More than "Just the DJ"

Finding the right wedding DJ was honestly one of the hardest parts of planning. Most felt either sloppy, overpriced, or suspiciously underpriced, and trying to navigate vague pricing across dozens of websites became exhausting. Ironically, my venue had Lou on their recommended vendor list, and only after we booked him did they finally admit he was actually their favorite DJ to work with.

So what do you get with Lou?

You get transparency, professionalism, experience, flexibility, and most importantly, someone who genuinely feels human, not someone trying to nickel-and-dime you or operate like a “wedding business shark.” He clearly knows this industry inside and out, and that confidence shows in every interaction.

Lou brings an incredible amount of value beyond just music. Between his additional equipment and options, constant communication, self-built website, organization, and overall knowledge, he became so much more than “just the DJ.” I jokingly called him my wedding planner at times because I even ran logistics and timeline ideas by him.

What stood out most to me, though, was how present he was throughout the night. He checked in on me multiple times, made sure everything was running smoothly, and even sat with my wedding party to share stories, all while remotely managing his setup seamlessly.

As someone who proudly considers herself a master negotiator, I can honestly say I never once felt the need to negotiate with Lou. The value he provides for the price genuinely surprised me.

To the next lucky couple who books him because of this review: you’re welcome. I’ll be expecting my finder’s fee in the mail.

Cannot recommend him enough

DJ Lou Paris was the final and most integral piece of our wedding puzzle. He came highly recommended, and from our first video meeting we understood why; his process is thorough, detail oriented, and enjoyable.
His questionnaire helped us answer questions we didn't know we needed to ask, and made the party planning aspect easy.
During the wedding itself he was incredibly professional, attentive and very focused on the festivities, all while being friendly and fun.

Look no further - you’ve found your DJ!

“The DJ is playing banger after banger” - “I’ve never spent so much of a wedding on the dance floor” - “you HAVE to send me this DJ so I can book him for my wedding” - “we’ve never seen you two as happy dancing as tonight”

Just a few quotes my now-wife and I heard during our wedding. DJ Lou did an incredible job matching the mood of our wedding and keeping everyone, from wedding party to family friends to grandparents, dancing all night long.

The ceremony was also perfectly, subtly mic’d so that everyone could hear the outdoor ceremony, and the cocktail hour and dinner music perfectly blended into the vibe of the evening.

And before the wedding, Lou was incredibly quick to communicate, cognizant of our needs, and willing to answer any questions we had.

DJ Lou saved the day! I was recently hired by a colleague whose primary and back-up audio equipment failed. DJ Lou amplified our ensemble and refused to accept our money. He did this for us while serving our mutual wedding client, all without breaking a sweat. Stop reading and hire Lou already

Lou made our wedding about us. From a personalized display on his DJ stand to the perfect music through the entire night. He made sure to take care of us not only through the music but also making sure we were okay and had moments to ourselves to breath and enjoy the night. I cant thank Lou enough for his phenomenal job and wonderful personality. He also saved us an audio recording of our ceremony and a list of all the music from the reception so we can relive the night. He's a tech wiz and has several meetings with you before the big day to make sure everything is perfect. He also went above and beyond when our reception was rained out, moving all his equipment inside and essentially setting up twice. I highly recommend his services.

Professional, creative, sweet... Lou is the best!

My wife and I had Lou DJ our upstate wedding and it was more than we could have dreamed of. From the beginning, he was nothing but professional. He met with us multiple times prior to the event to go over music selection, flow of the ceremony day etc. His website was very easy to use and allowed us to have a large role in our music selection for the day, even for the reception dance portion. Everything was reviewed at least 3 times to ensure there were no hiccups, and also to make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the ceremony day. On the day, Lou came in very early to setup and his equipment was extremely unobtrusive and sounded amazing. From the ceremony to reception (and especially cocktail hour), the sound was fantastic and there was not a single hiccup (even with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour!). His flow through the reception was so smooth - and as a former college radio DJ, his music choice to fill in the gaps between the 'must plays' we sent him were impeccable!!! If you have a big heart for music and want it to be the backbone of any great party while having one of the most professional guys out there - Lou is 100% your guy. Thanks again Lou!!!!

DJ Lou Paris Saved Our Wedding!

Stop reading this review and just hire DJ Lou Paris already! You won’t regret it!

We had the absolute pleasure to work with Lou for our wedding this past October 2023. When the original DJ we had hired through a different company fell through less than three weeks before our wedding, Lou was recommended to us, and he stepped in seamlessly. With just two weeks of prep, he was able to deliver everything we could have asked for and more! He literally saved the day!

Not only did he deliver high quality sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception but he provided the best music that kept our guests dancing all night long. Even with our short prep timeline, he made time for us with several calls to discuss our preferences and gave us the sound, announcements and music that we asked for. He’s organized, enthusiastic, professional and also just a heck of a nice guy!

Throughout the night he would check-in on us to see if we needed anything and how he could make our night even better. He is able to lead the room with announcements and get people on the dance floor but also knows when to let the music speak for itself and doesn’t overtake the moment with too many announcements. He had an innate sense for reading the tone of the night that we wanted and delivered everything we could have hoped for.

If we had to go back to 2022 we would love to have started with Lou as our original DJ, so do yourself a favor by hiring him now for your wedding or event!

DJ Lou Paris is amazing!

If you choose to work with DJ Lou, you will have made the right decision, and we’d like to tell you why. DJ Lou was all of the things you would have on your DJ wish list – he was a fantastic communicator, listened to our vision attentively and helped us to achieve it, accommodated a wide range of musical tastes, and had great equipment. Additionally, DJ Lou went above and beyond to accommodate some unique quirks to our wedding. Specifically, we needed to properly mix a song to match the key of a friend who was singing us down the aisle, needed to find and strip down a Japanese song that was not easily found in music catalogues, and cater to a crowd that was a healthy mix of performing artists and muggles. DJ Lou handled all of these challenges and more for us skillfully and enthusiastically, and our wedding would not have been nearly as seamless and enjoyable as it was without him.

Look No Further - THIS is your DJ

Let me just say...you want DJ Lou as your DJ. From our first phone call to the moment the wedding ended DJ Lou was professional, unbelievably helpful, and talented. He asked what songs we wanted to play, what songs we didn't want to play, and asked a bunch of great questions that we didn't even think of! He even helped me get my shoes on! He was great at communicating with us, our event coordinator and our photographer to make sure the timing of everything was done seamlessly. Most important part is that he knew exactly the right volume for the music while we were eating and during cocktail hour so that our guests could talk to each other. Just as importantly, DJ Lou knew the procedure and schedule of the wedding and was a huge help in guiding us through the formal dances, speeches, cake cutting, etc... We made a ton of great decisions that lead to a great wedding, but DJ Lou was probably the best one! Thanks again, DJ Lou!!!

DJ Lou is a master of his craft and he clearly loves what he does. We’ve been lucky enough to not only attend a wedding where DJ Lou was the MC, but also to have him for our own wedding.

DJ Lou went above and beyond his duty to really understand what we envisioned for our ceremony and reception. Then, when the special day came, he delivered the most epic experience, all while carrying a wonderful, calming, and uplifting energy. There are so many wonderful things to say about our experience with Lou! He is extremely professional and organized. He listens to you and go above and beyond to accommodate your needs! He has an incredible large knowledge of music and that really came through in our wedding since we had a very diverse crowd. Lou exceeded our expectations! DJ Lou is AMAZING! Best decision!

DJ Lou Paris was the perfect choice for our wedding! He was recommended to us by a coordinator at a venue downstate, and he was willing to come up to Albany for the event and we are so grateful he did. He starts communication early and maintains communication consistently throughout the wedding process, has the greatest DJ equipment and technology, and knows how to keep everyone on the dance floor throughout the night!

During the planning process, we were very impressed with DJ Lou’s client portal and the surveys he used to collect information to make sure our day is the best. We loved how much choice we had in selecting songs and sharing our input about certain genres. It was very helpful to be able to plan out and coordinate certain songs for specific moments, such as our entrance song and first dance song. You (and/or your wedding planner) will be able to chat through your day of itinerary with DJ Lou so he understands the plan for the day and how he can support the day with music, audio, and sound. It was his first time working at our venue, so he even came along for a venue tour with us to learn about the acoustics of the space and resolve any issues in advance of the big day. It was really helpful.

DJ Lou also has the best equipment. His sound system and equipment are modern and clean looking. We loved the style of his DJ set up and added put some flowers around it, so it felt like it was incorporated into the decor for the day. He had fabulous wireless microphones and thin, sleek speakers/stereos, and provided tech support for speeches. He also set up really great uplighting to help with the ambiance of the dance floor, and this made all the difference. He has back ups on back ups of all of his equipment, so you will not need to worry about something going wrong on your big day.

DJ Lou is very profssional and personable, providing the right amount of MCing for the evening. He helped get people to and from cocktail hour, shared important info with guests, and kept it light & fun all night. My favorite moment was when someone in the crowd started a "one more song" chant at the end of the night, and we all stayed for an encore. It was just delightful.

He was the best and we can't recommend him enough. We truly loved working with DJ Lou. Look no further if you are looking for a wedding DJ!

The most thoughtful, creative DJ out there!

Lou DJed our wedding at Red Maple Vineyard and absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the moment we started working with him, Lou was detail-oriented, had great energy and immediately put us at ease. The care and expertise he puts into his work was so clear throughout the planning process and our wedding day.

From ensuring the officiant and groom were properly mic-ed up, to timing the music just perfectly, to expertly mixing so many fun songs throughout the evening - we felt so lucky to have Lou guiding the way. DJ Lou is extraordinary

We did not know we needed Lou, but we needed Lou, and so do you. We know that every one of his reviews follows this thread, and are now happy to add to the tapestry of effortless professionalism and FUN that is the DJ Paris Experience.

As so many couples, we set out to plan an event that represented us with as much DIY flair as possible. Not only did Lou respect that vision, he rolled with us as it changed and evolved, right through the party itself. Lou builds a framework around you to give your event the structure it needs, (and all events do need at least *some*,) but builds it with enough flex to respond in real time to the energy your guests and you yourselves bring to the day. He was constantly moving, vibe checking every corner of the room, and adjusting accordingly while projecting the utmost calm and ease throughout the party.

And, lest we forget, the equipment. Everything is absolutely top of the line. We were married in the middle of a field with no electricity- no problem. We were fitted with professional tour mics that let us speak without worrying about people being able to hear, and our processional songs wafted in as if the woods were singing them. Back under the tent, happy conversation worked in tandem with bumping tracks, a feat of sonic engineering that we still don’t quite understand. Lou worked in speeches totally seamlessly. His lighting seemed to emanate from the air itself and accented the florals perfectly.

That’s it. We’re blissfully exhausted after the weekend, but could not wait to leave this testimony in the hopes that other couples/party planners will make the same decision we did.

Amazing 50th Birthday Party

Lou was an amazing DJ for my wife’s 50th birthday party. Having never hired a DJ for such an important event, I had quite a bit of trepidation. Lou, did an incredible job of guiding me through much of the entire planning process, even apart from the music. He is concise, communicative, open and honest. Well worth every penny spent. The night of the party, Lou was conduit to the attendees enjoying themselves, he didn’t become the focal point. There was not corny games, calling out people to dance, none of that. Just a professional, playing a great mix, reading the room and making everyone happy. Exactly what we were looking for.

A Wonderful DJ

We got married a little over a week ago, and Lou Paris was our DJ. He was a pleasure to work with! DJ Lou was very communicative throughout our planning process. We corresponded well through email and our scheduled FaceTime calls. His online platform is very easy to use–we were able to upload all of our preferences, requests, and ideas right to the website! He was very patient with us as we made late additions to our ceremony song list. In the end, he timed the ceremony perfectly and the music was just what we wanted. DJ Lou will be so helpful when working out the schedule of the night. He will be a great MC–enthusiastic and just right to keep your wedding flowing smoothly, but never cheesy or over the top. Overall great!

Working with Lou was amazing! He was a huge help and a great resource leading up to our event. We did not work with a wedding planner so Lou helped us out in major ways to plan our timeline and order of events. One of the best vendor pairings we made!

DJ Lou was one of the best vendor decisions we made throughout our wedding process. When we had our first phone call with him before booking - he immediately made us feel comfortable. Little did we know at that point, we would have to move our wedding 2 times do to the pandemic! DJ Lou was with us every step of the way and never made us feel an additional layer of stress during the re-plans. Fast forward to our actual wedding day this past September at the Senate Garage - DJ Lou handled everything from the music to all the technical set-up needed for the ceremony and speeches. He partnered seamlessly with the videographers and even was able to help us with some last minute mood lighting. Lou was our favorite vendor from our wedding. The dance floor was full the whole night! He was detail oriented, thoughtful, and actually SAVED our wedding from potentially being a disaster due to delays in guests arriving to the ceremony because of transportation problems and issues with set up at our venue. He was calm, COOL and collected at all times. I recall at one point sitting at dinner and watching him taking in the vibe of the room, checking to be sure everything was going smoothly. I was so impressed! He even helped plan a surprise that my husband arranged for me (the bride!). He also has multiple DJ stands to choose from to make sure it aligned with our vision. Best DJ we could ask for!

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding DJ. First off, Lou is a great DJ for any party. His extensive knowledge and passion for all genres of music were evident from our first meeting, and he created the perfect soundtrack for every step of the evening. The dance floor was packed the entire reception, and Lou intuitively knew what to play to keep everyone excited. Just as importantly, he has just the perfect balance of energy without bringing attention to himself.

Lou was more than just a great DJ, but an integral part of producing the whole event. Throughout the planning process, Lou was always available to answer questions about music and all the little details that go along with planning a wedding. The Best Wedding DJ EVER!

When my husband and I began planning our wedding in 2019, one of the first things we talked about was choosing not to hire a DJ. We had been to so many weddings where the DJ makes themselves the center of everything, where they talk over the music, and end up being a big distraction. Once we postponed our wedding due to COVID, I thought better of that decision and I'm so glad I did!

As soon as I contacted Lou, he got back to me (I'm pretty sure within the hour!) and we immediately began to click. DJ Lou worked with us every step of the way to understand our vision for the event, our style and music tastes, and importantly for us, aspects of wedding reception that we liked and didn't like. Lou was incredibly attentive during the planning process and made it easy to schedule appointments to talk about our song choices and schedule of events for our wedding day. I don't think it ever took Lou more than a day to get back to us, and he kept us on target with our other wedding planning as he sent key update emails to us at intervals approaching our wedding date. Lou was always willing to set up additional meetings to discuss and encouraged us to come to him with ANY wedding questions we had even if it wasn't about the music.

On our big day, Lou arrived to the venue incredibly early to set up. He partnered partnered with our caterers and photographers to ensure everything was perfect. He even saved the day when the guitarist who played our ceremony was struggling to get an electrical hookup right at our outdoor venue!

During our reception, Lou had the party going from minute one. He helped to set the mood and made sure that the music reflected the flow of the evening, with softer music to lead into dinner and toasts and the party jams we requested to kick off the actual dancing. Lou is attentive to detail and created the perfect atmosphere for our reception. I am so glad that I changed my mind and went with Lou. He is awesome and you will have the best time if you choose him for your event!

A godsend to all

Without his guidance for all aspects to our wedding along with his unending help I don’t know how it would of gone not only did he have everything set up to work in the multiple areas of the venue but he kept everything running so smoothly. He was so helpful making sure at all times me and my groom were not just okay but enjoying ourselves but remembered to take time to live in the moment. My now husband ended up getting a migraine have through the receipting and Lou was right there keeping everything moving ready to help make sure he and myself were okay and putting us first and I am so grateful he was there

Couldn’t be Happier

More than just a DJ!

During our wedding planning process we thought that finding a DJ would be one of the toughest vendors and then we met Lou. We knew from the initial meeting that we had with Lou, we wanted him to be apart of our wedding day. We were particular about our DJ selection because we didn't want someone who would just show up and play music and Lou was exactly what we were looking for. He exceeded all expectations - he genuinely cares about his couples and to us that was extremely important. We were planning our wedding during Covid and Lou was in contact with us the entire time even if it was just a check in to say hello which showed us how much he cared and during a pandemic you can imagine how stressful it was, but having that support from Lou meant everything. We weren't too particular about specific songs for the wedding day. We had provided Lou with types of music we wanted and he took it and ran and made the night extremely fun. Lou is more than a DJ - he's a compassionate, thoughtful person so if you're looking for just that in a DJ, Lou will fit in perfect for your wedding day! Thanks Lou!

An amazing DJ!

DJ Lou is an amazing DJ and, really, just a great guy to work with! You can tell he genuinely cares about the couples he DJs for and works hard to provide a wonderful day – he certainly did in our case. DJ Lou played at our wedding (September 2019) and was just incredible. The dance sets were all great and he did a great job balancing the musical choices to keep both our friends and our parents' friends engaged and dancing. He truly cares about making sure you have a perfect wedding and every aspect of your day and is so much more than just a DJ! We would 110% recommend him to anyone looking to get married in the Hudson Valley / Catskills area.

Beyond the day of work, DJ Lou was great from the moment we booked his services. He took the time to understand the types of music we liked, what type of day we had in mind, and he really listened and delivered. At many times through the night, we noticed a song that we had mentioned in passing on one of our many calls being played at the perfect time. He gave us great advice on what music to play but also ensured that the music represented our tastes and what we wanted to be played at our wedding. His online forms help you think through every aspect of your day, even things we hadn’t given much thought about (e.g. what song to play when you cut your cake). He knows how to read the room and ensures the party is going the entire night. Also, he coordinates with all your other vendors to make sure nothing is missed and everything is perfectly timed. He also was wonderful when our buses were late and kept the music playing even after the time was up to make sure that the guests were able to keep having fun.

As soon as we had our first planning call with DJ Lou, we knew we would be in good hands. We only wish we could go to another party with DJ Lou!

He was like a supportive mother from start to finish

Now when i say supportive mother i mean he was attentive, focused, he listened to everything we had to say, made us feel like we were his sole focus, and made sure we were ready for our big day.

From the moment we chose DJ Lou he had everything outlined in an easy and direct step by step process. There were automated email with updates of timelines and details that needed tending too but also personal ones that made it feel like you weren't working with some corporate stooge just going through the same old process again and again. We arent super attentive people and tend to slack off but Lou more then compensated for us dragging our feet, when we got in touch with him before the wedding he was ready to bang out all the final details as quickly as possible.

Throughout correspondence he actually tried to get to know us which was nice so on the wedding day it didn't feel like I was talking to a stranger. We needed him to be inside and outside of the venue for how we had things set up and he bounced from one setup to the other fast and easy so nothing ever felt like it was standing still.

Also this guy will have your back. I told him beforehand I do not want to hear "Old Town Road" a single time, and he delivered. My best man, who thinks he is funnier than he is, tried to get Lou to play just the opening to the song just to piss me off for laughs, well he didnt realize that he had to deal with DJ Lou, the DJ who holds the line in the sand. Lou shot him right down like my best man was a creep at a bar trying to take Lou home for the night.

If your have the ability to choose DJ Lou, do it and you wont regret it, and that's the promise of a complete stranger with high standards.

Good DJ at a good price

We had DJ Paris for our reception at our outdoor wedding. We had about 85 guests there in a large tent and DJ Lou was able to combine everyone's song requests and perform the night with ease. It was such a mix of a crowd i was worried it would be almost awkward, but it was done with great professionalism. He made sure all of our needs were met that day.

Best DJ We Could Have Chosen.

DJ Lou was an excellent choice for our wedding. In the run-up to our big day we had a few planing sessions with Lou via video chat. It was nice to connect and see who we would be working with. Knowing what to play at your wedding can seem overwhelming, but Lou was sure to put our minds at ease. He's really knowledgeable in all genre's and would always throw out a few references of artists to make sure he was on track for the music we and our guests would want to hear in any given genre.

On the day of the wedding we didn't even even have to think twice about the music. Lou read the crowd well and made sure they were on their feet. The tone and song choices were exactly what we had hoped for. Lou was also very accommodating and was always happy to ask if there was anything we needed. Overall we couldn't be happier having chosen DJ Lou and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation!

Exactly what we hoped for!

My husband and I hired Lou to DJ our reception and he was nothing less than spectacular. Leading up to the big day he was communicative and attentive to all of our requests, not to mention an overall great guy! On the day of he was prepared and professional. Our entire 250 person wedding was on the dance floor the whole night because of Lou's perfect execution!

Our only comment is that Lou is not as much of an MC as a DJ, which is something that he explained from early on, and also something we had wanted. He made all of the announcements and such, but his goal is to play really good music to keep people on the floor. He did exactly that, and my husband and I unanimously agree that we wouldn't change a thing about our wedding. Thanks Lou!!

Highly Recommend!

Lou was the DJ for our wedding on August 24, 2019. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. Throughout the entire wedding planning process he made himself available to answer any questions we had and gave us guidance on things we were unsure of. When it came to the wedding day he was nothing short of amazing. Two of my best friends had a "rap" performance planned for me that required music. Lou was able to make them comfortable and get them what they needed to make their performance a hit! We were very open to all genres of music and he truly took that and ran with it. We had amazing music during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Almost everyone was dancing! I would highly recommend Lou to anyone looking for a wedding DJ!

DJ Lou is hands down what you want.

Literally, if you are looking for a DJ this is the man you want. My wife and I booked Lou for our wedding and he was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning and one of the best parts of our day. He has an amazing web portal to input/track/plan out your wedding music. You can be as intense or laid back with it as you'd like, DJ Lou will walk you through everything. He makes time to video chat with you multiple times to iron out the kinks and make sure everything is what you want. He mic'd up our outdoor ceremony, accommodated our friends plugging in band equipment, and expertly curated music flow throughout the entire night. We had an eclectic range of music and DJ Lou made it flow perfectly. A lot of our guests specifically told us how great the music was which is a huge testament to Lou. He is a master of his craft and his experience kept our reception timeline on track and we couldn't have done that without him. Could not recommend high enough.

DJ Lou is the best!

We got married at Senate Garage in Kingston, NY in January 2019 and DJ Lou provided the music and audio support for our ceremony, plus of course the music for our ceremony and reception.

He is extremely responsive to inquiries and willing to answer all logistical questions. He has a great deal of experience in the wedding industry and offers very helpful tips and advice.
He will also help you stay organized throughout the chaotic wedding process. You will receive reminder e-mails of important planning steps along the way which is really a lifesaver when you are dealing with multiple vendors and deadlines. He provides a link to an online portal that has various planning documents where you can provide all necessary information regarding your ceremony/reception and music preferences.

Most importantly, he has an extensive knowledge of music and so if you really care about the music selection at your wedding (like we did), you will have some great planning conversations. Overall, we can’t recommend DJ Lou highly enough.

I can't say enough about how great DJ Lou was to work with!! From our first meeting up until our big day everything went so smoothly. Amazing job!!!

We hired Lou as our DJ and emcee for a 5/2019 wedding in upstate NY. From the getgo, Lou put us at complete ease in terms of planning and executing the fun at our event; he scheduled a series of check-ins, encouraged us to fill out forms (in his impressive online system) noting requests, must-plays, do-not plays, and special songs, and he made sure to coordinate with the other folks involved in our wedding so everyone was on the same page. The result was a dance floor that our guests refused to leave, including an impromptu 25-minute dance session that happened before dinner was even served. (Lou also mic'd our ceremony, which was a completely different location and acoustic environment than our reception.)

Ultimately, I can't recommend Lou highly enough! He is extremely technically proficient, has encyclopedic musical knowledge, and really takes the time to get to know (and eventually impress!) his clients.

Amazing Experience On Our Big Day

GREAT music. SMOOTH timeline. BEST DJ ever.

We had all of our big vendors booked except for our DJ, we left that for last. We knew that DJ’s could make or break the entire mood of your big day because we’ve been to weddings where no one is on the dance floor and we were terrified of that happening at ours. After reading reviews and looking at a few websites we came across Paris Creative and I was instantly impressed with how organized the website was. I contacted DJ Lou and he responded in record time, immediately making a facetime meeting date since we live over an hour away from his office. Right from the get go he made us feel super comfortable and listened to what we were envisioning for our day. He has an online portal to browse/pick special songs for first dance, cake cutting, entrances, etc. you could also make payments and there was a timeline of your big day. We were nervous since we like old country, classic rock and 80’s and 90’s rock/pop but knew a lot what we normally listen to isn’t “dancing” music. We started making our own playlist to send to him, but it became frustrating and decided to hand it off to DJ Lou and let him work his magic. We struggled to pick certain special songs because there’s a million out there and he reminded us of some that we love but totally forgot about. We had one more facetime meeting before our big day and we didn’t have a doubt in our mind that it was going to run smoothly because of how organized DJ Lou was. He was very attentive the whole night and as we were going around to all of the tables to thank guests for coming, he kept the music low key and once we were done at our last table I looked up and he was waiting for my cue to start the dance music. We told him people could request songs, but we didn’t want any rap or vulgar music and there was one song that was requested several times, he informed us and we gave him permission to play it. Our guests absolutely raved over the music he played and that they knew most of the songs and he knew when to play a slow song so we could all catch our breath. Overall best day of our lives and we know DJ Lou at Paris Creative helped make that happen. Long winded review and I could go on and on, but for such good reasons!

Lou keeps the Party going!

DJ Lou knows his music. DJ Lou knows how to read a crowd. He worked with us and let us really pick everything we wanted. We went decade by decade giving our preferences of styles and artists we liked those we didn’t (no electric slide please and thank you). He also coordinated with all of our other vendors and made sure everyone was on the same page. DJ Lou is very familiar with the venues in the Hudson Valley/CT area so he will know the best place for speakers to go to get the party rocking. We cannot say enough good things about Lou Paris’ DJ service. From the moment we contacted him to the end of our wedding he provided a five-star service. He immediately returned e-mails, was gracious with his time meeting in person multiple times before the wedding. He created an online system for organizing your event that you can sign in to and tweak at your convenience, he was professional and fun at the wedding reception and played bangers that got the entire wedding crowd into the event, not just a niche group or two. When I began my search for a DJ for my wedding, I knew I had something particular in mind. As a musician, it was very important that the quality of the music and sound be excellent, and that the selections be reflective of us as a couple while creating a positive and fun party atmosphere. I knew in order to accomplish this I would need to either pick out the playlists myself and find someone who would play it for us, or find a DJ talented and professional enough to learn what aesthetic we were looking for and what music we like, and use his experience and judgement to craft a unique experience for us and our guests (rather than the cut and paste playlist at a lot of weddings).

I was lucky enough to come across Lou Paris’s information early in my search, and I quickly found that no one else I talked to expressed the same dedication to achieving our vision. His knowledge and familiarity with music outside of the mainstream was impressive. In our discussions, he provided valuable tips and opinions for how to efficiently structure the schedule and layout of the reception.

Above all, Lou Paris is a nice guy - absolutely a pleasure to work with. He always took the time to answer my questions, responded to my emails quickly, and is reliable and trustworthy. My guests had a fabulous time dancing the night away at our wedding, due largely to the skill and dedication of DJ Lou Paris.

DJ Lou was amazing. From him and my now husband meeting, they got along great and he even offered to do the entire wedding on vinyl. (We didn't choose that option but it would've been awesome!) Lou was easy to talk to, set up a Skype meeting with us and was so attentive with details. We love classic rock and he was able to incorporate that into the fun wedding songs that everyone loves to dance to. During our first dance, there was a lightning strike and the speakers went out (it makes for a great story) but Lou didn't panic, our wedding party kept singing the song and Lou got everything working so fast and we will always remember that. We couldn't have of been happier with our choice to hire Lou and would recommend it to anyone for your DJ needs.

I posted this on google at first, but wanted to share it here too because I feel that strongly about Lou. tl;dr: I cannot imagine a better wedding DJ than Lou from Paris Creative.
Like all weddings, we definitely had our share of difficulties. A bridesmaid dropped out, our venue flip-flopped on whether another wedding would be there early the next morning, and we had to fire our useless planner 10 days before the wedding! But throughout it all, DJ Lou of Paris Creative was there, patient, understanding, and going above and beyond to help us through planning a large, self-done wedding.
Lou was kind, professional, and communicative from the get-go. We did have hesitations after our initial interview because his background and personal tastes lean towards old school r&b (not our cup of tea). However, we are SO glad that we stuck with him. Lou listened to our preferences for music and DJ style (high-octane, in-your-face DJing was not going to fly at our black-tie wedding), and delivered perfectly. He was on cue and en pointe the entire day and evening for both ceremony and reception.
Again, he went above and beyond in helping us plan and schedule our wedding day too. Up front he laid out what we should expect from him regarding communication and planning, and he kept to his promises 100%. Any time we reached out, he was prompt to reply, be it email, phone, or skype. Don't be fooled by his easy-going demeanor: while he keeps the calm, relaxed approach during your day, he absolutely is on top of everything he does for you, and more.
I can't state it enough: Lou is an absolute rockstar. He is a skilled, experienced professional who knows his equipment, and will deliver everything he promises. He is organized, kind, efficient, and an all-around genuinely great guy. On your wedding day, there will be snafus and things that don't go according to plan. If you hire DJ Lou, your sound, music, and announcements for your ceremony and reception will NOT be one of them.

Lou is exceptional. From a musical standpoint we were really happy. For cocktail hour we wanted jazz and folk/americana while at the reception we wanted a completely different feel (lots of 80s and 90s hits). Lou delivered perfectly for both. However, lots of DJs are good with music. Lou was also able to offer additional services that helped us so much and differentiated him from the rest. In a nutshell, he's much more technical than most DJs. Our wedding was black tie with an outdoor ceremony and a tented reception. Lou did an amazing job with our ceremony music from carefully controlling sound levels to providing wireless mics and coordinating with the videographer to provide backup sound. At certain parts of the ceremony, like our butterfly release, I'd chosen music for 'atmosphere.' Lou hit every cue and the music seamlessly faded in and out. Our reception featured two musical numbers. In one, 5 ppl sang live while accompanied by a studio-recorded track of 30 recorded singers and music. In the other, my mother sang live to instrumental background music. Lou did a beautiful job mixing sound for these.

As an MC and just generally as an advocate for the couple, you also can't do better than Lou. He was responsive, professional, very kind, and made us feel comfortable and truly looked out for our needs. He was respectful of the wedding timeline and always came and found me when changes needed to be made (ie. switching the order of toasts). I never felt he bothered us unnecessarily but he also respected our right to make certain decisions.

And here's the kicker. Several of our other wedding vendors commented on how Lou enabled them to do their jobs better, whether it was the videographer saying he'd never felt so supported on sound or the wedding planner saying she never thought she'd get the whole crowd out for the sparkler run but Lou managed to make it happen. So, thank you, Lou. Hiring you for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.

Words cannot even begin to express how wonderful DJ Lou is! Lou goes beyond his call of duty to make not only the music perfect but to make sure the bride and groom are taken care of. Lou became my right hand man the night of my wedding. Our guests continue to rave about the music and DJ Lou knows how to get the party going and knows how to use songs to make transitions throughout night. When we were deciding on a DJ, we didn't really know how to pick. Every one had the same website, with the same songs, and the same services offered. But Lou offers much, MUCH more.

Lou doesn't just offer great DJing. Lou offers a wedding EXPERIENCE. He not only helped us pick our songs and gave us advice on the wedding planning process, he also helped us block out the reception and made us think about details we never even THOUGHT of (such as micing up the officiant during the wedding ceremony).

As for the DJing itself: again, you're not just getting "man and an iPod". Lou seamlessly transitioned between songs, fading in and out so that the party never stopped moving. He also was constantly remotely checking the volume levels of speakers throughout the venue, so that those on the dance floor could keep the party going while those in the surrounding tables could actually HEAR each other talk.

Lou was most definitely one of the best, if not THE best choice we made for our wedding. Highly recommended.

Lou was utterly and totally amazing. I can't even begin to express what an incredible job he did for our wedding. From our first communication, I knew I could trust him completely to take care of all of our audio and music needs, and he went above and beyond my expectations. He is extremely responsive and was open to all of our quirky ideas, including editing our first dance song and going over a script for a Korean tea ceremony. His website is amazing, and guided me to organize a precise schedule for the entire day (which was extremely helpful not only for the audio/music, but for us, our wedding party, and all of our vendors). As anyone reading this probably knows, wedding planning is extremely stressful and it is such a huge relief to have a vendor who responds quickly to emails and is happy to offer solutions to any problems you encounter. On our big day, he unfortunately was stung by wasps as he was setting up the audio for our ceremony and was obviously in pain. Despite this, he was the consummate professional, making sure that our ceremony audio was perfect for our guests, and then performing incredibly well at our cocktail hour and reception. We didn't micro manage the music too much, just shared our preferred genres and a few favorite artists. Our trust in him was well founded - his music choices were perfect. He frequently checked in with us to make sure that we hit all the major points in the schedule and kept the dance floor packed until closing time. He did such an incredible job that our guests even chanted that he should stay and play more songs, but unfortunately our venue kicked us out. :-p My new husband and I both agreed that he was the standout vendor of our wedding. Book him for your event now!

Lou was wonderful! We had a lot of songs we wanted to hear during the cocktail hour which he kindly put together, and then we basically gave him free reign for the rest of the reception to choose what he knew the crowd would like ... and by like, I mean love - all of our guests had a great time dancing the night away! Through our meetings and his detailed attention throughout the process we were fully confident that he would take care of everything - from the wedding ceremony sound/music, to the cocktail hour set-up, and straight into the night of dancing. He kept everything on pace without being too 'in your face' with the crowd, which was important to us. He even juggled a last minute decision to bring the ceremony inside due to weather without blinking an eye because he's literally prepared for anything. Overall, Lou was the absolute perfect DJ for our wedding and we were thrilled with our decision to work with him! THANK YOU, LOU!!

Lou was awesome. Organized, helpful - he went above and beyond our expectations of a DJ.

Lou’s website was clean and classy and that same aesthetic translated perfectly to our wedding. Another reason we chose Lou was his communication. He responds promptly to emails and questions, while also not pressuring you to choose him. Lastly, his prices were very competitive for the area.

Pre-wedding, Lou was exceptionally organized. He sent us periodic emails to keep us on track with planning, and was always available to answer any questions we had about the wedding - whether music related or not. We met Lou via Skype and his demeanor was super friendly, confident, and relaxed. He listened to what we wanted for our wedding, and offered advice where we asked for it. He got in contact with our other vendors to coordinate sound/timeslines/etc. and make sure that everyone was on the same page.

On our wedding day, Lou arrived early to set-up. We had him DJ both our ceremony and reception. He helped to organize the bridal party and instruct them in their entrances. We had discussed the type of music that we wanted Lou to play prior to our wedding day, and Lou stuck religiously to our request. Other than discussing genres, we put the control in Lou’s hands, and he kept the partying going all night. We had a solid 2.5+ hours of dancing, and everyone was EXHAUSTED by the time the night was over because the energy was so high the whole time. Lou would periodically check-in with us to see if there was anything we needed. Honestly, it feels like we should have paid him as not only as DJ but as a Day of Coordinator!

It was an amazing day, no small part in thanks to Lou. I would absolutely recommend him for anyone’s wedding or other special event, as he is amazing, experienced, classy, and most importantly knows good music and is willing to work with his clients to ensure that their vision is fulfilled.

Can't recommend Lou enough. Organized and in touch without being pushy. Willing to help customize to your heart's content. We had lots of special requests and he accommodated us all along the way. My husband and I are huge music fans but not huge dancers and we wanted to find someone that would help guide our cocktail style reception. We were looking for someone who really understood our love of music that didn’t fall in the top 20 charts and also wasn’t a crazy hyper Emcee style DJ.
Lou is, simply put, the best at what he does. He LOVES music and you can tell from the amount of work he puts into the Skype meetings with his clients, the forms on his website that help him learn about the people he’s working with and his unbelievably easy going day-of-event demeanor that he truly cares My husband and I are laid back people and finding a DJ who felt right in with that vibe was priceless. Two major thumbs up for Paris Creative and we would recommend him in a heartbeat.

WOW, where do we start! My now Husband and I are more than pleased with DJ Lou! He went above and beyond to make our special day perfect! Lou was extremely easy to work with, a great personality & always prepared! Very important qualities to have at a wedding. From allowing us to choose our own dinner music to preparing his own awesome music choices for the reception, he was on top of everything. He even took a few requests from guests that we enjoyed as well. My favorite part was that he was able to accommodate my brother & I in performing a surprise song for my husband (in which my husband loved). My husband and I used a very complicated process to choose our DJ - we set up calls with three highly rated DJs one after the other on a Sunday, looked at each other after the calls, and said, "We are going to work with Lou." It was unanimous. You can just tell when you are going to work well with someone, and Lou from the start was friendly, professional, listened, and had a sense of humor. We could tell he understood who we are.

And we never regretted that split second, gut decision. Lou was incredibly responsive to our questions and he was in touch with us to keep us on schedule in making decisions. His web portal was incredibly easy to use and a great way for us to give Lou all the information he needed. He made sure to confirm that he understood everything we wanted every step of the way and we appreciated it.

Now for the wedding day. It was a freakishly cold day during an otherwise unseasonably warm fall. How do you keep people warm? A down and dirty dance party. I don't think I stopped dancing for 1 second and I freaked out in excitement over each song. We had two separate dance sets, before and after dinner, and Lou nailed them both. My friends told me after that they've never seen so many people on a dance floor at a wedding.

Beyond the party, Lou kept the day running seamlessly from the pre-ceremony and ceremony music (we had a special touch during our kiss that Lou nailed), cocktail music, and dinner music. He knew and kept the schedule of the reception going - the speeches, special dances, introductions.

Anyway, I could go on and on about how great Lou was. If you want to work with someone who is a professional and yet at the same time just a great guy that will know how to make your wedding just the way you want, work with Lou!!

Lou was amazing!
Lou was extremely helpful through the whole planning process. Was super quick answering e-mails and helpful with helping us identify music selection, which spoke to us as well as our guests. Lou worked closely with the other vendors, making the process seem effortless to us. He had an excellent handle on the guests, in terms of what to play and what not to play, to encourage a great dancing crowd. He was excellent and level-headed, helping us out with last minute changes with live-music vendors.
People say music can make or break the party. Lou not only made it, but took it to the next level! Graham and I wanted to thank him very much for helping us create our most special night musically awesome!!

Lou was such a pleasure to work with. After speaking with a few cheeseball DJs, he was so laid back and down-to-earth, which was the vibe we were looking for. Communicating with him was extremely easy. He was so prompt, and went over all the details, making us feel very comfortable leading up to the day of the wedding. His online interface is very helpful and easy to navigate. Lou was a fantastic DJ. He kept people on the dance floor all night without being overly present or cheesy in any way. DJ Paris Creative is awesome!! My husband and I got married a few weeks ago and Lou was the DJ for our reception. From the first meeting, we knew he was the real deal- genuinely interested in making our event exactly what we envisioned and what we wanted. Lou was super helpful every step of the way- flexible and convenient schedule meetings, very quick responses to my numerous DJ and various wedding related emails, and assisted in planning the timing of the entire reception. The website DJ Paris Creative uses is extremely user friendly and was a great help in planning every aspect of our reception. I am a somewhat anxious person, but by the time our wedding day came, we knew it was so well planned out that we had no worries and just enjoyed the day (as we should but I have heard a lot of brides said was not the case for their own weddings). We chose the professionals we did for reason, right?!?! We had a mix of ages and interests at the reception, and we decided to be selfish (as we should be) and play the music we wanted played. Lou was excellent and kept the cocktail hour exactly as imagined with our music choices, he cut the music at perfect times (for a bride who actually doesn't like to be the center of attention for the beginning dances), and his professionalism the entire time was definitely worth mentioning. Lou was so good at checking in with us (seeing if we are enjoying our selves, things that had to be changed at a moments notice, and keeping us up to speed on necessities) while almost not existing and promoting the day to almost run seamlessly without the DJ taking the spotlight (the biggest pet peeve of my husband and I). Added bonus- no hidden fees, completely spells out the prices on his website and quite affordable. I cannot rave enough about DJ Paris Creative (Lou) and would definitely recommend him for your next special event!

Lou was fantastic. He was super helpful leading up to the wedding and was great. He played during our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and right into dancing. He helped with the pacing of the night, took requests well and we ended up keeping him nearly 2 hours later than we had scheduled because people were dancing so hard. He stayed late even though he said he had an engagement the next day. We really appreciated it and had a wonderful wedding, due largely in part to Lou!

When planning our wedding, we wanted to be sure that the day was fun, festive, and all about celebrating with family and friends. We wanted the music to bring people together and were looking for a DJ who would use the music to get people excited. Paris Creative did this exactly- using his subtle MC style to make the big announcements and make sure everything stayed on course, while letting the music speak for itself. We had a full dance floor the entire night and almost couldn't get people to go home! Lou was easy to work with throughout the whole process (we were 600 miles away!), used a great computer program to keep us all on the same page, coordinated with our venue well, and made sure that all our big moments had the perfect soundtrack. He even came early to make sure that if we needed a back up sound system, he would be there to provide it.

We couldn't be more thrilled with Paris Creative and recommend Lou so highly to anyone who is in need of a DJ! Our guests are still raving! You won't be disappointed!

Lou was an absolutely phenomenal DJ and we are so glad to have hired him for our wedding. He facilitated smooth transitions throughout the night, from upbeat introductions to our live first dance performance, toasts, dinner, dancing, cake cutting, the bouquet toss... he's got everything covered.

His responsiveness throughout the planning process was great, as well. The personal planning website is easy to use and helps the bride and groom to customize the music styles, song selections, which special events to include and which to leave out, order of events, etc... Lou was always timely in answering texts, phone calls, e-mails etc. and was flexible with Skype meetings when we couldn't meet in person.

On the day of the wedding, he helped us to entertain our crowd of 250 guests flawlessly. Everyone had a blast, the dance floor was never empty! He even extended the reception one hour longer on short notice.

Lou, you were a pleasure to work with and we can't thank you enough for helping to make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be and more. We would absolutely recommend this vendor to anyone looking for a great wedding DJ!

There isn't enough space here to give my compliments to Lou! He responded to my every email within 10 min, including changes the day before! He even checked in with us throughout the wedding to make sure we were happy and ask if he could do anything for us. Start to finish just a very professional and fun person to work with!!! Would absolutely recommend!

Paris Creative is not just for wedding receptions. Earlier this year Danbury Audi was tasked with launching the all-new A3, with a unique set of criteria and very specific requirements for the launch party. I've known Lou for a long time so I knew he would be the right DJ for the job. Lou helped us, not only with music and general sound, he hooked us up with a lighting expert who brought in some high tech lighting, and between the pair they were able to set the right mood for our event. Additionally Lou was very responsive to our guests requests and to change the music from what was prescribed to what people actually wanted to hear.

With events like this music can really set - or sour - the mood. Paris Creative was pitch perfect.

Paris Creative/Lou was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. The website made our song selection process fun and easy. The execution of our picks were perfect. Lou has a way of reading the crowd which made our wedding a great time for all!

Lou was great to work with from the very beginning. I am a fussy person with lots of questions and he always handled everything with a great positive attitude and a smile. We had 2 meetings before the event and we could have had more if that was my request. Lou was always available and willing to answer questions and give suggestions. His response time to emails is immediate!

On the day of the wedding we had a ceremony location and a separate reception location, Lou pulled in an extra helper to make that happen, along with equipment to add the element of music to every minute of our special day.

I typically find DJ's (radio DJ's specifically) to be annoying, pushy, arrogant - Lou is the opposite of all that. He is kind and easy to get along with.

I would 120% recommend Paris Creative to anyone planning a wedding or party. In fact I hope to use Lou for future family events!

My husband and I give Lou a loud, happy, full endorsement! We are music people, and wanted a DJ who was too, who would add music we loved to our special day. Lou could not have been a better choice.

He made a wonderful contribution to our wedding and was a calm, pleasant, dependable professional who listened to us and got it right. He played great casual roots-rock cocktails out by a lake with additional outdoor speakers (some of my favorite music of the night), DJ'd a jazz piano dinner, and played great dance music that kept people on the floor. He was also a totally tasteful and flexible MC, esp as my family threw in a few surprise presentations.

He had requested a full plan for the night and helped keep an eye on that in a way we really appreciated. Lastly, he offered great value - Lou's build-your-own-event pricing let us pay for what mattered to us (more hours of music) and not for what didn't (lighting, etc). We can't recommend him highly enough!

We were very happy to have hired Lou as our wedding DJ. He was extremely helpful during the planning process. The site that he provided to make requests was easy to use, and he was incredibly responsive to all of our questions. And we do mean incredibly responsive -- he responded to many emails within the hour. He played the songs we requested and also balanced our (numerous) requests with those of our guests. He made a point of asking us when the requests of our guests seemed different from the plan that we had established prior to the wedding. He managed the overall activities of the night smoothly without calling too much attention to himself. Overall, we were very happy to work with Lou and would definitely recommend him to other couples!

Lou of Paris Creative was great to work with throughout my whole wedding planning process. During the wedding he really kept the party going. He really took the planning seriously, and so many people complimented me on his DJ skills. My wedding was a total success, and he was a huge part of it!

Lou did a great job with our wedding. We had a pretty customized set of requests, and Lou was happy to cater to them, making our experience perfect. He was very professional, but much like a friend, which was comforting given the more intimate feel of our 60-guest wedding. If you are looking for someone reliable to spin some music to dance the night away, I recommend Paris Creative.

Lou Paris was awesome from the start! When we initially reached out, and throughout the process, he was extremely prompt, thorough, and courteous in all communication. Then, about one month before the wedding, on a Saturday, he made a 90-minute drive in order to visit our venue and discuss setup with our event coordinator at no charge. On the wedding day, Lou ran the show, coordinating with the venue staff and photographer flawlessly and professionally in order to coordinate all parts of the reception. One of our favorite things about Lou was how he handled the end of the reception. At all weddings we have attended, the last song ends, the music stops, and the lights go on. However, after our last song, Lou left the lights low and played techno music while he started to pack up his equipment. This was a small thing, but we really appreciated it as it didn't feel like we were being instantly pushed out! Several guests commented on how competent and together he was. In short, he was affordable, professional, and a pleasure to work with!

When we first started planning our wedding reception, we thought we’d never be able to find a DJ who could bring coherence to our eclectic tastes, much less one who could do so for a reasonable price. From the beginning, Lou was available, professional, and adaptable. His website proved extremely helpful—we used it as an organizational tool not just for music requests but for all of the reception events. During the reception, Lou made things run smoothly from the start. Throughout the night, he was perfectly responsive to requests, anticipating what we wanted even before we articulated it. Thanks to him, our wedding turned into a raging dance party, for which he was kindly willing to perform several hours of overtime!

Music makes a party, and in many ways, Lou Paris made ours. We would definitely hire him again for future events, and we highly recommend him to all.

We are so glad to have hired DJ LouParis for our wedding and reception on June 15, 2013! He did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable DJ experience! From the first e-mail sent, right up until the last dance, LouParis was a delight to work with. Wedding planning can get really stressful, but working with Lou made us feel at ease as he takes care of as much or as little as you ask him to. He was professional and extremely accommodating throughout the planning. We never had to worry or have any doubts about him as he made himself readily available to us whenever we had questions or requests no matter how custom they might be. Lou was glad to personalize any detail that would make the day all the more special for us, even editing my processional song to fill the time it took to walk down the aisle! We had all sorts of music styles and guest requests, & Lou kept the music flowing beautifully from start to finish. The dance floor was filled the whole time with our guests showing off their "best moves". Music is a major staple in any of our family events and Lou provided the soundtrack to an evening that will not soon be forgotten.
DJ LouParis was an amazing addition to our perfect day, and I could not be more thankful to him for making not only us feel special, but our guests as well. If you are looking for exceptional DJ service, Lou is your guy to make it all happen!!

Paris Creative saved our wedding!
We had hired another DJ who backed out a week before our wedding. Our worst fear was that we would have no music! We found Creative Paris on a website and read some impressive reviews. By an act of God Lou was available. He met with us immediately and I was impressed by his professionalism. We asked for a range of classic rock , classical, 80s rock, country and modern dance. He nailed it all. Smooth transitions and he met every request. I'm still getting compliments from our guests!

Working with Lou of Paris Creative was a privilege and a joy to say the least. He was attentive and very helpful. His rates are affordable and within reason. Thank you SO much for making our wedding of 10*11*12 the best wedding ever! Everyone is raving about the music played during the entire event. So much so, people are asking me if they can get a CD made of the music. You blended in songs I didn't even know could be blended. The Jazz cocktail hour was AMAZING and if that wasn't “creative” I don’t know what is. I look forward to using your services again in the future. Lou was great to work with! He was friendly and responsive throughout the whole process. He took a lot of information from us to ensure that he knew exactly what we wanted; he was interested in understanding the style we wanted for our reception and was flexible throughout the planning process and on the day of.

In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we had a video call to review the information he had for us. We were very specific in our vision for the night and he took the time to listen to us. We communicated that we wanted very little formality/ presentations, lots of different types of music, and overall we just wanted to keep people on the dance floor having fun. We had a lot of music we wanted to include and suggested sending some Spotify playlists for him to review.

On the night of the wedding, he arrived on time and was well prepared. Throughout the reception, he followed everything we had discussed and was flexible to us making changes as we went along. He adhered to our requests and consulted us when necessary throughout the night. He kept people on the dance floor and everyone had fun. I do wish he had played more from the playlists we had given him (or the "play if possible" section of the forms he asked us to fill out) as there was tons to choose from and we had spent a lot of time on it, but he did play all our "must plays" (5 were allowed) and kept it within the genres we liked. And he kept the reception moving/ organized and kept many people dancing, which is what really matters.

Overall, we had a great experience with Lou. We enjoyed working with him and would recommend him!
