We hired DJ Khiladi / Swara Sagar for our engagement ceremony this year, and they were absolutely fantastic! They were incredibly prepared, super helpful throughout the entire process, and extremely responsive leading up to the event. We had a last-minute change of plans during our event, and they handled it effortlessly, pivoting without any stress or hesitation. The music, the vibe, and their professionalism truly elevated our celebration. We would 100% hire them again for future events! Highly recommend! -

Sanjay was our DJ for a surprise 25th wedding anniversary for my sister and brother. Since the 1st day we interacted with him, he was simply the best. He knew what we wanted and worked with us to deliver an unforgettable evening. Swara Sagar was very communicative and professional. We used him to set up audio usage at the Loews Hotel and InterContinental for a couple wedding events for my sister's wedding. He was so nice and easy to work with, provided a clear understanding of how his DJ services would be utilized. He's also worked at these venues, which made it easier for both us and him. -

DJ Khiladi (Sanjay) is a phenomenal DJ with impeccable attention to detail. From the moment we asked him for a quote for our wedding weekend (keep in mind this was nearly two years ahead of time) we knew he was the right person to handle sound and entertainment for us. Sanjay took extensive notes during our meetings and asked insightful questions which stimulated better planning for each event. Starting with our sangeet, Sanjay worked with multiple family members to plan surprise games and performances, and helped mix music professionally for choreographed dance performances. Our family members couldn't get enough of working with him! Then, we must talk about the wedding ceremony. Our ceremony was a very traditional Tamil Hindu ceremony and there were many nuances and details which required extensive planning and education for everybody who was involved. Sanjay did all the learning on his own, spoke with family members to ensure every tradition (especially with specific songs at specific times) was carried out sincerely, and was instrumental to ensuring all of our guests knew what was happening throughout the ceremony. Finally, the reception could not have happened without DJ Khiladi's input. His experience with other couple's weddings was extremely valuable when we were trying to decide how to structure our reception as a whole, including introductions, speeches, and dancing. Sanjay was a great sport as well, and worked closely with family members who had extensive planning involved in their speeches. Overall, we could not have picked a better person for the entertainment package the whole weekend than DJ Khiladi. Not only is he an excellent DJ and sound engineer, but he is an excellent person who was instrumental to the success of our wedding. -

Sanjay was our favorite vendor to work with for our Indian (Gujarati/Tamil) engagement ceremony! His communication in the months before the event was excellent, including regular emails and phone calls as necessary. He went above and beyond to personalize our experience with him, visiting our venue ahead of the event, and promptly responding to our many questions for him.
During the event, Sanjay was flexible and able to adjust as the itinerary changed on the fly. From helping to coordinate multiple singing performances, playing the dhol during garba, and mixing Tamil and Hindi songs for our open dance floor, Sanjay went above and beyond to ensure our event matched our vision.
We highly recommend him for any event. Thank you so so much Sanjay for making our event successful and memorable! -

My husband and I hired DJ Khiladi after being recommended to him. DJ Khiladi spent more hours than we ever thought a DJ would spend on talking to us, getting to know us, and meeting with us. He responded to all our questions and requests while giving his honest opinion the whole time. He put in the time and effort to ensure everything was the way my husband and I wanted it for the garba, wedding, and reception. During the events, DJ Khiladi did a FANTASTIC job. He was willing to make schedules in the schedule as we needed him to and kept the crowd on the dance floor the entire evening! We are glad to have hired DJ Khiladi and highly recommend him! -

DJ Khiladi + his team were absolutely amazing. DJ Khiladi put so much time and care into our wedding--above and beyond what we would have ever expected. From the dhol at the baraat, to the live music performed at our cocktail hour, to the open dance floor, our guests raved about the music. Also, the sound quality and volume were perfect (DJ Khiladi is a sound engineer, so he knows what he is doing)! And finally, it was truly a pleasure to work with DJ Khiladi, who is very kind, thorough, and friendly. We hope we can work with him again and will recommend him to all of our friends! -

Truly, the best, easiest decision of our wedding was working with Sanjay. He made planning a remote celebration (during COVID no less!) easy, fun, and stress-free. We were planning a multi-cultural, multi-faith wedding that followed our intimate COVID wedding. Sanjay nailed the vibe with our lightscape and DJ set. He helped us to set the mood from our ceremony through the last part of our reception and captured every single part of our vision - welcoming and elegant through dinner and a proper party after. One of the absolute best parts of our night was Sanjay out on the dancefloor, playing dhol while friends from across the globe got down on the dance floor. With Sanjay's help, friends cut together dance mixes for custom performances and gave us the dance party of our lives! It's a party that we and our families are still thinking, talking, dreaming about!

We were referred to Swara Sagar by our wedding planner as having a DJ that could provide the fusion wedding experience that we dreamed of was very important to us. Sanjay traveled to us in Iowa and provided everything that we had dreamed of and more. He helped us out from beginning to end. We had several planning meetings to make sure that he understood our vision. When it came to the day of the wedding, Sanjay was there to set up and we had nothing to worry about. He coordinated the sound with our musician and officiant for our outdoor ceremony. When the real fun started he outdid any DJ/MC that I have ever seen before. He provided the perfect fusion of American and Bollywood music that my midwestern family and Indian friends all enjoyed. The party quite literally never stopped. Sanjay knew that my now husband is Gujarati and threw in some special touches like a Garba song. His equipment is top notch and the light show was absolutely phenomenal. He provided a performance that everyone who attended will be talking about for a long time to come.
Working with Sanjay was absolutely phenomenal. By the end of it all, we consider him a dear friend and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. If you are in need of an Indian DJ, hire Swara Sagar now! Thank you Sanjay for being a part of our big day. We hope to see you again soon! -

Like many couples during the pandemic, dealing with vendors was sometimes a hassle. However, Sanjay (DJ Khiladi) and his Swara Sagar team made everything so seamless for us. From initial request, contract negotiations, wedding event, and post event summary the entire Swara-Sagar team made the entire process easy and straight forward.
Something that distinguishes good entertainment and excellent entertainment is the ability to adapt to evolving situations on the spot. This was evident at times during our wedding ceremony where genuine unforeseen circumstance required adjustment.
In summary, if you want premium entertainment, then DJ Khiladi and Swara Sagar is who you want to have for your entertainment at your event. -

DJ Khiladi made my baraat and reception a truly
memorable one. We had our baraat on a snow-filled day and his music and
high-energy dhol playing still got most of the crowd outside and dancing.
In addition, the reception music was exactly what me and my wife wanted. He
effortlessly mixed between Hindi music and a wide range of American music
(older songs, hip-hop, pop) while adding his own flair to it. He even came
out onto the dance floor with his dhol at the end of the night! -

Sanjay was extremely thorough and straightforward when initially planning out our day with us. He broke down the things he needed and even made room to personalize a few songs for us. We had him play along with us as we entered our reception as well as parts of our first dance.
Outside of those two songs, Sanjay did everything else the rest of the night by ear. He was even able to play along with Tupac at the end of the night! We loved working with him and would highly highly recommend him for any event needing a little live percussion. -

Quality of Service / The People: You will not find a family more dedicated to their craft than the Kadiwala family. From the initial stages of costing out the event, to pre-planning with the customized spreadsheets, it is clear that Sanjay knows what needs to be done before and during the event to make it a great day.
Responsiveness / Flexibility: With a custom email and dedicated cell phone line, they were immediately reachable for any changes and modifications to the timeline.
Professionalism: I've been to 3 events where Sanjay and Swara Sagar have performed. Their stage planning, wire management, taping of wires, is extremely clean, and thorough. Sanjay even worked with our venue to do an on site visit (Indianapolis) to be able to better plan the stage, power, and projector requirements himself. Having Sanjay's team at your event will be like having another wedding coordinator attend.
Value: As is true with most wedding vendors, it's hard to gauge what the initial quote and contract gets you, and when comparing to other DJ's / garba groups, it's even more difficult to know what you are getting. Though the basic service and event plan is quoted and billed for, we never imagined the amount of work Sanjay would do in pre-planning for our event. From event timeline reviews, cutting / mixing individual entrances for the wedding and reception processions, to even giving our reception performances that professional touch by offering to mix all of the music. These hidden inclusions allowed us to have a premium event and peace of mind during the planning phase that we have not forgotten anything.

Dawn Sent on 08/22/2016We booked DJ Khiladi quite late in the game for our wedding in downtown Indianapolis. With only about 2 months notice, he quickly jumped into action and was the most organized, friendly and helpful of all of the vendors we worked with for our wedding. We had a number of video conference calls to plan out every step of our somewhat complicated fusion wedding, which included an outdoor Baraat (for which DJ Khiladi created the best energy by playing live dhol drum and also providing a decorated van for the recorded music of our choice!), a Hindu ceremony with western music of our choosing sprinkled in, a cocktail reception, a number of organized dances (which included 2 songs sung live to a backing track and projected videos), dinner, and of course the open dancing reception. He even provided Dandiya sticks and lead our whole group of both Indian and western guests in the Dandiya Raas dance!
On the day of the wedding, he not only worked his rear off, but was incredibly upbeat and professional the entire day. He did a wonderful job managing the flow of the day to evening, introducing key members of the wedding party, and keeping up the incredible energy throughout the entire night.
I would highly recommend Sanjay for any wedding as an amazingly flexible, organized and professional DJ.
