Flexible and calm when wedding planning gets stressful!

Mike was a fantastic DJ for our wedding! I'd misunderstood some details he told us about choosing music during our first meeting and only realized it two weeks before the wedding, but Mike was calm and collected, and made himself so flexible that it was as if I'd never made the mistake! He was so thoughtful and kind, and he helped us relax and enjoy our engagement season by being so on top of everything. He was quick to reply to emails and texts, and was so accommodating for meeting up. He was very professional, had everything we asked for for our sound needs, made seamless transitions between the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and had the dance floor hopping all night long! He even got out on the floor and led some of the group line dances in style! I can't recommend Mike enough, he really knows his stuff, and he's an absolute gem.

Incredible!!

Michael Valenti was without a doubt the best DJ we've ever experienced! His music selection was superb and his enthusiasm was contagious. Everyone was dancing and having so much fun. It didn't matter if you were 20 years old or 90...you were going to have a great time!! We hit the jackpot when we chose Michael to be our DJ!!

Best dj ever!

Michael was an absolute joy to work with for my wedding! Music and dancing was really the only thing I cared about, and Michael certainly did NOT disappoint. He kept the party going all night long. I don’t think there was one moment where the dance floor was empty. Besides playing all of the right songs, Michael was so professional, very accommodating, and super easy to reach via text/email/phone calls whenever I needed him! You can really tell that Michael is passionate about what he does, and truly cares about the people he works with and his events. I would highly recommend Michael as a DJ for a wedding or ANY event of you want to dance!!!

Michael was absolutely amazing! We had SOOO many people tell us that the music was incredible and a lot said the music was the best of any wedding they had ever been to. The guests were pretty evenly split between old and young, and he did such a good job of reading the crowd and the atmosphere and playing music that appealed to everyone. Everyone was dancing all night. My dad could barely walk the next day because he was dancing for two hours straight! We didn't give Michael many songs that we wanted or even much guidance on what to play, but just based on the conversations that we had he captured to mood of the wedding and our personalities perfectly. He made the planning so easy and stress free and guided us through everything very smoothly. I am so grateful for everything that Michael did and would recommend him to anyone and everyone for their wedding or party!

This is our third experience with Michael Valenti over the past 2 1/2 years and I'm sure it won't be our last! We had a 60th Birthday bash at our home and hired Michael for the first time. It was an outdoor party under a tent, on a rainy, muddy spring evening. Everything went just perfectly, Michael played music from different genres to keep everyone happy and on their feet. Honestly I don't think anyone sat in their seat for long! Then again for our sons wedding and again for our daughters wedding. Each time everything went so smoothly, with no issues ever! This man knows what he is doing from the first contact, he is very professional yet extremely friendly and easy going and also flexible. And man does he know how to keep a party hopping until the very end. My experience at each party is no one is ready to leave! I would highly recommend Michael Valenti for any event needing the Best DJ Ever!

We interviewed a few DJ's before we met Michael. He was great - not too over the top, not too laid back, just right! We were able to create lists of please play/do not play which helped a lot. He was able to do the ceremony music, as well as the reception right after, at a very good price! He really made the reception a success. Everything was such a blur that day, but I know that a lot more people were up dancing than I expected! He helped out during dances like Cupid Shuffle, showing the old folks how its done! Everyone had a blast!

Michael is so awesome to work with! He works so hard to give you everything you could dream of to make your wedding reception a night/day to remember forever! Our guests danced the night away & kept commenting on how much fun they were having! Michael works with you personally to ensure that the music you want played will be played. There's no surprises with him. He is super nice and always had time to talk to me and give me his expert advice. I definitely recommend Michael to anyone who wants to have a great party and wants to keep people on the dance floor all night!!

Michael was so awesome! He had everyone on the dance floor all night and it was such a fun, exciting night for us. He was very easy to work with and double checked all the important thing is with us. I know every single 5 star review here speaks for itself. But I have to share the story of my wedding. Pretty much all of our friends, and especially the groom and I... Are not the ones to dance, anywhere. We don't party much, and we are the type that usually just hang out at home on our computers. So as you could imagine, we worried about the state of the mood for our daytime wedding. The moment we talked to Michael for the first time though, we were so relieved. I still remember him telling us how he knows how busy and crazy everything will be for us, and that he's got our back. And he wasn't kidding. I had a vision for a particular series of ceremony music that I put together, and with just a quick explanation and sending him the songs, he NAILED it. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how awesome the music was. And when it came to the reception, he seriously was a godsend. Imagine, with the awkward/shy series of friends, there was a point where everyone was on the dance floor having a blast. Seeing my mother-in-law dancing with my granddaughter was also priceless, and even brought tears to the family members' eyes. It felt like a wedding day miracle. He even got on the dance floor himself and that just shot the mood up the roof! He also listened to every single request and even a foreign song we had dedicated to our mother he played at the perfect time. He's a hero in a DJ disguise. If you are fortunate to have Michael Valenti as an option for your wedding, I'd recommend him with all my heart.

Mike Valenti was an awesome DJ! He had our dance floor packed the entire night. I was hesitant at first for the amount of dance time I had allotted for my guests but he made certain everyone was up and dancing the entire time. The playlist he prepared included all of my "must play" selections and was a great variety of groups and type of music I wanted played. I would highly recommend him to other brides. He was worth every penny!

Michael V is a gentleman, a scholar, and a PHENOMENAL DJ. I will recommend him to anyone and everyone.

This is what impressed me:
- Before our wedding, my wife and I used Michael's "DJ Intelligence" account to design everything for our event from song choices, to timeline, to wedding party order... So many details (lol). This resource simplified everything for us.
- I could reach Michael at anytime day or night. Zero communication issues.
- Michael provided CRITICAL guidance as to my timeline and important song choices (i.e. First Dance, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Dance, etc.) I took every one of his recommendations into account.
- Michael kept the night going from our entrance, through dinner, through the dance party with great music. There was never once an issue, an awkward moment, or a lull.

Thanks so much for a night I will never forget, Michael. I'm so happy to now call you my friend!!!!

Michael knows his stuff! He was amazing throughout the planning process and provided us with an extremely organized and easy to use system to select music and plan the reception. He allowed us to plan as little or as much as we wanted, from selecting the entire playlist to leaving it all in his hands. He has incredible knowledge about music right down to the beat rate of each song. His knowledge made transitions between songs seamless and selection of songs perfect to keep everyone up and dancing. He was extremely responsive via email or phone and had great suggestions whenever needed. The dance floor was packed the whole night from one-year-olds to 71-year-olds! My husband and I had NEVER seen our parents dance and we couldn't get them off the dance floor! Michael put everything he had into making the night perfect for us and reflected our personalities completely. He was even out on the dance floor dancing with us! He made our reception better than we could have ever imagined. People are still talking about the music at our reception. We would highly suggest Michael to anyone looking for a reception that all guests are sure to remember for years to come!

We found Michael through a company that had a relationship with our wedding venue. We were a bit lost as to how to choose a DJ without seeing them work. Then we met Michael before finally committing and we knew we'd be in good hands. He is an experienced professional who caters to his audience: you want young and hip, he can do it; you want the classics, he knows exactly what to hit; and if you want him to pick everything he will play to the crowd.

Michael dealt with a massive amount of requests we had ahead of time. Did an excellent job with the Intro's, difficult name pronunciation, and MC'ing. He has fun without ever making himself the focal point of your big day. I can't recommend Michael Valenti enough.

In addition to DJ'ing the reception, he took care of sound and mics for our ceremony where we had an officiant, harpist, and singer. The sound came out great even amidst gale force winds. Thanks again.

Michael was the best!! I received compliments from guests even through the next day on how he's the best dj they've seen and how every single song was danceable. Mike did an amazing job as our wedding DJ! We've been to events where the DJ either makes or breaks the party, so we wanted to be sure we hired a great DJ/Emcee for our big day. From the very beginning, we were impressed with Mike's extensive knowledge, experience and general demeanor. He explained that he'd be happy to honor as many song requests as we wanted (as well as "do-not-plays"), but that he does best when he has the freedom to "read the room" and play songs he feels will appeal to our our unique crowd, both young and old. So that way, everyone gets up to dance! We trusted him and he totally came through. The music selection was great and we saw family dancing that we never thought we'd see leave their seat! Mike also played the funky eclectic music I wanted for cocktail hour, as well as a not-so-common first dance song with my new husband AND a custom track I gave him for the father-bride dance. Our guests just raved about Mike and we were so happy we hired him to emcee/DJ our very special day!

Michael was the absolute best!
One of the main reasons I chose to work with Michael was because of the absolute professionalism his exudes. From our first meeting, Michael made me feel completely confident he would do a great job. He made me feel like I was his top priority, continuously touching base and making sure I knew that I could reach out if I needed anything. I put together a list of songs, but I had such genuine confidence in him that I did not feel the need to go song by song picking the exact order for our reception music. Michael was beyond EXCELLENT for our Wedding Day. Truly. We asked for country and lighter alternative music during cocktail hour, and it was perfect. And, as my mom describes it, "as the night went on, the music got better and better." It was fabulous. Our night was a veryyyy warm evening in September, but that didn't stop the dance floor from being packed the entire time, including myself and my new husband :) I wanted a DJ who didn't need to hear themselves talk on the microphone, and Michael respected my request, he spoke when it was necessary, and was very tasteful and poised.
If you are looking for a DJ, take my word, use Michael Valenti! You will NOT be disappointed!! Not only was he a phenomenal DJ, he is a great person and I genuinely enjoyed working with him!

Micheal was recommended to us through a friend who said he did a wonderful job at their wedding. We had the exact same experience with him. He was wonderful! He took the time to meet with us in person before we signed the contract with him and answered any questions that we had. Several days before the wedding we talked to over the names of the wedding party because Micheal wanted to be sure he pronounced the names correctly. We were super appreciative of this and thought is was very professional and consciences. Have you ever been to a wedding where the wedding party names are butchered? Its awful!

Michael played only the songs that we requested and people were dancing for much of the night. He really helped make our special day come together and was perfect! I would highly recommend Micheal to anyone looking for a fabulous DJ!

Michael was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He played all of the songs on our must play list and incorporated some of his own choices which made for an excellent playlist. Michael Valenti was AWESOME! We had our reception on the Cherry Blossom, and he really had the boat rockin'! I thought we might sink her. Everyone was on the dance floor from old to young. Michael really knows how to keep things moving along, and masterfully worked in some special requests. Many guests came up to us later saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to. A few guests even asked Michael for his card so he could play their upcoming wedding...I sure hope we are invited b/c this guy can make a party!

Michael was extremely responsive to email and phone calls, and was willing to meet as often as we needed to discuss our wedding. He was super personable and took time to explain exactly how he works. I initially had some reservations about playing some of the more heavily played, and in my opinion, cheesy songs during the wedding. In the end, we decided to let Michael do his thing and I'm glad we did. I found myself getting down to a couple of songs I was originally planning to veto. I recommend not messing with his bag of tricks, b/c he is truly a magician!

He accommodated all of our requests, he came down just before we got started to double check pronunciations, and was very tasteful during the reception. Just overall an excellent experience.

I truly can't say enough great things about Michael. We almost would go through the torture of planning another wedding just to have him DJ...almost. Seriously, you will NOT be disappointed if you choose Michael as your DJ.

Michael was tremendous at our wedding, and I highly recommend him.

Value - He is a great value, and was very reasonable in negotiating add-ons after we had already signed the contract. He was also very good at reading the crowd. There was maybe one song in which the dance floor wasn't packed (and it coincided with a photo op involving about half of the guests). Several of our friends have commented on how great our DJ was.

Professionalism - Michael was very well prepared. He asked great questions in advance, and scheduled multiple calls for us to talk through the series of events, what we wanted him to say, what was really important to us versus just a "if you can" request, etc. I have been to weddings where the DJs are incredibly impressed with themselves and they talk too much, make stupid jokes, etc. Michael only spoke when necessary, and when he did, he was well-spoken.

Our coordinator went MIA during the set up for the ceremony, and Michael stepped in wonderfully. He helped our officiants figure out where to stand, helped them troubleshoot a bunch of last minute logistical challenges, and maintained his cool throughout the whole thing.

Flexibility - Michael was incredibly adaptable. We had a guitarist play before the procession. The flower girls and I were supposed to walk down the aisle to the same song, but our coordinator signalled the kids too early. Michael could have very easily been confused, but he adapted quickly, and nobody even realized that a mistake had been made.

Overall, Michael gets my vote and whole hearted recommendation. His attention to detail (aside from his spelling ;-) which doesn't even matter when you're a DJ) was just wonderful and made for a seamless, wonderful evening.

Michael Valenti is the best DJ I have ever worked with. My now husband I and moved from NYC to the DC area where we choose to have our wedding. Having planned many events in NYC for my work, I have worked with many professional DJs and musicians. Michael is top notch and is extremely professional.

From our many phone conversations and then our in person meeting, my now husband was very impressed too. He made us feel very comfortable in his skills to read the crowd and play appropriate music. Not many people may know, but Michael is a musician himself and knows every song he plays and lines them up based on their beats per minute, creating a solid flow of music.

He had everyone on the dance floor from the beginning of the reception at 7pm all the way to our Karaoke hour starting at 10pm and ending at 11:30pm. I know Karaoke is not an usual wedding thing to do, but my husband and I love to Karaoke and Michael was super great about working with us to make this a possibility and a huge success. Our wedding reception turned into a 80s Rock and Roll party that people are still talking about a month later. No one could believe that all of the children and grandparents were still dancing their socks off at 11:30pm.

If I am planning another event in the DC area, Michael will be the first DJ I call. Thank you Michael!!

Michael Valenti is the best DJ you could ever hope to find! He got everyone at our wedding onto the dance floor and they stayed on the dance floor the whole night. Many guests came up to us later saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to, largely in part because they had so much fun dancing.

From the first time we met Michael to discuss our wedding, we had a great feeling about him. He is extremely knowledgeable in his craft and super easy to work with. He accommodated all of our requests, navigated difficult name pronunciations, and was always available to answer our questions. He also had fantastic suggestions on which songs to play at what times and how to structure the flow of the reception. We gave Michael the leeway to select pretty much all of the songs played throughout the evening, and the dance floor was rockin'!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about DJ Michael Valenti. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for the best wedding DJ EVER!!!! :)

Michael was a fabulous DJ and we would definitely recommend him to others! He was lovely, friendly, organized and listened to what we envisioned for our wedding from the first time we met, through our email correspondence during our engagement and followed through on all accounts during our wedding! The dance floor was packed the entire night and our family and friends continue to share what fun they had during our reception! Michael not only ran our fabulous party, but set up and ran our ceremony and cocktail hour (all three in separate spaces at the museum) seamlessly! I loved that Michael had online planning tools for my husband and I to use during our engagement to share the evening's timeline and request music. Mike is a nice guy who cares about the wedding experience of you and your guests. He is open to meet in person, is very responsive to email and takes phone calls. He doesn't just put on music and walk away, he reads the crowd and really customizes the night. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire night and we have Mike to thank for that!

Michael was a Great DJ for Our Wedding!!!! He was very responsive to phone calls and emailed us regularly with updates or suggestions for the wedding music as well as met with us free of charge to make sure everything was perfect. He was very flexible, in-particular, we used several songs that were not in the mainstream. He was able to locate them and incorporated them at just the right time. Michael truly made our reception a party! My grandmother was dancing to JayZ and didn't even realize it!! He is very professional and makes sure everything goes perfect and smoothly but doesn't make it a big show about himself. He is truly gifted and a professional at what he does. He is an artist at getting everyone out on the floor to have a good time. The dance floor was packed the whole time. Not only that but he is a truly good person, he puts his heart into what he does. He is a great value as well. I recommend him very very much! You will be so happy with your party if you book him!!!

We heard about Michael Valenti through a recommendation and couldn't have been more thrilled with his performance. On the wedding day, his execution was absolutely flawless and he certainly did not have an easy task at hand. Because of the way our venue was structured (2941 Restaurant), Michael had to set up music equipment in three different spaces (ceremony space, dinner space, and cocktail / dancing space) in the span of an hour. For cocktail hour and during the reception, Michael did a great job of making the right announcements at the right time with the correct pronunciation of names. In addition, we had to move people between dinner and dancing spaces quite a few times, and Michael made sure to make these transitions very seamless.

Most importantly, Michael kept the party going all night long! I couldn't believe it, but everyone was dancing the whole night and having a blast. Our crowd was having so much fun that we decided to extend the reception by 30 minutes and Michael was nice enough to gift us that extra 30 minutes, which we appreciated very much!

To make sure the wedding day is as smooth as possible, Michael does a fair amount of preparation months before the actual event. We had originally booked Michael about 7-8 months before our wedding day and from the beginning, Michael was a true professional. In the early months, he took time to talk us through logistics, planning, and timing via multiple calls and emails. Picking our song lists were super easy via his DJ Intelligence technology, which allow you to easily preview and then create "must play" and "do not play" lists.

All in all, my wife and I were thrilled with Michael's level of service and his value is unbeatable. Most importantly, everyone had a great time and thought he did a good job. I even had a few of my friends (who will be getting married in the next year) ask for Michael's contact information to inquire about him being the DJ for their weddings.

Life of the Party!! We were hopping right til the end, from kids to great grandparents. I've never been to a party so exciting, and am so grateful it was at my own wedding. Michael knows his stuff, really scientific, down to song categories by beats per minute appropriate for any moment. We gave him a rough idea of what we wanted, plus a few special songs to weave in, and he did it perfectly, even personally stepping out onto the dance floor to lead line dancing! You'll never find a better DJ.

We met with several different DJs and when we met with Michael we knew instantly that he was our guy. He was so genuine and personable during our first meeting and absolutely lived up to every commitment. He was in contact with us several times leading up to our wedding and reviewed the key items such as song selection, timeline and names with us in order to make sure he had everything covered. My husband was VERY pleased that he did not play a single song from the do not play list (even when requested)! We are still getting compliments on how great the music was and how much fun they had dancing. There was not a single idle or 'down' moment throughout the party... everyone was on the dance floor having a great time.

Thanks so much Michael. You helped make our day as perfect and fun as we hoped for :)

Attention All Brides... Michael Valenti is 100% A-MAZ-ING! Seriously stop searching right now and book him! At our reception I danced to EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. I kid you not. Because of him you can actually relax and *gasp* have fun at your own wedding! If you want a professional DJ who plays all your favorite songs, who respects your do not play list, is not cheesy and interrupting, knows how to feel the mood of the crowd and keeps the dance floor packed, always returns your phone calls and emails (and even just checks in with you to say 'hi' from time to time), knows EVERYTHING about music and how to blend songs seamlessly, will work hard to find that random obscure song that you just have to have for your first dance, cake cutting, etc., is flexible and just goes with the flow when the timeline of your reception gets all mixed up and off-track, has a very cool easy-to-use online system for selecting music that you can keep updating as you plan the wedding... he is literally everything you want in your DJ and ridiculously affordable. Michael is a genuinely nice guy, fun, energetic, personable and puts so much care & attention to detail into your reception. He's on his A-game and will double-check pronunciations of names for your bridal party entrance, etc. I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. He is a headache-free vendor-- you never have to worry about him not showing up or making good on promises. When you look back after all the wedding dust has settled, you can pat yourself on the back for making that call and having Michael be your DJ. You'll be so glad you did!

As a DJ and musician myself, the decision for entertainment at my wedding was top of the list in my mind. I interviewed countless jocks and bands and just didn't feel comfortable with any of them. Then, a friend of mine turned me on to Michael Valenti, or as he called him Mikey V. From first meeting I knew that this guy was the one. He was very responsive to all the kinds of music we are into regardless of whether or not it was a hit song or a playable wedding song.

Michael has an online database of all of his music that makes the process incredibly easy. You literally go onto the website and click on songs you'd like to hear and (most important for me) songs you DON'T want played!! He was very helpful thru the whole process and even gave suggestions for songs that might fit well with a certain theme.

Not being much of a dance guy myself, I gave Michael full control of the dance music. Let me tell you, that floor was packed all night long. He has a great understanding of tempos and logical progressions of music so that people just keep dancing!

Honestly though, the thing that thrilled me the most about him was his calm and friendly demeanor. Being in the business myself, I have to admit that alot of my fellow mates don't always have the best temperament(BIG EGO's!) and don't always go above and beyond for the guest experience. On the day of our wedding the caterer had arranged for a day-of-wedding organizer. Unfortunately, she was a scatter brained mess who was panicking and seemed completely lost the whole time. Michael stepped right in and controlled the whole night and most importantly kept my wife at complete ease the whole time. I am forever in his debt for that one!!

I have honestly never written a review of any one before. That alone should tell you how impressed I was with his service. Absolute top of the class. Thanks again Mikey V!!

DJ Michael was awesome; there is no other word to describe the quality of service and his skill. He was able to work with our wishes and was very accommodating to not only our tastes in music, but also those of our wide variety of guests. Michael possessed a quality I have found to be very rare in such providers and that is adaptability; he was able to seamlessly cover up a mistake made where my wife and I reversed the order of bridal party entry without him knowing and he was able to come up with quick solutions to potential lulls in activity by providing a constant flow of lively music. I can't thank him enough for his services; as I told him, if we could give him six stars we would not hesitate to do so!

Michael was such a great vendor to work with throughout our wedding planning process! We found out about him through a friend of a friend, and he was such a big part of making our wedding such a huge success! The entire place was on the dance floor literally the whole night. Michael played great music and was able to incorporate all the songs on our requested lists. He has such a great personality and really wants to make your wedding a fun party. Michael as great to work with for our wedding. He was very accommodating , helpful and offered great suggestions to make sure our special day was everything we wanted. During the reception the crowd was on their feet dancing the entire time. The dance floor was packed!! It was very important to me that everybody was up and having fun, and that's what it was. Myself and my wife Jen had the pleasure of working with Michael Valenti as our official wedding DJ a few weeks ago. However Mike was anything but a body behind a soundboard and speakers.

Mike was recommended to me from a friend who recently had Mike work his wedding. Mike was very prompt and responsive regarding phone calls and face-to-face pre-wedding meetings. It's said that "success is for those who prepare for it". Mike's interactive music software was user-friendly and worked very well with what Jen and I had planned to put together.

As previously said Mike was more than just a DJ. He wore many hats from the beginning, to the prime time, to the last dance which I'll never forget. In addition to the music, Mike was able to act as a time-keeper which was essential to Jen and myself having the time of our lives. Not having to worry about the schedule, we were able greet our guests, take part in the many activities and cut the rug!

We all know not everything goes according to plan. During the wedding Mike was very open to the one or two "audibles" that were thrown at him. Like the pro that he is, Mike took it all in stride with giant smile on his face. You see, not only does Mike do a fantastic job, you can tell he's genuinely having a great time doing what he does.

Once again three cheers to Mike. We would invite anyone to hire Mike for any event of significance, or if you're just getting the gang together for a night of karaoke.

Michael was originally a referral from my father (also a musician). Of all the recommendations folks had made to my wife and I, this was one of the few that was spot on. Michael's background as a musician is probably a good reason why we liked him so much. We also got to leverage his industry connections - he was able to also refer our guitarist, Jerry Lynn (an awesome vendor, but thats for another review).

Michael has been doing this a long time and it definitely shows in his professionalism, his knowledge of various venues, established relationships (knew our venue coordinator very well), discretion (no idea he was there setting up until it was time to party), ability to cater to our needs (he's definitely not one of those pushy DJs that in my mind ruin weddings by talking incessantly), and read the crowd.

Before we signed with Michael he setup a meet and great, which we were sorta surprised about because we didn't expect a DJ to do so. However, it was a good opportunity for him to understand our personalities and the type of reception we were trying to have. He also showed us all the planning tools available to us, all online. It was really easy, we just provided a timelines, wedding party info, introduction info, music, etc, all through his website. Most importantly his planning tool had a DO NOT PLAY list. He also has a very calm personality and we never felt pushed, he was just really agreeable and accommodating.

Every person at our wedding was on the dance floor all night long. My wife and I and all of our guests had an absolute blast at our reception! That is the sign of a good DJ. He started off with the Horah, slid into music that kept older guests on the floor (while not alienating our younger guests) and quickly transitioned into a full-on dance party. Was the night's music geared towards us? Yes. Did any of the older guest care or mind? Nope. They just kept dancing. 6 months later and everyone still talks about the fun they had.

Michael did a fabulous job as DJ at our wedding. We could not have found a better guy for the job. He was willing to meet with us on multiple occasions, quickly responded to all emails, and made last minute changes without hesitation. The music selection was amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor for hours. We wanted to ensure that all age groups at the wedding would have a great time dancing and Michael did just that! Michael's music selections for cocktail hour and dinner allowed people to mingle without people having to shout over one another. Thank you for an unforgettable night! We had the best time dancing!

So sorry for the delay but I knew I couldn't NOT give DJ Michael Valenti a proper review on wedding wire. DJ Valenti was more than we hoped for. We had met and interviewed a handful of DJ's and after our meeting with Michael, we knew he was the one. He's very friendly, quirky and KNOWS HIS STUFF! He had us at BEATS PER MINUTE. We decided to meet somewhere in between his home and our home which was a bit out of our way, but worth it. We had a mix up with locations during our final meeting a week before our wedding but Michael made the drive and met us where we needed to be.
Michael was very accomodating with all of our asks from piecing together music at certain time counts to speeding up or slowing down songs so that we could see if it worked with the pace of our first dance. Michael followed my wedding day plan to the T and had the crowd dancing the night away.
We also found out last minute that we needed a mic system for the ceremony and Michael was able to jump right on it for us! A+++ THANKS DJ VALENTI!

DJ Mike Valenti absolutely rocked! We wanted a very classy reception but we also wanted LOTS of dancing. DJ Mike was able to pack the dance floor with a great short set to get all the guests excited and ready to party directly after the first dance. Then, during dinner, he played great mood music to match our classy expectations. After dinner he really got the party going using his own music theory formula.
DJ Mike knows music through and through (just check his website for proof) and he used a beats per minute formula to tailor make a party mix that kept the dancing and fun going through the whole reception. He also uses great online applications that really help in planning the schedule and flow of the reception.
DJ Mike's value and expertise is top notch, and we would recommend him for any special event.

To be honest, I was hesitant about hiring a DJ, because I wanted our wedding to be informal and laid back, relaxed, intimate and classy. I thought I was an "i-pod playlist" kind of bride ;) And besides, all I had known of wedding DJs were the loud and obnoxious. But I was referred to DJ Mike and our fears subsided when we met with him to learn about his service. There is an honest twinkle in his eye and his love for music and his passion for his work was a ray of sunshine into the gray winter day. His calm yet enthusiastic energy was uplifting. He was exactly what we had hoped to find in a DJ, someone who would honor our wishes and wedding dream with enthusiasm and without judgement. There is no ego when it comes to DJ Mike Valenti. And he was a dream come true on May 12th. I've tried to put our satisfaction with our experience into words but they don't do it justice! DJ Michael Valenti was an awesome DJ for our wedding! He had the dance floor packed and everyone had an amazing time. We could not have hired a better DJ. Everything was perfect: getting people seated, introducing the wedding party, making announcements, transitioning the reception to the different events (from speeches, to father daughter dances, to cake cutting), and getting people onto the dance floor. He had the perfect mix of music, blending and transitioning the songs perfectly to keep the party going. Everyone told us that our wedding was a blast and the music was great. He really turned our reception into a great party. He also kept us relaxed during the music planning process. After meeting with him, we knew the reception would be in great hands. Michael was AWESOME! Many of our friends and family who attended our wedding have given wonderful compliments to our DJ!!!

He met with us three times prior to the wedding, and was willing to meet as many times as we wanted. He responded quickly to any email or call that I made, and was so easy to work with. Michael was incredibly accommodating to our needs. Any special requests that we made were done :) He really helped my stress level go wayyyyyy down!!

Michael did all of the music for our ceremony , cocktail hour, and the reception. At all three, he played the perfect music!!!

We had to extend our reception an extra hour because the dance floor was still packed when it was supposed to end!!! Michael didn't even bat an eye when my dad asked him to play for another hour.

I would really like to thank Michael for doing such a wonderful job. I couldn't have been more pleased with his performance! He knows how to read a crowd!!!! I would absolutely recommend Michael Valenti!!!!

Michael Valenti was absolutely flawless. He made the entire process from start to finish easy and stress free for me. He paid attention to the little details that matter, for example making sure he said everyone's name correctly. The timing of the songs were perfect for the entrances. The music, flow, and style was perfect. There was a little bit of everything from every genre. Michael Valenti was terrific! He provided music for the entire event (ceremony, cocktails, reception). We requested several songs earlier for him to play at certain parts, which he did! He's very responsive by email, and we were able to send everything to him. He looked very professional, dressed in a suit and all. For the reception, we mostly let him do whatever he wanted. We told him the kinds of music we liked, and what we thought guests would like and he totally rocked it! We had a day wedding, too and people were dancing! One of our friends requested an Indian bhangra song, which he actually had and played!

He made sure it was okay if he played group songs beforehand, and I okayed the cha cha slide and cupid's shuffle. He was not shy about getting on the dance floor and showing the people who didn't know how to dance. He also took the time to learn everyone's name for the introductions! Our parents and bridal party had asian names, indian names, and french names, and he learned them all and did a very good job pronouncing them!

Lastly, he was able to work with our budget. We found a price that could work for us and for him. He was very friendly and approachable. He's a really good deal!

We loved having Michael as our DJ! We wanted a fun, upbeat, party for our wedding celebration, and he set the tone perfectly with our music. We also had a friend performing a live song for us and he was excellent at making sure that his sound quality was just right. He got everyone dancing on the dance floor all night long which was just what we wanted! He played all the songs we requested and knew how to perfectly gauge the crowd for when to have a slow song or an oldie. We are so glad that we chose him for our reception!

Let me start off by saying I am a bride who is very hard to please and very specific in my music taste. I could not believe how much FUN I had at my own wedding. Michael created the PERFECT transition of songs and the dance floor was packed the entire night!! I danced the whole night away - you couldn't pull me off the dance floor (and I'm not even really someone who dances much).

Michael played every single song on our list and even put up with our (many) last minute changes. He was so great about not giving in to anyt requests for songs on our "do not play" list.

Leading up to the wedding, Michael's communication was great and he kept us on track for deadlines for playlists, and even met us for coffee so we could get to know each other. I really feel like Michael took the time to understand our taste and to explain his plan for transitions of music to make sure we were on board with everything.

We have great pictures from when the groom and I pulled Michael into our photo booth :)

The party was so much fun, the venue even let us continue on for an extra hour and Michael was great to be flexible about extending his contract on the spot.

I can't wait to have a big party so i can hire Michael again! I reccomend him for any event!

DJ Mikey V was way more than a DJ for us on our special day. In a sense, he turned our special day into a work of art by combining professionalism with flexibility and a true feel for the vibe of the crowd. His genuine interest in our special day was evident in every aspect of his work.

Mr. Valenti worked closely with us to script the reception from start to finish, helping to fill in tracks with his own personal touches along the way. This kept the drowd going at a wedding with diverse age groups and musical tastes.

He was also pinpoint accurate on our complicated introductions and intricate musical plans for each aspect of the reception. Throughout the process, Michael Valenti was easy to contact, and always worked with our best interests in mind. He took the time to establish a personal relationship with my wife and I, and it made a huge difference on the day of the ceremony.

In the end, Mikey was so effective and entertaining that he picked up a few additional wedding gig from friends of mine who are getting married later this year. I look forward to partying at another of his weddings soon!

Going into the wedding planning, I did not realize how difficult it would be to find a DJ who was skilled and friendly, but not cheesy. Out of all of the wedding vendors I researched and met, finding a DJ who matched what we were looking for was the most difficult. We thought we would have to compromise our expectations until we met Michael. Immediately we could tell how knowledgeable he was about music and how much he truly cared about us and our wedding. When we first met, he played some songs and showed us how he would mix the songs together based on beats per minute. He then talked about his technique in getting people of all ages up on the dance floor.

Michael was true to his word. On our wedding day, we had a wide range of ages on the dance floor at any given time--from my 5-year-old nephew to my friends in their 20s to my parents in their 60s and to my grandparents in their 80s and 90s! They were all dancing and having a great time. Many people had told me that a DJ could make or break a wedding, but it wasn't until I was there and looked around and saw how much fun everyone was having that I truly understood. Immediately after the wedding and over the past 7 months, our guests are still commenting on how awesome our DJ was. They said he played the perfect mix of music that all age groups could relate to, and I would totally agree!

Back to the planning process, Michael remained in communication with us from the time we selected him as our DJ to the actual wedding day to make sure that everything was how we wanted it to be. He allows his clients to use this website that lets you select what songs you would like played and what songs are on your "do not play" list. Using this website was great because it made me confident that Michael would have a good idea of what music we liked (and did not like) and would make things run more smoothly. It did just that.

We are so glad we chose Michael to be our DJ. Thank you for helping to make our wedding day such a success!

We have to say that DJ Michael was one of the most professional and
responsible vendors we hired for our wedding. We were coordinating our
wedding from the opposite end of the country and he was very reliable
about contacting us before the wedding, coordinating the reception
schedule, and meeting with us in person several times before the
wedding.

What appealed to us about DJ Michael is that it was obvious to us that
he has a real passion for his profession. That passion translated into
a flawless reception. At one point during the evening he even stepped
out onto the floor to lead our guests in a dance. We couldn't have
asked for more that day.

Michael was great to work with. He was always professional, but has a great personality. Loved the online system that he uses where you can look through and pick songs for Must Play or Don't Play, and where you enter all the event and timeline info. I loved that for certain typical wedding dances, there was a section for the most popular songs, which definitely helped when picking out some songs! Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the type of music played, and were all very impressed by Michael.

Let me start the review by saying I FREAKING LOVE THIS GUY! :)

I had originally looked into hiring him, but he was slightly out of my price range. As such, I hired this cheap DJ and instantly regretted it. You get what you pay for, and it was clear the moment I had signed that contract. Michael and I had initially really hit it off, so I emailed it to admit I had hired someone else and really regretted it. After canceling the crappy DJ, I hired Michael and am so glad that I did. From the start, he was absolutely amazing. I felt like I was talking to a friend rather than a vendor every time I spoke to him (don't get me wrong, he was professional, but he was also very personable).

Michael was the quickest vendor to respond to my questions, and trust me--I had a lot. I used his services for the ceremony, cocktail reception and reception. We had very specific music we wanted, and he happily took our long list of requests... and even sat on the phone with us for 20 minutes explaining why he would recommend certain songs for the dinner instead of reception. That type of service is above and beyond.

During the wedding, I can honestly say I have never in my life seen a dance floor that packed. I even went up to the photographer at one point and told him to get a long shot of how packed the dance floor was--I was so happy everyone was having fun! There were a couple times two slow songs were played back-to-back and literally everyone left the dance floor when the second one started, but I blame it on myself for requesting too many slow songs.

The next day, I met my parents for breakfast and the very first thing my dad said was "Good job hiring the DJ. He was great. Give him good reviews!" I even had someone ask me for the playlist so they can use it at their wedding!

Make sure you hire this guy. I PROMISE you won't regret it!

Words cannot do justice to the FABULOUS job that DJ Michael Valenti did at our wedding, but we will try our best… From the very start, Michael was great. He was extremely responsive to all of our emails and was genuinely excited about providing the music for our wedding. My husband and I met with Michael a few months before the wedding to go over music ideas and for him to get to know us a little better. We met again about a month before the wedding to go over specific songs that we wanted played and then had a final phone meeting a few nights before to make sure there were no loose ends left to tie up.

At first we were a bit hesitant to have recorded music in lieu of live music for our ceremony, but decided to have Michael DJ the entire event from start to finish. Michael worked closely with us to make sure that all of the music played was perfect. He made sure that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception each had a different feel and all of the selections were wonderful!! We have absolutely no regrets about foregoing the live music.

Michael is a true musician and absolutely loves what he does, both of which are very apparent when he is DJing an event. Once the dance floor opened up, our guests danced all night long! He knew just what to play and when to play it. Nearly every single person has mentioned to us how much they loved our music and a few people have asked us for a CD of the wedding music. We’ve had a number of guests say that our wedding was the best that they have been to, and Michael played a huge role in that.

Simply put, Michael Valenti is an outstanding DJ and we highly recommend him to anyone! Michael, we cannot thank you enough for all that you did!!

Michael was amazing! He was very supportive and responsive during the planning phase of the wedding and far exceeded my expectations on the day of. He provided me with guidance as far as timing of the ceremony and reception, which was a huge help, because I had absolutely no idea how everything was going to fall into place. Michael did a wonderful job as the DJ for my daughter's wedding. The music was perfect - for the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the reception - EVERYTHING. Michael Valenti did a fantastic job as a DJ at my son's wedding on October 15th at Fauquier Springs Country Club. He spent an inordinate and unexpected amount of time talking with the bride and groom in preparation for the event and needless to say the wedding came off without a hitch. He's the best I have ever met and I've been in the music business for years. As father of the groom Michael's professionalism, his on-time arrival (arrived very early), and calm demeanor meant the world to our family as we had confidence that he would be the best we could find. And he didn'd disappoint us in that respect. He's a gentleman and takes his role as DJ very seriously to assure those who hire him that he will do everything he can to guarantee success with the music and the program for the evening. Mike Valenti was an AMAZING DJ! We had him DJ our wedding last month and could not be happier with how he ran the reception. He handled each transition very smoothly. He was extremely entertaining and fun. He made sure to play songs that everyone loved...it was a non-stop dance party the entire night! After the reception, about 15-20 people commented to me that Mike was the best DJ they had ever seen at a wedding. Everyone loved him and I could not give a higher personal recommendation. Michael provided music for my entire wedding day: ceremony, cocktails, and reception. I suggested a couple of songs for each event to give him an idea what kind of feel we were going for and he ran with the rest. He also went through to double check with me he had the correct versions for the different songs I wanted to use, and worked with my hired dance group to have their performance song played at the reception. Mine was a daytime wedding so getting people onto the floor is an uphill battle. But he was still able to pull it off and eventually got guests off their butts and onto the floor--even my mom who does NOT dance (I will admit, I found this both fascinating and horrifying at the same time). He is not an over-the-top cheesy DJ, nor does he stay in the corner the whole time--a good balance, interacting with the guests when appropriate. One of the main reasons I decided on Michael was because he offered to meet me in person--I interviewed several DJs and all others preferred to stick to the phone, or reluctantly agreed an in-person meeting can be done if necessary although they really didn't think it was needed. I understand DJs have probably done many many weddings and know the routine, but this is my first (and only) one, so it made all the difference that Michael went out of his way and offered to meet up.

Hands down, best decision we made in respect to vendors for our wedding. Mike is a PRO and it shows in everything he does, whether it is his meetings with you before the wedding to help you plan your day, the easy online tools you can use at home to pick your songs and make a timeline, or the flawless way he leads your reception from start to finish.
It is so obvious that he loves music and dancing and getting people involved and that is just contagious. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and he was so great at taking our playlist and adding his own expertise. He also orchestrates the entire evening, even between other vendors, the reception site, your family, and keeps the night going with all the toasts, pictures, etc.
We can't recommend him enough!

Our parents wanted a big band, we wanted a serious DJ. DJ Michael V is it! His, professionalism, enthusiasm, and experience all came into play. Our wedding was amazing, Michael being our DJ really had a lot to do with that! We were blown away, by his style, and the sound of our venue. The room could hold over 400 easily, and his tunes stretched from corner to corner, sounded amazing. Michael did an amazing job at our wedding! Our wedding was at a country club outside under a tent and it was very hot which could have easily made everyone stay in the inside portion which had A/C (making the dance floor vacant).However, he did an amazing job selecting songs that kept everyone dancing all night. I can't remember a single time that the dance floor was empty. He does an amazing job at building the momentum in the room. There was never a time when a song was played that cleared the floor. Also, he was very professional, responsive and met all of our needs. He kept everything on schedule and worked independently with our caterer to coordinate the night. You do not need to worry because he is punctual and makes things very easy. Everyone had a blast and he delivered exactly what we wanted! I wouldn't have changed a thing. I'd advise everyone who wants a Dj to choose Michael-- forget the band that is overpriced and takes breaks and choose a Dj who won't ever stop your party!!

DJ Michael Valenti made my wedding reception an amazing time. From the beginning, even getting our first meeting under way, Michael went out of his way to make sure everything was easiest for me. He made the process of picking songs and planning a timeline stress free and easy.

During the reception, he managed to play all the songs on the play list, and some more that everyone really enjoyed. The best part is he knew what the crowd wanted and helped make the night a blast.

As any wedding guest will tell you, the DJ can make all the difference in the world in how people remember the reception. After working with Michael, we could not be happier that he was the DJ and MC for our special day - Michael played a major part in making the evening absolutely special and unforgettable.

Starting from the months leading up to the wedding, Michael was professional, informative, accommodating, responsive, and fun to work with in planning the reception. He had great ideas for everything from room layout to entrance songs for the wedding party. He always had great suggestions when we asked for his opinions, but was never pushy - and his experience with both weddings and music was most evident.

Michael had a great selection of music and was accommodating both prior to the big day, and during the reception when guests had requests. He also knew exactly how to read the crowd and play the right songs, at the right time. He played so many songs that accommodated both the young and older crowds, and filled the room with exactly the right type of energy at the different points throughout the night. Michael had the dance floor filled from the end of dinner to the end of the night.

While all these characteristics made him the right choice, Michael's personality really put him over the top. We'd give him 6 stars if we could. Michael obviously cares about his clients, and goes the extra distance to make the event truly memorable for them. For example, he proactively took the time to understand the pronunciation of everyone's name in the wedding party and their relationship to us, to make the introductions more meaningful. That's the type of service that isn't advertised on a website, but makes all the difference in the world in how people remember the reception.

We selected DJ Valenti (Michael) after we attended a friend's wedding where he was performing his DJ services - the dance floor was packed the entire night, and we knew we wanted DJ Valenti for our event as well. We absolutely made a wonderful decision! We were so thrilled with the quality of DJ Valenti's professionalism and service. The dance floor was PACKED the entire night at our wedding - we had numerous people say, "I've never seen so many people dance at a wedding!" He was also skilled with the planning phase -- DJ Valenti included two meetings ahead of the event, had wonderful ideas and suggestions, a very smart online song selection tool, and he emailed me a few times leading up to the event to confirm things, and emailed me after the event to check-in. Michael was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ and did a wonderful job at our wedding. When we were planning our wedding, my husband and I weren’t even sure that we wanted a DJ – I guess we had an image of cheesiness, and we just wanted someone who would be low key. We read Michael’s reviews on Wedding Wire and thought that he might be the DJ for us, and we were right. Michael was immediately very responsive (another important quality), and we met with him and discussed what we thought we wanted for our reception. Michael understood that the music was the most important aspect of the night (rather than talking, introductions, etc.), and we felt very comfortable with him.

Michael's website for song selection is very easy to use, so my husband and I were able to pick our favorite songs; it also guided us to songs we wouldn’t necessarily have thought of by organizing most-requested songs by decade. That way we were able to think through a nice mix of multi-decade music. Michael also had suggestions for us based on the way we described our tastes as well as those of our guests.

On the night of the wedding, we weren’t even certain if our guests would dance, but Michael read the crowd perfectly and used a good mix of songs to get many of our guests dancing and to keep them on the dance floor. He made our reception a ton of fun. We even had people tell us that ours was the most fun wedding that they’ve attended, and Michael was a big part of the reason why.

Michael is not only a wonderful DJ/Master of Ceremony, he is also a wonderful person. My wife and I found ourselves shopping the host of Vendors, but when we met DJ Michael, we knew we wanted him to be our DJ. That was over a year ago ! Since then, every contact, his kindness, his professionalism, and caring, only re-affirmed us of our choice. ON our Wedding day, we wanted to do a special " Cheesy " NBA intro for the bridal party. Michael was a wonderful part of our wedding. When I first realized it wasn't in our budget to get a live band, I was a little disappointed... but after using Michael as our DJ the night of our wedding, I wouldn't go back and change anything. We couldn't have asked for a better night of music and dancing. Michael had everyone (and I mean everyone) dancing. He worked great with our other wedding vendors and was very courteous with us and our guests. You must book him early though, he books up fast!

Michael was fantastic! He was very professional before the wedding, and contacting him for questions through email or phone was never a problem. Michael gave us his professional opinion and helped us with a timeline. We loved choosing our playlist through his website too.
The night of the wedding, Michael had the dance floor PACKED from the first song to the last song! No gimmicky talking or interruptions- just songs! Our guests even danced before salads were served! We had such a wonderful time, and we have heard from all of our guests how wonderful the DJ was that night! People Danced the entire night. My Grand Mother of 87 years old was dancing to Lady Gaga!! I could not believe it. We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding reception than Michael Valenti, he was sensational! He is a true professional, and always on top of everything…yet at the same time he is fun and truly cared about making our wedding special. Michael did an AMAZING job at our wedding! We seriously are still getting compliments from friends and family about how much fun they had at our wedding, and we owe a large part of the success of the event to Michael...there were people dancing we have never seen dance nor would ever expect to see dancing! haha Loved seeing my Dad dance best of all!! He also provided the music for the ceremony and was fully prepared to deal with a venue that was a bit awkward to deal with. We were very pleased and thought he was a good value compared with other DJs.

Michael was great on wedding day. He was so easy to work with. He was ready on time and played all of the songs that we asked him to play and did not play the songs that we did not want. He kept us on track so we did not feel rushed during our reception. He got out on the dance to help with the line dances which was great and made him a part of our day. We loved the fact that he played songs for everyone (all generations). Everyone commented and said they were happy with the music he played. He played music that our parents and their friends knew and songs that our friends knew. I would recommend Michael for your event. You will have a great time with him.

Michael Valenti did an amazing job at our wedding reception at 2941. He picked perfect music to play during our dinner reception and followed our timeline exactly. He was flexible and made changes the last minute and helped us come up with the perfect playlist. He did an extremely great job of reading our audience and playing the appropriate songs to keep our guest engaged. It couldn't have gone any better thanks to Michael! Thank you so much for an amazing wedding reception. I still can't believe our family danced at all! Thank you Michael! You rock!!!

Michael was an awesome DJ. Being a musician myself, I am very picky when it comes to music, so I wanted my DJ to be a musician who understands music and its significance to me, not just someone who plays other people's music at a wedding reception. I met several DJs before meeting with Michael, and I honestly thought about being my own DJ at my wedding, but with Michael, I knew from our first meeting that he was going to be great. Michael was extremely nice, unassuming, flexible and VERY PROMPT. In fact, Michael was the one who followed up with me regarding my music preference and arranged for a meeting with me and my now-husband before our wedding day! (And believe me, reliability is the most important thing to look for in any vendor). Also, what distinguished Michael from everyone else I met was his understanding of music as a musician himself. If I recall correctly, I believe Michael studied percussion in college and and still plays with his band from time-to-time (which explains why he was so good with beats and rhythms when it came to the order of music to be played). Michael's online playlist is user-friendly and an easy way for couples to choose their music/songs of choice. As an anal musician with an eclectic music taste and a picky former bride, I highly recommend Michael. You won't be disappointed.

He KNOWS what to play and WHEN to play it! I cannot thank Michael enough for the amazing work at my wedding. The highlight of my wedding... the dance party. Oh wow, we had an incredible time! Michael was so professional, classy, and fun throughout the entire process. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. So professional, an excellent listener, and very flexible. He was so easy to work that with we had him DJ the entire wedding; ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The song selection process was so simple online. I cannot thank Mike enough for the great work that he did at our wedding last month. Our wedding was a success largely due to the great work that he did reading the mood on the floor and playing just the right songs at the right moment. His experience and passion shined all throughout the event. All our guests, even those we never in our wildest dreams expected to hit the dance floor, were dancing the entire night. Our guests were all asking for his contact details after the wedding. That is testament to how much they enjoyed the wedding and how great Mike was.

Michael Valenti was the perfect wedding reception DJ. He met with my wife and I before hand to make sure we felt comfortable before the event. His website enabled us to select the songs we really wanted played, and the others he picked were right in line with our guest list and the type of music we wanted during our party. He made just the right amount of comments and ensured that the mood was right throughout the night.

My wife and I would definitely recommend him to others... we'd use him again, unfortunately we only get to get married once.

We booked Michael practically on the spot after meeting with him for DJ services. He is very knowledgable about his work and wasn't cheesy or a know it all like some other Dj's I had spoken to. I have had several people (old and young) tell me that this was the most they have seen people dance at a wedding. We had an amazing time and I was soo happy to see people out on the dance floor the whole night. He did a great job picking songs to get the older people and younger people to dance. It was a great party and completely lived up to my expectations, actually even exceeded them! I had specifically requested that the last hour of the reception be recent pop/hip hop music (Britney, Black Eyed Peas, etc) and I had requested a few specific songs. Michael did a great job mixing my requests with music of his own choosing and it was a perfect mix to keep everyone happy. I will truly never forget the very last song and looking around to see the whole wedding out on the floor. I did not want the night to end!

We are so glad we booked DJ Michael Valenti for our wedding! Michael's good nature and professional demeanor immediately put us at ease, and we knew we were in good hands. Michael was very easy to contact by e-mail or phone, and also met with us as needed to discuss some of the details in person. He was always very kind and patient with us, and clearly has a ton of experience to bring to the table. He offered suggestions and recommendations when we asked, and uses great attention to detail (he notes the different beats per minute for his music, to ensure seamless transitions between songs). We enjoyed using Michael's website (linked to iTunes), and were so pleased that he really adhered to our lists of "must plays" and "do not plays". He also got ahold of some of our songs that he did not already own. On the day of our wedding, we were thrilled to hear so many of our favorites played, and enjoyed the songs that Michael came up with on his own as well. Clearly, DJ Michael knows what he is doing, and can really read the crowd. He did a great job MC-ing, and was not cheesy or hokey in the least, just upbeat and professional. Everyone had a great time, and we have no complaints - only praises! Michael is also extremely prompt (he prefers to be early), and was eager to coordinate with our other vendors as well, so everything ran smoothly. We would love to work with Michael Valenti again one day, but until then, we will be recommending him to everyone! He will not let you down.

DJ Michael Valenti is awesome! He is very laid and very,very, flexible. Our wedding for almost 3 weeks ago and our guests are still raving about what a great time that they had and how amazing DJ Michael is. He was always in contact with me and all I needed to do was give him a playlist and he shuffled songs around and it was a blast. He even danced with our guest and my mom. The energy of everyone was positive and very high. I highly recommend DJ Michael for any event. I really enjoyed working with DJ Michael and plan on working with him again in the near future. Michael did a great job at our wedding! After we left the reception, we both mentioned how we had hardly even noticed him during the evening...in a good way! We had given him a vague idea of music, along with only a few songs we really wanted him to play. He went running with those ideas and made a perfect playlist for our wedding. He got the guests dancing (even those who "don't dance") without being pushy or obnoxious. Throughout the planning process, Michael was easy to contact and readily available to answer questions and help us out with picking songs for our special dances. Especially in the weeks leading up to our wedding, he called on a regular basis to check in, confirm pronunciation of names, etc. He was very attentive to our needs and desires, and thus we were very happy with his service. We had the pleasure of working with DJ Mike on two seperate occasions. The first occasion was a joint birthday party for my 25th birthday and my fathers 50th birthday. We did karaoke and had a great time. Mike sang along with us and just made the night perfect. As for our wedding, it wouldn't have been the same without him. Just a few days before the wedding, we made some major changes and Mike was able to adapt and pull it all together. We will definitely use Mike in all of our future events, even if we have to pay for him to travel. With his knowledge of music, ability to apply his personality, and the passion that he has to be the best-he was worth every penny that we paid him and more!!! You obviously have a choice, so go with DJ Mike Valenti. We highly recommend it!!

DJ Valenti was wonderful. He gave us a great deal of attention and made every effort to accomodate our vision for the day. Right when we met him, we knew he would be the perfect DJ for us--flexible, kind, receptive and with a great sense of our music tastes. Michael was awesome! He was a wonderful part of our wedding day. He played the majority of the songs we suggested and added ones that fit the mood of the party perfectly. Micheal worked with our crowd very well, and checked with me before he played any outside requests. We had many many many compliments on how great our DJ was. Michael was professional, extremely punctual to all our meetings, very responsive to all our correspondence, very patient, managed the relationship in way that kept us on schedule without making us feel any pressure, and provided an excellent atmosphere at the wedding.
The sound was perfect for our venue, our speeches were easily heard by everyone, and his timing was excellent.
We were very impressed with Mr. Valenti and would recommend him to anyone.
I should also note that our venue was 5 star, and Mr. Valanti's professionalism was remarked on by the venue managers. He obviously worked well with the on site staff to minimize his presence until his services were needed.
In short, Mr. Valanti was a "zero-stress" vendor.
