I cannot rave about Pete enough! Incredibly accommodating, responsive (even after hours or on weekends, Pete always made it a priority to get back to me no matter when it was!), personable, sociable, just all around so easy and seamless to work with not to mention so much fun! Our dance floor was NEVER empty while Pete was the DJ. He is also a fantastic MC/ceremony host too! The one thing I loved the most is that he honored guests song requests. It can be such a hard balance to go by the requested list whilst getting guest requests and he balanced that so SOOO well! He was just so so nice to work with. Even the morning of my wedding day I had to message him a quick change/something specific and you bet he was there and on it immediately! We loved Pete with DJ Jer!

Drew did an amazing job at our wedding. We gave him a list of songs and he was able to fit the vibe and keep the party going. The sound was great, and we had multiple people tell us how much fun they had. There was a game or two mixed in, too. Drew was great to work with in terms of planning and leading up to the big day. Overall it was awesome!!

Nicole was amazing
There are a few things that can make or break a wedding, and a DJ is definitely one of them. Nicole, hands down, was a 10/10 the best party we could have asked for! Best DJ out there!!
Had to give a quick shoutout to Jeremy — he was the DJ at my wedding and honestly, he made the whole night. The music was on point from start to finish. He knew exactly when to slow it down and when to hype things up, and somehow got everyone on the dance floor — even the people who never dance.
He mixed in all the right songs, took requests without any drama, and just kept the vibe super fun and smooth. You could tell he actually cared about making sure everyone had a good time, not just pressing play and calling it a night.
If you're looking for someone chill, professional, and actually good at what they do, Jeremy’s your guy. Highly recommend.

Jacob was the BEST!
We had Jacob Womack for our wedding in June (hottest day of the year I might add) We had to move our reception inside last minute and I was worried about keeping vibes high with everyone. Jacob kept the party on the dance floor the WHOLE night! Everyone raved about the DJ to us afterwards and how much fun they had! Best night of our lives! Thank you Jacob! Pete Nelson with DJ Jer Events was the ABSOLUTE best! From our check-in meeting a month before wedding day through midnight on our wedding day, we knew we were in good hands. He was attentive, supportive, and energetic. When we had questions, he had the answers. When we gave him an idea for a game, he ran with it—and absolutely killed it! Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had—the venue turned on the lights at the end of the night and people were upset because they just wanted to keep dancing! Matt with DJ Jer did my brother’s wedding and did so well I hired him for mine too. He helped us have quite literally the perfect day. He executed everything planned and reacted perfectly to everything unplanned, such as working with the photographers seamlessly to wrangle in family for pictures, and politely handled guests being rude during the reception, and was able to read the energy of the room and react appropriately at all points of the night. Was the same for my brothers wedding 6 years ago.

Party the night away!
We can't thank DJ Jer enough! He literally was the soundtrack to the best night of our lives. He got our friends and family out on the dance floor early and kept them there all night. DJ Jeff Wheeler was the perfect DJ and MC for our New Year’s Eve wedding. We had many consultations to get it just right. Jeff’s experience was tantamount in helping us make the decisions we didn’t have an opinion on. Jeff made great suggestions for games and music. Jeff had to make some game time decisions on the wedding day where promptly informed us and made sure to get our “blessing” before making the changes. Our dance floor was never empty. Our experience with DJ Jer was nothing short of amazing. From the beginning, he was so communicative and responsive. Jeremy answered all our questions, big and small, in a timely fashion. We didn't even realize how many aspects of our big day would be handled by this company. They coordinated our sound system at our ceremony, added bistro lighting above our dance floor at the reception, and DJ Jer was an incredible emcee- keeping our dance floor full all night. Awesome group, great DJ
Tony with DJ Jer was great! He was so helpful with the planning portion of our wedding reception and he KILLED IT the night of the reception! We never left the dance floor and it was all because we had a great DJ who knew how to read the crowd! Tony was so considerate and accommodating to our needs on the night of the reception and he kept everyone in the loop with any changes or timelines, including the wedding guests! We have heard so many great things from our guests about Tony, they all noticed how great of a job he did! If you're looking for someone to truly enhance your guests' experience, Tony is your guy! The Best in the Area - DJ Tony
DJ Jer is absolutely the best in the area- specifically Tony who DJ'd our wedding this past September. He did an amazing job of keeping the energy moving all night long and facilitating the night's events (which made my job a lot less stressful!). It was definitely a night to remember with his positive, upbeat and energetic attitude (and of course amazing tunes). Tony was also so helpful during the planning process and answered all of our questions without hesitation. We would one million perfect recommend them over and over again and are so grateful Tony made our day so special.

✨Wedding Dreams Become Reality✨
One of the first “to do's'' in our wedding planning process was to meet with DJ Jer at our reception venue. Right off the bat he was friendly, energetic, punctual, and collaborative. He walked the space with us while we bounced ideas around; by the end of the walk through we were excited to have Jer on our team. We trusted his expertise, and found comfort in his assurance and excitement; and understanding of our expectations.
Along the way Jer’s communication was seamless. He sent over hand sketched drafts of our dream dance floor (aka: magical disco garden), kept in touch with us via emails, phone, and in person meetings, and worked well with our wedding planner and florist to make sure no detail was left untouched. Their collaborative efforts were deemed impeccably marvelous on our Wedding night.
Not only was he able transform the ambiance of the space into its own captivating glowy mood he emceed the evening and brought the vibe to match the mood. It’s no easy feat to corral and inform all of your guests throughout the night, but Jer took responsibility for that; doing his part to keep us on schedule and was able to adjust when we were falling behind our timeline. Jer is a professional and a master at his craft. We had a wonderful time working with him and miss the creative process, maybe it’s time to throw another party!

The Day I've Been Waiting For!
To say that Jer did an amazing job would be an understatement. There was no question who our DJ would be for the wedding because I have known Jer for years, however, he blew all of our expectations out of the water. I LOVE music and submitted a long list of "must play" songs. Jer did an amazing job of playing parts of songs to fit in as many as possible. Our dance floor showed how much our guests enjoyed Jer, and they continue to rave about him and tell us how much fun they had!

If you want an incredible wedding reception and an over the top great time that guests can't stop talking about, then put your trust in the hands of DJ Drew! He was truly so personable and funny and kept the crowd going on the dance floor all night! My favorite thing after the wedding day was having all our guests compliment us on our DJ choice and being able to relive the whole experience through their eyes. My husband and I are not familiar with the Sioux Falls area and reviews were very important to at us in helping choose our vendors. After all, we considered music the next most important thing to food and the photographer. Tony Nelson helped us on our big day and we could not have been more pleased. Truly professionals in all areas. Tony made sure that all the bases were covered in the days leading up to the wedding as well as the main event itself. We also booked the photo booth, monogram and lighting and they really helped the whole day come together with our style in mind. Absolutely would book again!

We had DJ Tony for our wedding reception this past weekend. We wanted the best DJ for our wedding and we definitely got that with Tony. Planning was a breeze. He answered all of our questions. We really enjoyed how organized this company is. It made the planning process less stressful for us and more enjoyable! DJ Pete was so personable throughout the whole process. We had a lot of traditional wedding items that just didn't fit our personalities and wanted to change up. Pete took the time to get to know us well enough to suggest those kinds of changes that would remain personal to us but eliminate the 'traditional' elements we wanted to omit. We even had a couple of day-of requests that he was happy to accommodate and included them without a hitch!

A DJ that followed through with what we wanted!
We cannot thank DJ Jer enough for making our reception/dance unforgettable! The first meeting we had with him we instantly knew he was our DJ. We definitely could have gone over the top with lighting, but Jer ensured we had a great reception hall that required minimal uplighting. Every time we met with Jer he listened to our requests and truly got to know our styles as a couple. People would ask us if our DJ was good or if they were going to make sure people were up and dancing. We didn't question it because we trusted Jer... he did exactly that! Our dance floor was packed majority of the night. He played a variety of music and definitely played to the crowds' style. We are so grateful to Jer and hope we see him again at another event to thank him in person.

We had DJ Tony for our wedding and let me tell you, he was an absolute life saver! We met multiple times with Tony before the wedding to finalize plans and he always made us feel 100% taken care of! When we texted him literally 2 days before the wedding with some information we forgot to provide him, he handled the changes smoothly and ensured me that it would all work out!

Tony was amazing!! 10/10 recommend!! He brought so much energy to our dance and kept the floor full all night! He answered all of our questions prior to the wedding and he made sure everything went flawlessly the day of and made it worry free for us! We can't say enough good about Tony!

DJ Tony is Fantastic
Tony brought so much energy to our wedding and we couldn't be more thankful. We had a combination of live music and recorded music during the ceremony & he handled it flawlessly. He addressed any questions/concerns we had throughout the process and did great job on the day-of. He kept us on schedule throughout the reception and brought a ton of energy - even teaching us how to wobble and showing us what the Dougie SHOULD look like. 10/10 would recommend.

DJ Tony Wedding
10/10 recommend DJ Tony! Not only was he awesome on our wedding night, he was very helpful throughout the entire process. Tony was able to work my wife and I through moving back our wedding as well as moving to a different state in before the new date. He helped us accomplish everything that we wanted to do, made planning fun, and even helped come up with some ideas for us. We also got the photobooth which was a huge hit and I would recommend that as well. Thank you so much Tony!

We had DJ Tony for our wedding recently. He was easy to work with from start to finish. He was on time and quick to respond with any questions or concerns. The ceremony went smoothly and he kept the crowd engaged through cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing! We highly recommend DJ Tony!

The best in the business!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the start DJ Jer was incredible to work with and made our big day so unique to us! Two of our favorite parts of the wedding were ideas he gave us with personalized intros and a voice overs during the father daughter dance. Another thing our guests continue to talk about was the amazing lighting throughout our venue! We told him we trusted him and to surprise us and it turned out better than I could've ever imagined!

Phenomenal.
Tony was our DJ for our wedding and we are beyond impressed with the service he provided. He kept the dance floor full all night, worked so well with us before the wedding, responded to the crowd, and made our reception what it was. He was absolutely amazing and I would recommend him to anyone. The number of comments we received about great our DJ did was unbelievable. Tony, thank you for everything!

Our wedding planner recommended DJ Jer to us as we searched for someone to help host our perfect night, and we could not be happier with our experience. DJ Jer made sure that we had a very personalize experience, and took the time to meet with us a few times prior to the wedding to sort out the order of events and music that we wanted played during the evening. We had a great playlist that got so many of our guests on the dance floor, ranging from 80’s music to modern day mainstream. There was absolutely no awkward silence and the night flowed perfectly. It was the perfect night and DJ Jer was a huge contributor to that :) we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ!

Amazing experience
We had DJ Jer himself as our DJ and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning experience. He took several hours to meet with me prior to the wedding to not only get to know what I was looking for but also to just get to know me. He was professional, fun, and made sure everything ran as needed. If you want your reception to be stress free, book with DJ Jer.

Absolutely incredible!
At first, we were a little apprehensive paying for a high quality DJ... we thought “Oh, anyone can just play music.” Boy were we wrong! After hearing horror stories of other companies wedding DJ’s (the sound systems not working, the DJ start kareoke-ing his own personal music to promote himself, playing songs the bride and groom didn’t even like, etc) we decided that was a risk we didn’t want to take. We invested in DJ Jer and started working with Pete. Money well spent!!!!
Our other vendors informed us that Pete had even reached out to them prior to the wedding day, just to verify they were all on the same page for everything .
He is so knowledgeable. It was almost like having a wedding planner with the way he kept everything moving. He is very organized and knows his stuff!
Pete was extremely flexible with our meetings and made our experience truly amazing. His experience in the field is top notch. He really does care that your day goes as smooth as possible. He took charge to keep our guests entertained and informed of every event throughout our wedding.
We had to change up our timeline a little due to the time of sunset; he made this transition seamless. I would have had no idea to do this, but he took charge and told us the best game plan for cake cutting and speeches. Being the bride and groom, we had a complete stress free day.
We gave him a list of about 40 songs (15 must play, and 25 play if possible) and off of that list he created the most amazing playlist. Our dance floor was NEVER empty! We had our guests say after our wedding, that it was the funnest wedding they have been to in a long time!
We even got the photo booth! Our guests LOVED it!! It was a great activity for them to interact with us, and perfect for filling any time voids when we as the bride and groom were busy taking photos. And the proofs after the wedding are hilarious!!!!
Overall, working with DJ Jer was awesome! Jer himself is incredible and after getting to know us, lead us in the perfect direction for choosing Pete as our wedding DJ.

One of a kind!
Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives thanks to the amazing work of DJ Jeremy! He added so many little details to our lighting, design, music selection and ceremony that were all a one of a kind experience! I would HIGHLY recommend him and his staff to everyone I know! 😊

Tony of DJ Jer did an AMAZING job at our wedding! From the ceremony to the reception to the dance, everything was professional and on point! Everything flowed smoothly. DJ Tony was amazing!
He did a great job with our two laid back families ready to have a good time and celebrate! He was so good at getting people involved and the dance floor was always full. The music was fun and upbeat, just as we wanted. There was a thunderstorm and the power went out briefly..maybe 2 minutes. But he didnt panic, we all laughed and had fun, and then the music came back alive. He was up and running again in no time! Everything was great! We couldn't thank him enough!

If you want to be sure you make 1 wedding changing decision, PLEASE have it be hiring DJ Jer. I wish I had the exact words for him and his crew. DJ Jer cares about YOUR wedding like it’s his own. He made our night the most stress free, magical, & quite honestly life changing. We hired DJ Pete and are so happy with our decision! From the planning planning process to the actual evening he is so professional and knows what he is doing! Tony was everything you could want in a DJ. From the start of the ceremony to the very end of the night (and then some after). He made everything flow so seamlessly amongst our roll with it attitude. There were so many moments he made sure we didn't miss on a day the comes and goes so fast. He truly found the vibe to our tribe. Everyone was on the dance floor at some point in the night, including him! August 3rd was filled with so much love, laughter, and dancing. We can't thank Tony enough for helping make that night incredible and giving us many many memories we will cherish forever.

I used DJ Jer Events for my wedding June 29, 2019. Tony Nelson was our DJ/MC. From start to finish we had an excellent experience!! DJ Jer was awesome!! He worked with us to plan our event and to do our voice overs and the recording of the song I sang. DJ and Tony were both very helpful and responsive throughout the process and planning leading up to the wedding.
Tony was AMAZING!!! He made things fun and was great at getting people involved in the reception!! He interacted with the guests, got out on the dance floor, but did not try to steal the show. Perfect balance between professionalism and personality! Tony played the songs we requested and was great at reading the crowd to choose the right songs at just the right times.
I would highly recommend Tony and DJ Jer Events and Lighting Design and would definitely choose them again in the future.
