We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! He played the perfect mix of music for all ages, and the dance floor was packed all night long. Guests were saying they’d never seen anything like it!
He was also incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire process, which made everything stress-free. Truly amazing from start to finish. Highly recommend!

For our September 2025 wedding, we had Adrian (DJ Mista Cham), and he did a fantastic job blending our Caribbean and Midwest music taste. Great communication, great energy - highly recommend! -

Julian offers a 10 out of 10 experience. That’s the easiest way to put it. His level of professionalism is as good as it can be, but then his DJing skills are on another level. He officiated and DJ’d our destination wedding and in our wedding group chat for weeks after people kept commenting how no other (Dj) they’ve heard since then was as good as Julian was. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough! -

We hired Julian to DJ for our wedding. At first, we arranged for a chill night with what we assumed would be a sleepy crowd of guests. But just a little bit into dinner, Julian already had a few of our guests dancing by the tables and it wasn't long until the dancefloor was flooded! Everyone had a blast and credited the DJ's skill and attention to detail for the infectious hype!
I highly recommend Julian to anyone throwing an event. He can work with you to tailor a playlist AND freestyle with the vibes of the party. Truly a professional, and a joy to have. -

DJ Rivera was amazing ! For starts he had set up two separate phone calls before the wedding. The first was to let him know our expectations. The second was to make sure he understood them. The entire wedding he showed his talent with classic mixing and made everyone from all generations feel included. He knew the vibes at all times and my wife and I constantly say if we had to do it over again we would go with him still. Thanks DJ Rivera for giving us an amazing experience at our wedding! -

Such a great experience
We could not say enough great things about Julian. From day one he was professional and responsive. Leading up to our wedding he was organized and focused on our event. Julian single handedly made our reception the most fun for us and our guest. The way he knew how to interact with the crowd, and keep the party going was unmatched. Julian comes from a time in the music scene where you had to have an ear and it really shows in his sets. He was wonderful. -

Julian is a party wizard! He had every age group at my son’s wedding on that dance floor. That includes my youngest son who I have never, and I mean never seen dancing at any event!
He made the entertainment process very easy and stress free. He answered any and all questions pertaining to his work and handled the reception events flawlessly. My friends and strangers were complimenting his DJ skills even after he had gone and the lights were on. Both families felt blessed to have him MC our children’s wedding reception this year. I would give him 10 stars if I could! -

DJ Julian absolutely crushed our wedding!! From the moment the dance floor opened, it was packed with people having the best time. In meeting with him beforehand and giving him the overall vibe we wanted, he did everything and more! It was such an awesome atmosphere that he even played an extra 30 minutes and kept the party going. DJ Julian absolutely KILLED IT at our wedding on 10/14/23. My husband and I were undecided on a DJ for the wedding for the better part of a year (of our 2-year engagement) because we just hadn't been wowed by anyone at that point. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Julian through a recommendation and my husband and I immediately said "we have to book him for our wedding". Not only is Julian an absolutely STELLAR DJ, he is SO fantastic to work with. His communication through the entire process is so helpful and he is 100% there to make sure your day is exactly how you want it. He also has amazing suggestions if you aren't sure what you want or don't have an event planner to guide you! I could go on and on with this review, but the point is, BOOK DJ JULIAN FOR YOUR EVENT. Wedding, company party, whatever the event is, he is your go to. Hands down. -

I don’t even know where to start! Julian and his son djed our wedding in the OBX and they were everything and more! Everyone danced the night away and people the next day were still saying how great our dj was!! He didn’t just play music he djed like we were up in the club! The dj that will bring the hype out of everyone
There are two things that make an incredibly fun reception: the guests and the DJ! I'm the owner/founder of Susan Ly Photography and I have worked many weddings.
DJ Julian DEFINITELY brought the energy to this wedding! Of all the weddings I've worked, I have not danced, jumped, or celebrated this much at a reception until working with Julian. HE MADE THE ENTIRE WEDDING RECEPTION SOOO HYPE!! One of the compilation photos of the guests speaks for itself! His transitions from one song to another were just right-- clean and clever. DJing definitely takes skill to make that transition get a crowd more amped up for the next song and he did just that. I've never seen a more impressed, outgoing, and fun reception. All the vendors, the wedding guests, and the bride and groom were so happy to have him. I'd recommend him to anyone and would even book him myself in the future if we decide to get married in VA! -

Absolutely Amazing
DJ Julian was absolutely awesome the entire time! He was on point with all the ceremony music and then continued with excellent music for the reception. He helped us create a vision during our meeting and then made sure it happened on our wedding day. DJ Julian was able to blend polar opposite songs together to help get all generations of guest up and dancing! He was personable, high energy, and super flexible. At our wedding, he worked so well with the venue and our coordinator that both parties look forward to working with him more in the future. DJ tJulian is a top-tier DJ that will make your day extra special with music tailored to your wants and a partnership that will cause you no stress on your special day. -

We cannot recommend DJ Julian Rivera ENOUGH! He goes above and beyond for his clients. We hired him for our wedding and each of the 60 guests raved over his DJ skills and high energy. He made our reception a great and fun time for all our guests. My 79 year old grandmother even joined in, and this woman never dances. Julian was absolutely amazing at our wedding! Even leading up to the event he was available, in touch, and personable. I first heard DJ Julian at Peabody's in Virginia Beach. My best friend and I raved over him for months. We loved him so much that she went and looked for him on social media. Little did I know that she did that for a future event. My bridesmaids booked him for my bachelorette party... I had NO idea!!!! I was so happy and surprised. Julian was able to play all the hits that were up to MY standards (just like the first performance that I heard him at). A plus is that Julian helped us with a noise complaint at 5:30 PM, in broad daylight. And he handled it so well, professionally, and didn't stop the party! I would book him over and over. In fact, I'd make him my resident DJ for everything!!! -

The wedding doesn’t run well without an amazing DJ
Julian went above and beyond for us. From start to finish he kept us on time. He made our outdoor backyard wedding into the best nightlife dance party I’ve ever been too. We danced the night away. I would high recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for any event. -

Best DJ hands down! It’s telling how awesome he is when your friends also book him for their wedding days! And we love it as we get to see him and experience his awesome tunes and mixing again and again.
Easily one of the best and easiest vendors to work with out of our wedding day! He brought everything he needed, plus additional equipment for a guest to sing during the ceremony and for outside tunes as well.
Very reasonably priced and so professional and fun to work with!

DJ Julian is absolutely the best! He listened to every detail my son and daughter in law wanted for their wedding ceremony music and for the most fantastic reception. His mixes of music had the dance floor packed all night long and our guests were talking about how much fun they had for months later! Julian takes the time to help you organize your music selections by meeting with you personally and then continues with any follow up planning. He is professional, thoughtful, so talented and a genuine person you feel is apart of your family! We are booking him for another wedding and my husband's retirement party because his personal music mixes and jams are like no other! He will not let you down! -

Wedding or Special Event, DJ Julian is the best there is, hands down!
When we began planning our wedding, a close friend of ours recommended we reach out to Julian because, "he is simply the best." our friend was absolutely right. Of all of the vendors involved in our big day, DJ Julian Rivera was by far my favorite.
First of all, he's a personable, genuine, and incredibly likeable guy which made working with him easy from jump street. He was professional, respected all of our requests right out of the gate, and listened to every detail we were looking for. At first, my wife and I were very specific with the ambiance we were going for and Julian was enthusiastically receptive to our requests. He assured us that we were in good hands and he'd take care of us.
Leading up to the last few days before the wedding day we focused on some of the finer details and knew we could trust Julian with all of the music.
Let me just say; Julian delivered big time! He took great care in ensuring the music on our special day was perfect. He nailed all of the special moments during the ceremony, the guests enjoyed the ambiance he set during dinner, and kept the party going on the dance floor! He has a natural ability to read the room and knows how to either excite or relax the room through music vibes without it feeling forced.
All of our friends and family could not stop complimenting how much fun our wedding reception was and the great job Julian did to deliver that for us. I couldn't be more pleased with having Julian make our special day even more unforgettable. After our wedding, several of our friends booked Julian to DJ their weddings as soon as they started their planning.
If we were to start the process of planning our wedding all over again, I'd call and book Julian in a heartbeat and then figure out the rest of the other vendors after that. You're going to want him for your wedding or any other special event where you need someone you can trust behind the speakers to get the party started and keep it going. As he assured us, I assure you you are in good hands with Julian! -

Top notch wedding/event DJ!!
One of the best decisions we made during wedding planning was hiring Julian as our DJ. From the very beginning, he was very responsive, professional, and easy to work with. He took the time to understand our vision and made sure he didn’t leave out any details. He even made sure he knew the correct pronunciation for entire wedding party names. After our wedding, I couldn’t believe how many people requested his information, including one of our wedding vendors! Our videographer said that was the best DJ he’s ever seen and planned to use him for his own wedding. If that doesn’t say enough, I don’t know what will.
Julian has a gift for feeling out the crowd and a deep knowledge for all music genres. Our friends and family still talk about how much fun our wedding was - all thanks to Julian! -

My best man is a DJ and I could not use him for our wedding. He did recommend Julian and said "LJ, you've heard him before at Red, Wine, and Brew." At that event, I had so much fun every time Julian DJed. My fiancée was also aware of his DJing skills and was like "it's a no brainer." Julian was very professional and was very easy to work with. You tell him what you want at your wedding; you want it to be a club after all of the traditional wedding games then so be it you'll have a club feeling.
I would definitely recommend him as your wedding DJ, you will not be disappointed. -

The best Dj ever !
Julian is amazing ! From professionalism to flexibility. He was very thorough in our meetings and coming up with exactly what we wanted for our ceremony as well as reception. He’s very easy going and played what we asked and what the crowd wanted to hear. Early in the reception was family friendly but later in the evening we turnt up like a Saturday night club night. He’s the best! His voice and presence on the mic will keep your party going all night and keep you thoroughly entertained. 10/10 would recommend !! -
