DJ Peter Piper is more than a DJ. Simply put, he is an atmosphere engineer. He made my entire wedding feel iconic; so much so, multiple people came up to me during my wedding to tell me how he is hands-down the best DJ at a wedding they have ever heard. Not only was he so collaborative, so as to make sure the songs we wanted were played, but he included songs that made it so no one left the dance floor at any point. He has a deep knowledge of the eras of music we were interested in (70s; 80s; 00s) and just seamlessly blended them. He was such a pleasure to work with and just unbelievably talented and kind! -

Peter was amazing. He worked with us on crowd, on the genres, and kept up the energy all evening long. We even had people let us know how much fun they had and they would specifically mention the DJ and the dancing. It was a very mixed crowd in terms of age and interests in genres and Peter handled it like a pro. Big fan and highly recommend Peter! -

On our wedding night, we envisioned a full dance floor no one wanted to leave, and DJ Peter Piper delivered exactly that. We're the second in our friend group to hire him and definitely not the last. When my Grandpa had a heart attack the week of the wedding and couldn't attend, Peter outfitted his tech so we could call them in for the blessing over our meal. It was a small gesture but he went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. When people talk about our wedding, they mention the energy of the dance floor first. He took all our notes, read the vibes of the room perfectly, and the crowd went wild. Peter is the premiere choice in NYC if you want your dance floor to feel like your favorite night at the club with bop after bop. -

This man is a rock star! If you are DJ shopping, you have found your guy. From our first meeting to our wedding night, Peter was professional, engaging, and accommodating. He was thoughtful with his suggestions and made the process very easy. Our wedding night went off without a hitch! There's nothing a DJ could have done to do a better job than Peter did for my wedding. His playlists were exactly what we wanted. His feel for the night was perfect. He is endlessly amenable, and also technically excellent as far as audio design for different rooms. Cannot recommend any more. Sidenote: I hadn't met the man before my wife got the DJ rec - this ain't a friend review, I just want talent and hard work recognized. -

Our DJ, Peter Piper, did an amazing job – the ceremony mics, music, and sound overall was flawless, dance floor music was spot-on all night, and he kept the energy going while staying true to our requested do/don't playlists. He ran requests by us to be sure we agreed with additions, and we had people on the dance floor from the first song to the last. A conga line started organically! Several guests said it was a "top 5 night" of their lives, and one said Peter was their favorite wedding attendee (honestly, same). Overall, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Peter helped make our even more day special, and we've already recommended him to other couples. -

There truly aren't enough stars. If you're having a wedding (or literally any life function at all) and want your guests to have the absolute best time dancing, browse no further. In addition to making sure all was smooth on the sound for our ceremony, Peter was the legit heartbeat of our reception. From curating an excellent and eclectic dinner mix to editing our (unique) first dance song choice down to perfection to keeping our friends nonstop dancing from forks down to the 1am tail end of our afterparty, there's nothing this man can't do. On top of that, he'll do it while dancing and vibing out as hard as anyone, and bringing wamrth, kindness and collaboration at every step. He also truly lives up to the Peter Piper-ness of his name. Every moment I was convinced I needed to call it and rest, he knew just the perfect song to make you pivot right on back to the dance floor and keep going. All of the glowing hype in every review is so real. Brb, hitting up my HR team to see about getting him at our holiday party. -

Our dance floor was full the entire night—enough said. DJ Peter Piper read the room perfectly and kept the bangers coming nonstop. Multiple guests asked us where we found him and if they could get a copy of our playlist!
If you hire him, you won’t regret it for a second. He’s incredibly friendly, easy to work with, and has excellent taste in music. Pete went above and beyond to craft an epic playlist that our guests are still talking about. He truly made our celebration unforgettable.

Such a personable DJ experience
Peter was the perfect DJ for our wedding, not only was he super thorough in helping us curate our ceremony, cocktail hour, entrances, and reception music, but he was also super engaged with our guests and even joined us on the dancefloor at the end of the night! We got a lot of great feedback from our guests, and even had some requesting access to the playlist after the fact! Our wedding was located at the Baltimore Museum of Art in Baltimore, MD, but Peter was super down to travel down to be a part of our special day for such a reasonable price! It was definitely worth it. -

My husband and I got married a few weeks ago, and are still on Cloud 9 by how fabulously our wedding went. It went so phenomenally in no small part because of DJ Peter Piper's contribution. To start, he's a delightful, intelligent, kind, caring and vibrant person, and he brings all of these qualities to his work. He took to heart every request we made, and then added so much of his own flair. He is incredible at reading the room and knowing exactly what the crowd is craving. The way he layers and transitions songs is so fresh and exciting. We had a dance set between our cocktail hour and dinner, and he managed to get every single one of our guests up on the dance floor moving. Our guests were dancing the whole night. He is a true artist and clearly loves what he does. We HIGHLY recommend him as a DJ, both for weddings or for any event you're hosting. -

On a five-star rating scale we'd give Pete six stars! If we could give more, we'd happily give more. Pete was super chill, easy to work with, and more than delivered on creating a fabulous night for us and our guests. From the very start he helped us feel at ease in the planning process and was ready with answers to any of our questions. It's also worth mentioning that our venue was brand new (ours was the space's second wedding) and Pete knew exactly what he needed to facilitate our vision. The dance floor was packed all night long with curated playlists that seamlessly transitioned between genres depending on the vibe. We had everything from Rocky Horror to Rihanna and the night never skipped a beat. Pete's joy was palpable and contagious. We couldn't have dreamt up a better DJ for our day. I can't even begin to express how incredible our experience with Pete was. He's an amazing DJ and on top of it he's like, the nicest, coolest dude around. We had an outdoor, DIY wedding that required a lot of moving parts, especially when it came to the electricity so we had a million questions for Pete and he was super communicative, responsive and knowledgeable. He created amazing playlists for the wedding based on our preferences and was willing and ready to pivot whenever we needed a vibe shift. He read the crowd really well and any time we specifically requested a shift he was super game. Pete's not just chillin while he's working either, he's full on JAMMING the whole time!! Pete was the best!! We clicked with him from our first meeting, because he made us feel so at ease and taken care of. He had answers to all our questions, including ones that we didn't even know to ask. And omg, the wedding was the most fun I've ever had. He had everyone (regardless of age or dancing ability) out on the dance floor all night and transitioned seamlessly and cleverly between genres (we wanted a mix of pop, r&b, Latin, etc.) and all of our guests raved about him. The whole room was electric and so joyful and I was only sorry we couldn't make the moment last forever. It was such a delight to see all our favorite people having such a blast. I attended my sister's wedding in Brooklyn and had the pleasure of seeing DJ Peter Piper in action. Not only did he have exceptional skills in transitions, variety of songs, and really "knowing the crowd", he was an exceptionally kind professional. My wife and I meticulously researched and interviewed multiple DJs for our wedding, and we both felt an instant connection with Peter, which paid off! Working with him on the playlist and the show flow felt like we were working with someone that we have known for years. His music recommendations and curation of songs that we like drew compliments from many, if not all of our guests. Our event also had guests in multiple age groups, from toddlers to seniors, and they all had an amazing time due in part to Peter and his approach as a DJ.

Phenomenal
After having been to 30+ weddings in my lifetime, I know the DJ makes or breaks the wedding and generally determines how much fun people have. DJ Peter Piper was absolutely phenomenal and single-handedly made our wedding a memorable one. He gave us an incredible party with our friends that we will never forget. He worked with us on 3 separate calls on the playlist before the wedding (and gave fair and honest feedback on what was going to get people dancing and what wouldn't, since I'm pretty picky with music) and absolutely delivered the night of. I've seen a lot of wedding DJs who just sort of stand there and play songs on a computer but Peter was really getting into it and I could tell was having as much fun as we were which created a really amazing vibe overall. Amazingly, he was also significantly cheaper than a lot of other DJs we talked to. We could not recommend him more highly and we are so thrilled and thankful that he was the DJ for our special day. -

If you're looking for the perfect DJ for your wedding, stop searching and choose DJ Peter Piper! Pete was such a pleasure to work with - he is the nicest guy and works so hard to curate the experience you are looking for. We love music and so Pete worked with us leading up to the wedding to craft the perfect playlist. He really listened to what we wanted and was able to accommodate all our requests (some pretty niche) and then threw in other songs that totally fit our vibe. He 100% delivered -- the music was the best part of the night, and our guests thought so too -- so many guests told us afterward that our DJ was incredible. The dance floor was packed all night long. We first heard of Pete through a friend, and she had an amazing experience with him DJ-ing her wedding too. Peter MADE our wedding!
Music was by far and away the most important element to us for our wedding, and Peter knocked it out of the park. TLDR - if you care about having a killer dance party at your wedding hire him. You won't regret it.
Peter is not the traditional wedding DJ who just passively throws on a generic set list of top 40 from the last two decades and kicks back. During the planning process he worked closely with us to design a set list that reflected our diverse musical taste and the type of dance party we wanted to have at our reception, making thoughtful suggestions on additional songs that really helped to bring the overall set list together.
While we had a strong point of view on what we wanted for our wedding music - it was also clear that Peter is the type of flexible DJ who could just have easily taken a few sentences of guidance from us to craft an amazing experience. He is definitely a seasoned pro.
Then on the night of the wedding he was able to read the room, making the types of on-the-fly adjustments that you would expect from a proper DJ to get everybody on the dance floor. Beyond that - he brought so much energy to what he was doing - every time I glanced up at the stage Peter was jumping and dancing as hard as anyone on the floor - creating the type of energy that you could really feed off.
Honestly - I don't think I've ever danced so hard in my whole life, and that's exactly what we wanted. It was truly amazing. It's now been a month since our wedding and while the high of that night has started to recede, Peter's set remains as one of the highlights of the night and the thing that our friends are still raving to us about. -

Pete is not just musically talented, with an impressive collection of songs & a great taste - he also knows how to read the room and adapt to the crowd's mood. He got everyone up and dancing which is a key ingredient for a succesful wedding/reception! He is also a careful listener and takes great care to represent certain songs/genres that you like while avoiding the ones you do not. Finally, I really appreciate Pete going above and beyond to record the party mix & make it available to us as an MP3; that is a wedding memento we will always treasure and enjoy. An angel of music at OUR wedding? It's more likely than you'd think.
If we had one person come up to us during the wedding to tell us that Pete was the best DJ they had ever experienced, it must have been all 200 of our guests. Seriously. We have had at least 80% of our guests ask for the playlists from our reception. He had my partner's grandparents dropping ass on the dance floor for hours. On that note, the dance floor was not empty for even a second of the night, even before our first dance. The floor was so packed, people were dancing at their tables, outside the tent, under the stars, and apparently even in the bathrooms! My legs still hurt (in the best way possible)!
From the beginning, Pete was extremely communicative, kind, fun, and just an absolute dream to work with. We have a very broad taste in music, and he spent hours helping us hone in on our vision for the flow throughout the day (a lot more difficult than it sounds). We created some playlists for the vibe, and he pulled a lot of music straight from our selections, as well as put in a ton of his own superb choices.
We had a very specific vision for our ceremony, which he executed perfectly; folks are still reaching out to us to talk about it! Our venue also intends to put him and BPM Events on their preferred vendors list (between you and I, our venue said that Pete is the best DJ to ever have performed there).
Throughout the day when our timeline got a little wonky, Pete was there to roll with the punches, and helped us get back on track, as well as make some last-minute adjustments that wouldn't have been possible without him as the amazing MC.
Pete was an absolute honor to work with, and in general is just an all-around fun, sweet, energetic, musical genius with a heart of gold. Thank you, Pete! We hope to see you out in the real world sometime soon! -

We are so glad we picked DJ Peter Piper for our wedding at The Brooklyn Winery! Peter was incredible to work with from start to finish. We hired BPM Events because they were on our wedding venue recommended vendors list and ended up working with DJ Peter Piper (Peter Toussaint.) And it was one of the BEST decisions we made!! We literally lost count of the number of people who told us afterwards that Peter was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard! Guests of all ages loved the mix he created and he had an amazing intuition for which song should come next and how to perfectly blend them together! People were on the dance floor literally the whole night and it was a blast getting to dance with everyone for such a long time. Peter was punctual, communicative and friendly throughout the whole process. Before the event, Peter had several calls with us, just to make sure he totally understood the flow of the evening and was happy to make any announcements we requested throughout the night. We gave him two Spotify playlists in advance, and he played many of the songs we suggested while adding several other songs we hadn't thought of ourselves but fit our vibe perfectly. It's also clear he LOVES his job and his energy and enthusiasm was infectious as he danced along in the DJ booth. We really hope he will be DJ-ing at other weddings we attend, because he certainly knows how to set a phenomenal vibe and throw an unforgettable party!!!! -

DJ Peter Piper was an amazing DJ. Some highlights:
- Balances unique and accessible music: He read the room at different moments of the night and had the entire wedding dancing. He balanced different types of musics throughout the night and had more interesting mixes and transitions than your average wedding.
- Two tables gave him a standing ovation during dinner. That's right. We hadn't even gotten to the dancing part yet, and two tables stood and chanted his name they loved the music he was playing so much.
- Overwhelming responses from guests. At least one person from every friend group remarked on how fun and appropriate the music was. I even had ppl asking me afterwards for his contact info to book him for other events.
- His calm demeanor made it such a breeze to work with him. The process of working with him from start to finish was easy, not stressful, and also brought our stress levels down.
Just do it. Book him for your wedding. He's such a gem and absolute pleasure to work with! -

Pete DJed my wedding in 2016 and he was absolutely wonderful! Not only was he extremely professional and kind, but he played the best music for my party. Prior to my wedding we had discussed the sort of vibe I wanted, and he made sure my vision came true. Everyone was dancing and the musical choices were perfect. DJ Peter Piper was someone we use to love at a local venue in NYC! My husband loved him so much he asked him to DJ our Baltimore wedding shortly after proposing!

My husband and I got married in a very old, very proper house a few years ago and we hired DJ Peter Piper on the recommendation of a friend. It was the best choice we made when planning our wedding. He had our entire wedding dancing from 6 until 1 in the morning without pause. We recommend him to everyone we know and friends have hired him since. Every time we dance to Peter's music, we dance ALL NIGHT LONG. I've been to dozens of weddings and he is still, hands down, the best DJ I've ever had the pleasure of partying with. He mixes styles to fit the evening, listens to the energy of the crowd, incorporates the couple's favorite genre's and does it all with ease. He's also a joy of a person, so positive and kind. He's great to work with. He brings the right tunes and a lot of love to everyone's celebration. The last thing that happened at our wedding was the entire crowd chanting, "PETER! PETER! PETER! We hired DJ Peter Piper for our June 2023 wedding at the Wythe Hotel and he absolutely killed it on the mic and off. His ability to read the room and play to the crowd was great. He took our instructions well, yet he was able to use his intuition to keep the dance floor packed all night with the same vibe. He also did a great job with the ceremony music, cocktail music, and dinner music. Further, during the wedding he was communicative and made sure to cue us in for things on the timeline. He also sends you the party playlist beforehand to make sure there are no surprises and speaks to you about all of the small details in order to make the music exactly what you have imagined for your day. We went through the day without a worry about the music. From the start of dancing to the end of dancing, our guests had A BALL. They're still talking about how great the music was weeks later! As a young Black couple, we also appreciated how up to date he is to the culture and how he progressed from pop to uncut hip-hop through the evening to our request. 10/10, one of the best vendors we hired. Hire him! You will not regret it! -
