Best DJ - hire him!

We absolutely loved Mike for our wedding at The Gramercy Mansion in Baltimore. We first met with him at the venue, and he walked us through where he would set things up, addressed any concerns we had, and began taking notes on the vibes we wanted for our day. He texted afterwards to let us know we could send him playlists via Apple music or Spotify or send him full lists of songs we wanted. We had a meeting with him about a month out from the wedding and he walked us through every detail and brought up things we hadn’t even thought of yet. Then, when I started getting anxious about a week or two before the wedding, he hopped on ANOTHER meeting with us and went through ALL of the details again. He also offered very kind advice about the wedding day itself and was just a lovely, friendly presence to have on our day. He skillfully incorporated songs from our “dinner” playlist (for example) into our cocktail hour playlist when it seemed like the list we gave him wouldn’t be long enough. He took all of our requests and preferences into consideration and just made everything completely seamless. I even gave him a “look” during our first dance set that I was ready to invite people to dinner, and he just smoothly made that happen. I cannot recommend DJ Mike highly enough.

Easy and awesome

Mike was such a pleasure to deal with. From planning, to the actual event, he took charge and put our minds at ease, so we could simply enjoy the night. He coordinated with the other vendors and really helped the night seamless! Mike made sure everyone was dancing and had a good time. He was thoughtful and fun, and even allowed me to guest dj (Mike was much better than me). He truly cared, and made our night so so special! We would definitely hire Mike again!

I cannot say enough about how good Michael Pachino is. He is a true professional. He listens closely to the client and will work with you and your family to design the best possible bar/bat mitzvah party. As a DJ, he'll play the songs and games that you and your child want. He will make an incredible montage of photos/videos for the party, too. Unlike many DJs, he will not take over the party with his voice or volume. Finally, he is a "one stop shop": in addition to being your DJ, he'll help you get invitations and guest party gifts done in a professional, timely way.

From the initial meeting to the day of the event, Mike was easy to work with and detail oriented. His work is top notch. He takes time to get to know the family and personalizes the event accordingly. He has great suggestions but is also interested in what the family wants and desires. He is extremely organized and provides just enough information to help the family plan for the event without the process becoming too overwhelming. He is a true professional!

Mike was the most amazing DJ and event planner I've ever met! Everyone of our guests left with a smile on their face and a great experience. Mike helped me plan out what we wanted to do and he ran with it. His Horah was the most fun and interactive that anyone has ever seen. He worked within my budget and made ALL of my dreams and my daughter's dreams come true! Thanks so much DJ Mike!

Mike set the tone, orchestrated all the details, and kept everyone on the dance floor (all with an incredible sense of humor). He got to know our family to learn what kind of event we were looking for in terms of flow, song selection and activities, and then spent extra time with our daughter to make sure that the evening was exactly what she wanted. We knew Mike would be amazing, but he exceeded our incredibly high expectations!!!

Mike did an amazing job! We recommend him without any reservations whatsoever. He was thoroughly engaged in the planning process, met with us twice before the event. It was clear he was giving us very personal attention. He understood exactly what our son (and we) wanted and executed it perfectly! I can't recall ever hosting a party where you didn't have to say or ask the DJ to do something, but with Mike, we didn't have to say a thing. Everyone absolutely loved it! The dance floor was packed the entire time! I would hire Mike again in an instant.

My son wasn't keen on having a wild, loud dance party to celebrate his bar mitzvah. Mike "got" that and went out of his way to personalize the party specifically for my son. He kept all of the guests, kids and adults alike, engaged with his upbeat personality, fun games, and inclusive nature. The music choices and volume met my son's requests and everyone had a great time. I HIGHLY recommend Mike on the Mic and plan to have him at my younger son's bar mitzvah in 4 years!

Mike was the best! He is not the flashy DJ that I have seen at other events where the DJ is the center of the party, but rather he engages the crowd to have the best time. It was not a DJ show, but rather a party with my daughter as the center of the show. Everyone was engaged, kids and adults. The guests stayed until the music stopped at 11pm.
Mike was so easy to work with. He responded to every call/email quickly and made me feel like my daughter's party was the only party he was working on. He wanted the party to be what my daughter wanted and asked her questions about her desires for the party as well as ours.
Also, he knows party logistics. Not just the music, but timelines and set up. His experience is obvious!

We love DJ Mike on the Mic (Michael Pachino)! Mike was the DJ for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah in 2012 and again for my son's Bar Mitzvah this year, 2017. Mike worked with my children to design entertainment that suited their personalities. For my daughter it was dancing and for my son it was games. Mike was able to get guests of all ages dancing and playing games. The adults joined in the games with the children and dancing. He conducts a wonderful Horah and works seamlessly with other vendors. He also provides very good advice on other aspects of your event.

Mike also creates wonderful montages, which is an added value and very important to me since I am an amateur photographer.

Mike was amazing. Before the Bat Mitzvah, he spoke with my daughter and I so that he was sure of everything we wanted. As our celebration was at an orthodox shul, he was very careful to work within required parameters. Even though there was no dancing at our party, Mike kept everyone entertained. I received numerous complements.

Mike was wonderful! From the beginning he made the planning easy, fun, and non stressful! He brought along a wealth of information at our first meeting, followed up with several emails to keep in touch, and was able to help explain decisions I didn't understand. The day of the party he was accessible for questions, flexible, and fantastic! All the guests had an amazing time! Everything went very smoothly with no stress!! The children AND the adults had an amazing time dancing and playing games. Mike involved everyone at the party! The kids LOVED the favors he brought and the screen they could dance behind! The pucker powder stand was especially popular. I can say, without hesitation, that Mike was the key to a successful, fun Bat Mitzvah party!

Michael was amazing! I received tons of compliments from the grown ups about how he kept the kids engaged for the entire party. My daughter is not much of a dancer, so Michael oriented the party around various fun games. The kids loved it!!
He was completely responsive and detail oriented, and I knew I could hand the party over to him and relax. He is largely responsible for the success of our Bat Mitzvah party, and cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mike Pachino is absolutely "as advertised". He provided everything he was asked & more. He kept the party going strong for both young & old. Mike is a high-energy guy who obviously loves what he does. During our planning phase, Mike shared his professional experience to help us make the correct decisions. I couldn't be more pleased with Mike Pachino's work. I have a shy son who wanted a low-key reception. Mike did a great job of involving my son in the planning process. He balanced my son's wishes with the need to have a reception that met the needs of all of our guests, who ranged in age from 18 months-94.

Mike really drew my son out of his shell and my son had a fabulous time. His teachers have commented on his increased confidence and participation in class and my guests haven't stopped calling to rave about the party and about Mike Pachino.

Mike supported the family through the whole mitzvah planning process with reminder emails and offering an array of other services. He helped me find some of my other vendors and worked well with with them to coordinate the flow of the entire evening.

Before we left the reception, my 9 1/2 year approached Mike to "hire" him for his bar mitzvah in 2019. I highly recommend DJ Mike and plan to use his services again for our next mitzvah.

Mike was a true professional from beginning to end. He was extremely responsive from the very beginning. He came over our house twice to make sure everything was in order and we met over his to pick out party favors and finalize the event. He truly had the party rocking and played all the songs we talked about. He even remembered my and my wife's anniversary (from our first meeting) and played a special song for us. Was truly and amazing night.

I fully recommend DJ Mike. He is an incredibly talented professional who understands how to ensure guests have a fun experience at a party. He is responsive to requests, flexible and just incredibly easy to work with on every level. We prepped thoroughly in advance, so he knew a lot about the event and about my child's personality and tastes. I also felt confident that DJ Mike would show up on time, at the right location, with all of the equipment-- which is not the case with many in the industry. A true professional!

We used Mike Pachino for our son's Bar-Mitzvah and we cannot say enough good things about him and his team from DJ Mike on the Mic! From the moment I met him at a Mitzvah Expo, to the personal meetings with us and our son he was an absolute pleasure to work with! He took the time to really listen to what we wanted and he delivered on everything and then some. He went over and above our wildest expectations. We had a big event - over 200 people and almost 90 kids but it never felt like it. He kept the kids happy with games and music they liked. He kept the parents happy with music they liked and kept the volume at a level that everyone was happy with from the kids to 65+ crowd. His dancers kept everyone moving and having fun and they taught the favorite line dances but you never felt pressured to only do what they were doing if you didn't want to. The dance floor was NEVER EMPTY! We received numerous comments on how great our DJ was and we wholeheartedly agree! He even threw in some surprises that were amazing...remember what you say in your meetings with him...he sure does! And from a purely financial standpoint - his prices are extremely reasonable and he works with you to make sure you get the most bang for your buck! You cannot go wrong with Michael Pachino / DJ Mike on the Mic!

Mike is a master of Bar Mitzvahs. He did a phenomenal job at both of our sons' events. He obviously loves making the day special for the family and guests. He is also a consummate professional.

Michael was a pleasure to work with. He uses all of his vast resources to customize your event exactly the way you want it to be. He offers his assistance and experience to help organize your event and recommends other vendors that may be helpful. He is amazing with the kids (and adults) and includes the bar/bat mitzvah child in all of the planning down to what color tie they would like him to wear. All of my guests were impressed with Michael.

Michael was fabulous! I saw him work someone's party and immediately new that he's the DJ we have to have for our event. He is quick on his feet, improvises beautifully when things don't go as smoothly as otherwise planned (like when inviting a couple to the dance floor, but one of the two is busy talking to a guest), involves people of all ages, and has impeccable organizational skills (sending reminders and staying connected)--making the "party" component nearly effortless. I also very much appreciated that upon my recommendation, Michael connected with a DJ on the West Coast to learn more about a "technique" we found to be a lot of fun. The two DJs shared ideas and Michael implemented it at our party--making it a truly unique start to the party. He really got the crowd going and made sure everyone was as involved as possible. Thank you!
As an aside, very critical guests were complimenting me on my choice of DJ, saying that the music was not obnoxiously noisy as many other parties can get. It was festive, but still allowed people to talk around tables.

Mike really knows the crowd and keeps the flow of the party going. This is the 2nd party that he has done for me and about the 6th event that I have attended that he has provided the DJ services for. I would not recommend anyone else but Mike. He knows his business and you can always count on him to have a successful event.

We gave Mike an impossible task. He was the DJ for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah 2 years ago so we already knew he was great! But, for our son's Bar Mitzvah, we had some unorthodox requests. Our son is diagnosed with autism. He only likes classical music and we had fewer than 10 guests, out of 150, under the age of 18. So, we needed a celebratory luncheon with... well, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven... On top of that, I'm a little, um, disorganized and tend to live in the land of last-minuteville, which I imagine isn't a lot of fun for someone who spends so much time preparing in advance for an event. Mike was professional, thorough, and responsive. I honestly don't know HOW he did it but Mike turned our questionably successful event into a beautifully perfect party! Our son had a wonderful time! Our guests were all dancing! The happiness in the room was palpable. Mike checked in with my son throughout the event to make sure HE was having fun. And, Mike made the Hora an absolutely unforgettable experience for our family and friends. I cannot say enough about the fantastic job Mike did for us!

DJ Mike was absolutely wonderful from the beginning of the planning process to the end of our event! He was generous in sharing his experience and expertise throughout our planning, helping us to shape our event in a way that fit both the personalities of our children, the "vibe" of the crowd at our event, and the needs of our family. He is warm and responsive, easily accessible through e-mail and willing to meet in person to answer questions as well. Most of all, he was AMAZING the day of our party-- he was able to include and engage a very diverse group of guests, from the youngest to the oldest, and he made sure that every person there left with a smile on his or her face. A DJ can make or break a party, and DJ Mike made sure that our party was an unqualified success. I highly recommend him without reservations!

Mike was great to work with! Detail oriented and dependable and enjoyable to work with. Mike was Amazing! We got married last weekend. He traveled down to Annapolis for us and seriously made the party! We had people dancing at every possible moment of the wedding. He is fun and very personable. He is very responsive to every question that we had and was great when responding to guests at the wedding as well.

He planned out our timeline to make sure that the evening went smoothly. There wasn't any little bump at all during the ceremony or reception. Simply put, you can't go wrong!!

DJ Mike on the Mic was fantastic! He met with us several times prior to our wedding to make sure we would have the wedding of our dreams. He really listened to make sure we would have everything we wanted during our wedding, and even checked in with our parents to make sure their requests were included too. He was very responsive in all of our dealings, and during the wedding was best of all. He made sure to get everyone on the dance floor, and really kept the party going. We could not have asked for a better DJ!

Mike was thorough in meeting us and understanding what we wanted in a dj. He was easy to talk to and very professional. Mike did the sound and music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner & reception. In all facets he exceeded any expectations we had--and they were high to begin with. He transitioned from a polka to a modern dance song seamlessly. We heard all of the special songs we had requested in advance and none of the songs on our "do not play." The guests were happy with his attentiveness to their requests. Those that were musicians or djs themselves all complimented us on Mike.

Mike Pachino had our guests dancing and having fun all night long! He was helpful and a pleasure to work with during the planning process. Mike gave us many great ideas to ensure that our day was perfect. We love how he had a link for our guests to request songs prior to the wedding. Everyone said they loved hearing the songs that they requested. Many of our guests also came up to us and told us how great our DJ was. He definitely made our wedding into the party was had hoped it would be!

Mike was awesome. Kept the party fun and special the entire night. He paid attention to our wedding details and schedule and made it so easy to just have the perfect night. Our guests were able to suggest songs before the wedding and he played our entire song list. He was super to work with.

We were married back in March of 2012 and have been meaning to write this review sooner (life resumed as soon as the wedding ended and this has been our first opportunity to write this long-overdue review).

We interviewed many DJ’s before settling on Mike. In making the final decision to work with Mike, we were swayed by his personal attention to detail and enthusiasm and energy towards making the music and atmosphere at our wedding exactly the way we wanted it to be. Mike met with us twice to review all the areas of our ceremony and reception and planned out the strategy of what he would play at each specific time of the wedding. Because we had our entire wedding (ceremony and reception) at the belvedere hotel, Mike was able to bring two different sets of equipment to play at both portions of the wedding. He played music that he helped us select at the ceremony, and then immediately transitioned to the cocktail reception on his other set up in the main room. Mike was great to work with, engaging the guests so that they would dance, noticing when things were getting slower, and immediately playing music that brought people right back to the dance floor. He even let the groom use his DJ equipment and be the DJ for a song!!! Mike was the perfect DJ for us, as he brought excitement and passion to our wedding and made it a incredibly fun time for all of our guests. I would highly recommend mike to anyone looking for a DJ who will give you the personal service, commitment and attention to detail you need and deserve for your big day.

This wasn't a wedding event, but I sure wish I had know him when I was planning my wedding! He is FANTASTIC! He did a party for 100 kids-- promotion to middle school. Mike was engaged with us from the start in the planning, songs, etc. He ran the party!! Great music, games and really engaged with kids-- they loved him. He is Unbelievable! I did not worry about a thing. He even got them all together for a group picture (his idea) and then assembled to walk back to school. I would not hesitate to call him for any event.

Michael Pachino is amazing!!! We have him a spread sheet with about 100 different songs and when to play each song. He was able to get almost all of the songs in and made sure that no one was sitting down the entire time! He is so nice to work with and will accomidate any thing that you need. All of our guest said what a wonderful job he did. We can't wait until we have another function when we will be needing music. DJ Mike on the Mic will be our go to guy!!

Michael was the most professional and helpful DJ I have ever worked with. Between the two meetings that we had at our house, promptly answering the plethora of e-mails that I would send him over the course of the year and then the wedding reception itself, I would highly recommend anyone looking to hire a DJ for any event to hire Michael. All of our friends, and even the catering staff, came up to me at the end of the night to say it was the most fun wedding/party they had ever been to.

Mike is the best! He is involved with the entire process from start to finish. He helps coordinate your time line, offers suggestions for music and makes sure everyone is having a good time throughout the night. He works well with other vendors ensuring that your day is perfect. I gave Mike a list of a few songs I wanted played but trusted him to read the crowd and figure out the rest. He did a great job - our dance floor was full the entire night and we received a lot of compliments about him later.

I am surprised no one else has written a review for Mike already! If you don't want to go just off of my review google his business, you will se many good reviews for him there as well. From the 1st meeting Mike was so easy to work with and very accomodating. I will say his rates were more than I had budgeted, but he did work with me on price after our initial meeting. Now that the wedding is over I have no regrets spending a little more than I had 1st planned on for the dj. He was so professional, accomodated all of our requests and offered helpful suggestions along the way. We had a large bridal party (7 & 7 plus flower girl, ring bearer, parents etc) and at the reception he made sure everyone was present and lined up and had everything under control. He made sure we followed the time line we had discussed and kept everything flowing nicely during our reception. He played almost all of the songs on my must play list and did a great job sticking to the style of music we had requested. I would HIGHLY recommend working with him. This is a true case of "you get what you pay for".

Mike was terrific to work with. He made my girls' b'not mitzvah a truly fun and happy event. He is very organized and kept things flowing smoothly. His DJ skills are awesome, the dancers he brought were so helpful in getting the kids and adults onto the dance floor and the props and games were so fun. We also had him handle the music for a "puzzle piecing" ceremony we did and that went off flawlessly! I have only good things to say. He is very busy so we did sometimes have a little trouble connecting in the months before my event but that only shows how popular his services are. I would recommend him to anyone who wants an awesome party!

Mike did a nice job at our wedding, combining a number of different cultures - primarily jewish and latin. it was a fun afternoon. My only recommendation - if you think he might need help pronouncing a name, spell it out. We didn't - our bad!
