Must Hire DJ Kamayo!

We hired DJ Kamayo Entertainment for our wedding in Santa Barbara and we are very happy with the decision! We heard lots of great compliments from our guests and it was an awesome party all night long! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO OTHER COUPLE'S FOR THEIR WEDDING!!! Our DJ was Kamayo and he was phenomenal! Such great energy, great attitude, a true professional and awesome person! We had some moments of the night that we really wanted executed in a specific way and he absolutely killed it! We had a violinist and a belly dancer and Kamayo made sure both of them were fully ready to perform and sounded perfect! We had a mix of culture and music genres and Kamayo made everything flow so wonderfully! When we were unsure about the timing of things in the reception, he reassured us that all was under control. That is what any couple wants from a vendor and we really appreciated and trusted him.

Above & Beyond ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We hired DJ Kamayo for our wedding reception and he was honestly a lifesaver. We didn’t have a wedding coordinator and even with a small guest list, the day became pretty stressful once our timeline started getting thrown off.

He stayed incredibly flexible the entire time, adjusting music, announcements, and the flow of the evening without making anything feel chaotic. What meant the most was that he kept checking in on me throughout the day to make sure I was okay and knew what was happening next. That level of professionalism and care made me feel so much calmer.

We had brought a photo-op backdrop but forgot our camera, and he immediately stepped in with a Photo Booth setup so our guests could still take pictures. Everyone loved it and it ended up being one of the highlights of the night!

I highly, highly recommend DJ Kamayo if you want someone professional, flexible, and genuinely supportive on your wedding day.

DJ Kamayo crushed it!

DJ Kamayo absolutely slayed our wedding at Hummingbird Ranch in Simi Valley! From helping us pick the right music for the Ceremony to the right latin music playing dinner, and then non stop dancing until the end of the night- he really kept it going. The complete wedding dj!

We had the pleasure of working with DJ Kamayo for our wedding at the Vineyards in Simi Valley (the venue recommended him) and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. From the very beginning, Kamayo was responsive, organized, and easy to work with. I really appreciated our final call before the wedding where he walked through every detail; it made us feel completely at ease going into the day. During the reception, Kamayo was incredibly attentive, checking in with us multiple times to ensure everything was perfect. The dance floor was packed from start to finish, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the music! One of the highlights of the night was when he played the song GOLDEN from Kpop Demon Hunters!!!!!!! The energy in the room was amazing. We’re so grateful to DJ Kamayo for helping make our wedding celebration absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommend!

All around great experience!

Omid (DJ Kamayo) was the absolute best DJ we could have asked for our wedding. Right from the first conversation we had on the phone I knew he was the one we needed for our big day. All of our guest loved him, we are still getting compliments on how amazing the music was. I was very specific about the style of music that we wanted and not wanted. We had our wedding at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo so we had people come in from so many different cultures. He followed the crowds vibe perfectly. I couldn’t leave the dance floor all night, every time I tried he would play one of my favorite dancing songs. Not only was he great at the DJ part but he was flexible on my husband and mines last minute song changes, questions and concerns. If we ever need a DJ for anything. We know who we are going to call!

The perfect bilingual DJ!

DJ Kryptonite (Juan) was so great in maintaining a lively dance floor and creating smooth transitions throughout the wedding. Juan also gave such great feedback and ideas during the planning stage of playlists and songs that was helpful. He also did a tremendous job of MC-ing in both English and Spanish which was a must for us. DJ Kamayo Entertainment's method of preparation is very detailed and covers everything while allowing us to customize anyway we wanted to. They ensure they have the correct information for your wedding day so you don’t need to worry about a thing!

Absolutely awesome!

Our DJ was amazing! Highly recommend DJ Kamayo, especially for those with a tight budget, we had our wedding at the Odyssey in Granada Hills. They give you complete control over the music which is something we really wanted. You can choose and change all your songs up until 2 weeks before your wedding date. You can add song requests, dedications, songs not to play etc, so you have control over what is played during your wedding. Kamayo communicated well with us throughout the entire process. I was also asked what level of energy I wanted at my wedding and they delivered! Highly recommend this DJ Kamayo Entertainment and we had a blast!

We got married this month at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu and I wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to the entire team at DJ Kamayo Entertainment for the incredible, personalized service from our very first contact right through to our wedding day. Everything was top-notch!
I have to give a special shoutout to our DJ, DJ KRYPTONITE. Juan was the epitome of professionalism and what I would consider a top-tier DJ. During our planning meeting, he meticulously walked me through every detail, from how he would make announcements to ensuring the exact pronunciation of everyone's names. Juan also showed great enthusiasm for our music selections and complimented the dance floor bangers I’d chosen! He was also incredibly accommodating when we expressed our desire to have the event outdoors in a field, assuring us there would be no issues with power or logistics. On the day of the wedding, Juan's service exceeded every expectation. He arrived exactly when he said he would, set up seamlessly, and everything—from the mics to the speakers to the uplighting—was perfect. Every guest raved about how fantastic he was and how incredible the playlist turned out to be. A few guests even asked me to get the playlist from him because it was just that good! Juan's incredible mixing skills, transitioning one song to the next, kept the energy high all night. His talents truly made our wedding a huge success. Nick Dean was the dj for our wedding in Santa Barbara and he knocked it out of the park! So happy we had the pleasure of working with Nick. My family is Hispanic and my husbands Italian and he did such a phenomenal job mixing all types of music for different age groups.

Couldn't have found a better wedding dj!

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! Omid (DJ Kamayo) absolutely killed it and it was no small task. Our wedding was quite diverse (Latinos, older crowd, millennials etc) which can be difficult to accommodate musically. I was able to describe all of these ins and outs to Omid, and he not only made me feel confident he could capture all of these flavors into the night, he actually delivered! So many people came up to me afterwards asking if I had given him a specific playlist and were surprised to hear that I had only given him this high level guidance that he ran with it. The dance floor was never empty & we had the best time. Thank you DJ KAMAYO!

Best DJ Ever!

We had the pleasure of having Juan as our DJ and MC at our wedding in Simi Valley. We had last minute changes due to bad weather and Juan was flexible and made the day run smoothly. He was available via text/all leading up to the big day. The music list template he provided was very helpful and user-friendly and I even uploaded a few playlists of my own which was a lot of fun!! The energy Juan brought to our big day was so fun and you could tell that he enjoys working in this industry. He also MC’d the full day which helped things flow during ceremony and during reception but he also brought the party on the dance floor!!

As Epic As Possible!

When looking for a wedding DJ, we were really nervous. We were so happy we found DJ Kamayo Entertainment, and that we got to work with Kamayo. Once we met Kamayo, we knew we had made the right decision- he is incredibly friendly and easy to work with, and honestly helped plan the entire event! He asked us about every detail, including many things we had not even thought to plan. The consultations helped us visualize the whole day- from the steps of the ceremony, to the details of each part of the reception- and I am so thankful for the help. Choosing music was also very straightforward, and we were able to have as much input as we wanted. We put together playlists for each part of the day, and Kamayo did a fantastic job understanding the vibe we were going for and adding in his own complimentary selections. He truly did such an amazing job, there was never a lull on the dance floor, and he even got the shyest among our guests dancing! I cannot recommend Kamayo enough- if you have the opportunity, hire him!

Just as I hoped for

My groom and I cared more about our “vibe” rather than specific songs to play. We wanted an oldies/jazzy mix, with more 30s/40s for the cocktail hour and 50s/60s for dinner, and 70s/80s/90s for dancing. DJ Kamayo achieved this goal and we recieved SO many compliments from our guests on the music. It wasn’t loud/obnoxious (taking away from people being able to socialize and enjoy their time) yet certainly added to the celebration, without a dull moment. Very classy. He communicated well ahead of time and made the process easy.

Nick is aweseome!

Nick Dean was our DJ and he did an amazing job!!! Everyone had a blast dancing all night. The dance floor was never empty. Nick always made sure to check in with us throughout the night to see how things were going. He was awesome to work with, and helped make our wedding day perfect! Thank you, Nick!

Just incredible!

Let me start with the fact that finding a DJ was the hardest part of wedding planning. We had interviewed about 6 before finding DJ Kamayo! Although some seemed promising, no one came close to our initial conversation with Kamayo. When we first met with him, within minutes we knew this was the right choice (not exaggerating!) he took the time to get to know us and listened closely to our vision. Our cultural backgrounds are Dominican/Egyptian/Puerto Rican so we wanted to make sure we captured all cultures. I know many people say they have a diverse interest in music and entertainment companies may say “oh yeah, we can handle that” but you can tell when that’s a little fishy. That was not the case whatsoever with DJ Kamayo.
We trusted in him from the jump and he delivered 1000x over. He was accessible throughout the planning process with any questions or requests along the way. We received so many compliments following the wedding!! Please don’t hesitate, book them!!

Just plain awesome!

We can't recommend DJ Nick Dean more!!! One of the things my partner and I cared most about for our wedding reception was having an amazing DJ, and Nick was that AND MORE!! The process was so collaborative - whether it was through calls or using his online template to make our song selections - everything was super easy. Everyone at our reception was saying how much they loved the music / DJ and were dancing all night long! On top of that, Nick is an amazing guy - we were delayed entering the reception and he was so thoughtful and checking in on us and even bringing us food to nibble on while everything was getting sorted. We are so grateful that we chose him and recommend him to anyone hands down!!

Just What We Wanted!

DJ Kamayo is simply wonderful - he was quick to reply, easy to work with, and perfectly professional. We are SO happy with the value of this service and credit how much fun we had at our wedding. We had a small wedding of about 50 guests and DJ Kamayo was absolutely PERFECT! He reached out to us beforehand to review everything before the big day, right down to our favorite songs. The Total Package!

We had DJ Kamayo and he was INCREDIBLE! He played every song we asked / requested (including guest requests) and was very energetic, communicative, & professional. I had trouble filling out the online forms and Kamayo was very communicative and polite in helping us figure it out. We could not have had our wedding without them. From the recessional to the processional, cocktail hour, and PARTY TIME , this company knows what they are doing!! Highly recommend to anyone planning a wedding.

Kamayo rocks!

Nick was amazing!

Let me start by saying DJ Nick Dean is awesome. His electric personality is evident the first time you meet him. And that electric personality carried through to our wedding reception. He had every guest up and dancing, whether it was to slow songs or bangers! Nick is the definition of flexible. He worked with my husband and I through any kinks during the reception. Nick made sure we had time for video, photos, and everything in between. He truly wants to make your reception perfect - and succeeds!! My guests could NOT stop talking about how awesome the DJ was. Such a Blast!

DJ Kamayo was great! He was kind, professional, offered great prices and variety of services which made coordination very easy. For my wedding in particular, he provided us with DJ, Lighting, sparklers. I appreciated that he would provide his recommendation based on experience but was open and flexible to our needs and preferences. Overall, the music and atmosphere he generated allowed for a fantastic party - the dance floor was full the entire time.

So Smooth and Easy!

Juan (dj kryptonite) is AMAZING!! He answered every email within 24 hours and was able to meet all of our unique requests and last-minute changes as well. We had a Mexican-Italian wedding and everyone was more than satisfied with the range of music. 10/10 we highly recommend hiring dj kamayo entertainment!

Nick is so good!

Nick Dean is an incredible DJ. From the very start he was a super clear communicator and made the planning process very easy. His great organizational skills made sure our musical choices and tastes were apparent and understood before the event. He was by far the easiest vendor to work with during the whole planning process of our wedding. He setup the ceremony perfectly and in a way that was very clear for everyone to understand and use. Nick also has a superb ability at reading the dance floor and knowing what to play to keep everyone happy. We were all so impressed with how he was able to just know what to play us. The songs he played, many by his own intuition, will never be forgotten by so many people at our event because of just how perfect they were and the memories we made during them. I can't recommend Nick enough. He's so easy to work with and really helps create some of the best memories you'll ever have.

Dj kamayo rocks!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! My husband and I can't say enough great things about DJ KAMAYO! He was the star of the wedding in all the best ways! Not only was Kamayo great to work with, professional and budget friendly as a whole, but he was very down to earth and we only met with him virtually. It was noticeable because every other DJ company we met with prior to going with DJ Kamayo were pompous, arrogant and even going as far as insulting us because we didn't want some of the extraneous bells and whistles. We had such a poor taste in our mouths before we locked in DJ Kamayo Entertainment. Omid (DJ Kamayo) met with us to go over our song choices prior to the wedding, he was thorough and patient. He played different versions of songs we liked and really made sure we were happy with our choices. On the actual day he read the musical vibe of our crowd so well (he is a master of his craft) - there was NOT a moment were the dancefloor was not buzzing. Everyone had such a great time and literally every guest that night or afterwards commented how great our DJ was. The quote of the night was "we had so much fun dancing at your wedding, your DJ was fantastic." We couldn't have been happier or had more fun ourselves.

Nick Dean rules!

Nick Dean was an amazing dj for our wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. From ceremony to dinner to reception he listened to what we wanted and went above that. We never had an empty dance floor. He played all of our must play songs and listened to the crowd to create an amazing playlist that covered the spread of ages. He was also super responsive to all of our emails and texts and made things super easy for us. NICK DEAN ROCKS!

Made everything perfect for us :)

DJ Kryptonite was OUTSTANDING. He came super early to set up , dressed appropriately, played all the songs requested. He is a GREAT entertainer. Also very accommodating, since I had sent him my last request at the very last: “La Hora Loca” (the crazy hour), very used at parties in my homeland, Venezuela, and lately spread out to Colombia, and the state of Florida, but I know it’s challenging if you are not familiar with it. He did it like a pro, just like if he had done it before! Everybody had fun, some people who had left earlier and saw the videos regretted not staying longer.

The best dj!

We hired DJ Kryptonite not only for his DJ skills but for the Photobooth and led LOVE letters. It was honestly the best money we spent, the dance floor was never empty and he played nice quiet music for dinner. He was able to speak both English and Spanish so everyone in my wedding knew what was going on! It was the best! Juan gave us the perfect vibe for our wedding! :)

Perfect DJ for us!

We hired DJ Kamayo after being recommended by a friend of ours. He was nice enough to DJ our wedding even during the pandemic as we finally found an outdoor venue willing to do a 50 person wedding (we had our wedding at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu). Everything turned out great and people danced so much towards the end of the night! DJ Kamayo was amazing to work with and made our day truly awesome!

Super awesome dj!

We had our wedding before the lockdown (thank goodness) and Henry Helix from dj kamayo entertainment was our DJ. He was phenomenal!! Kamayo, the owner, and Henry were so helpful leading up to the wedding and so organized. They helped with song suggestions and the flow of the night. We used Henry for ceremony and reception music. He helped the ceremony flow so nicely and even asked people to silent their phones so we didn’t have any disruptions! Henry had a great energy level and played a great mix of songs to keep guests on the dance floor! He kept us comfortable the whole time by checking in with us which made things super smooth. We highly recommend Henry!

Kamayo is awesome!

I have known for 5 years that I wanted Kamayo as my DJ/MC since he did an awesome job at my sister's wedding back in 2015 at the same venue (The Vineyards in Simi Valley). I didn't even look around for any other possibilities. You can tell he truly cares abut his clients and will do anything for them. He was great with communication before the wedding even when I wasn't the best at getting back to him. He is extremely accommodating and did as much as he could for us so we wouldn't stress too much. I wanted a DJ/MC that would make the reception a party where everyone was dancing and having fun. That is exactly what I got. So many people came up to me afterwards and said this was the best wedding ever. Kamayo is the reason it was so great and I am forever thankful!

Truly Amazing DJ

Omid (DJ Kamayo) made the entertainment part of our wedding planning and special day super stress free! Every time I emailed with a question, I received a reply within the same day. Kamayo met with us multiple times in person and over the phone far enough in advance of our wedding day to make sure we weren't worried about making decisions last minute. He covered so many details we hadn't even thought of! The day of the wedding, he had everything under control, everything went off without a hitch, and he did a great job of keeping people on the dance floor while still using music that we specifically picked out. The thing I appreciated most was that dj Kamayo came with a plan, but knew how to go with the flow of our wedding day.

I would 100% recommended DJ Kamayo Entertainment for any special occasion! Perfect for Us

We had our wedding at the Pala Mesa Resort in North San Diego and went with DJ Kamayo. We wanted a DJ that could keep everyone on the dance floor, even at our small 80-person wedding, and Kamayo totally delivered. He answered all our questions along the way throughout the planning process, helped us with the timing of the little events along the way, and kept things moving nicely. Even when we changed the music for part of our ceremony the night before after 10pm, Kamayo texted me right back and assured me it was no problem. He played a great selection of music during the reception, blending classic hits with modern songs seamlessly, and was a present (but not obnoxious!) MC. We truly enjoyed working with DJ Kamayo. He made our big day perfect.

Dj henry is amazing

We booked DJ Henry Helix after meeting him. His attitude and approach to djing weddings was exactly what we were looking for. Our wedding was an absolute hit... so much so that people still claim it’s the best one they’ve been to yet! Everyone, young and old, flooded the dance floor all night long. It was so much fun. Well Rounded DJ

We had our wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu and DJ Kamayo was seriously fantastic to work with - from our very first meeting right up to the end of our wedding night. We had so many guests compliment us on our DJ and that they had a great time either listening to our music and/or dancing. Kamayo kept up communication with us throughout the entire wedding planning process and was always able to come up with a suggestion and advise. Exceptional, Personalized DJ Service

Super awesome dj!

DJ Kamayo threw the best reception dance party for us at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. Kamayo already came highly recommended by the venue, but we were still nervous, as we love to listen to music and dance. He did not disappoint and kept a majority of people on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! Not only that, but he did the music and outdoor audio for the ceremony. Everything worked out fantastic. I heard great reviews from people in the crowd about how wonderful it was to actually hear the whole ceremony and vows while being in an outdoor setting. The pre-planning was exceptional too… detailed forms for personal info, a few planning calls, and quick email responses. Thanks again for the great day KAMAYO, we really appreciate it!!!

Dj/MC for our wedding

Dj Kryptonite/Juan killed it on our wedding day!!! We got so many complements of our DJ. he was very responsible, friendly and kept the party going all night. He always checked in with us to make sure we were ok, and took any request we had had regarding lighting, photobooth and music. We danced the night away

Nick Dean DJ'd our wedding at McCormick Home Ranch a few weeks ago and he was awesome. Communication with the co. was easy and fast and then we were able to talk to Nick on the phone a few days before to finalize everything. Nick kept everyone dancing all night long and he MC skills were just right! He brought the photo booth for our wedding as well and it was a hit. Dj Kamayo was a recommended vendor and I’m so glad we went with him! Omid always responded quickly whenever I emailed and he was so easy to work with! Simply Amazing!

DJ Kamayo is amazing! We had our wedding at Calamigos Ranch and booked Kamayo since he was on the preferred vendor list. We were a bit nervous at first because it was mostly a Mexican wedding and we wanted lots of Spanish music and announcement to also be made in Spanish. We met with Kamayo prior to booking and he assured us that he knows Spanish music very well and could also have an assistant make announcements in Spanish. Everything came together and we had the PERFECT night. He played an excellent selection of music and kept a high energy on the dance floor. The led dance lighting looking amazing and we loved the open air photo booth.

We LOVE DJ Kamayo! He was very quick to reply to my questions, and offered great suggestions for song choices.

I provided him with a very short list of songs that I liked for different parts of the day, songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. And with just a few songs I liked to go off of, he crafted an incredible soundtrack for our entire wedding. My guests commented on the music saying that it was "so us" and he kept everyone dancing and having a great time.

The song my husband and I chose for our grand entrance was Red Bone's "Come and Get Your Love" I mentioned to DJ Kamayo that this was actually "our song" but that we couldn't pull off a dance to it for our first dance, and wanted to incorporate it into our day as our grand entrance.

To my delight and surprise, he remembered the significance of the song for us, and closed out the night with it. The last song of the evening was our song, and ALL of our wedding guests rushed the dance floor and danced to it together. It was a great feeling and one of the most memorable parts of the night, and he created it.

ALSO we rented our photo booth from him and that was also a fantastic decision! LOVE LOVE LOVE DJ Kamayo

We went with DJ Kamayo after seeing him DJ a food tasting at our venue (Calamigos Ranch in Malibu). We knew he was perfect for us because he has a really good sense of music knowledge and can mix music REALLY WELL! At our wedding everything was simply perfect. Where to start. Could not be happier with this company and how good of a job they did for our wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. We hired DJ NICK DEAN for our wedding after seeing him DJ at one of the bars he plays at (The Tavern in Ventura). We knew from watching him do his thing there that he would be ideal for our wedding. Nick did an excellent job communicating and gathering all the needed information for the timeline and made sure to answer any questions we had about the music. Everything went off without a hitch. Seriously the best experience ever! My new husband and I would recommend DJ Kryptonite (Juan) over and over again! Juan was the DJ who worked our wedding and he made it such a blast!!! Not only the day of the wedding but the planning process was so wonderful. I was contacted by DJ Kamayo about who would be working our wedding and later Juan contacted me. I asked if we could meet in person and go over some details for the wedding and he was more than accommodating and very personable!!! After meeting with him we left feeling so excited and calm about our day, knowing he was going to take care of everything. During the reception he got the party started and everyone dancing!!! We had so many great compliments from guests about how fun the dance was and we would both agree. We were hesitant when first booking them because of the price, but let me tell you... THEY ARE WORTH IT!!!! We knew we wanted to have a fun party and they made that happen for us. He was really good about keeping us on track but not being too pushy when we got behind on our schedule. We were very happy with DJ Kamayo (Omid). We had some questions before the wedding (e.g. What kind of music should we play during cocktail hour versus during dinner) and he was responsive and helpful. He scheduled time with us a few days before the wedding to discuss our playlists and timeline and so that we could ask any last minute questions. On the day of the wedding, he had everything covered from DJ and MC duties to providing a mic and mic stand for the officiant. When it was time to start dancing, he kept everyone out on the dance floor all night! He played our requested songs and mixed in other songs that fit the style of songs we'd selected so that it was like one seamless playlist. Over the course of the day, he checked in with us several times so that we always knew what was going on. He was also a great MC, clear and communicative without trying to be the center of attention. The venue (Gerry Ranch) has some sound restrictions because it is an outdoor venue in a residential zone but he knew how to keep the music playing without any problems!

We found DJ Kamayo (Omid) through our venue, The Vineyards. He is a preferred DJ there, so he has a lot of experience DJing there. After booking, we met with him to talk about our ideas and questions regarding the music at our wedding. He emailed us all the information we needed to select songs for our wedding. He met with us one more time before the wedding to finalize everything. I was nervous about having a DJ during the ceremony because most of the weddings I went to had live music, but it sounded beautiful. DJ Kamayo was able to incorporate all our special requests and ensured the entire event ran smoothly. All of our guests had a great time dancing! We strongly recommend you book DJ Kamayo for your wedding!

Me and my wife Leena got married at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu and DJ Kamayo was our DJ. He did a phenomenal job. We were worried going in that things wouldn't turn out the way wanted since we were trying to do everything the nontraditional way. DJ Kamayo made everything every super easy for us and made sure nothing was awkward the whole event and that everyone had a great time. He played all of our requests and kept our guests and family dancing the whole time. He knows how to keep energy going on the dance floor!

DJ Kamayo was our wedding DJ this past weekend at Moorpark Country Club, and I could not be more pleased with him! He was extremely easy going flexible, and responsive during the planning process, and everybody raved about him during and after the wedding. We had our wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu and chose Nick Dean to be our DJ and he was amazing! From the minute we had our first phone call to our wedding, everything was organized and went off flawlessly. Everything went by smoothly and Nick made sure we were relaxed and enjoying ourselves the entire. He had our dance floor packed all night. We hired Omid (DJ Kamayo) for our wedding in Santa Barbara last October and we couldn't be more pleased with the decision. We came to Omid based on the reviews and because we needed someone who could handle DJing for a bilingual, multicultural wedding. When we met, Omid introduced us to Juan (DJ Kryptonite) and they offered to DJ together for no extra fee, with Juan handling the Spanish side of the MC and DJ duties. They were both friendly and great with all of our questions and we hired them on the spot. After the meeting, they emailed us a worksheet for song selections, as well as clips of popular songs for different parts of the big day to help us with ideas. We also opted to go for a little bit of reception lighting around the dance floor.

The day of the wedding was wonderful. Everything at the ceremony went just like we asked. Omid's selection of music pre and post-ceremony was wonderful too. But the reception is where they blew us away. The mixture of English and Spanish music was perfect and sooo fun to dance to. They flowed perfectly together. Both sides of the family were up and dancing all night, and we're still getting compliments three months later on how fun the mix of music was. As for the MC duties, they were perfect there too. They weren't like some DJ's that get on microphone too much as is they just love the sound of their own voice.

Lastly, even though we didn't notice, apparently Juan had a family emergency that prevented him from being present for the first half of the night. Everything was so perfect that when they told us we weren't upset at all, but they insisted on not accepting our tip for their services and apologized profusely. These two are definitely pros who take pride in their work and go out of their way to make your night wonderful. Don't hesitate to hire them.

Nick Dean of DJ Kamayo Entertainment was PHENOMENAL. I couldn't have anything better to say about him. When you picture the DJ at your wedding, I'm sure you picture someone who is outgoing, funny, well spoken, and knows how to interact with people. Nick was all of this and then some. I got more comments at and after the wedding of how amazing the DJ was than I ever expecting. You really don't realize how important it is to have a great DJ, until you have a great DJ (or you have a really bad one because you obviously didn't read this review.) We met with Dave a couple times before hand to get to know each other and to go over details of the wedding, and that was great. He was super flexible, he kept reminding us that it is our day and we can do things in whatever order we wanted to, and he did just that. He got our guests up and dancing, he got them laughing and absolutely made sure we all had a wonderful time. We could not be happier with everything he did for us, and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic DJ!!

I have to be honest. When it came to picking out music, I had NO IDEA what to do. I knew I wanted to do a DJ, but I had no idea where to start. I came across DJ Kamayo and I really liked his reviews and instagram videos. When I met with him in person, he was so professional and made to accommodate my needs. His website is easy to access, and his wedding music form made everything super easy for us. Then the day of the wedding came - DJ Kamayo was THE BEST. He was EXACTLY what we wanted. He asked me what I wanted, and if any guest tried to request something I did not want, he did not play it. (I had some jokester friends trying to fool him). Our crowd was on the dance floor all. night. long. I was amazed. My husband and I are not big dancers, but we were on that floor all night.

I was so impressed by Nick Dean of DJ Kamayo Entertainment. DJ Kamayo was our DJ for our wedding this past March. We found him through our package at the Vineyards.

When I look back on my wedding planning, there's a few things I procrastinated on... writing my vows and finalizing our music selection were at the top of that list. However, we had good faith that Kamayo would pull through for us and he did! We basically put together an idea of the styles/genres we had in mind for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. DJ Kamayo transformed our list into a whole night of smooth transitions and a party that I wished could've never ended.

DJ Kamayo also provided the uplighting for the reception. Other venues might have you choose one uplighting color scheme. DJ Kamayo is able to adjust the colors and intensity throughout the night, which makes the ambiance more dynamic. I didn't realize at the time but it is a pretty big advantage that he is so familiar with the venue.

If you're looking for a DJ with a laid back demeanor and a killer playlist, DJ Kamayo will not disappoint you.

Omid (DJ Kamayo) was absolutely solid for our wedding. He gave us plenty of sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and an absolute killer package of sound and lighting for our reception. There’s a lot of services he can provide in regards to the production (haze and fog machine, lasers, dimmable string lights and chandeliers, etc.) and you can tell he’s really into what he does- sound, equipment, music, and making sure you have an awesome wedding.

He makes sure that his involvement in the wedding is about you. He isn’t too wordy with his announcements and speaks with confidence when he does. When we first met with him for a consultation meeting he let us know that if we want to make the entire playlist from start to finish and have him play it, then he is completely fine with that. We actually did do exactly that, but also let him know that we give him discretion to go with what works best (we’re not the pros here). He did a great job of looking at our list and getting a feel for what we want and throwing in some songs that matched perfectly throughout the night. He did a great job mixing and determining the best order of the songs.

In addition to absolutely bringing it and more as a DJ, he was super proactive with some of the issues we were having with power and lighting (venue/rentals issue). My wife and I would see an issue and before she could get too worried I could see Omid going towards the problem and I’d tell her “Don’t worry. It looks like Omid is on it.” Apparently our catering kitchen even lost power at some point and Omid helped the situation by lending them a spare 100 ft. extension cord to plug into another power source.

Lastly, he provided us with his analysis of some of the breakdowns we had from the evening. Ultimately we all had a great evening and the night remained special to us, but it was good to get an idea of what took place behind the scenes.

Omid is a passionate guy who delivers, hands down. Thank you Omid!!!

If you want an all out dance party at your wedding, DJ Kamayo is your guy. We've been to a bunch of weddings the past few years and there's definitely a bucket of songs you hear at every wedding. We really wanted something original for our reception to set a different vibe and avoid the party turning to gimmicky moves, dance-off circles as it often seems to.

DJ Kamayo worked with us to create a one of a kind setlist ranging from Queen to Skrillex, Shania Twain to SOJA and Colbie Collait to Major Lazer. Referencing an apple playlist we put together with nearly 5 hours of widely varied music, DJ Kamayo mixed hits from multiple decades and genres live on the spot. We requested plenty of Billboard Top 40 type stuff, but everything just felt fresh though. I never once got the sense that DJ Kamayo was rehashing old playlist ideas. This was a real DJ at work, beat matching songs in a seamless manner that got progressively more EDM-y as the night wore on; he even managed to pepper in some dubstep for me (the groom) and my friends. I never once heard a song that wasn't on our list of music that we merely asked him to try to pull from.

DJ Kamayo got us set up with a photo booth that our guests loved and emailed all the pictures taken in the booth that night to us the next day. He brought extra lighting for the reception, had plenty of equipment to fluidly transition from an outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour to an indoor reception, and regularly checked in with us throughout the night just to see how things were going, keep us on schedule, etc. Lastly, he assumed the role of MC and coordinator and when he realized we didn't have one, announcing the wedding party, the toasts, etc.

We worked directly with DJ Kamayo from the first time we made contact. No third party to go through, easy payment options... We have nothing but good things to say. Thank you so much for everything DJ Kamayo, so many of our friends and family have come to us claiming "funnest reception ever."

I cannot tell you how happy my husband and I are that we hired DJ Kamayo for our ceremony and reception at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. He is a true professional and genuinely awesome person. The music was timed perfectly for the ceremony and the music at the reception was fabulous. We gave Omid (DJ Kamayo) some very broad guidelines for the music and asked him to run with it; he did a great job, somehow getting people to dance (and they are NOT the dancing crowd). If you are looking for someone to also accommodate your super specific requests as well, Kamayo has an amazing guide website that can help you pick and choose all of your songs. He made the music selection process super easy for us.

DJ Kamayo is AWESOME. There's nothing cheesy about this wedding DJ (my biggest fear) and his website was awesome to use for the event. Every song was played at just the right time and my guests walked away saying the music was perfect! Everyone was dancing and having the best time.

One of my favorite moments from Kamayo was right before he announced us in for dinner and the first dance, he got our guests cheering for us and they continued to cheer through our whole dance routine. It was so encouraging and really made us feel loved.

DJ Kamayo MADE our wedding unforgettable. From the ceremony to the final dance, everything flowed seamlessly. The DJ for our wedding was probably the hardest thing for me and my husband to agree on. My husband wanted a very high energy club atmosphere while I preferred a little more traditional that would appeal to a wide variety of guests. DJ Kamayo did an amazing job of giving us the best of both worlds! Kamayo made it very easy to plan out the night with the music list template form he has on his website. We had our wedding at the Victorian in Santa Monica and Kamayo was absolutely amazing! We still get raves from guests about how wedding was so fun and it was largely in part to the song choices being able to have everything move smoothly throughout the wedding.

Omid (DJ Kamayo) was absolutely essential to our wedding. He understood exactly what we wanted (which was an epic dance party) and delivered. He did a fantastic job of combining old school and new music in a way that didn't feel like the boring wedding dj trajectory of old first, then new stuff later. He had it all so interwoven that at one point my in-laws were dancing to DJ Kool, and later in the night played music that got the older generation back on the dance floor without losing the younger crowd. He was also in charge of announcing speeches and dinner, and did so seamlessly, without doing that weird show boaty thing DJ's sometimes do. A couple of times throughout the night Kamayo would come check in with us, and make sure everything was going well on our end. My favorite moment was when he asked whether we wanted to wait to announce the last song, or fool our guests with a last song announcement and then hit them with a 15 minute mash up. (We opted for the mash-up, obviously). Everyone is still telling us how awesome the music was. At the end of the night we told Kamayo that we're going to have to throw more big parties so he can come back and DJ again. We can't recommend him highly enough!

We used DJ Nick Dean from DJ Kamayo Entertainment. We couldn't have been more satisfied with him. He was simply amazing. He helped us select songs and the wedding music outline file he provided really helped us organize our music playlist. The whole process was painless and so easy thanks to Nick. Everyone at our wedding remarked as to how wonderful DJ KAMAYO was. He came over to our sweetheart table to let us know where we were in the night every so often so that we were always prepared for the next event (father-daughter dance, cake cutting, last dance, etc.). He is very professional and met with us twice to make sure we had all of the details finalized. He was well worth the money! Music can make or break your wedding party, and he definitely "made" the wedding reception. He is a really nice, good humored person, who is upbeat, positive, and always smiling. We always thought selecting a wedding DJ is difficult since it's hard to sample the quality ahead of time. With some referrals and perfect reviews from WeddingWire, we decided to go with DJ KAMAYO. As anyone who goes through the planning process for the first time, we were anxious about every detail. Kamayo's laid back demeanor initially made us question whether he's on top of things. Well, he was and even provided some last minute solutions that were crucial to the ceremony & wedding.

We wanted a 90's hip hop music theme and he delivered by building a classic hip hop playlist based on songs we suggested. The crowd went wild a few times because the music was "on the money." He was even able to play a few requests at seconds notice because of impromptu speeches.

He was professional, easy to work with, and very dependable. We'd recommend him to anyone who is looking for a wedding DJ in Los Angeles.

Working with Nick Dean was a complete pleasure. Total professional and understood our needs for our wedding music. We wanted someone who would not only play the music we like, but that would play it at the right time and mix it well. Nick knew his music well and played it VERY well!

DJ Kamayo was the DJ/MC for our wedding, and he was great. He was extremely professional, easy to work with, kept the festivities and events moving at a brisk but comfortable pace, and really played great music. He played what we wanted, and consulted us when he received questionable requests from our guests (but we were OK with anything). DJ Kamayo is a true pro and we would absolutely book him again for another event, and will recommend him to our friends with upcoming weddings.

DJ Nick Dean was AMAZING!!!!!! We had our wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu.
Throughout the wedding day Nick checked in with us throughout the evening to adjust toast and cake cutting timing as well as other announcements that needed to be made. The music was everything we wanted and more! Everybody was raving about his professionalism, mixing ability, and overall quality of service. With 150+ guests he adjusted volume during cocktail hour and then increased the volume for our dance party! One quote from my mom the Mother of the Bride was "WOW, your DJ keeps mixing in great songs before the other ends and I just can't get off the dance floor!" Pretty much sums up our night :)
