DJ Marty was the best DJ we could have for our wedding. He spent a lot of time meeting with us to hone in on the songs we wanted, the schedule for the wedding, and how we wanted the night to go. He nailed everything and it was even better than we could’ve planned. He was always on cue and made the evening a night none of the guests will forget.
His set up made each song sound like we were in a studio and his booth/video board added to the night with lyric videos, music videos, and slideshows he created for each of our dances.
He was very prepared and professional, asking questions we never would have thought to ask and we could tell how much he wanted our wedding night to go well. We recommend Marty for anyone planning their wedding.

Nonstop Hits & Incredible Energy
DJ Marty was absolutely incredible and truly made our wedding unforgettable. From the very beginning, the sound quality was amazing, everything was clear, and set the tone for each special moment throughout the day.
When it came time for the reception, he completely transformed the atmosphere into a full-on celebration. The music selection was spot on, and he kept the dance floor packed all night long. You could just feel the energy and joy in the room, and so many of our guests commented on how much fun they were having.
Marty was professional, easy to work with, and really listened to what we wanted, which made everything feel so personal. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to be a part of our big day. Highly recommend to anyone wanting amazing sound and a true party experience!

DJ Marty was outstanding from our very first introduction meeting. He was the one and only DJ we ever considered going with after the first call with him. He was flexible in so many ways, including mashing up two songs for our first dance! He responded quickly and answered all of our questions with professionalism and knowledge and organization. You can tell he has passion music and LOVES being a DJ! He even went above and beyond to help us with other things on the day of without being asked. We are already trying to figure out an event where we can book him again! We wish we could have danced all night long with him as our DJ. He has an amazing setup, including great lighting, a massive TV screen to roll photos on throughout the evening, and he took some great pictures of the event! We cannot recommend DJ Marty enough! From start to finish, he absolutely nailed it. The music was fun, upbeat, and perfectly curated to keep the dance floor packed all night. Marty had an amazing ability to read the crowd and play the right song at the right time, ensuring there wasn’t a dull moment.
The uplighting was another highlight of the evening. It always fit the mood, transitioning seamlessly from romantic and elegant during dinner to vibrant and energetic when the party kicked into full swing. The atmosphere he created was nothing short of magical.

I cannot recommend DJ Marty enough. From the time we reached out to him until the end of our wedding day, he was amazing. Unfortunately I caught some sort of virus the day of my wedding and we had to change some sequencing of events as I didn’t feel well. He was sooooo flexible in doing so. He kept the music pumping and the dance floor moving all night. If I could give him 100000 stars, I would. If you’re looking for a wedding DJ, just go ahead and reach out to Marty. DJ Marty was fantastic to work with for our wedding at the Ballantyne in January! He was super responsive and shared his extensive experience and knowledge with us, which helped us craft a seamless plan for our reception. He also had previously worked with our wedding planner which made planning and execution a seamless and painless process! Worth the Money!
A DJ was one of the vendors we prioritized in choosing our wedding vendors since they are integral to the flow of the event. While DJ Marty was on the higher end of the DJs we looked at, he was well worth the additional money. He really took the time to make sure our event was exactly how we wanted it and is well organized in his process, making sure he gets everything right, from pronouncing of names to flow of the night. You can tell it is a passion of his and he holds himself to high standards to be great at it. He truly cared about our wedding and put in a significant amount of time and energy prior to the wedding meeting with us and on his own to prepare. We also had some last minute tweaks and changes, and he rolled with them with professionalism. Would highly recommend!

Music was a huge deal for me and my husband during the wedding planning process, and once we met with DJ Marty we were sold. From the get go he understood the vision we wanted for our wedding and was confident he could deliver. He was communicative, knowledgeable and professional during the entire wedding process. One of the best vendors we worked with hands down. DJ Marty knows his stuff and he takes his role in your wedding seriously! Our dance floor was packed the entire evening and the music did not stop. We love Marty!!! He was amazing to work with, you can tell he has such passion for what he does and his attention to detail is immaculate! My husband and I did music bingo which he graciously hosted for us with no questions asked and then when he got the party started everyone was on the dance floor! I knew right away that Marty was the perfect choice for our DJ. He did everything and more. I’ve had so many guests tell me it was the most FUN wedding and I know that’s because of Marty keeping people on the dance floor! Also, we were running behind on time so he stayed 30 minutes after our contract time to keep the night going a little longer. He did this free of charge! I really appreciated how accommodating he was and how I didn’t have to worry about anything. He was organized and professional. Would pick him again in a heartbeat!

Best Music I've Heard at a Wedding
DJ Marty is a rockstar. He is the most professional DJ we could have asked for. He did an amazing job at our wedding. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, but Marty was extremely understanding and patient with us. He not only did an amazing job mixing the music, but he has state-of-the art technology, and acts as a great MC. We got numerous compliments on our DJ on our wedding day, and are still getting compliments today. When initially contacting Marty, he set up a video call with us to go through our music preferences, what we were looking for on our wedding day, and how to best provide us the service we wanted. He finds out what he can provide for your budget, has numerous specialty packages that you can add on, and provides uplighting, monogramming, and more. He has a really impressive screen underneath his setup with music videos on it that goes in conjunction with the music playing. It was super cool and the first time I’ve seen that. My wife and I are really happy we chose to use DJ Marty’s signature services for our wedding, and I promise you won’t be disappointed if you choose Marty either. We go to weddings and always agree that DJ Marty was still the best we've seen! We can't recommend him enough.

My former place of employment hosted a lot of events- corporate outings, birthday parties, weddings etc. The event director always tried their best to get DJ Marty to DJ the event, so I was pretty familiar with the product he puts out. When I got engaged, my fiancé and I knew it was a no brainer to ask Marty. We were originally suppose to get married back in March, but had to make serious adjustments and postpone, thanks Covid. Not only did Marty reassure us that he would make whatever new date we selected work, but cleared his schedule to make sure he was available. Marty works with you every single step of the way, makes sure you are in the loop and know every little detail. He’s communicative, flexible, professional, and knows how to party! Our day was incredible, and Marty played an ENORMOUS role in that! We would recommend him 1000 times over to anyone throwing a party!!! Thanks DJ Marty!!

Personal and fun experience
DJ Marty was a professional from the start. He met with us via video (we are an out of state couple and this was pre-pandemic). He took time to go over every detail of how he does his job. As we got closer to date, the pandemic broke out and Marty was quick to provide updates on his flexibility and what steps he was taking to ensure he could deliver a safe and fun time for our guests. As we got closer, he helped pick songs when we were not sure (for example, groom/mother dance) and provided extra steps to ensure those using microphones were remaining safe. Day-of, DJ Marty arrived early and was on-site to answer any questions and test equipment. The music was fun and people were dancing all evening! He definitely made the wedding! Excellent experience and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Use him if you are in need of a quality, professional and fun DJ!

Marty is a warm and professional DJ who got to know us and our guests personally in able to provide a fun and appropriate evening of entertainment despite a venue change. He jumped in to help with a livestreaming/IT emergency during the ceremony . Doubling as an MC, he was quite entertaining with various games and events during the night. Very Strongly recommend him!

Exactly What We Needed
We would recommend DJ Marty to anyone. He was flexible with Skype meetings and ensuring everything was clearly communicated and good to go. Every time we spoke with him our stress levels dropped 20%. Also, we have been to boring wedding receptions and wanted to keep that from happening. He is the choice to make your wedding go from ordinary to extraordinary. People will have fun at your wedding if DJ Marty is your DJ.

So much fun with DJ Marty!
DJ Marty was an EXCELLENT choice for our wedding! He was very responsive and professional and made the entire process unbelievably easy for his. His enthusiasm for creating a really fun time for us and our guests came through the entire planning process, and we had such an amazing party at our reception. Song selection was very easy, and he gave some great suggestions. He came and set up without us having to worry about anything, and his equipment and everything is great. Marty is super friendly and had a lot of special touches that made our reception so wonderful! Would definitely recommend working with him!

As a certified wedding planner I am always wanting to work alongside vendors who are tops in their field. Marty is no exception when it comes to the perfect DJ. His professionalism is quality at its best, his enthusiasm for what he does is visible from the moment you meet him, his ability to keep the party going with not only music but with his interaction with the guests is incredible. If I must come up with one regret or let's say one negative it would be that I cannot give Marty a 10 rating rather than just a 5. I so would LOVE to work with Marty at all my future weddings!!

Best Wedding DJ!
Marty did an amazing job for our reception! The dance floor was packed all night and people of all ages, from 16-92, had a great time! He did a great job mixing a variety of music to satisfy everyone. The added lighting really transformed our space. I would recommend DJ Marty to anyone!

"Best wedding I have ever been to" was said a LOT
My wife and I got married on May 25th. Marty was beyond the best person we hired for the wedding. He had about a 16 hour day, and it was awesome from start to finish. He was in constant contact in the months leading up to the wedding and rehearsal, consistently checking to make sure everything we wanted was done correctly and with perfection. Hands down 5 out of 5 any day of the week. If you are lucky enough to have DJ Marty at one of your private events, he WILL take care of you and everyone in attendance. Our friends and family are still ranting and raving about the lighting, music, and all of the games and unique ideas he involved with the wedding, and we were married over a month ago. DJ Marty is the best!

I hired Marty to DJ our daughter's wedding reception. He has so many great ideas, is very well organized and kept us all to a timeline. We are not fans of the over-announced party and he accommodated that request beautifully. He used the songs that the couple chose and was attentive to the dance floor - he kept the guests on their feet. Additionally, he was very flexible any time the schedule changed during the event. Marty is so positive and professional. He is wonderful to work with.

DJ Marty was awesome! He went above and beyond talking through all of the little details of our wedding with us, so that he was able to guide the night's events perfectly. He did an excellent job mixing in all of the different types of music we wanted and getting the crowd to dance the night away (which could have been a challenge considering the mix of cultures and ages of our guests). While we didn't think that the lighting package would be a big deal initially, we LOVED how it turned out and are so happy we ended up going with it. The set up of the DJ booth was impressive as well. Thank you Marty - it was a pleasure having you DJ at our wedding!

DJ Marty exceeded all expectations that we had for our wedding. During the planning phase, Marty kept both of us on a timeline to ensure that we had everything ready before the big day. During the wedding, Marty was dressed very appropriately and conducted himself in a professional yet fun manner. The preparation that DJ Marty puts into his craft absolutely does not go unnoticed. He listened to all of our requests and concerns and made our day the best he could possible. He was excellent to communicate with and reflected all changes in a timely manner after our phone consultations. He met us onsite to ensure his equipment could reach the 300+ foot distance to our outdoor ceremony site. He was able to understand our vision perfectly. DJ Marty did an amazing job for our ceremony and reception. He was very attentive in the planning process and made sure all bases were covered and that we had exactly what we wanted. He was the first DJ we met with and we met with 5 or 6 after him. When we found ourselves comparing all the other DJs to him we knew we had to go back to him. He had so many resources available to us to help us pick music and he made sure every big moment had a song we wanted. He was extremely flexible with everything we wanted and took changes really well. He even help me keep the custom vinyls we got from my husband until the day of. I could not be more happy that we decided to use him. He worked so well with all of the other people we hired for our wedding. He had so many people out on the dance floor despite the fact that the AC had went out in the venue and it was incredibly hot. He also made a point to check in with us during the reception. He even moved his fan over to me during dinner because it was so hot. His set up was professional and clean looking and he did not push his business during our reception. His up-lighting is all wireless which made the room look amazing. The quality of his equipment is also way better than any other DJ we talked to. I also liked that we knew exactly who our DJ was did not do it through a larger company and get who every they assign to us. I definitely highly recommend DJ Marty. I had not worried going into the reception and ceremony and I couldn't imagine having anyone else provide our entertainment.

Marty did a wonderful job at our office holiday party with about 320 people. He was excellent at reading the crowd and putting together a great mix of music that everyone enjoyed - we had a lot more people dancing than I expected! Great job playing all the requests we had as well while keeping the flow of the party smooth. He was also great to work with before the event - very responsive, took the initiative in working things out with our venue for setup the day of, and had a thorough list of questions to make sure he was meeting any expectation or request we had. I wish I had Marty for my wedding three years ago!

Dj Marty went above and beyond any DJ duty to provide Tyler and me the perfect day we wanted for our wedding. His knowledge and experience was clearly portrayed from our very first meeting and continued throughout the entire planning process. He worked very closely with our wedding planner and venue director to make the day run smoothly and perfectly.
Apparently there were hiccups during the reception that Dj Marty helped resolve withoug me even knowing and while STILL keeping the party going! (My husband just told me about it while writing this review!)
Dj Marty comes highly recommended. Any couple would be lucky to have him on their wedding day.

DJ Marty was INCREDIBLE!! He put his heart and sole into planning and throughout the day of our wedding. He was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and even did some edits to songs we wanted. We highly recommend him for your wedding!

DJ Marty did a fantastic job with our wedding reception! First of all, in the planning process, he was friendly, flexible and easy to work with. He knew our venue really well, which made things easy. He helped us decide how to lay out the room, along with the day-of coordinator, based on his experience. We planned our wedding in 3 months, so we were sending him updates on the song list in the weeks before the wedding. We also requested a last minute lighting change, and he was very accommodating and understanding. He worked really hard on the itinerary, playlists, and lighting to help us have the amazing, multicultural party that we wanted. Despite not knowing a lot of our music choices, he was willing to work with us and pretty much played everything we wanted. Everyone had a great time on the dance floor! In addition, we specifically didn't want a "showy" DJ and he was perfectly willing to direct things in a low key way. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely recommend him as a wedding DJ!

As a party planner it is so very hard to find a DJ who does it all, is professional and understands what the ultimate goal of the party is. I am a return client to DJ Marty and he has done 6 events for me, providing full lighting packages and DJ services. Marty offers a great value and has an amazing eye for detail. I trust his judgment and his advice is always spot on.
Marty also has a great ability to "read" a crowd, he knows when to kick up the music and the lights to get the party rolling into high gear, this is so important in planning an event, you need to take things off of your plate and focus on the party.
Will I use DJ Marty's services again? Absolutely, he is professional, organized and easy to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone who asks.

I was impressed how responsive he was when I had questions or changes and he was always completely understanding. He really made the night - I gave him some kinds of artists we liked and he took it from there and I wasn't disappointed at all. After I met with him, I chose him as our DJ right away!

Marty will literally "bend over backwards " to make sure your event exceeds your expectations. He's very professional, and yet very personable. The lighting was fabulous, and the music he chose was perfect. Several of our guests commented on how much fun the DJ was! I could not have been more pleased.

DJ Marty hands down was one of our favorite vendors! We absolutely loved working with him! We have no regrets when it came to picking out our DJ. Not only is DJ Marty a joy to work with, but he is passionate about his costumers. DJ Marty went above and beyond our expectations. He is super organized, which helped keep us in line. :) We met with DJ Marty on multiple occasions and even invited him to our house. He is super trustworthy! DJ Marty had us complete a timeline a couple months before the wedding and the timeline was so helpful we ended up sharing this with our other vendors. I am glad it is a once in a lifetime event because it is stressful. Luckily my mom was able to recommend you for our reception needs because you definitely took the stress out of that portion of the day. You really put us at ease during the process, THANK YOU! The first time that I met DJ Marty was when I went with family to meet with him for their wedding. After coming out of that meeting, I said "If I ever get married, I want Marty to do my wedding. When my now husband and I set our date, I immediately connected Marty to see if he had that date available. When he said he did, we booked him. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. Marty was on top of everything, and was the reason why everything went so smoothly. Marty did such an amazing job that I will recommend him to anyone.

DJ Marty was wonderful to work with. He listened to what I wanted and when I was not sure of what to do he had some awesome suggestions. I was an older bride and did not want too much of the traditional things done at a wedding reception and Marty was on board with everything I wanted to make the party as special as I had hoped it would be. I have two daughters and the first thing they said was when we get married we want DJ Marty!!!! I think that in itself is a wonderful statement of his awesomeness!!!!!

Marty was so efficient in setting up/taking down that there was no disruption in our preparations. He communicated prior to the event so there were no surprises. He was so much fun and interacted appropriately with the guests that enhanced their fun. By the time the party was over, he felt more like an invited guest, not an outsider providing a service. He was the ONLY DJ service out of four in the Charlotte area that even responded to my inquiries when I was looking for a DJ. I highly recommend DJ Marty for your event!!!
