The best DJ on Maui
Our experience with DJ Dan was nothing short of wonderful! He was extremely quick to respond with just two weeks from our wedding and us looking for a last-minute DJ. Not only was he extremely quick with his responses to all of my questions. It was so professional, and he made it very clear that it was about the experience he was giving us. He truly topped off our already perfect wedding and just helped make it that much better. He played all the songs that we really wanted to hear that were important to us along with other songs that were in the same genre to really just make a great vibe for the evening. It was even cool to hear the different renditions of songs we had selected that we really wanted to hear, and he played the most beautiful versions during our dinner that they were still recognizable, but just played so beautifully. Our choice of songs were quite broad. We wanted everything from classic rock, Hispanic, and Latin flavor, hip-hop southern California to Bay Area music, pop songs you name it he played it and the way it all blended in was pretty awesome! We would recommend him for any wedding event on Maui!DJ Dan Maui's reply:

My husband and I ultimately weren't sure if we wanted a DJ for our wedding but we ended up going with Dan - and we are SO happy we did! He responded almost immediately to all of our inquiries and questions, was so easy going and professional, and just has such a good vibe about him. He was totally on board with either letting us pick out all of our own music, or handling that on his own! He matched the crowd and vibe of our reception perfectly, and added such a fun and energetic element to the night. My husband and I had total confidence in him based on our planning, which was a huge stress reliever. I would 100% recommend him to anybody - you wouldn't regret it!! Mahalo!DJ Dan Maui's reply:

Words cannot express how wonderful DJ Dan is! From the beginning, DJ Dan was communicative, reassuring, and was open to listening to my crazy ideas! I was worried about 3 song compilations and he downloaded them in advance and made sure they worked. He followed my song list and added all the traditional Mexican Banda, cumbia, and salsa music I wanted! He even played La Vibora De La Mar for the garter/bouquet toss! He kept the dance floor packed! He was so easy to work with, so kind, and just a pleasure. Thank you DJ Dan for an unforgettable night! -

DJ Dan was the best DJ we could have asked for on our wedding day! After the wedding I had many people asking me for the wedding playlist, but I had only sent Dan about 30 songs total split into two playlists. Everyone was ‘upset’ that I didn’t have the full playlist to share with them since Dan really took control and set the mood the entire day. He mic’d us for the ceremony and took requests all night, making sure to fit in all the vibes. Everyone loved DJ Dan and so did we! Beyond being great the day-of, he was amazing leading up to our wedding and was there to meet us during the venue tour as well. He was our only choice for DJ since every single person I spoke to while getting quotes had recommended him!
We assembled the perfect team for our big day at the Olowalu Plantation House on Maui, ending up with 35 guests there to help us celebrate our love. We had beautiful table arrangements and leis from Val at MauiWeddingFlowers.net, delicious appetizers and dinner from FFTS, a great tone set by DJ Dan throughout the day, and priceless help from Tina at FFTS every step of the way. The moment was captured in stills by our friend Cat, and on video by Andre at All Time Media. Despite many setbacks leading up to our big day, our team were all on the same page and able to accommodate last minute changes.
We couldn’t have asked for a better day to become one, so thank you Dan so much for being a part of making that happen. I cannot recommend DJ Dan enough for your wedding day or any event, big or small, you will not regret it! -

DJ Dan is simply the BEST! I am so thrilled that we got to work with him for our wedding on 6/22/22. The music for the reception was really important to my dad, so DJ Dan worked with him via email for weeks in preparation for the big day. Dad, along with our entire family, had glowing reviews about him! He was so kind to me and all of the guests. He even pulled me aside briefly before the ceremony to tell me how beautiful my dress was—which was so kind and generous and really helped to settle my nerves before the wedding. The ceremony and reception music was absolutely spot on and we were grooving and dancing into the night! Despite my family having super specific requests/concepts for the father/daughter dance and our first dance, DJ Dan delivered our vision into a beautiful reality! Not only is he incredibly professional, but he is also personable, kind, and the most generous soul. We absolutely loved working with him! Thank you for everything, DJ Dan! -

DJ Dan was absolutely amazing! He was so helpful and accommodating at our vow renewal. He worked with me every step of the way and incorporated all of our requests and favorite songs. He directed the entire reception and it was perfect!!! His light setup topped everything off and everyone felt that they were in a club! I highly recommend him for any type of party, wedding or reception. Thank you Dan!!! -

DJ DAN Viola MAUI made our wedding day extremely special!! He was fit to the tee for this DJ role! You can completely see his experience and professionalism with his ambiance. He helped me create a fun father- bride dance with multiple songs included and stitched it together perfectly! He was more than willing to help and made me feel comfortable to ask him for anything I needed, songs I wanted played as well. He was down for it all!! He has such great demeanor and energy during the entire day! We loved having him there for us! My husband and I knew immediately he was the perfect DJ when he was recommended by multiple other vendors in Maui and then after we met him face to face and could feel his sincere Mana of Hawaii, encompassing the total aloha spirit, we knew he was the one!! He was incredible and ran the wedding so seamlessly! We both were so impressed with how well he reads the crowd and can get everyone up and dancing, announcing grand entrances and speeches and making the event seem so energetic! We absolutely loved DJ DAN MAUI and would hire him over and over again! He is all about the love and loves the love story of the bride and groom and truly encompasses the love experience of your wedding day! Cailin Sent on 05/30/2018We hired DJ Dan for because he was recommended by wedding organizer as being THE BEST DJ and best value for your dollar and I couldn't agree with her more after having had him! We only needed him to be in charge of music as we had an MC already and a smaller budget to work with and he was exactly what we wanted! I would have to say he was the easiest person I have every worked with or hired in my whole life - I think we had three emails back and fourth in total and on the day of the wedding there he was with the exact play list and all the songs timed right and the correct versions and all the little minor details I had asked for he incorporated without even a question about them! Totally read our minds and read the crowd and had us dancing all night long it was amazing! He is also such a nice friendly guy he always had something nice to say to me or the guests and a smile on his face - he really enjoys his work and it was so nice to have that! Music can make or break a wedding and with DJ Dan you know its gonna be an epic time!! -

My husband ended up in the ICU at Maui memorial hospital the night before our wedding and we weren't sure if we were even going to get married on our wedding day. Our coordinator was kind enough to contact all of our vendors including Dan to let him know our situation and possibly adjust our schedule if we were going to go through with it on our planned day. Thankfully, he was released from the hospital in the afternoon on our wedding day and we were still able to get married that evening. Dan was there, ready and waiting for us when we got there. We made a few changes to our schedule since we were short on time and he was more than happy to accommodate. We had decided not to do any of our dances (first dance, mother/son, father/daughter) since my hubby was on some strict doctors orders and Dan adjusted so smoothly for us. We even decided later to still do the anniversary dance and when we did, Dan chose what was supposed to be our First dance song, to be the anniversary dance song and had us stay out on the dance floor (not typically the tradition of the song) with the remaining couples and have our first dance. It still brings tears to my eyes that we were able to share that special moment as husband and wife with all of the other married couples at our wedding to the song we had chosen to dance to. I will never forget how gracious everyone who contributed to our wedding was including DJ Maui Dan. He knows how to throw a party, he reads the crowd and he definitely knows how to make the bride and groom feel so incredibly special. If we could do it all over again (without the trip to the hospital), we would without a doubt choose Dan again. Thank you SO much for everything you did for us!

He not only played all the best music we wanted but he also helped to MC the whole wedding, explained to us how to cut the cake, what to do! He was more of a friend at the wedding playing music than a standard "DJ"
Our flower girl (who is 4) really wanted to hear music from Moana and DJ Dan played all her favorites (after Okaying with us)
Everyone had an amazing time! Thanks DJ Dan, we loved having you there! Highly recommended! -

He also went above and beyond in helping us and our guests prepare for a send off with sparklers. He made sure everyone stayed on task but helped us all have a great time. Thanks Dan! -

Dan was a last minute replacement for the DJ originally hired (who up and left Maui 2 weeks before wedding). What a blessing it was to get Dan to come in and take control of a stressful situation. I will admit to being a total control freak on the music I wanted played at the wedding and Dan was able to accommodate each and every request. I gave him a list of 200 songs with some obscure covers of famous songs. He got each and every one of them. He listened and researched all our requests. Seriously - I love that he took the time to really make our wedding/reception everything we wanted.
At the reception - he was able to get the party started in a fun way that got many of our conservative friends and family on the dance floor. Not just for one song or two - but for the whole night. Simply the best. -

Lorilee Sent on 09/22/2011Dan is professional, friendly and played great music at our wedding! I didn't even meet Dan until after my ceremony right before the reception and he did an excellent job. He was great about finding a happy medium between our likes and everyone's requests. We would definitely recommend DJ Dan!
