Amazing DJ for Punjabi Wedding Reception!

DJ Mavi was absolutely incredible! He kept the energy up all night long at our wedding reception, and our guests had the best time on the dance floor. His music choices were spot on, and he perfectly balanced our must-play list with crowd favorites, and Punjabi classics with Top 40 to keep everyone dancing.

We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and would book him again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to create an unforgettable party, DJ Mavi is the one!

DJ Mavi was incredible!!!

DJ Mavi was amazing! He was very responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process! He offered great suggestions and was VERY flexible by letting us focus on what we really wanted for the wedding. His lighting was wonderful! He had a great set-up for the Baraat, Indian ceremony, and Sangeet and had great song selection all night! The MC service was much appreciated and kept everything running smoothly! We really LOVED working with DJ Mavi and would highly recommend him to everyone!!!

These guys were great. They went above and beyond! Our guests loved the playlist. The cloud effect during our first dance and cold sparkles were cherry on the top.. we got many compliments!

Gordon Food Service - Annual Celebration

Gordon Food Service puts together an Annual Celebration for their employees every year held in Columbus Convention Center. This year, we used DJ Mavi Productions for some of our production needs and it was great working with them. I highly recommend them for any production needs. Thank you for your assistant Mavi. Our employees really enjoyed the glow sticks with our Logo throughout the awards and recognition ceremony!

We could not have had a better experience

Justin and I had our wedding this past October at the Hyatt downtown in Columbus, Ohio and DJ Mavi and his team were there for our sangeet, baraat, wedding and reception celebration. Everyone had so much fun and we could not have had a better experience. The team exceeded expectations in all aspects. My parents were very so happy with how the cloud effect and pyros came together. They kept the whole crowd entertained throughout the whole event. I also appreciated DJ Mavi playing the Ohio State song!!!

My wife and I had DJ Mavi Productions for our garba, baraata, wedding and reception and we were not disappointed at all! Dalbir and his team did an amazing job for all events and they rocked the crowd! Great personalities, great music selection, great set up and most of all great entertainment! Dalbir worked with us to ensure he wasn't missing anything and we were completely satisfied. He will cater to all of your needs. I highly reocmmend DJ Mavi Productions for any event! 5 stars for sure!

Great review for a great DJ

DJ Mavi and team honestly made our wedding weekend unforgettable. He was our DJ for all events of the wedding including the sangeet, ceremony, baraat, and reception. He is incredibly easy to get along with and open minded. In addition, he offered great suggestions for the overall flow of the events given his experience in the field. He did a fantastic job with lighting, played amazing music for each event, was able to accurately gage crowd response, and basically kept the party going all night. In my opinion, a great DJ is one of the most important investments in any wedding and I cannot recommend him enough!

Awesome DJ

We hired DJ Mavi for our son's Sangeet party and Wedding. He was very nice to work with and had great advice and guidance on music for our events. Mavi was very entertaining with his music and everyone loved dancing. I highly recommend him and will definitely hire him again!!

Amazing DJ! Highly recommend!

5/5 stars! VERY highly recommend DJ Mavi. Him and his crew go out of their way to make all of your events stress free and unforgettable for all of your guests. He can easily be reached at any time of the day to answer any questions leading up to your event which is always a plus.

We had DJ Mavi for our Sangeet, Baraat, Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail hour, and Reception. Each event he had a unique mix of music and truly did create an environment that was a blast for everyone. He can tailor the vibe of the party and music to your tastes. Not only this, but his lighting and cinematics were incredible. I have gotten countless comments on how great our DJ was and his contact information.

Wedding DJ review

DJ Mavi did our wedding in May and we couldn’t be happier! His music selection is great, he is professional, courteous and timely. Delivers excellent service and is very responsive and will work with clients to give them what they want! Highly recommend. We will be using him again for future events.

The best dj around!

We seen Dj Mavi at many weddings, clubs, and other events. We had to hire him for our wedding. As expected he rocked the crowd of 500 people all night long. We had great experience with DJ Mavi and his team. Not only he is a really good dj but he has really nice equipment too. Hire him and you can’t go wrong.

I’ve seen DJ Mavi at past events so I knew I had to book him for my wedding. Not only did the layouts look phenomenal, the music was the best. He was easy to work with. Any concern I had, he took care of. He wasn’t trying to up sell me like other vendors. He gave me all options and let me decide what I wanted for my special night. My family and friends enjoyed every moment and the dance floor was always packed! He’s very cordial, respectful and responsive. It was a pleasure working with him and I would highly recommend him to others!

DJ Mavi is the best DJ around! All of the guests were amazed at the quality of service we received with him. Everything went perfectly the indoor fireworks the cloud effects, our guests are still talking about it weeks after! DJ Mavi is very professional and inviting, he listened to what we wanted played and kept the party going. He even managed to accommodate our last minute request of providing the screen for our pre wedding video to be played. I can not recommend him highly enough to anyone considering getting married or throwing a party, he is amazing!

We had a fantastic time working with DJ Mavi! He had recommendations which he kindly and respectively suggested, and also took what we said about our personalities and preferences to heart to make a very personalized music experience. People are still talking about our dance floor from both the sangeet party and the reception. I lived in NYC, and I have friends and family from all over the world who have high expectations for DJs and sound systems - DJ Mavi did not disappoint. Please let him know if you have preferences on how long you want songs played. He does like switching it up, which I personally love, but may not be everyone's preference.

We had a mixed culture wedding with a baraat, 2 ceremonies, cocktail, and reception. DJ Mavi was with us the entire day, he really set the mood and did a fantastic job!! We couldn't be happier about going with him. I was on the fence about the lighting package but ended up going with most of it, really happy we did. He was able to provide softer lighting for the ceremonies and reception (which we were looking for), then the addition of the party lighting at the reception really turned our dance floor up! Thank you so much DJ Mavi and company!

I am extremely glad I went with DJ Mavi for my wedding. He was one of the first vendors I booked! He kept the crowd going all night long...seriously my dance floor was packed the whole night! Actually my out-of-town friends were asking me how they could get him to DJ their weddings. He plays a good mix of indian and western pop/hip hop music. He was easy to get in contact with especially a few days leading up to my event when I had a few bride freak out moments and super easy to work with. Definitely a vital component to any successful wedding celebration. I would highly recommend DJ Mavi!

We have used DJ Mavi services for our son's wedding at Hilton Ntherland Plaza hotel in Cincinnati. DJ Mavi has done a fantastic job in managing all events including Barat music with lots of beats and drum, Sangeet day video show plus all dances and songs recital, and wedding ceremony. On Reception day he has excellently planned and executed entry of bride and groom party along with bride and groom. He was so cooperative and professional in providing us the ideas what and how to choose music/song for every events. So thank you so much DJ Mavi. Dalbir was an amazing DJ for our wedding. He listened to every detail I had and made sure to execute it in the best way. He watched my guests and played music that met all the generations, along with my list of songs to be played throughout the events. You can see he’s definitely prepared for your events through the emails and phone meetings that were set. He is personable and goes out of his way to be flexible based on what both my husband and me wanted. I would definitely recommend him for future events.

You can't go wrong with DJ Mavi. He did a wonderful job at my wedding. From the Bharat to the end of the reception, they kept everyone dancing the whole time! Everyone has told us multiple times that the Bharat and reception were the most fun they have had at a wedding and the most they have danced. I still remember the reception night when all 450 guests of ours was on the dance floor! We ended up extending our reception hours, that's how good the party & music was!

This DJ is AMAZING!! I am Pakistani and my husband is Syrian, and we are both American, so having the task of mixing 3 very different types of music was not easy, but DJ Mavi did it flawlessly. Dj Mavi was really professional with his work. He payed attention to the audience and played music that all that the generations on the dance floor would enjoy dancing to. From seniors to kids everyone had fun at our event and there was no break in between where anyone got bored with the music . Definitely would get him again !

We absolutely loved Dj Mavi! He did such an amazing job at our Wedding and it exceeded anything that we have ever imagined. The hall looked incredible after the lighting. He was very responsive, friendly, and not once treated us as "just a client". It was very clear to see how passionate he was about music and his job. The crowd was pumped up and Dj Mavi kept the party going. I just want to say THANK YOU again for EVERYTHING!! Dalbir is just fabulous! He takes DJing as a passion, and you can see that in his work. He can read the audience and play the right music to keep everyone going. You will get tired but you will not want to leave the dance floor. We had a huge Punjabi sangeet and Dj Mavi was able to give the perfect lighting colors to make our event pop. I would recommend Dj MAvi for any desi party! We have been to multiple events where he has been the DJ and we have never been disappointed. DJ Mavi my family's go to DJ :)

DJ Mavi has worked at our family events (birthdays, graduation party, and now wedding) for the past couple years and he's absolutely great. He not only is awesome at what he does and provides the music you are looking for, but he is personable and goes out of his way to be flexible. In such a stressful time, DJ Mavi always will take an extra step to make sure the music and the service he provides is of superior quality. We look forward to have him at our events in the future and highly recommend him to anyone.

We went with DJ Mavi for our wedding in Columbus on May 16th. He came highly recommended from a retired, local DJ and after meeting with him and reading previous reviews, we felt like he was the best option for us. Needless to say, that was a good decision. He was easy to contact, and after meeting him we felt comfortable that he knew what we wanted.

Prior to the wedding he asked for the list of songs we would like to have played, and he was able to incorporate everything (even the more obscure ones) into the night. He even did a special mix for our reception entrance, since we had trouble deciding on what to walk in to.

The uplighting he provided was beautiful, and he had everything needed to fill up a relatively large reception hall.

The best thing you can say about the whole event is that once the dancing started, it never stopped. During weddings, there are usually lulls where people come and go from the floor. I can honestly say that our dance floor never emptied, and everyone had a great time right on through. We got many compliments about the DJ, the choice of music, and how our wedding was one of the more fun dancing weddings that people had attended. We also had a lot of complaints the next week about how people's backs and knees and legs were hurting from dancing so much, so clearly DJ Mavi kept it going the whole night. There were some comments about how no slow songs were played, but to be honest, I think that everyone was having a good time with the music so it didn't matter too much.

Overall, I cannot recommend DJ Mavi enough as a wedding DJ. He did everything as promised, was easy to communicate with, and was extremely reasonable in terms of pricing as well. You should definitely take the time to consider him for your event.

DJ Mavi was absolutely amazing at our wedding! He definitely made our Mehndi night and Wedding night beyond memorable! DJ Mavi rocked our party. In our traditional Indian wedding, he provided great music for all three events. There was never a boring parts in dancing or music for any of the events. Due to DJ Mavi's expertise and reliability, I, as a bride was totally stress-free and could enjoy my own wedding. DJ Mavi did a great job. He provided lighting, mobile sound system, microphones and audio for both an Indian and Christian ceremony, as well as DJ services for our reception. He did a great job playing both American and Indian music. He drove to louisville for our wedding and was on time and ready to go. I couldn't have been happier and would recommend him to anyone!

I am the groom (Harpreet Grewal) sister Maneet, and would highly recommend DJ Mavi for any special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed the sangeet and wedding reception music in Cleveland. The music was appropriate throughout the Wedding, when dinner was being served the songs were calmer while after strictly dancing beats with excellent sound quality. The songs were a mixture from classic to contemporary Punjabi. DJ Mavi was very nice and played requested songs to fulfill everyone's needs. We were lucky to have him DJ thus, we believe he is the best DJ for Indian weddings in Ohio. Please don't hesitate to have him DJ at your wedding, you will not be disappointed. Good luck!

My husband and I just got married this last weekend, and we can not say enough good things about the level of service Mavi provided for our wedding! The music was fantastic, he knows how to work the crowd and give a little for each generation at the party. He was super friendly to us, as well as to the venue and all our friends and family. We hired DJ Mavi for our daughter's Sweet 16 Party. He did an amazing job! He told us not to worry about the dance floor and the music. He said he knew how to read the crowd and would keep our party going. He was confident, approachable, and helped guide us through how to make our night successful. He even helped us select songs for our daughter’s grand entrance and cake cutting ceremony. Our dance floor was packed all night long. If you are stuck on any song choices, DJ Mavi has wonderful recommendations! We highly recommend working with him.

We hired DJ Mavi for two events for my wedding. He did a FANTASTIC job!! We and the guests could not be happier for the services he provided. He mixed and played all the latest songs plus is GREAT at taking requests. This is the second family wedding he has DJ'd for and he was still amazing.

Up-lighting and DJ booth looked amazing!

DJ Mavi did an outstanding job. He was beyond professional and the amount of detail he put into his work was phenomenal. Not only was his song selection superb, but I didn't even have to take the time to provide him specific tracks. He has a great ability to recognize the crowd and play music accordingly. DJ Mavi, also provided up lighting and pattern lighting for the event, which he did a spectacular job with. DJ Mavi rocked our reception! The lighting and music were great! My husband & his brother are DJ's & rarely do they appreciate another - but they raved about him! DJ Mavi was extremely flexible, easy to communicate with and professional. He worked with us tirelessly on song choice, uplighting colors, bharaat, and ambiance that we wanted to create for our special day. DJ Mavi was good, we hired him because of his experience with our family. on the day of the wedding everything turned out wonderfully, everyone danced and enjoyed the music. He was a very helpful and friendly DJ. He made sure my husband and I got everything we wanted. He had up to date music and quality work. I booked him for my sister's sangeet as well. Very professional with his clients. He met with us twice before the wedding to make sure all kinks were worked out. He arrived early to the reception and was setup on time. His prices are very reasonable. I would recommend him to anyone for their next party or get together.

Dalbir was the DJ for our reception.

He did an unbelievable job with the lights. It transformed the room - everyone said really wonderful things about the lights. He was ready with spotlights, and strobes for our entry, and dances.

The quality of the sound equipment was outstanding. The way he mixed the music was very subtle. Everyone appreciated the music. We had an american and Indian wedding, and he played a really great mix of music. He was very aware of how engaged everyone was on the dance floor. He gauged the interest of the crowd and picked the right music.

Dalbir is very easy to work with. He had great suggestions for music, and most importantly listened to what you wanted out of the event. He even coordinated his outfit to the colors of our wedding. :-)

A few friends of mine and my husband did a surprise performance for me, and apparently Dalbir was in on it too. They did an amazing job!! And all our guests said that Dalbir made the reception a huge success.

We loved working with Dalbir and would highly recommend him to anyone.

It was hard to find an Indian DJ in the Cincinnati Area, but I found DJ Mavi, and he did a great job, He can be a bit illusive, but you just have to call him and be firm and he'll definitely take care of everything. He has good equipment and listened to exactly what we wanted, he's def worth it!

Couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Everyone loved the music and the dancefloor was pumping until the very end. He did a great job mixing indian and american music. You never felt that one group couldn't dance because of the song selection.

DJ Mavi is a great selection. His choice of songs and flow during & between them is good.

He was with us during the whole event (baraat, sanjeet & reception) and it was great.

He is also a timely person who finishes his event on time.

Would definitely recommend him to my friends and family if they have weddings coming up.

We hired Dj Mavi for our wedding and reception based on reading several positive reviews. The service was good. However, the main thing which is music and song selection mainly during the reception was very disappointing. There was a lack of popular common bollywood songs that people normally like hearing and dancing too. And the songs he did play were just not crowd pleasers. People hardly stayed on the dance floor it was after putting in multiple personal requests there was some hype. Unfortunately I have to state we were not pleased with our experience.
