We could not have asked for a better DJ for our special day! From start to finish, he was incredibly professional and completely nailed every music genre we wanted—and even more. He kept the crowd engaged all night long and the energy on the dance floor never dropped. One of the absolute highlights of our night was his idea to have each table race up to take a funny picture with us which was such a creative touch that had everyone laughing and made for amazing memories. He truly went above and beyond, and we’re so grateful he was part of our wedding day! -

I'm a wedding planner and working with Steve aka DJ Groove over this weekend at a wedding was an exceptional experience. As a planner, I work with a lot of vendors often, but his professionalism, flexibility, and passion for what he does is evident in his work and services.
If you're a bride looking for a DJ who will hear your requests, calm your nerves, and keep the energy on the dance floor all evening, you're looking in the right place. I can't wait to work with DJ Groove again. -

Without a doubt, DJ Groove was one of the best parts of our special day. Steve went out of his way to walk me through the best ways to coordinate the music for each piece of the reception, and had everyone from all ages dancing the entire night! All of my guests said that the dancing was the best part, and I completely agree! He is exactly who you would want to be a part of your wedding day, and he is so special to both my husband and I for making everything flow so perfectly. I could not recommend him enough, and anyone who uses him for their wedding will ADORE having him as your DJ! -

Best decision for our wedding!
DJ Groove was a God send for us! Not only did he make the process of picking out music easy for our wedding day, but it was fun as well!
The day of the wedding he literally was the wedding coordinator, making sure everyone was where they should be, keeping everything on time and moving, and heating up our food before it was served!
When the clean up crew decided to clean early, he stopped everyone and made sure we had a special send off that made our whole day! If you’re looking for a DJ for any special event, stop looking and hire Steve aka DJ Groove! -

Amazing experience
DJ Groove had us dancing all night! He listened to all me and the groom’s request while adding his own songs to make this the most magical night we could ask for. We danced all night long and will definitely book with him again! -

Best DJ ever!
Djgroove made our wedding a party and was so professional and hands how the greatest we could have asked for! Great music choice and order! Amazing with including himself and hanging out and not just standing behind the dj stand! Had a blast and helped complete it to be the best wedding we could have ever imagined it to be! Steven Govan was amazing to work with. We booked him before having a venue, a dress or anything else because he came highly recommended by several trusted sources. He played the music that my daughter, the bride asked him to and he handled the introductions of the families spectacularly. Would hands down recommend for your next event! He has a variety of music that appeals to all ages. -

We could not recommend Steve enough! He was a calming presence for the wedding party and also a great, charismatic MC/DJ for our guests. It felt like he truly cared about making our wedding day special to us as a couple. He took the time to get to know us over Zoom and created a playlist specific to our high school/college years - our guests absolutely loved the music and were dancing till the end of the night. -

Steven was absolutely the best DJ! He made our wedding the best and it wouldn’t have been as nearly as fun without him! If you want to have real party, I 100% recommend him to anybody that wants the best DJ around and an all around great guy to help your wedding be one to remember! We absolutely had so much fun, our guests and family couldn’t stop talking about how great he was! He knows how to have a good time and took such great care of us! Where do I even begin. Look no further than DJ Groove. He has the SMOOTHEST voice, so much that I got so many compliments from my guests that they "loved his voice" or "got entranced by his voice"! I was a very particular bride who knew exactly what I wanted. I made playlists for every beat of the wedding and he played everything I wanted, how I wanted. For my "rave hour" I told him to just do whatever makes the crowd go and he nailed it. SO MANY PEOPLE gave me compliments on his voice and how good his music was. I never met him in person until my wedding, I asked him to do a demo of his transitions, because I've been to a million weddings and am a wedding day of coordinator in my free time. He gave a demo over the phone and I was SOLD!! I knew that he could keep a party going and he SURE DID. My guests did NOT want to leave, in fact, if we were given the choice to have a few more hours w him, we would've done it! He dealt with my very difficult wedding venue owner, Nicole, from Ivy Rose Barn in Virginia. She was incredibly difficult to him and rude and he dealt it with stride. We're still friends until this day and will be friends for life. I plan to hire him for every event I ever have, in fact I want to have an anniversary party every year because he was JUST SO FUN and everyone LOVED him. DON'T HIRE ANYONE ELSE PEOPLE--DJs make or break your wedding. I've been to so many weddings where the DJ doesn't engage. He engaged so much with our guests and audience, he made them cheer so loud for us when we entered the reception that it felt like we were being cheered for like we were at a football stadium. I got chills, I will NEVER forget that feeling and it was because of HIM. All him. He introduced my grandparents at the reception, which I've also never seen any DJ do at a wedding. He was just so freaking special. We love him so much and now he is FAMILY. Yall. 6 PEOPLE RIPPED THEIR PANTS AT MY WEDDING, PEOPLE BROKE THEIR SHOES, DO NOT HIRE ANYONE ELSE! All my gf's getting married are planning to hire him because they LOVED how he did at my wedding and they LOVE his voice!!! HE CARES AS MUCH AS YOU DO AS THE BRIDE!! -

Best DJ Around
DJ Groove showed up and showed out at our wedding. He couldn’t have been a better dj (my expectations are super high) and he killed it. I will be hiring him again or any event I have. He’s flexible, friendly, fun and keeps the vibe alive. He’s amazing. Book him. -

I couldn’t imagine it without him!
I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful DJ Groove is.
He showed up to chaos and things running behind. He swooped in and saved my wedding- guiding us through the entire reception effortlessly. When he kicked on our reception party- he kept EVERYONE dancing the entire night. We count ourselves blessed to have met him! We will absolutely be having him back for our events! -

Saved the Day!
DJ Groove saved our wedding day from chaos in so many ways. Right from the start, he gave us a lot of helpful advice about details to consider in planning our wedding that we would have never thought of! (Ceremony times around traffic, wedding coordinator, etc..) He also helped us map out the music and special introductions. We are Christians and wanted to have a Christian ceremony. He helped us plan and pick Christian music that were appropriate for every detail of the ceremony and dance worthy music for the reception. He shared with us his testimony and gave us great advice about how to honor family during the reception even when relationships were astranged. THEN.... Our wedding coordinator couldn't make it to the ceremony & reception last minute!!!! We panicked. Steve, without hesitation, swooped in and ran the show for us. So blessed!!!! He just took that responsibility without us even having to ask. What I'm even more thankful for was his mini pep talk he had with me before walking down the isle. I was freaking out and the holy spirit just filled him with some excitement I needed to hear. I'm normally a crier....but I had total confidence walking down the isle and was able to say my vows to my husband with such joy. DJ Groove was perfect. He was patient, kind, knew how to get the party going and helped us make our special day extra special. From the bottom of my heart we are so thankful for this man! -

Not many people are 'dancers' in either mine or my husbands family, but DJ Groove helped keep everyone involved and having fun! I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Awesome way to party!
We are glad our wedding planner introduced us to Steve. We got to meet him over Zoom and he was able to create a playlist to match our wide variety of music interests. The guests were dancing throughout our reception. Everyone had nothing but positive things to say about him. Steve is fun, energetic and down to earth. -
