance floor, while also having the music simultaneously represent us. Dimitry weaved together a playlist that had the dance floor jumping all night long. Even my grandmother (who is in a wheelchair) spent the night dancing in her chair. Additionally, we had asked Dimitry to mash up two very different songs for our first dance and he mixed them together so well, you would have thought they were produced that way. When speaking with our guests, many of them said it was the best and most fun wedding they had been to and that was in no small part thanks to the work Dimitry put in. If you have any kind of event and need a DJ/MC to keep the party, not only going, but thriving, DJ ProperDimitry is your guy. -

Your search is done. Book Dimitry, seriously! He was such a professional from the first call through the very end of the night. He communicated with us clearly, guided us through our music selection, and offered up some fun ways to get the crowd going. He made our reception a blast and we're so thankful we found him. He made the wedding day that much easier and special for us. He will not disappoint!

Dimitry was a pleasure to work with from our very first call with him. He was organized and engaged in the lead up to our wedding, and made sure everything we needed was covered and detailed. On the day of, Dimitry acted both as emcee throughout the night as well as DJ for the dance portion. He got everyone’s names right, which sounds like a small thing but just shows his attention to detail and ensuring that it all was so personal to us. Everything felt seamless throughout the evening and the AV set-up worked great. Dimitry was able to keep everyone on the dance floor for more than two hours as we closed out the evening. He was able to blend both the songs we had offered as guidance with his own sense of the rhythm and flow of the dance floor, and there was never a dull moment. Dimitry was able to take our craziest ideas and run with them without missing a beat, and it made the whole night incredibly special and memorable, both for ourselves and for our guests. -

We hired Dimitry for my husband’s roller-skating birthday party, and he was amazing! The playlist was perfect, blending classic skating hits with fun modern tracks that kept everyone on the rink. He was professional, took requests, and read the crowd perfectly. The energy was fantastic from start to finish. Highly recommend him for any event—you won’t be disappointed! -

Otakutober event success
We hosted an anime-themed Halloween event called Otakutober for my clothing brand, and DJ Properdimitry absolutely killed it! He brought the perfect mix of anime remixes with hip-hop vibes that had everyone vibing all night long. The energy he created was unmatched—he knew exactly how to keep the crowd hyped and made the entire night a vibe from start to finish.

DJ ProperDimitry was just amazong. He showed up on time; was gracious and polite with me, and incredibly efficient in his work. I hardly knew he was there--a true sign of great DJ work. I spent many years as an event planner for a local country club and witnessed all kinds of craziness with DJ's. I am grateful for DJDimitry's professionalism and quietly polite demeanor, not to mention his ability to keep the dance floor jumping, even with a quite varied group of people. I am so glad Joseph found you and you said yes. -

Dimitry was an incredible DJ! He was a great communicator, experienced, and well-informed, making the wedding process less daunting. The music was great! DJ Proper provided amazing entertainment for our wedding on Friday April 12th. Prior to first speaking with him, I spoke with a few other DJs and I will honestly say he was the most professional and I loved his vibe. He took time to meet with us several times leading up to the wedding. During the wedding he was the DJ and MC, kept the crowd entertained. He contributed to an amazing night! I cannot recommend Dimitry enough! From our first meeting to the last song of the night, he was prompt, profession, and a joy to work with. He listened to all of our requests and gave some really helpful suggestions, especially regarding dinner music. When it came to dancing, Dimitry read the crowd perfectly. Many of our guests commented on how well he was able to keep people on their feet. He was even easily able to roll with the punches when we had to move our ceremony indoors at the last second due to rain. -

Reliable and Charismatic
Dimitry is a reliable DJ who is filled with charisma and energy. His communication was spot on from the beginning. He provided me with a form in advance to fill out based on the mood for the evening. My guests were a mixed bunch- conservatives and partiers all in the same vicinity. Dimitry was able to gauge the crowd and create a comfortable atmosphere for all parties involved. He's quick on his feet and can trouble shoot like a champ. We even asked him to dance for us ;) Dimitry is a man of character and quality. 10/10 would recommend. -

He really listened to what we were looking for. People were dancing the whole night! He read the room well and was really flexible when it came to last minute changes. I got a lot of comments about how good of a job he did! The email responses could be a bit better, I had to ask a few times if he got my emails but he always confirmed after I followed up. We definitely recommend Dimitry!
